"Welcome back to Total Drama: Despair Island." Starkweather said. "Today we are going to be holding a challenge soon. But who will live? And who would be the first person to die? Well, let's find out, shall we?"
After Starkweather does the intro, he gets a call from Mr. Nasty.
"Good morning, Mr. Starkweather. I'm impressed by how things for going so far." Mr. Nasty begins to say. "You got the challenge set up?"
"Yep. It's going to be challenging for the contestants." Starkweather smirked.
"Good. I will call you to meet you after the night is over." He said.
"Alright. I'll see you soon."
After that, he hangs up the phone.
It was finally morning after a long afternoon and night.
At around 8:00 am, the loudspeaker crackled to life, promptly followed by the static blare of a voice.
"Rise and shine, contestants! I hope you all got a good night's sleep in preparation for your very first challenge today!" Starkweather said.
Obviously, the contestants were far from pleased. Their reactions ranged from groggy and incoherent mumbling to groaning into their pillows to simply just sobbing.
"Breakfast will be served in 10 minutes, that's 8:10 am. So you better get up and be there before 10 am. Otherwise, you will be facing punishment. See you all soon."
The loudspeaker then shut off. All of the characters moaned and dragged themselves out of bed.
While everyone was heading towards the Mess Hall, Cocoa Cookie struggled to get there due to lack of sleep.
Confessional: Cocoa Cookie
Cocoa Cookie was nervously sipping on her cup of cocoa.
"I barely slept at all last night, thinking about the situation we were in. I can't stop thinking about it."
"The thought of my home kingdom seeing me on the news makes me scared."
"And the thought of dying in here is even worse!"
Jude, Tuff, and Nikolai were waiting for Dahlia to arrive at the bathroom. She eventually comes.
"Hey there." Dahlia greeted, coming over to the bathroom.
"Alright, let's make this quick and easy like pie." Nikolai told her. "What do you want?"
"I want to form an alliance with you guys. We can all make it into the final four together." Dahlia explained. "We need a strategy to make sure we make it out alive and find the Life Idol."
"You had me at the Life Idol. I'm in!" Jude said.
"Me too!" Nikolai chuckled.
"Hmm…I'm in." Tuff said.
Confessional: Dahlia
"These fools will never know that I plan to drop them like files."
"I mean, flies. You can only drop files by dropping them into the shredder."
One by one, the characters made their way into the cafeteria, expressions ranging from anxiety to misery to even sleep deprivation. Dopey Doves' members arrived first.
"Man, what a night," Jim said.
"You said it." Steve sighed. "I hope breakfast is good."
"I don't know if I want to eat breakfast anymore…" Caitlin told him.
The team lined up and went to the serving window, grabbing their trays and receiving breakfast from the chef.
"Today's breakfast is blueberry pancakes with chicken sausage," Teruteru explained. "Made by the one and only."
"Oh boy, food!" Chowder exclaimed, rushing over to grab a plate and get the food.
"B-blueberry pancakes?! Is t-that all y-you got?" Toko shouted.
"I can fix you some bacon if you want." Teruteru nodding.
"Sure…" Toko said.
"I'll have the bacon along with it. Breakfast gives you energy." Tony said.
"Oh, really?" Candy asked him.
"Yep. My mother made good breakfast when I was growing up." Tony explained.
"I would rather cook pizza and eat that." Pizza Cookie said. "Hey Teruteru, can you make pizza?"
"Oh, I will cook any dish in the world." Teruteru said.
Soon, the Running Roosters team also came to the place. They all grabbed their trays and went to the serving window.
"Hey Teruteru, what's for breakfast?" Lucy asked him.
"Blueberry pancakes and chicken sausage." He answered.
"That's not too bad." Komaru nodded.
"At least it's better than nothing." Natalya said.
"I hope Starkweather is still joking about this…let's find out soon after the first challenge though." Cosmi said.
Suddenly, their fears came back. The thoughts of being executed makes them uncomfortable and scared.
"Please don't talk about it, Cosmi." Jude said. "You are going to make people uncomfortable."
"Yeah, I don't know if I want to eat breakfast now." Steve said.
"Same, Steve. I just feel sick about the thought now." Candy said, shivering.
"Thanks Cosmi. You ruined the mood." SpongeBob said. "You made them feel fear now."
Cosmi didn't say anything but dropped his tray and ran off to the bathroom to cry.
Confessional: Cosmi
"Why do I keep messing everything up?! Man, I need to be cool and chill to everyone. That is my current plan."
"Anyways…" Dahlia said. "So what are our plans if you escape?"
"Dahlia! Stop, you are going to make things WORSE!" Darwin yelled.
"I don't care. I just want to see you guys suffer." Dahlia told everyone.
"Oh my god, shut up Dahlia." Mint Choco Cookie told her.
"Shut up?! I hope you die first, dumbass!" Dahlia said.
"Hey, stop cussing at my husband like that!" Cocoa Cookie said angrily. "He's an amazing guy."
"EVERYONE, STOP!" Jody yelled at everyone. "All of this arguing is not making things better. We have to work together so we can figure out a way to contact someone to get help."
"If we can." Tiff told her.
