When the explosion cleared, Cagney had changed shape once more. Before, his face had made him look like a lion, now he was a lion, a three headed lion! He gave a loud roar as he lunged.
Digital held up both hands and formed a barrier of light that looked like the yin-yang logo. Cagney slammed into the barrier and it shattered! "Woah!" Digital was knocked to the ground and gave a loud scream of pain as Cagney bit down on her right shoulder. Endbringer flapped her wings and flew towards the combatants. "Access: Defiant!" She held up her right hand and a green spear appeared above it, the spear's head was shaped like a dragon's maw. She grabbed it and hurled the spear at Cagney. His right head snapped around, grabbing the spear before it could pierce his side. Endbringer snapped her fingers and the spear released a pulse of bright blue lightning that made Cagney howl with pain, he stumbled back off Digital. The Kamen Rider summoned her staff and fired a bright green fox spirit, it shifted into a blade of wind that threw Cangey into the air with flecks of green blood coming from him.
Digital spun her staff and fired a beam of bright yellow light with a pure white core from it. Cagney ran to the side, the beam hit the ground where he had just been standing and Digital followed him with the beam but he was able to stay ahead before leaping at the Kamen Rider. "Access: Cask!" Endbringer held out her right hand and a cylinder shaped grandage appeared. She threw it at the ground between her sister and the plant lion before it exploded, spewing smoke everywhere. Cagney landed where Digital should have been but there was no one there! Digital slammed a right hook into Cagney's left head, her fist was surrounded by a flaming aura in the shape of a fox head that bit down on Canget's head. He spun around, dragging Digital with him before she was forced to let go and was sent spinning off!
Digital bounced across the ground and slammed into a large sunflower. Cagney's right head took aim and fired a beam of bright yellow solar light. It washed over Digital, causing her a large amount of pain. Digital crossed her arms and threw them to the sides, forming a bright blue fox spirit. The spirit turned into a sphere of water, surrounding the Kamen Rider, the water absorbed the light and spat it out behind Digital, shielding her. "Access: Clay!" Endbringer dropped down from the sky and swung the angelic crossbow down, the blades on its wings cut into him. Cagney flinched back before swinging his right paw at Endbringer. The ground rose up forming a wall between Endbringer and the claw, which slashed into the wall, slicing five lines into it but was unable to get through. Endbringer pointed at the wall and clenched her right hand into a fist.
The wall shattered into many bricks that shot at Cagney like missiles. He countered by spitting acorns from his right mouth that slammed into the bricks and exploded, destroying them. But Digital gathered the water from her barrier in front of herself by cupping her hands. She thrust her hands forwards and the orb water shot forwards, it expanded around Cagney and started spinning like a whirlpool. Cagney was pulled off of his paws and started to get pulled closer and closer to the center of the sphere. "Access: Erik!" She threw her right hand forwards and the top of a tank appeared on the outside of it with the barrel being parallel to her arm. Endbringer's wings stabbed into the ground, bracing her as she took aim and fired! The green shell shot through the air and into the center of the whirlpool, it detonated and destroyed the sphere, sending Cagney flying into a tree.
Cangey got back up and charged at Endbringer. Digital grabbed her driver with both hands. "Takato translation!" The driver's light changed to the hazard setting. "Slide henshin!" She shifted into the hazard translation.
Digital crossed her arms in front of her breastplate as the triangles lit up with toxic red light before uncrossing her arms and firing an energy beam. It screamed across Cagney's side as he ran through it, Cagney screamed as his left front leg buckled and he fell to the ground. Cagney got back up and his left head turned towards Digital, he howled, firing a horizontal cyclone of leaves at Digital. "Hazard mod: Speed!" From Digital point of view, everything slowed down her as she sped up, she rolled to the side and the cyclone zipped past her on the right. Cagney's middle and right head each fired a beam of sunlight at Endbringer. "Access: Dodge!" Digital spun her hands in a circle in front of her, forming a barrier of bright silver energy. The beams hit the barrier and were absorbed, the barrier took on the color of the beams and spat them back out in the direction they came from.
