Chapter 36: Spawn Vs. Water Dragon

In the Sky of Metropolis

Lady Death was slowly opening her eyes because of the sun. She was looking around to see that she was in the sky, but she looked up to see that she was being carried by a seeker fiend. She drew her sword and stabbed the beast in the leg which cause it to let go of Lady Death. She was dropping out of the sky and she was free falling. She closed her eyes as the ground was coming up fast but she didn't felt a thing. Then she open on eye to see that she was floating. She was looking at Supergirl that was floating with her in her arms.

"That was a close call." Supergirl said.

She landed and gentle placed Lady Death on the ground. She was looking at her blonde girl. She was looking around the city for a moment as she saw cars driving and tall building.

"What is this place?" Lady Death asked.

"I could tell that you are not from around here." Supergirl assumed.

Lady Death was looking at the blonde super human. She turned her head to see that some of the guys were looking at the white haired woman because the way she was dressed. Then she zipped in front of them as she wrapped her cape around Lady Death.

"Sorry boys. This is not a free show. That your little dicks elsewhere." Supergirl siad.

She notice that they were listening to her. She stomped her foot into the ground to prove her point which scared them away. She turned back around to see that Lady Death was gone. She was looking around for a moment as she palmed her forehead.

"Oy, I should've taking her somewhere else." Supergirl said.

She flew off to find Lady Death as she was looking around for a moment. She was using her X-ray vision to through the buildings until she spotted Lady death hiding around the corner. She could see the raw energy coming off of her. She was flew down next to Lady death.

"You know that you can't hide from me. I have X-ray vision." Supergirl said.

Lady death gasped as she turned around to see that Supergirl was right behind her. She jumped back to get some distance between her and Supergirl. She was about to draw her sword but the pain from her leg shock through her as she dropped to her knees while her holding her right leg. Supergirl gasped as she flew towards her and looking at the white haired.

"That looks bad. Let me check." Supergirl said.

She used her X-ray to see Lady Death's skeletal structure and she saw that her right leg had suffered major fracsher.

"I need to take you back to my place where we can treat that leg." Supergirl suggested.

"What am I, mortal? Are you treat like a prisoner of war?" Lady Death asked.

"'Prisoner of war?' No, it just that my place might have some things that we need to treat you. I would never do that to you." Supergirl said.

She gently picked Lady Death up in a bridal style. She flew back to her placed that she shared with Spawn.

Back to Spawn

Spawn was flying through the air. He was looking at Zane who was meditating for a moment. He was looking at the scanner for moment as he got the glimpse of Sonja's helicopter. He smiled at that the location.

"Hey Zane, you might want to come up here. We're about to meet up with Ryu and the other two Hellspawn." Spawn said.

Zane got out of his meditation and walked up to the cockpit and took a seat. Spawn was adjusting the controls and turned the ship towards the location of Ryu and the others.

Meanwhile in Europe

There was a city that was surrounded by water. There in the middle of the vast water, was a Castle. Inside of the castle, there was a man who was fighting for his life against a werewolf. There was a bigger wolf that was sitting on the throne, watching the match as he was looking rathered bored. He let out a sigh as he was watching the poor guy being mauled to death by the werewolf.(A/N: Anyone that played Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, could you tell me the name of the city because I have been looking up the name where the Lycantrophe Castle is located. I would be most appericated.)

"hmmm...this bores me."

He looked around to see that his fellow wolves were howling in triumphs. Then he drew back his hand and snapped it as he created a wind slice which killing the victory. It caught the attention of some of the wolves that was talking among themselves. Then the giant wolf stood up and clapped his hands together which make a dust storm which silent the rest of the werewolves.

"So fragile, a lot of them. So WEAK! I cannot stand another minute of this tedium. You will find me a mighty adversary! You will bring before me an opponent worthy of I...Volf, Greater Fiend and Ruler of Storms. Accomplish this... And you shall be made ruler of this land!" Volf said.

Then his werewolves cheered and howled. Volf just chuckled as he watch them ran out of the castle to head into the streets. Outside of the city streets, there was people was walking around and some were taking boat rides. Little did they know, that they were going to be slaughtered. A woman was walking past a man as he got lost by her beauty as a split second, a werewolf jumped out of nowhere and maul him to death. The woman turned around and saw the werewolf as she started to run but the wolf was too quick for her as she was clawed in the back.

More and more werewolves came out of hide and attacking the people. Some of the people was getting away as they were running past Ryu, Kotaro, and Ryuichi. Then three werewolves stopped as they were looking at the three of them and each others. They charge at them without hesitation, but to only be killed with an instinct. Both Kotaro and Ryuichi sniffed the air as they both knew that there was still more wolves in the area. All three of them ready their weapons as more werewolves appeared.

