So in deciding when this story takes place I decided to place it after the events of the 'Gryphons' Arc (Meaning Bimbette was not in Forest to take part in the battle that will happen later in that arc) but before the events of The White Ronin so she can take part in the events of Hunter's Moon as Bimbette is the same age as Little Mac who is now 18 as in this universe the events of Punch Out Wii took place during 2005 which would have been during Season 4 of the 2003 TMNT Cartoon so since the Mutants are using the American Humans' standards of 'age of consent' ages Bimbette is considered an adult thus is not required to enroll in Leo's Martial Arts School though as we will soon she she probably could benefit from it
Doc Louis rubbed his chin as he thought about what he just heard as Little Mac quietly said "I just wish she had told me...I wouldn't have freaked out if she told me she was a talking deer."
"Mac…" Doc Louis said "...I'm sure she had her reasons for keeping it a secret. I mean this was like...1996?" Doc had to due the mental math in his head working out when Mac would have been eight years old "It was probably still a scary time to be a mutant animal! Like even if she felt safe with you she was probably scared that if she did reveal her secret it would get out to other people one way or another."
Little Mac took a deep breath as he thought about that possibility "Yeah…" He sighed "...You're probably right."
And that thought did make him feel better remembering just how hard it was for Mutants before they got their civil rights that they were constantly hiding or fleeing from people like Feral or Bishop who wanted to dissect them so they had good reason to be paranoid.
"But things are different now…" Doc said "...So why don't you...You know...Just try to talk to her! Catch up and see how she's been doing! Since it sounds like she's had quite an adventure herself before deciding to come back to the Big Apple!"
"Yeah!" Little Mac said as he stood up feeling the renewed confidence of the champion boxer he was and thinking that Bimbette turned and fled in that moment simply because she was caught off guard and wasn't expecting to encounter Little Mac in Forest and wasn't ready for him to see her as her true self.
"I'll do that! I'll go back to Forest and it will just be like old times!"
As soon as Mac left the apartment Doc knew he had to call Glass Joe immediately if Little Mac was potentially going to get entangled in a human/mutant relationship Doc wanted to ask the guy who was kind of a.,.Pioneer in this realm of human/mutant relations to ask for advice on what hurdles Mac might have to go through...But now with the revelation from Mac's story that this Mutant Doe was French that gave Doc all the more reason to call the French Boxer because Joe would be VERY interested that there was a French Mutant in Forest...The fact that a French Mutant was in NYC was a very strong hint to Doc that she was created by human experimentation and brought over to America for some reason. Mutants like the Turtles who are mutated by accidental exposure to Mutagens don't tend to cross oceans especially not if their only children!"
Doc quickly dialed Glass Joe's number and hoped he wasn't bothering the Frenchman while he was doing something important.
"Bonjour?" Came the familiar voice
"Hey Glass Joe…"
"Ah! Monsieur Louis! I rarely get a call from you!"
"I hope I'm not bothering you doing something important…" Doc began to say
"Oh non…" Joe said "...We were just watching television, nothing important I'm free to talk."
"Good." Doc said "Cuz...Little Mac just learned today that an old childhood friend of his...She was really a Mutant Deer in disguise…"
Doc could hear Dana's sharply barking "WHAT?!" As a Mutant Dog if she were sitting right next to Joe on the sofa she probably heard everything Doc just said and obviously Dana because of her training had great interest in mutant/human relations.
"Dana please!" Doc heard Glass Joe said "Don't shout so close to me ear! Sorry about that...So a Mutant Biche eh?"
"Yeah…" Doc said "...Her name is Bimbette apparently she was originally from France."
Joe felt a chill go down his spine "Now you really have my attention…" Joe said "...Because I've been under the impression there are hardly any Mutant Animals on the continent...We know there are plenty of Mutants in the British Isles and in Australia...But during our trip to France during our honeymoon I hardly saw any Mutant Animals and the ones I did see were obviously tourists from English speaking countries...I had begin to suspect that there was a conspiracy to keep Mutants off the continent and have the Anglosphere do the dirty work of creating them...Now I really want to meet this Mutant...Because I want to know where she came from and how she was raised."
Already Glass Joe was thinking about that name...Bimbette is not a proper French name on the surface it might sound similar to 'Bambi' but Glass Joe knew it was the collective name of the three blonde girls who were in love with Gaston in Disney's Beauty and the Beast basically making it a French version of the American-English word 'Bimbo' an insult meant to call a woman stupid that was already raising red flags in Joe's mind as that seemed to fall into the pattern of humans giving the Mutants they create deliberately cruel and insulting names…
Really like that Glass Joe has multiple reasons to be invested in helping Little Mac and Bimbette and this is an opportunity to get a window on the international world of Mutants furry how I have now a French Mutant and a Canadian Mutant in Stripes which is France-Adjacent