Cagney's eyes widened as he leapt over the beam and came down, slashing Endbringer with his right claw. Endbringer shouted in pain as sparks exploded from the five lines that had been cut into her front. All three of Cagney's heads lunged forwards, aiming to bite the Kamen Rider. Endbringer flapped her wings, lifting herself off the ground and sending her shooting back, Cagney''s mouths snapped just where she had just been standing and Digital came running forwards with her right arm cocked back. She threw a punch at Cagney's left head, but the head dodged down and the middle head bit down on her lower arm. "Hey!" Digital was jerked off her feed and slammed into the ground before being pulled up and slammed down again. She pointed her free arm at the head that was holding her. "Hazard mod: Drill!" Her hand transformed into a drill and she drove it into the dog's jaw.
Sparks flew and Cagney tried to bite down harder on Digital's arm. "Access: Armsmaster!" Endbringer held up her left hand and a halberd appeared. She flapped her wings and shot forwards. Her future sight triggered: Cagney would try to bite her with his left head, she would fly under it and the middle head would swing Digital into her. Coming out of the vision, Endbringer flew under the bite but then twisted, causing Cagney to miss as he tried to hit her with her sister. The halberd's metal blade dematerialized, revealing a plasma blade; she slashed up, cutting into the middle head, forcing him to release Digital's arm. Endbringer flew over the middle head, dragging her halberd through her opponent's back. Cagney snarled as he rose up on its back paws before slamming his front paws into the ground. Roots exploded from the ground under Endbringer and wrapped around her, wrenching her halberd from her grip before they started to crush her.
"SIS!" Digital coated both hands in pure white fire before spinning them, firing two blades of pure white fire that spiraled around each other. They washed over her sister, incinerating the roots but leaving Endbringer unharmed. Cagney spun around and fired a barrage of logs from her middle mouth. "Are you kidding me!?" Digital crossed her arms and a sphere of white lightning formed in the middle of the cross. The sphere expanded around her into a barrier, only for the logs to smash through it and into her. "Argh!" With a grunted of pain as she staggered back. "Right, I forgot that wood doesn't conduct lightning." Digital grumbled to herself. Cagney took a deep breath and from his middle mouth, he fired a massive log towards Digital. "Access: Bonesaw!" Endbringer jumped over Cagney, gave her wings a flap and threw a glass vial at the log.
It impacted the log and shattered into a green liquid. The log hissed as the, now revealed, acid rapidly melted through it. Digital slammed her tail against the ground, propelling herself forwards. "Hazard mod: Aero wings!" A pair of bright red bird wings grew from her shoulder blades. With a hard flap, Digital sent herself shooting forwards, she was in front of Cagney faster than he could blink and punched him in the chest. The plant lion was sent flying back and rolling along the ground before flipping back to his feet. His right head took a breath and roared, firing a horizontal cyclone of leaves at the two Kamen Riders. Digital landed on the ground and crossed her arms, a ring of toxic white light appeared in front of them and the cyclone slammed into them. Digital groaned as the force behind the cyclone drove her back, her feet digging groves into the ground.
"Access: Precipice!" Endbringer summoned a glass sphere to her right hand and threw it at the cyclone. The leaves sliced it open and smoke spilled out from inside it. The smoke was absorbed into the cyclone, gumming it up and causing it to lose shape.
Digital panted, lowering her hands, which had several cuts on them from leaves that had broken through her barrier. She gripped her driver with her left hand. "Rika translation!" The driver's light changed, now it displayed the vulpi setting. "Slide henshin!" Digital shifted into the vulpi translation.
She raised her staff and fired two fox spirts from it. The first was red while the second was blue. Cagney dodged to the side as the blue fox turned into a bolt of water, but was hit by the red fox, which turned into flames that spread over his body, making him howl in pain.
Endbringer drew the pirate driver. "Fifth endbringer translation!" The driver's light changed to the tentaclion setting. "Slide henshin!" She pointed the gun at Cagney and fired a sea blue bullet. He let loose a pulse of black light that put out the fire, just in time for the bullet to slam through his right shoulder. It returned to Endbringer and shifted into a sea blue armored figure that merged with her, transforming her into the tentaclion translation.