Confessional: Jody
"I personally see Dahlia as a major threat. We need to get rid of her."
After that, they slowly start to talk.
"And then a big wave came by, washing everyone!" SpongeBob said.
"Wow. Your stories are amazing," Darwin said.
"Thank you so much for listening to them." SpongeBob smiled.
Natalya was eating her food, listening to everyone else who was slowly starting to chat. She isn't the most social person due to being a KGB Agent.
Confessional: Natalya
"I have a plan: I will try to make a few friends to last for a while. I need to find the Life Idol so I can spare them from execution."
"Aw snap, I don't know what is going to happen at the first challenge," Jim said. "For all I know, we could be fighting to the death!"
"Don't be ridiculous." Roger Rabbit as he took a bite of the orange pancakes.
"Why should I?" Jim said. "Unless I find a Life Idol, I'm screwed if I get eliminated for good!"
"Don't be," Cindy told him. "It's better to accept fate if you end up dying."
"I have a life to live for!" Jim exclaimed. "My life is already shit and now this is going to make things great!"
"Calm down, Jim," Cindy said to him. "We need to keep the environment nice."
Eventually, all of the characters were sitting at the tables. Instructions ranged from serious discussions to half-hearted jokes to discussing their worlds. The only character not involved in this is Cash, who is still sleeping his butt up as much as he can since he isn't in the mood to talk to anyone anyways.
After a while, the Mess Hall doors flew open and Starkweather walked in, his grin meeting the characters' sunken faces. The mood plummeted down as their conversations died down and everyone's anxiety, misery, or fear was brought back.
"Good morning, everybody!" Starkweather chirped. "How's breakfast?"
"It was good!" Chowder exclaimed. "It was the most delicious breakfast I have had!"
"Glad you enjoyed the breakfast, Chowder. Anyone else?"
"Meh. It could be better." Wyatt shrugged. "I just want a cup of coffee."
"Well, Teruteru could do it. He makes the best coffee." Starkweather smirked.
"Get it on with the talk," Caitlin spoke up. "You're here to announce the first challenge, aren't you?"
"Yes! I am here to announce your very first challenge. But it won't be taking place here. Everyone, please wrap up your breakfast, bring your swimsuits, and meet me at the beach in two hours." Starkweather smirked.
He promptly exited the area, leaving confusion among the characters.
"Our swimsuits?" Cosmi said.
"He's lucky that I wear my bikini every day." Candy sighed.
Everybody continued to exchange worried observations and questions about the challenge, all while consuming their breakfast. Once their breakfast was finished, they embarked back to their team's cabins to kill time before the first challenge.
Two hours after that, Starkweather watched as both teams arrived at the beach, clad in a diverse array of swimsuits, with the exception of Candy, who was still wearing her casual bikini outfit.
"I see that everyone made sure to pack well," Starkweather claimed. "After all, swimming is one of the most popular things to do in the summer."
"Probably a better summer than this shit," Natalya replied.
"You said it." Jim giggled.
"Good one!" Tuff laughed.
"You can all clearly see the buoys, right?" Starkweather asked everyone.
"Sureeee…." Catalina said.
They all took a look at the water and saw a line of buoys forming a semi-circle, starting at the beach and extending out hundreds of feet.
"Today's challenge is about swimming! Each team must swim out into this water," Starkweather informed them all. "And dive down to the floor in search of chests."
"Searching for chests? That sounds so easy." Jude asked.
"Not quite. Upon retrieving your chest and returning it to the beach, you will have to solve the puzzle required to open it. However, there is one thing that you need to get to start the next challenge: the box that holds the equipment for the hot tub. The first team that gathers all of their chests and the box and solves them or solves the puzzle for the box wins part one of the challenge. Inside of those chests can vary in rewards, from individual immunity when your team loses to food items such as candy to even advantages that will help you in the game to like a clue for the Life Idol for example."
"But you won't look inside just yet. Keep your chest closed until your teammates grab all of their chests and the box and solve them or when the time is up."
"Time limit? How much do we have?" Robina asked him.
"45 minutes," Starkweather answered.
"45 minutes? How are we going to get up for air after a while of swimming?" Jude asked as well.
"Don't worry, you have these snorkeling masks!" Starkweather admitted, as he pulled out a bag of snorkeling masks and threw them to everyone. Some of the contestants stared in disbelief.
"Plastic cheap snorkels." Nikolai sighed.
"And oh, the chests are colored. Running Roasters' chest is white while Dopey Doves' chest is purple." Starkweather said.
"What if none of us want to do this?" Natalya chimed in.
"Well, if you don't want to participate, then Ramirez will be willing to fire some warning shots from the trees or receive a straight warning," Starkweather told her.
"Well, then. We have to try our best to win, right?" SpongeBob asked his team.
"Yes. After all, our teammates better be good at swimming in the water!" Mint Coco Cookie said.
"And don't think about swimming away as well. We have surveillance and several interns on jet skis waiting to catch you. Then, you'll receive a warning if you do try it." Starkweather explained.
"So much for that plan." Candy snorted.
"Are there any more questions before we begin?" Starkweather asked everyone.
Everyone had nothing to say. They were ready to do the challenge.
