A/N: so this story is close to ending and I have to ask; would you all like a sequel of them healing past this?

Chapter Forty-Three: Hunters, Time travelers, and one pissed off mother VS. Aliens and Cadmus [part one?]

Earlier

"Wow..." Sara slumped back in her chair. Oliver had caught Team Flash and the Legends up on everything.

"Buts it's Felicity...she would —"

"Never?" Kara cut Ray off with a scoff "She did and she committed to doing so," she stood up "I'll let you all deal with this tragic process of one of your on being evil while I go try and find my daughter."

She walked, Oliver stood up to go after his wife but Sara stopped him, "I got this," Sara told Oliver before jogging after Kara.

~~~
"Kara!" Sara called out, sprinting after the Kryptonian. "Kara, wait!"
Kara kept walking, her pace so swift that Sara, despite her best efforts, couldn't catch up.
"Kara Danvers!" Sara shouted, frustration lacing her tone. "I know you can hear me!"
Kara finally halted, turning to face her friend. "Of course I can hear you," she said, her voice tight with emotion. "But I'm trying to save my daughter."
Sara stepped closer, her tone softening. "We're all trying to save her, Kara," she said gently.
Kara's hand instinctively went to her stomach, her fingers brushing against the small but unmistakable movements of her baby. Her composure wavered, and tears began to roll down her cheeks.
"Kara? What's wrong?" Sara asked, concern etched across her face.
"My daughter is missing," Kara choked out, her voice trembling. "And my baby is moving, and I'm drowning in these pregnancy hormones!" She sobbed, her frustration spilling over. "And I can't even celebrate this moment with my husband because the universe hates me!" With a surge of anger, she lashed out, punching the nearby wall.
Sara froze for a moment, her eyes widening. "Wait... you're pregnant?"
"Yeah," Kara sniffled, wiping at her tears. "We were waiting to tell everyone until it was safe, but now—now this happened."
"Kara," Sara said softly, reaching out to grasp her friend's hand. "We're going to bring Astra home. Everything's going to be okay."
Kara shook her head, her voice cracking. "We both know how this works, Sara. We don't gamble with lives. Not with hers. Not with anyone's."
Sara's grip tightened, her voice steady. "No, vigilantes don't gamble with lives. Neither do the Legends or Team Flash. But you, Kara—you're Supergirl. You're the one who gives hope to everyone in this building and across the entire Earth. You're the promise that everything will be okay."
"How am I supposed to have hope right now?" Kara's voice broke as fresh tears welled up in her eyes. "I'm pretty sure my marriage is falling apart."
"Hey, no," Sara said firmly, stepping closer. "Your marriage with Oliver is not falling apart, okay?" She reached out, gently wiping away Kara's tears. "Listen, Nate came up with a plan during the time jump."
Kara blinked, momentarily startled. "A plan? Already?"
Sara nodded. "Yeah. Here's the deal: you'll try your way first—do what you think is right. But if it doesn't work, you'll have to agree to their terms."
"No," Kara said instantly, shaking her head. "I'm not marrying Mon-El."
"You won't have to," Sara assured her, raising a calming hand. "But you'll need to make it look convincing. Stage the ceremony, and ask for me to witness it. Insist on Astra being present and untouched as part of the agreement."
"And if something goes wrong?" Kara asked, her voice laced with apprehension.
Sara anticipated the question and nodded. "If anything goes south, the Legends will step in. They'll know, and they'll bring backup."
"What about Oliver? Or the others?" Kara pressed.
"It's better if they stay out of this," Sara said, her expression serious. "The ship is probably equipped with kryptonite and meta-dampeners. It's already dangerous enough with you not having your powers—pregnant, no less—and Astra being held hostage up there."
"So, it's just the Legends?" Kara asked, her tone uncertain.
"Yeah," Sara confirmed. "It's safer this way."
Now
Rhea and Lillian called on their followers who immediately came in the room rushing.
"Kara, what is this?" Mon-El was not aware of this plan.
Kara punched her ex. Which if her husband was the Green Arrow and her sister was an agent who showed her out to use her fist correctly would have hurt since there were kryptonite.
"Where's our back up!?" Kara shouted her hand protectively going over her stomach before rushing over to Astra, her paralysis still happening.
Soldiers surged toward Sara and Kara, weapons raised and aimed. Instinctively, Kara stepped protectively in front of her daughter, her eyes scanning the advancing threat.
"If only I had my powers," she muttered under her breath as she and Sara prepared to fight.
Sara, ever resourceful, pulled a handful of weapons seemingly out of nowhere. With a practiced motion, she tossed a small staff and a knife to Kara, who caught them effortlessly.
The battle erupted in chaos. Blades clashed, and the air filled with shouts and gunfire.
"Ahh!" Sara cried out, her hand shooting up to clutch her shoulder. Blood seeped between her fingers as she stumbled--she'd been hit by a Cadmus agent's shot.
"Sara, where the hell are the Legends?!" Kara cursed, her movements fierce despite the lack of her Kryptonian strength.
Just then, the oppressive kryptonite lights flickered and died, and the meta-dampeners deactivated. A sudden breach tore through the air, and out jumped Ray, Mick, Nate, and Amaya.
"Sorry we're late," Ray called, his voice tinged with both relief and urgency.
"You try finding the Winchesters on short notice," Nate quipped as Sam and Dean leapt through the breach behind them.
Dean smirked, cocking his gun with a satisfying click. "Alright, let's kill some people and aliens."
The reinforcements rushed forward, joining Kara and Sara in the fray. Sam froze momentarily, his gaze locking onto Astra, who was slumped in a wheelchair, bruised and battered.
"They did that to her?" Dean asked, fury simmering in his voice.
"Yes!" Kara yelled, fending off another attacker. "Now stop staring and help us!"
Dean and Sam wasted no time, diving into the fight. Gunshots rang out as the brothers took down enemy after enemy, their blades slicing through those who got too close. Mick unleashed a fiery blast from his heat gun, while Amaya activated her totem, summoning the spirit of a powerful animal to aid her assault.
"Kara!" Nate shouted, tossing a yellow sunlight grenade her way. The device exploded in a brilliant burst of light, temporarily blinding their enemies.
"Ray! Nate! Get Astra onto the Waverider!" Sara barked, her voice sharp and commanding despite the pain in her shoulder.
A/N: Happy New Year! So I tried ChatGPT rewrite most of this professionally.
Again would anyone like a sequel to this book?