The three of them separate to take on some of the wolves. Kotaro used her tigers claws to cut the wolf head off as she was looking at the rest of the wolves which she turned into a full tiger as she was mauled them to death. Ryuichi used her Kusarigama as she change the shape of the blade as she sliced a couple of wolves in half. Ryu was using his nipo to take out the rest of the werewolves.

The three of them finished their fight as they were heading towards the bridge but there were a fiend with wings and more werewolves heading towards them. Then the three of them heard a sound of ship heading towards the bridge. They looked at the direction of the sound as they saw inferno heading towards the bridge.

"Bridge." Zane said.

"I got it." Spawn said.

They were getting close to the birdge.

"Bridge!" Zane yelled out.

"I got it." Spawn said.

"BRIDGE!" Zane shouted.

"I got it." Spawn said.

He released the rocket at the werewolves and the black fiend creature with wings before pulling the stick up as the ship shot past the bridge. Then both Zane and Spawn unbuckle their belts and heading towards the ramp and jumped down to the bridge. They were looking at Zane with a confuse on their face.

"Hey guys, I would like to introduce you to Zane. He is a hellspawn known as Kong." Spawn said.

Zane bow to the three of them as did Ryu, Kotaro and Ryuichi. Ryu was walking up to Spawn.

"We got report that there another Fiend that live up in a castle." Ryu said.

"I see that. That would explain the werewolves. It would expect more since wolves travel in packs. " Spawn said.

"They probably be somewhere around town once we process further." Ryu said.

Spawn nodded his head as he got a strange feeling that something or someone was nearby. They started to proceed towards the location of the enemy. Little did they know, that there was two other people from the other side of the city. They were fighting against werewolves. One of them has a woman with hourglass body and have long purple hair along with pink on her bangs as she was wearing a black tank top which shows her midsection. She has a pair of gauntlets on both of her wrists.

She was turned her attention to a boy with the same face as her. He was dressed in black sleeveless shirt and hoodie with a grey cargo pants. He was holding a black Scythe as he was using his the dark power of the scythe to ripped the souls from the werewolves. He placed the scythe his shoulder as he walked up to his twin sister.

"These wolves never came during the day. They always waited until nightfall."

"I agree, brother. Something else is in play here. We're not interesting anymore. It would seem that there are new players on the board."

"What is that evil wolf planning?"

"Come, Calvin. We must meet these now chess pieces."

"Right behind you, Kiara." Calvin said.

They both started walking way from the battlefield before Calvin looked to see that one of the Werewolves was still alive. He extended his hand as he used his power to take the last wolf's soul. He closed his palm as he felt his hunger growl.

"These small fries are not enough for fill my hunger."

He fellow after his twin sister.

Back with Ryu and others.

Ryu and the others cut down the last remaining werewolves as they were making their way over to the water fountain. When they got close, the water was cut off. Spawn was looking for a moment as he placed his hand on his hilt. Then Kataro sniffed the air for a moment as she got the same feeling. Zane twirl his staff a few times before he slammed it to the ground which caused the ground to shake. As the ground shook as these metal creatures were popping out of the fountain. Spawn was looking at Zane with an impressed look on his face.

"Wow, that future sight is pretty handy." Spawn said.

The creatures attack them as they all dispatch them with eases. They walked up to the water fountain to see that there was no water. They jumped down for a moment as they follow where this pathway was leading out to the water streets.

They all started to swim through the city as they came across a watermill. They all looked at the each other as Ryu was swimming towards the wheel. He jumped up to grabbed a pole and jumped. Spawn used his chains to get to the top as Kotaro grabbed onto him. Then Zane used his monkey powers to get to the top. Once they waited for Ryu, they started to move forward. They came towards a large and what was waiting for them were a group of Werewolves and one of them was completely red.

"Wow, talk about too much red." Spawn said.

"I got him." Zane said.

He started to transform into his monkey form. (look up Sun Wukong the monkey King). He roar at the beast in front of him before he charge at the red fur werewolf while the others handle the others wolves. Kong was using is strength to knock the wolf around a few times. Once the other took out of the other wolves, they all watch as Kong grabbed the red wolf and put him into a headlock before he used his strength to snapped his neck.

"Not bad, man." Spawn said.

Zane was grinning in his monkey form as they all started to head inside. Spawn was looking around for a moment to see that this building was a storehouse of some kind. He was looking around for a moment as he was got strange feeling in the back of his mind that was telling him something. Outside of the building, the two people from earlier arrive to the building. The woman's eyes was glowing for a moment.

"I sense two hellspawn, brother."

"I could sense them as well, sister."

They both jumped down and make their way inside of the building. Back with the other, Spawn was looking around for a moment as he noticed that there was something off about floorboard. He placed his hand on the floorboard to feel it was a wood board.

"Strange." Spawn said.