"Alright, then. Let's take the challenge…BEGIN!" Starkweather said, firing a shot with th
Once the last word was said, all 28 characters plucked a snorkeling mask, slipping it on (and removing their glasses or hats if they had to) before scrambling out towards the lake. Their footsteps crashed through the waves as they ran out into the area of water, before spreading out and swimming to different parts of the circle.
All except for a few people - Cosmi and Toko.
"What's the hold up? The water doesn't kill you." Starkweather called out.
"We're just testing the water." Cosmi chuckled nervously.
Confessional: Toko
"So here's the problem: I somewhat can't swim. Not even with Aoi's help."
Confessional: Cosmi
"I'm scared of the water. After the incident I had, I don't know if I want to swim. So my plan is to get someone to bring a chest for me."
Cosmi and Toko took a deep breath and Toko decided to swim. At least she can try to be useful and helpful. As for Cosmi, he got in the water, but just stayed there.
"At least you got in the water," Starkweather groaned. "But I better see you move soon. Or you will get a warning."
Out in the water, the challenge officially begins. Caitlin has picked a spot close to the beach so she can spend less time diving and to get her team colored chest. Diving into the water, she begins looking down for any amount of chest or the box. She wasn't aware that she bumped into Wyatt.
"Ow!" Wyatt exclaimed.
"Oh, I'm so sorry, Wyatt!" Caitlin apologized.
"It's okay." Wyatt said.
Suddenly, a splash of water hits them as it is revealed to be Roger Rabbit splashing water at them.
"I'm doing this so you can get distracted!" Roger Rabbit giggled.
Further out in the water, Candy went deep into the beautiful ocean and began to search for the purple chest. After about 30 seconds, she found a chest that was purple. Smiling, she swam over to grab it, only for a crab to appear out of nowhere. Panicking, she begins to swim away to avoid being pinched.
After she was away, Catalina went over to the area and grabbed a chest. The criminal was paddling across the lake's surface, making her way back to the beach.
"And Catalina is the first person in Dopey Doves to return with a chest." Starkweather called out, smiling at her performance.
"Already?!" Dahlia asked incredulously.
"It's not even that long!" Tuff gazed at Catalina, who was already at the beach, fiddling at the lock.
"Oh shut up!" Catalina yelled at them. She begins to work on the lock and was struggling with the puzzle. "Who makes slide puzzles these days?!
Confessional: Catalina
"As a criminal, they have to learn to swim so they can get away with it or drive a boat. I am excellent at both."
"However, I suck at puzzles."
Back in the lake, Candy got away from the crab and went up the surface to take a breather. Just then, Steve came up to her, looking tired. He isn't wearing his sunglasses so he can see in the water. His eyes are blue.
"Steve…I haven't seen you without your sunglasses." Candy gasped.
"Oh thanks. I don't wear sunglasses when I'm swimming. Because I have to dry them up," Steve explained.
"Alright, that explains it." Candy smiled.
Just then, Lucy grabbed the first white chest after being in the water. She swam to the beach and began working on the puzzle.
"Looks like Lucy has grabbed the first chest for the Running Roosters!" Starkweather called out again.
"So what's the plan, Dahlia?" Nikolai asked her.
"We all find the box first. And then we let the team solve it while we find our chests." Dahlia explained the plan.
"That's not too bad." Tuff chuckled.
"Let's go!" Jude said.
While the four of them are swimming further away, the scene cuts back to Candy, who has swam back to search for a chest. She managed to find a purple chest and grabbed it before swimming back to the beach. She's unaware that a crab followed her and it snapped her bikini, revealing her breasts.
Candy noticed something was wrong and she realized that a crab had got her bikini top. Screaming, she covered her breasts and chased after it.
"Hey! Get back here!" Candy yelled, swimming to the crab and grabbing it. "There. But now I have to deal with this."
"Oh THAT will get so many views!" Starkweather smirked.
Candy groaned as she swam to the beach and attempted to cover herself up. It fell off and shrugging, she began working on the puzzle.
Meanwhile, Nikolai, Tuff, Jude, and Dahlia reached the further they could go and they spotted the box of supplies for the hot tub, which was very deep and was guarded by an army of sharks and pufferfish. Luckily, the box was covered in a net, so it would make it easier for up to five people to grab it.
"There it is!" Nikolai exclaimed.
"How are we going to get it?" Jude asked them.
"You three will handle it. I can't do it because my strength wouldn't be enough." Dahlia said.
"Alright, let's do it!" Tuff exclaimed.
The three men went underwater while Dahlia chuckled evilly.
"Haha. Suckers." Dahlia smirked evilly as she swam away.
Meanwhile, Cosmi was swimming very slowly and stopping so he wouldn't get a warning. Suddenly, Jody came up to him.
"What are you doing?" Jody asked him.
"I'm not doing nothing…yeah, I'm actually doing something!" Cosmi laughed nervously.
"That must suck to you." Jody sighed, as she was already holding her colored chest.
"How did you found it?" Cosmi asked nervously.
"Underwater, Cosmi. Better go underwater or you will be targeted for elimination if we lose." Jody sighed again, while swimming away.
He gulped as he looked at the water and…
"I CAN'T DO IT!" Cosmi screamed, as he swam back to the beach.
