Chapter Thirty-Seven: Astra [Part One]
Weeks have gone by, The Legionaries was still looking for Lillian and Rhea.
Mon-El was standing in front of monitor when there was an incoming call from one of the transmissions.
He answered the call shocked to see his mother in hologram form in front of him, "Mother," he spoke his voice firm.
"Son," she nodded "It's my knowledge that you've been looking for me helping the kryptonian."
"That's right," Mon-El nodded "You've been working with Lillian Luthor, the woman who wants to kill aliens."
"No, she wants to kill Supergirl and so do I," Rhea spoke "It's also to my knowledge that you've conceived a child with Supergirl."
Mon-El's hand clenched into a fist "Leave Astra out of this," Mon-El growled.
"OhAstra? That's her name?" Rhea cackled "How are you allowing that blonde Kryptonian run around with your daughter and the green archer pretending to be a happy family?" Rhea asked clicking her tongue as if she a disappointed.
"What do you want mother?" Mon-El growled again.
"I want you and your ex lover to meet me," Rhea told him "Alone, no husband no fiancé just both of you," Rhea added "If you don't show...well I guess I won't have a grandchild anymore," she smirked ending the call.
Mon-El slammed his fist on the control center just as Imra walked in "Mon?" she said his name sensing his frustration "What's the problem?"
"We're going to the DEO," Mon-El turned to face his fiancé "Now."
"Alright, everything's all good," Alex told Kara as she put the monitor away "Your in the clear," she smiled.
"So we're allowed to tell everyone now?" Oliver asked smiling.
Alex nodded just as Winn came running in "Kara," he was out of breath "What are you guys doing in here?" Kara moved to answer but Winn continued "It doesn't matter, Mon-El is here and he isangry."
"He's angry?" Kara sat up wiping her stomach "Why is he angry?" She pulled down her shirt.
"He's just saying that he needs to see you ASAP."
Kara rolled her eyes standing up, she left the room the other three behind her as they made their way to the main room in the DEO.
"Mon-El what's the problem?"
"I got a call from my mother," he told her, Kara's eyes widened "She's aware that we've been looking for her."
"What did she want?" Oliver asked.
Mon-El stared at him before turning back to Kara "She wants you and I to meet her to talk."
"What?" Kara's eyes widened even more her hand instinctively landing on her stomach.
"No! Hell no!" Oliver stepped closer behind his wife "She's not going near them."
"This doesn't concern you," Mon-El glared at Oliver "We have more choice."
"This doesn't concern me?" Oliver scoffed stepping closer to Mon-El "Your mother wants to kill my wife. How doesn't that concern me?" he growled.
"Get out of my face." Mon-El told him.
"Oliver!" Kara pulled her husband back "Calm down," she said turning back to Mon-El "Why don't we have a choice?"
"She threatened Astra."
Oliver was pacing the room frustrated as Kara was trying to talk to him.
"Oliver," Kara sighed softly "Ollie, please just calm down."
"Calm down?" Oliver stopped pacing to face Kara "That woman threatened our daughter."
"I know," she stepped towards him "That's why I have to go with Mon-El," she grabbed his hands.
"Kara no."
"Oliver, she doesn't want you or Imra there, you heard what Mon-El told us," she told him "If we don't show then something could happen to Astra, while I'm gone I need you to get Astra and Tommy from school."
"Kara..." his eyes darted to her stomach, he moved his hands out of her grip and placed them on her flat stomach "You don't have your powers," he said softly.
"I know," Kara nodded "Alex is going to give me something with yellow sunlight to make my powers come back quickly."
"What about the baby?"
"She said it's something that will put some kind of force field around the baby so it wouldn't get hurt..." Kara placed a hand on his cheek "Oliver, we'll be fine, I need you to make sure the kids are safe here or at home with you."
"Can you promise me that?" Kara asked. Oliver nodded looking up at Kara.
Kara gave Oliver a kiss as Alex entered the room with a cup of yellow liquid.
"Drink this."
"What is that?" Kara asked taking the cup putting up to her nose.
"Drink it."
Kara nodded downing the liquid pulling the cup away from her lips making a disgusting look as she groaned in disgust.
Kara and Mon-El stood in the alleyway of the alien bar "Are sure this is the location she sent you?" Kara asked Mon-El.
"Yes, positive." Mon-El nodded.
Mon-El eyed her "Congratulations by the way," he said to her "On the baby."
Kara's eyes widened "How did you know...?"
"I guess I have a gift," Mon-El shrugged.
"Oh...thank you..." Kara flashed him a soft smile just as a portal beam came down.
"I guess we're going on the spaceship..." Mon-El sighed "After you."
Kara nodded stepping in the beam first then Mon-El joined her at her side then they were beamed up.