He used his sword to force the wood to break. He saw that it was a secret passageway.

"Hey guys, I have found something." Spawn said.

Then Ryu, Zane, Ryuchi and Kotaro came over to his direction. They looked down at secret passageway. Then they were looking at Spawn for a moment as they were trying to figure out what to do next.

"So, what's do you think is down there?" Zane asked.

"I don't know." Spawn said.

"That's is secret pathway do the undercity that was flooded along time ago.."

Spawn and the others were readying their weapons as they were looking at the direction of the mysterious voice. Then out of the shadows were two twins that was geared up.

"Easy, friends. We don't mean you no harm."

"Forgive me for not believing you." Spawn said.

"You must be Spawn. Cagliostro's successor. Allow us to introduce ourselves. I am the brawler Hellspawn, Arcana. This is my twin brother the Soul taker Hellspawn, Soul." Acrana said.

Spawn knew that he had no choice but to trust them. He lowered his sword before he sheathed his sword. Then Kotaro and Ryuichi both lower their weapons as did Zane and Ryu. Both twins were smiling to have their trust. Soul was looking down for a moment. He placed his hand over to the entrance.

"There are lost souls down there that would like to feast on you." Soul said.

"Huh. I am impressed that you can sense lost souls." Spawn said.

"Oh you haven't seen nothing yet, my friend." Arcana said.

She jumped down into the passageway as her gauntlets were on fire. She slammed into the water which it all evaporated. She was was smiling as the entire room was steamy. Spawn and the other minus Soul were shocked to see the power that Arcana has. Spawn shook his head and used his chains to dropped down. The others follow suit behind her as they saw the steamy.

"Wow. I did not expect that to happen." Spawn said.

"Well, you never expect to meet a Hellspawn with the power of the sun before." Arcana mentioned.

Soul was looking off in the distance to see ghost fish with sharp fangs. They looked like piranha and he walked up to one of them as it sniffed for human flesh. It charged at Soul but he raise his hand as the spirit was absorbed into Soul as it was now part of him. Then more ghost piranhas attacked because they all attack in a group. He did the same to the rest of them as he closed his hand.

"Okay, this made our journey a little bit easier." Spawn said.

"I agree with you." Zane said.

They all started to make their way to a giant hole on the floor it happened to be another pathway. but it was filled with water. They jumped into the water as they started to descend under the water. Spawn noticed a passage that lead somewhere. He was swimming towards the entrance while everyone else was following behind him. They were making their way towards another room. Spawn looked up to see that there was light up. They all swam towards the top as they all came up for air.

"What the hell?" Spawn said.

"This is an underground city." Kotaro said.

"I thought that is not possible. We're near the castle of the lycians. There was once a ancient city that was used to be the home of the lycians. I guessed that time brought this place to ruin." Arcana said.

We swam to a platform to get their barriens. Ryu was looking around for a moment as he felt something was off. Zane was looking around as he got a strange feeling as well. Soul and Arcana was looking around at the markings on the wall.

"This place is amazing." Ryuichi said

Spawn stopped moving for a moment as he was feeling something touching him.

"Hey Zane, could you stop breathing so hard. I could feel your breath down my neck." Spawn said.

"Uh Spawn, I'm over here." Zane said.

Spawn raise an eyebrow as he slowly turned around to see there was a creature that just raise up. The water was pouring off its body. It let out a powerful roar which it cause the water to ripple.

"A Dragon?! I thought that they were a fairytale?!" Spawn said.

"Well, thanks to the fiends that brought this creature back from extinction." Arcana said.

Zane transformed into his Kong form as he charge at the Dragon. They both were struggling to overpower one another. Spawn drew his sword as did Ryu. They both jumped on the dragon as they both stabbed the creature which caused it to roar out in pain. The beast started to whipped its head from side to knocked the both of them off. Ryuichi was using her weapon as she added fire to it. She swung as the blade cutted the beast in the face.

Arcana brought her fist together as they caught on fire. She was charging at the dragon as she punched it as fire burned the creature. It roar as it was hurt once again. Kotaro transformed into her tiger form as lightning started to build up around her. She charged at the water dragon as she bite it which had a major effect on the beast. The water dragon turned its head as it roar to called for reinforcement. Then out of nowhere there was ghost perona attacking them, but Soul absorbed them into his hand. He used his scythe to land a large cut on the water dragon.

Then Kong took the advantage to knocked the dragon over as he was trying to drown the dragon. It was struggling to get air. Arcana was ripping open the dragon's wound to exposed the beasts heart. Spawn and Ryu brought their swords down on the beast's heart. Once both swords pierce the heart, there was a massive blood splattered and the dragon was starting to descend into the water. The pillars started to crumble around but they all dived into the water to avoid the pillars. They were looking over at the dragon was descending into the water.