"Cosmi…I would have given you a warning, but you did try. Now go sit over there until the challenge is over." Starkweather said to Cosmi.
Cosmi sobbed as he went over to a spot that was close to the forest and sat. He then began watching.
"Go team…"
Dahlia watched the entire thing and noticed that he seemed weak. Smirking, she has a plan.
Confessional: Dahlia
"I actually have a plan for Cosmi. However, if I have to spare him from elimination, I need to get rid of Jody."
Back at the lake, SpongeBob was gliding through the water. Thanks to Larry's swim training, he managed to swim well. He ends up spotting the big box containing the supplies. Gasping, he called out his team.
"Guys, I found the big box!" SpongeBob called out to everyone. "I need volunteers!"
"I'll help you." Cash said, while holding his purple chest. "However, I need to put my chest down."
"Got it!" SpongeBob smiled, giving a thumbs up towards him.
Cash and Robina swam over to the beach and dropped off their chest.
"Can you solve my chest for me?" Cash asked her.
"Um…sure." Robina blushed.
Confessional: Robina
"Cash is very strong. Even though he killed people in the past, I still think he can be redeemed."
Confessional: Cash
"Robina is a very kind person…I…oh, what am I doing here?!"
Cash got up and left the confessional.
Cocoa Cookie is literally having trouble finding a chest due to her drowsiness. Her weary body was also having a harder time propelling through the water than normal. She swam through the water near one side of the enclosed circle of buoys, making sure not to tread past the line. She wasn't having any luck finding a chest. One shape caught her eye and she picked it up and went back to the surface, only to find out it was a rock.
"Aw, darn." Cocoa Cookie moaned, before putting the rock down back in the lake. "Go free, rocky."
She glanced over to the beach. By the time this happens, four people are trying to open their chests - Catalina, Candy, Robina, and Lucy. Just then, three more people - Cindy, Pizza Cookie, and Jim - were making their way to the beach with their own chests. She sighed in her disappointment over her performance.
"I see you are having trouble, honey."
Cocoa Cookie turned around to see her husband, Mint Choco Cookie. He was holding a chest as well.
"I have never been so tired before in all my life. Not even a cup of hot chocolate really helped me."
"Well, I can help you find one for you, really quick." Mint Choco Cookie said to her.
"Really, thank you." Cocoa Cookie responded in happiness.
"You're welcome." Mint Choco Cookie smiled back. He began swimming and going underwater. After a few minutes, he came back with another white chest.
"You found one!" Cocoa Cookie clapped, splashing some water at him.
"It's my job to make you happy." Mint Choco Cookie blushed.
Confessional: Cocoa Cookie
"I wished I grabbed some coffee packets when we were eating breakfast. It would be very helpful…"
"Out of my way!" Steve yelled. "I got a treasure to encounter!"
Steve was swimming towards the couple, letting them move. Despite his appearance, he managed to find a purple chest.
"That's amazing! We have 6 chests found from Dopey Doves and 4 from Running Roosters." Starkweather called out.
"Found one!" Dahlia smirked, holding a chest.
"Make those 5 chests for Running Roasters." Starkweather said.
Meanwhile, SpongeBob and Cash went underwater and found out it's blocked by an army of crabs. The two managed to grab the net and began to pull.
"We need more people!" SpongeBob called out.
"Has anyone seen Toko?" Starkweather asked.
"R-right here." Toko groaned. "I can help with them-"
Suddenly, she ends up sneezing, turning into her split personality, Genocide Syo.
"Hahahhahaha! What's going on?" Genocide Syo asked.
"Come help us, dammit!" Cash yelled.
"Cominggggggg!" Genocide Syo said as she swam over them and used her scissors to cut the crabs and scare them. This allows Cash, SpongeBob, and Pizza Cookie, who came over to help them, to pull the box. After about three minutes of pulling, they finally got the box over.
"We did it!" SpongeBob exclaimed in happiness.
"Dopey Doves have found their box! You are welcome to continue searching for your chest, but now, the countdown to win begins." Starkweather said.
"What?!" Tuff said in shock. "Dahlia, help us!"
"Quiet, I will help you once I solve the puzzle." Dahlia said back.
"Well, if she can't help, I'm leaving." Nikolai said, swimming away to find his chest.
"Same, dude." Jude sighed, as he went underwater, only to find a white chest right away. He grabbed it and smiled. "Woo hoo!"
"Uhm, guys?" Tuff said nervously, pulling at the net.
Dahlia managed to finally solve her chest and said, "Done!"
"That is amazing! If Jim didn't beat you to it." Starkweather said.
"What?! I was so close!" Dahlia screamed.
"Instead of screaming, can you please help Tuff?" Jude asked her, coming up to the beach.
"Oh yeah." Dahlia sighed, as she walked back to the water.
Genocide Syo ends up solving her chest after she found it eariler, along with Candy and Lucy. They all said that they had completed the challenge.
"I forgot to mention that there's three locks on the box! In order to win, you need to solve all three locks." Starkweather said.
"Jim, we need your help!" SpongeBob said to him.
"Why?" Jim asked him.
"I mean, you might be good at puzzles." Cash shrugged.