"Powers of the octopus!" The four mechanical tentacles burst from her backplate and she slammed them into the ground, sending herself shooting forwards. Cagney got back up, just in time to take a left hook from the right upper tentacle to the center face.
Endbringer brought both of her top tentacles up and slammed them down, only for Cagney to jump back, causing her to miss. He lunged forwards, grabbing the left tentacle with his middle and left mouths before jerking around, ripping the tentacle off! Digital leapt into the air as she was coated in a bright golden fire that gathered around her right boot. She came shooting down in a diving kick as the fire transformed into a fox head, it even howled like one! Cagney's left and middle heads pat out the tentacle as his right head fired a beam of sunlight at Digital. Digital struggled, slowly forcing the beam back before Cagney's other two heads also fired a beam of sunlight from their mouths. The other two beams merged with the first beam, making it triple in size. It washed over Digital before she was sent flying out of the beam, smoking.
Endbringer snarled as she drew the pirate driver. "First endbringer translation!" The driver's light switched to the behemoth setting as Endbringer aimed at Cagney. "Slide henshin!" She pulled the trigger and fired a bright red bullet at the three headed lion. He dodged back and the bullet returned to Endbringer, transforming into a bright red armored figure that merged with her. Endbringer had transformed into the behemoth translation!
Endbringer pulled both arms over her shoulders and bent down before, in the same motion, slamming them on the ground. Cracks spread through the ground and stopped under Cagney before rock spikes exploded out of the floor. Cagney gave a shout of pain as three rock spikes blasted into his stomach. Cagney grunted as his body transformed into vines that dove into the ground. "What the-!?" Endbringer shouted, the vines erupted from the ground behind her and formed back into Cagney. Endbringer only had just enough time to turn around before each head spat out a tree trunk sized log. Digital managed to climb back to her boots and her eyes went wide in horror as the tree trunks slammed into her sister, one after the other. The splits froze in mid air, spun and blasted into Endbringer for a second attack.
Endbringer dropped to her knees as her armor flashed and then vanished. Revealing a battered and bruised Louise. "Saikyo, I'm sorry." Her eyes went blank and she dropped unconscious.
Suddenly, Cagney's right head fired a blast of sunlight at Digital. She threw her hands forwards, forming her yin-yang barrier, the sunlight beam splashed off of it. But Digital was blinded by the flash for several seconds. Cagney ran around behind her and as Digital blinked the spots from her eyes, he slammed his right paw into side, throwing her off her feet. Digital slammed into a tree and slid down to the ground. She pointed her staff at Cagney and fired a beam of fire, a beam of water, a beam of green wind and a beam of yellow light. The three beams merged into a single beam that slammed into Cagney. "Ha!" Digital shouted, only to scream in shock as four logs burst from the ground around her, locking her in place. Then a massive cyclone of leaves, the head of which looked like a drill slammed into her, causing an explosion.
"That'll teach N Daguva Zeba, King Dice and anyone else that works for them to leave my mind alone!" Cagney cackled as he turned away.
"Where do you think you're going!?" Came a voice.
Cagney stopped and turned back to Digital. She had been knocked back into her angeGrey translation and cracks had spread throughout her armor. "What do you think you can do in that state?" He mocked.
Dark-blue lightning exploded from the kuuga driver. When it cleared, her driver had turned bright yellow with the light now being dark blue.
This was the balance setting.
"THIS! ANGEGREY EVOLVE TO!" Bright blue lightning cracked over Digital, starting from her boots and moving up, transforming her.
Digital's boots turned dark blue with a dark blue ankle wrapping around each ankle. Her lower legs were coated in armor, the outside of it was dark blue while the inside was silver. The inside of the armor had five thin horizontal lines along it, one above the other. Bright silver circle shaped knee armor covered Digital's knees.
The inside of her legs, as well as the front and back of her lower torso were coated by pitch black mesh. At the outsides of her legs and the sides of her lower torso the mesh turned bright silver. A bright silver border separated the two colors.
