Entry Thirty-Two

February 01, 2001

First day of the month. Today I felt sore as hell, I would stretch and move around even though it hurt. All day I did this. I was in bed the whole day. My dear husband was busy doing I don't know what, but Granger actually grace me with her presences. I guess the day before she had came into the dining room while I was dealing with the six idiots, and was appalled with what she seen. I rolled my eyes and asked her what she was so shocked for. Then she told me she had never seen someone do that. I looed at her like she had a horn sticking out of her head. I said what, what do you mean? You were there for the battle and watched people die. How can you be appalled by what I did. I guess she meant the torture part of it. I took a deep breath and said Granger, your husband was laying on that table bleeding and had healers around him getting worked on. Didn't that do anything to you? Then she says, its part of his job and duties. I laughed at her response, and told her, in all the many missions we went on, never have I ever let either of them get laid out or injured to the point where I needed a healer to take care of them. I just said wow. I told her I guess that is where we differ from one another. My husband put his life on the line for a bunch of no bodies who were selfish to leave them behind even if they were ordered to go. I just told her those men are lucky I let them live, I should of took their lives. I guess Granger had the magical residue removed from the chains and the healers had put essence of dittany on the wounds made by the chains. Thanks to her, nothing was found on those damn chains.

I asked her why she came, she said she had been doing research and wanted to share the notes she has taken. I said alright, bring them over so I can look at them. I sat at my desk, pulled out my note book and looked over my notes, when I heard the door open and Granger came walking in with her strolls. I rolled my eyes, I said can't you use a note book, you aren't at Hogwarts anymore. She just glared at me, as she put the strolls down and sat on the sofa next to my desk. I got up and put a robe on, because I was in a night gown, sat back down and opened the first stroll, looked over the notes she took, and flipped through my notebook and found the same runes I had translated. I cross referenced my notes to hers, there were a few new stuff she had written down, and I asked if I could mark on her strolls, she nodded her head, and I began writing on her strolls, crossing out translations she had done, and fixing them, so they made more sense. Then went back to my notebook, and crossed out stuff and rewrote some translations. It went on for several strolls, and when I was done, she was looking over her strolls and looked at me and said you take really good notes. I said thanks, and looked at my note book and crossed out some things. I said you do too, some of your translations are wrong, so I fixed them. That's when she asked how I knew how to translate the runes. I said because I read Granger, I read tomes on runes and blood magic, and I remember things. Then she asked, when did you read those tomes? I told her, I think the first time was when I was at Hogwarts and then the year before last, and last year, I've read several. Granger then asked, if I have to get the tome to reference now. I said no, I can recall what I've read.

Granger looked at me like she was confused, I said I see pictures of what I read in my mind. I have good memory. I've always had good memory since I was little. She just said oh. I thanked her for showing me her notes and said I am taking rest day today and tomorrow. Then I'll be back at doing research again. She said she will be in the library. I said alright and she left. Sometimes I think people really underestimate me or I look like an idiot. Because people are always surprised, I can think or have an opinion. Naturally I like to observe people, listen to conversations, I rarely butt into conversations as well. I think just not saying anything has people think I don't think at all, until I speak up.

I was standing at the balcony door looking out, it was foggy outside, so there wasn't much to see, but I like the coolness and cold draft by the door. Theo came back and stood behind me and wrapped his arms around me. I turned and hugged him. I looked up at him, touched his face and inspected his face, and I could see a faint pink scar along his jaw line. I asked him if he was feeling better, he said like new. I kissed his cheek and said thank goodness you are alright. I was beyond myself when I saw you laying on that table. He said he was a little sore, but he was better. I asked him about Draco, he said he was still resting in his room. He lifted me up and sat down on the sofa with me sitting on his across his lap. I held his hand, caressing his long fingers, and massaged his hand, and he said Lucius told him what happened. The healers had to take care of the rest of the death eaters and obliviated them. I told him I was so upset, angered to the point my magic leaked out and I got a hold of Pucey's wand then all hell broke lose from there. I told him I was bonded to the bed. He looked at me, I laughed, what more would I do when I woke up. I drank two vials of the magic binding potion. He kissed the top of my head and held me tight. I told Theo I wanted to start training again, I needed to get back into shape. He asked why, I said because I needed too.

Despite what happened, it was a nice day and night. I checked on Draco after awhile and he was sleeping when I went into his room. Draco had his chest bandaged and his left arm was also banged up. I wiped his face with a warm cloth, and he woke up. He looked confused for a minute and realize it was me. I asked him if he was okay, he said he was fine, he just needed rest and to finish healing. I didn't ask Theo or Draco about their mission, but Theo did tell me he found George Weasley and that he was dead. Draco had asked me why I was walking around with just my night robe, I said because I'm resting too. I said remember I had my inspection. He laughed and said oh yeah, I remember. Seems like you got out of it intacted. I said yeah I did, I said thanks to Granger. Draco asked how, I said I taught her how to erase magical residue, and she did that to my chains when I was knocked out, he was confused and asked why I was knocked out. I said father had to knock my ass out to prevent me from killing all the Death Eaters who were with you guys. He was even more confused, so I gave him a run down what happen the other day and at my inspection. He just told me I was crazy. I just smiled and said I know, thank you. I went back to my room and got ready for bed.

So all in all, it was a good slow day.