"Sure, I can help." Jim smiled.
Jim went over to the big box and began solving the puzzle. While he does that, Mint Choco Cookie ends up solving his puzzle before helping Cocoa Cookie with hers, allowing her to finish as well.
Just then, Steve slipped one square on his slide puzzle to the side, before hearing a click. He looked over to Starkweather. "I'm done."
"Good. Keep your chest closed and wait for your team." Starkweather replied, not even facing him. "You guys have 15 minutes left to unlock the chests or unlock the box."
Back over at the water, Tiff and Tuff finally got their chests (Dahlia was handing the box herself) and went back to the beach.
"There we go. It's done." Tiff smiled.
"Good. Because you have 7 minutes left!" Starkweather called out.
At that moment, Wyatt, Caitlin, Chowder, and Darwin came back with their chests. Realizing that Dahlia is struggling to get the box, Natalya and Komaru come over to her.
"Looks like you need some help." Natalya said.
"Yeah…" Dahlia said.
Suddenly, all three of them managed to grab the net and pull it over to the beach, only taking 2 minutes to get it done. By the time they got it done, those who found their chests had all solved theirs. The only people that didn't get a chest are Natalya, Komaru, SpongeBob, Nikolai, Tony, Roger Rabbit, and Dahlia.
"Wait, what about Cosmi?" Natalya asked, watching him make a sandcastle.
"Turns out he doesn't want to do the challenge due to his…fear." Starkweather chuckled.
Just then, Tony finally got a chest and just arrived.
"Finally! I got that fucking chest." Tony smirked.
"Good, cause you only have 3 minutes left!" Starkweather called out.
"Huh? Oh shit!" Tony cussed, rushing over to solve the puzzle as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, Jim was almost done solving the final puzzle while the Running Roosters had only solved one puzzle lock.
"Come on, guys!" Dahlia yelled.
"Well, we could have won this challenge if you helped!" Tuff yelled back.
"Silent, Tuff." Dahlia said.
Nikolai comes back with a chest, but then he realizes that he only has a minute left to solve the puzzle.
"Ah, fuck it." Nikolai sighed, as he began working on the puzzle.
"Only 50 seconds left! Who's going to win? It is-'' Starkweather started to say.
"Done!" Jim yelled, smiling.
"So am I. What a long ass challenge." Tony sighed.
"With that, game over! Dopey Doves has won the first part of the challenge!" Starkweather yelled.
Dopey Doves' members cheered in happiness, while the Running Roosters groaned in frustration.
"Now that the challenge is over, I would like everyone to open their chests before we move on to the second part of the challenge."
"So am I too late?" Nikolai asked, with his puzzle almost completed.
"Yes, but since you are almost done, I'll allow you to finish." Starkweather said.
Nikolai slides the last piece of the puzzle before unlocking the chest.
The character who'd unlocked their chest pried the lids open. Each one had a different item inside of it - on the chance it had anything at all.
"I got a whole chest full of candy, chocolate, and soda!" Tiff exclaimed. "Woo hoo! This will last me for a while."
"I got the same thing, except it's just filled with sweet and sour candy with cans of Coca-Cola." Candy sighed, as she looked at the chest. "Wait, what's this?"
Candy picked up something, revealing it to be a piece of paper. It said, "The Life Idol is hidden somewhere in the forest. Either trees, bushes, or caves."
"It's a clue to the Life Idol!" Candy exclaimed. "I won't be revealing what is said."
"Candy has found the clue to the Life Idol," Starkweather said.
"Ooh, a piece of paper." Pizza Cookie pulled out. "Wait, a pizza party with beer (or soda if you are under 21 or don't like beer) for two at the Mess Hall. Sweet!"
"A fun-sized chocolate bar and water," Catalina said, rolling her eyes. "Great."
"I got some toilet paper!" Tuff said. "I got like 5 rolls of it too."
"Nice. That would be helpful when we use the toilet." Catalina said.
"Yeah!" Tuff exclaimed. He also found out that there is a piece of paper in the chest, revealing it to be a clue to the Life Idol. He decided to not disclose this to avoid a disadvantage.
"I got a notebook and some pencils," Robina said as she pulled out a notebook and pencils. "At least it would be useful for writing."
"Sweet! Some new clothes!" Jude exclaimed.
Lucy opened her chest, only to find nothing.
"Aw man." Lucy cried in frustration.
"Turns out, I couldn't fit everything in all of the chests." Starkweather laughed.
"Cereal?" Darwin pulled out three boxes of cereal. "All we need is milk."
"Don't worry. Teruteru has some in the Mess Hall."
"Pancake mix?" Cash growled. "What the fuck am I going to do with pancake mix?"
"I don't know, but at least you can make some pancakes around here." Starkweather shrugged.
"A fucking sock monkey?!" Tony yelled as he pulled out a sock monkey. "I worked my ass off in this challenge and barely made it, only to get this shit?!"
"Better than nothing." Starkweather said.
Tony growled and ripped the sock monkey off with his bare hands.
Confessional: Tony
"Fuck this challenge! Why can't I get something nice, like a bottle of wine or whiskey?!"
