"To me, you are still nothing more than a little boy who is just like a hundred thousand other little boys. And I have no need of you. And you, on your part, have no need of me. To you, I am nothing more than a fox like a hundred thousand other foxes. But if you tame me, then we shall need each other. To me, you will be unique in all the world. To you, I shall be unique in all the world..."
But if you tame me, it will be as if the sun came to shine on my life . I shall know the sound of a step that will be different from all the others. Other steps send me hurrying back underneath the ground. Yours will call me, like music, out of my burrow. And then look: you see the grain-fields down yonder? I do not eat bread. Wheat is of no use to me. The wheat fields have nothing to say to me. And that is sad. But you have hair that is the color of gold. Think how wonderful that will be when you have tamed me! The grain, which is also golden, will bring me back the thought of you. And I shall love to listen to the wind in the wheat..." The fox gazed at the little prince, for a long time. "Please, tame me!" he said."
Bimbette quietly read over and over again this passage from her favorite book The Little Prince and quietly thought about how it related to her situation...How she never expected to see Little Mac again after she left New York when she was just a fawn...Because for the most part she had been wandering the wilderness sometimes joining other groups of wandering mutants for a time but always leaving because she didn't like their wild ways but for the most part she was cut off from human society and thus didn't have access to television or even newspapers! So she missed Little Mac's rise through the ranks of the WVBA but she did know from their childhood conversations...That he did dream of being a champion boxer but he feared he wouldn't be able to do it because he was so small…
She had no idea that Rover clearly knowing from Little Mac's reaction that he recognized Bimbette somehow and because he cared about Little Mac but also because he wanted to become a responsible and honorable leader among the young mutants that Leonardo told him he was shaping up to be...The Teenage Timber Wolf went over to Bimbette's Tree Apartment and rung the doorbell.
Bimbette felt her heart skip a beat when she heard the bell ring...But when she looked out the window and saw it was only Rover she relaxed...It was quite funny how the Deer was more relaxed to see her natural predator...And graciously let him in...It really does show the difference between more 'civilized' Mutants the kind who are often raised by human beings that they can recognize in other civilized mutants regardless of species that same level of civility in their bodies and speech and thus feel no fear of them. Whereas the Wild Mutants...Often Mutants who were wild animals exposed to mutagen spills often these were mutated as adults and thus were already set in their ways still feel very distrustful of their natural predators and sometimes just other species of mutants that don't look like them...That was why Eleanor became convinced she needed the Gaia Emerald to temporarily force obedience on the wild mutants for her attempt at war on Humanity she knew getting the different species to work together was like herding cats!
"Hi…" Rover said "...So...About what happened between you and Little Mac, I know Little Mac well enough that he's probably going to come over to your place very soon after he calms down from what was obviously quite a shock...So I'm here to try to find out what the deal is between you two before he gets here."
Bimbette sighed "We were friends when we were both eight years old...When I had first run away from my Master...I...Used my psychic powers to disguise myself as a human girl."
"Like a psychic illusion, like what Eleanor did?!" Rover gasped "I didn't think any other mutant could do that exact specific trick! Because Eleanor had a little Humanimal magic transferred into her…"
"I don't know about Eleanor…" Bimbette sniffed "...But I know I was specifically mutated as part of an experiment in finding a serum to create psychic powers...At first I developed was psychic healing...The ability to heal pain and wounds with a combination of touch and thought...I could even heal with my saliva if I licked a wound...But when I first ran away...I knew it was going to be hard getting through the city being a deer walking on two legs and wearing a dress...I stopped and thought to myself...What if I imagined really hard that I was a human girl? So I lay still and concentrated on imagining myself as a human girl...I could do it but it was incredibly mentally and physically taxing to maintain the illusion…"
So finally Bimbette has a significant amount of lines I also like finally developing more of a role for Rover kind of hinting Leo sees the most potential and him and might be treating Rover the way Splinter treated him...Which may not be a good thing