Digital's abs, breasts, back and the base of her neck was coated by dark blue armor. The ab armor was made of three lines, while the breast armor was a pair of squares. Bright silver armor coated her last two ribs.
Black mesh covered her neck and around the base of said neck was a bright yellow ring. Her shoulders were covered by dark blue pauldrons that curved down and had bright yellow outlines. Digital's upper arms were coated in black mesh, the outside of which was bright silver and a bright yellow border separated the two colors.
Bright silver armor wrapped around Digital's lower arms, the armor had six lines wrapping around it. Around each wrist was a dark blue bracelet that had a line of dark blue armor leading from it. The armor went along the outside of her lower arms and ended in a blade. Pitch black gloves coated her hands.
Her helmet had turned dark blue, a pair of visors covered her eyes. The visors were bright yellow and looked like tear drops that pointed upwards and outwards. A black line came from the back of the helmet, went over the top of it and stopped at the forehead. In the center of the forehead was a bright yellow diamond shaped gem and her mouth was covered by a dark silver mouthguard.
She was armed with a sword. The blade was dark blue with a pair of bright yellow edges, the blade was made of three sections, each narrower than the last. The guard was black and there was no crossguard in the center of the guard was a bright yellow diamond shaped light. Finally, the handle was colored dark blue with a pitch black circle shaped cap.
"VARIABLE!"
Kamen Rider Digital had transformed into her first upgraded form. She was now Kamen Rider Digital, Variable translation, armed with the balance blade!

Cagney roared as he fired a beam of sunlight from his right head at the Kamen Rider. Digital held up the balance blade so the beam slammed into the flat side of it. She grunted before twisting the blade, slashing the blast in half. Two pure white angel wings appeared from Digital's back and she flew forward after giving them a flap. She slashed down, cutting a line through Cagney's left head, rendering it unable to attack or defend. Cagney spun around and swatted at Digital with his right paw. She landed on the ground, ducking under the swing while her sword was coated in holy white fire. Digital stepped in and slashed Cagney's stomach several times with her sword, setting him on fire!
Cagney screamed and stumbled back before letting loose a pulse of black energy that put out the flames. He spat out a barrage of logs from his two remaining heads. "Hazard mod: hyper sonic!" Digital sped up, leaving dark blue speed lines behind her as she slashed the logs out of the air before darting forwards. Digital weaved through the barrage before stabbing Cagney in the stomach with her balance saber and then slashing upwards, leaving a dark blue scar through Cagney. She spun in the air and slashed at his heads, cutting several lines into them. Suddenly, Cagney surged forwards, aiming to strike Digital with his middle head. The Kamen Rider opened her left hand and the toxic hammer appeared. She crossed the blade and hammer, blocking the attack but was still sent flying back as she was in the air.
Digital grew her angel wings and gave them a flap, righting herself and landing on the ground. She dismissed the hammer and stabbed the balance blade into the ground before holding up both hands. A storm cloud manifested and fired out a barrage of flaming fireballs, Cagney got down and curled in on himself, roots appeared from the ground and wrapped around him, blocking the fireballs.
Just like Digital wanted.
She crossed both arms over her breastplate and bent her legs as toxic red light gathered on its surface. Then she uncrossed her arms, firing a triangle shaped beam of toxic red light that washed over the roots, burning them away. Cagney was protected from the main beam but was still burned by its heat, his other head was burned off, leaving the middle head.
"Time for this era to end!" Digital took up a stance as dark blue light covered her right lower leg. "VARIABLE REALIZED!" She leapt into the sky and came down with a diving kick, swinging her leg from right to left. Cagney was covered in pitch black light that was pulled into his mouth. He howled, firing a black log that was covered in black light with black leaves surrounding it. The two moves slammed into each other.
There was no contest.
The black light was dispelled, the leaves scattered the the log shattered, Digital continued down and slammed her boot into Cagney's head, sending him spinning back through the air. He bounce along the ground once before exploding. The dust cleared and he was back in him normal form as Digital landed on the ground and turned her back to him.
A knock out!