Caitlin opened her chest, containing some makeup, new clothes, a piece of paper, and a small figurine made of a wood that was yellow and was a sun.
"Oh…" Caitlin gasped. "What is this?"
She was holding a piece of paper. It was a clue to the second Life Idol.
"Well, look at that! Caitlin got super lucky by not only finding individual immunity, but a clue to the second Life Idol!" Starkweather exclaimed.
"Yayyyy!" Caitlin cheered.
Wyatt opened his chest and saw that it's filled with bags of coffee, each from a different country.
"Awesome!" Wyatt smiled.
Steve opened his chest, to find a suitcase of sodas.
"What is this?" Steve asked Starkweather.
"A collection of sodas from Civil Suit Soda. Different flavors such as banana soda." Starkweather replied.
"Can I trade this away?" Steve said.
"Sure." Starkweather shrugged. "It's yours, so I don't give a fuck."
Steve comes up to Candy as he gives her the suitcase of sodas.
"Um…thanks Steve." Candy said.
"You're welcome." Steve smiled.
Jody opened their chests, only to find nothing.
"Well, fuck." Jody sighed in disappointment. "Worked hard for nothing."
Mint Coco Cookie and Cocoa Cookie opened their chest together.
"What's this?" Cocoa Cookie wondered. "A supply of hot chocolate? Yes!"
"Wow. Some sports balls." Nikolai rolled her eyes. "Great."
"And finally, I got a basket full of bathing supplies if anyone wants some." Mint Coco Cookie told everyone.
Dahlia opens up the chest, revealing to be another statuette with a sun on it. Also, a piece of paper containing a clue to another idol.
"Whoa. What's this?" Dahlia grabbed the item and held it.
"Dahlia had immunity! Also, she found a clue to the Replacement Idol."
"What is that?" Jim asked, while opening his chest. He got popcorn, a bag of chips, and a book called "101 Things You Need to Know about Japan".
"The Replacement Idol is an idol that is a wooden version of a shattered heart. Whoever finds it and uses it can be spared from elimination and the person with the second most-received votes will get eliminated instead." Starkweather explained.
"Interesting." Dahlia said.
Genocide Syo ends up sneezing, turning back to Toko. She then realized what happened and ran off.
Confessional: Toko
"Okay, so I have DID, or Dissociative Identity Disorder. My personality was Genocide Syo. I don't want to admit to them about my past."
"So Toko's chest is free now?" SpongeBob asked.
"I guess so. Since she didn't open it at all." Starkweather shrugged.
"Okay." SpongeBob said, taking the chest and opening it. It contains a book that is similar to Jim's, but it's about camping. "Neat!"
That leaves Chowder and Cindy left to open theirs. Chowder opens his, which contains chips and a can of soda.
"Niceeeee!" Chowder exclaimed. "I got food!"
And finally, Cindy opens hers. It contains the same wooden sun.
"Wow. Whoever made this did a great job!" Cindy exclaimed.
"Within that, everybody had opened their chests. Caitlin, Dahlia, and Cindy, all three of you have immunity so when your team loses for the first time, you won't be voted off."
"Wonderful."
"Alright, guys. You will have a lunch break before the second part begins. But for now, enjoy your rewards!" Starkweather told everyone. "And Running Roosters, since you failed to unlock the box, you get a major disadvantage."
"Thanks a lot, Dahlia." Lucy cried out.
"Not my problem." Dahlia chuckled. "Since I got immunity, you can't do anything."
"Let's go now. It's lunch time!" Teruteru came out. "I made some grilled cheese sandwiches!"
The characters rose to their feet and ran to the Mess Hall, those with rewards holding onto them as a prize for their efforts.
Starkweather and the contestants had all left the beach when somebody emerged from the water, walking on dry land for the first time since the challenge had started.
"Guys, I found a chest!" Roger Rabbit announced, removing his snorkeling mask. "I had to look super far out there, but I - wait a minute, where is everybody?"
Roger Rabbit glanced around the beach, seeing absolutely nobody. Reality eventually set in as he saw the discarded chests.
"Aw man." He groaned, letting his own chest fall to the sand. He slowly walked off the beach and to the trail, where he was minutes behind everyone else.
Confessional: Roger Rabbit
"Well, this is disappointing. At least my team won the first part of the challenge."
The characters ate lunch silently, worried about what the second part of the challenge would be. Lunch was grilled cheese sandwiches with orange juice. It was surprisingly delicious.
"These sandwiches are delicious," Natalya said. "What did you use?"
"Just the usual cheese that melts into your mouth," Teruteru explained. "Then, I added butter to the bread and cooked it just like that."
"Well, it is delicious," Chowder said.
"I have to admit, you are a great cook." Candy complimented him.
"Aw, how sweet of you."
"Alright, campers. Finish your lunch and meet me at the cabin area in 10 minutes." Starweather said over the loudspeaker.
The characters finished their food and left the mess hall to go to the cabin area, where Starkweather is. In the area, there are two crates behind him. The same crates from before.
"Welcome to your second part of the challenge. Today, you will be building a hot tub. Whoever builds the best hot tub wins as this challenge will test your creativity." Starkweather explained.
"And about the disadvantages…?" Cosmi asked him.
"Oh yeah. Well, you have to make the hot tub super perfect in order to win. That means it must NOT be broken, unless you want a one way ticket to the afterlife." Starkweather said.
The Running Roosters team groaned in frustration as they give major looks at Dahlia and Cosmi.
"Alright. Chop chop! We don't have all day!" Starkweather said. "My boss wants this episode finished by midnight."
Both teams end up breaking the crates to open them. Jody discovers that there was a loose piece of paper and tears it up into pieces.
"I'm sorry, but paper isn't going to solve our problems." Jody said. "I need to lead my team."
SpongeBob grabs a piece of paper, which is instructions for building a hot tub.
"I found the instructions!" SpongeBob called out his team.
"Perfect! Let's get to work!" Candy said happily.
"Huh?!" Mint Choco Cookie said in shock. "Where is the paper?!"
Confessional: Jody
"Dammit."
"Sorry guys. I destroyed it." Jody said. "But it doesn't matter. Come on, let's build-"
Jody looks around and sees that her team is a mess. Mint Choco Cookie and Cocoa Cookie were kissing, Cosmi was pulling pranks at Nikolai and Komaru, Natalya was punching Dahlia, Tuff and Jude were chatting, laughing at the jokes, and Wyatt was drinking a cup of coffee.
"God dammit!" Jody screamed.
"I guess there's nothing we can do at the moment but wait for elimination." Cindy sighed.
"Agreed." Darwin said.
Meanwhile, Dopey Doves was building the hot tub well. SpongeBob was gathering the water by his sponge abilities, Jim was reading the instructions, Candy was waiting to get in the hot tub, Tiff, Chowder, and Steve were setting up the hot tub layers, Toko, Caitlin, and Pizza Cookie were setting up the heating system, Tony was watching to make sure nobody sabotage them, and Roger Rabbit and Catalina are supplying the builders the right materials.
Jim: Catalina, we need two decameters of plywood.
Catalina: Got it.
Candy: Should we add some rainbow colors on the hot tub by painting?
Tiff: Brilliant idea, Candy! Let's try it!
Chowder: Amazing. You really like rainbows, do you?
Tiff: Kirby likes rainbows more than me.
After about a few hours, Starkweather blows an air horn.
"Alright, time is up! You can all stop building!" Starkweather yelled. "Time to judge."
Starkweather came up to the Dopey Doves' hot tub. It was beautiful, with a control panel for three different features - bubbles, whirlpool, and normal. And just then, Candy jumped into the hot tub and it splashed on him.
"That's amazing! You get major and big points!" Starkweather clapped.
"Now how about the…"
Suddenly, he saw that there was a mess in the Running Roosters. They didn't do anything at all.
"What the FUCK am I looking at?!" Starkweather asked in anger.
"A hot tub?" Jody chuckled nervously.
"Well, actually. Our team is a mess…" Cindy sighed in sadness.
"Fuck all of you! You guys lost!" Starkweather screamed in anger. "Elimination for all of you."
"Great…" Darwin said.
"And the Dopey Doves won the challenge!" Starkweather said. "It was pretty obvious. As a reminder, Cindy and Dahlia can't be voted off due to immunity. So if you attempt to vote for them, your vote doesn't count and you may be subject to a revote. See everyone at the elimination ceremony." Starkweather explained as he got into his ATV and sped off.
"Well, everyone. Let's go to the Mess Hall and figure this out." Cindy said.
The entire Running Roosters team went to the Mess Hall and began to discuss the elimination.
"So who should we vote for?" Cosmi asked.
"It's between you or Jody." Komaru nodded. "You…didn't do the first part of the challenge."
"But why? Jody tore up the instructions!" Cosmi said. "She's the reason why we lost!"
Suddenly, all the gasps appeared from the team and they looked at Jody.
"You…you monster!" Dahlia screamed. "How could you?!"
"What?! I thought the paper was useless! I didn't know!" Jody said.
"Cosmi, looks like you won't be eliminated after all." Mint Choco Cookie smiled.
"Oh, thanks." Cosmi said.
"No matter what, we should choose carefully. Because someone will die tonight." Cindy said sadly.
The entire team's fears came back. One will not make it out alive.
"Well, we did it. We won." Tiff said hollowly.
"Why doesn't it feel like a victory though," Candy asked.
"Probably because somebody is going to die, no?" Jim said, raising his eyebrow.
"Well, it's better to spend your last days being surrounded by friends or lovers than surrounded by enemies." Pizza Cookie said as she sipped on water.
"Hey! I have no friends." Catalina screamed.
"That's because you are a criminal." SpongeBob said.

The entire Running Roosters team made their way to the elimination ceremony, extremely scared, nervous, or anxious about Starkweather's words from yesterday. A bird made noise and flew away as the walk was finally completed.
Starkweather and Ramirez stood in front of the team, as they took their seats on the log stumps. Meanwhile, the Dopey Doves team sat in the Peanut Gallery.
"Campers, welcome to our first ever Despair Island elimination ceremony. Tonight, one of you will be eliminated from the competition and life." Starkweather smiled.
"Cosmi, you didn't participate in the first part of the challenge due to your fear of swimming." Ramirez said.
"It's a long story, sir!" Cosmi complained.
"And Jody, you destroyed the instructions, causing your team's downfall." Ramirez continued, finishing the reasoning.
(Soundtrack 2)
"Now that Ramirez has explained the reasoning, it's time to vote." Starkweather chuckled. "Campers, please state the name of who you want to vote for."
(After voting…)
Everyone was nervous about what was to come.
"I tallied the votes and this is an interesting outcome," Starkweather said. "It's almost a unanimous vote, but it's not."
"Okay, can we get on with the elimination?" Catalina asked him. "We need sleep."
"Stop rushing me, but okay," Starkweather said. "As for the immunity items, they will change every elimination. For this elimination, I have 13 bags of candy. If you don't get one, you are out of the game and will end up being killed by my friend."
"The ones that are safe are with immunity from the challenge - Cindy and Dahlia."
Cindy and Dahlia grabbed the bag of candy, looking at their team with fear, except for Dahlia, who smiled.
"Now with those who have no votes…everyone except Cosmi and Jody." Starkweather said. "Come get your candy."
Suddenly, everyone had grabbed their bag of candy. There was only one left.
"This is the final one. Whoever gets it…will live for another day." Starkweather explained.
Cosmi gulped while Jody looked at the bag of candy.
"The last one goes to…

"What?!" Jody said in shock while Cosmi grabbed his bag of candy.
"Thank you, guys…" Cosmi said, now crying.
"You…all vote for me?!?!" Jody yelled at her team.
"Yes, except for you and Lucy." Starkweather explained.
"Sorry that this has to happen, Jody." Lucy said in sadness.
"This wasn't supposed to happen! What the FUCK!" Jody yelled, as she was dragged away from the cast. She was brought over to her execution.
"Jody. I declare your run in this competition…over." Starkweather told her. "Ramirez, kill her."
"What execution are you going to do with her?!" Lucy screamed. "What are you going to do with her?!"
"Don't worry, Lucy." Starkweather laughing evilly. "She won't feel a thing once I get done with her."
Lucy gasped as Ramirez came in with a shotgun. She aimed it at Jody, now scared.
"Burn in hell to all of you. I hope my team comes to arrest you two." Jody said, crying in anger.
"Oh, we…" Starkweather said. "Won't."
Ramirez pulled the trigger. And a BANG! was heard.
There was so much blood on the floor. Jody's head was burst open from the impact from the shotgun wound. She falls dead.
Everyone ends up panicking and screaming in different ways. Candy even ends up throwing up in the bushes as a result.
The only exception was Nikolai, who didn't react at all. And Dahlia, who smiled.
"Goodbye and good riddance." Dahlia chuckled happily.
"Jody has officially been eliminated. You are all free to go. Have a nice night and we all see you next week for the next challenge." Starkweather smirked evilly.
Starkweather and Ramirez left the elimination ceremony, leaving everyone to look at Jody's dead body.
Starkweather was not joking.
The killing game has officially begun.
One down.
Twenty-seven to go.
Starkweather gets a call from Mr. Nasty.
"Excellent start on the show, Starkweather." Mr. Nasty said. "It's not bad, but it's a head start."
"Thank you. Trust me, the elimination methods will vary by each elimination. Thanks to our intern John Kramer, we will get them done in no time." Starkweather said.
"Alright, I will edit the footage and get it finalized for tomorrow's release." Mr. Nasty told him. "Let me know if there's any problems throughout the show."
"Thank you." Starkweather smirked evilly, before hanging up the phone and beginning to laugh evilly.
Voting Confessionals:
"I don't want to vote for Jody. She's my friend and a police officer. I will vote for Cosmi." Lucy said.
"I don't want to die this early, so I'm going to eliminate Cosmi and hope everyone else follows," Jody said.
"This is scary. I don't want to vote, but Starkweather will punish me if I don't vote. So I will choose Jody. Sorry, you cost us the win." Darwin said,
"Goodbye, Jody. Burn in hell." Dahlia smiled.
"Going with the alliance and voting for Jody." Nikolai said.
"So I'm going with the majority and voting for Jody." Mint Choco Cookie said. "At least we all tried and Cosmi seems like he has a chance to survive."
"Coffee…sooo good…um, I vote for Jody." Wyatt said, sipping his coffee.
"Dude, as much as the little blue alien didn't swim at the first part of the challenge, Jody screwed any little hope we had for winning." Jude said. "So my vote goes to her."
"Just like my husband's, I'm voting for Jody." Cocoa Cookie said, sipping on hot chocolate.
"So…where do I begin…I can't vote for Dahlia since she's immune. So I'm voting for Jody." Natalya sighed.
"Why didn't the author barely give me lines or focus…anyways, I vote for Jody." Komaru said.
"Well, I'm safe! For now…sorry Jody. Hope we do a memorial for you." Cosmi said.
"Well, this sucks! I can't vote for Dahlia, so I got to go with the majority and eliminate Jody." Tuff said.
"Well, we got to vote for Jody." Cindy said. "Sorry…"

So yep, we had our first elimination! To those who liked her, I'm sorry. Cosmi was originally going to be the first boot, but I decided to change that. Who knows what will happen to him?
