Erin's POV

"What the?" Zane said as we arrived at the place where the locator cards told us to go.

The two of us each had an overnight bag since it was recommended finalists bring one. Kaiba Corp Stadium was under construction it seemed. Ahead was the hot CEO himself with Mokuba beside him along with two older guys in suits.

"Sweet! You two made it!" Mokuba greeted us.

"Hey Mokuba" I returned the greeting to the younger Kaiba sibling. Zane was talking with one of the suits.

"You kept your word" Kaiba added. He was smirking and it was freaking hot. "I look forward to dueling you"

"Bro watch it remember she has Balerion" Mokuba reminded his older brother. "That card has the same strength like Blue Eyes"

"You know now that you mention Blue Eyes, Mokuba I'm hoping to see that beauty"

Though it may not be my favorite monster Blue Eyes White Dragon was a gorgeous beast. Four of them existed in the entire world and Kaiba had three while Yugi's grandfather had one. Mokuba was right Balerion was evenly matched with attack and defense points alongside Blue Eyes.

"Most people are fearful of my Blue Eyes"

"Then those who fear it without appreciating its power and beauty are idiots"

Kaiba laughed at this and I was doing my best not to blush even harder. To make matters worse Zane was grinning and I made sure Mokuba wasn't looking before giving my brother the bird. I then approached the gentleman Zane had been talking with and he introduced himself as Roland. He congratulated me on getting into the finals before giving me a key card.

"Have any more Rare Hunters messed with you two?" Kaiba asked this time his tone was serious.

"No thank god" Zane replied and I nodded in agreement.

Kaiba then looked to Mokuba.

"They kidnapped Mokuba"

"Excuse me but they did what?"

I heard Kaiba loud and clear but the mere thought of those cloaked bastards touching Mokuba pissed me off.

"Easy sis Mokuba is fine"

"Good"

I then looked at Mokuba.

"I'm glad your okay we crossed paths with two Rare Hunters ourselves"

At the mention of that I shivered. The encounter still scared me especially when I had been cornered.

"Seto said he got there just in time, it was a good thing you were nearby bro"

"Those creeps know better than to mess with the owner of the Valyrian Deck, let alone put their hands on a woman like that"

"I was ready to tear that jerk to shreds" Zane hissed.

"Relatable I'd do the same if anyone touches Mokuba"

Mokuba and I sweat dropped at our older brother's protectiveness. Kaiba then frowned and I followed his gaze. Yugi and the others had arrived.

"Holy shit! You two made it!" Joey exclaimed happily before rushing over to me. The goofy blonde then gave me a bear hug.

"Let her go, Wheeler, she may not be breathing"

"Mind your own business Kaiba" Joey sneered at the President of Kaiba Corp.

"I'm not surprised to see you and Zane here, Erin" Yugi added after Kaiba's comment.

"Dude she has the Valyrian Deck" Duke Devlin reminded the King of Games. I met Duke a while back and he was nice.

"Even more reason she deserves to be here, nice work girlfriend" Mai complimented me. The blonde-haired woman then decided to chat with Zane.

Next to Tea was a girl I didn't recognize but I knew it was Joey's sister Serenity.

"How did your operation go?" I inquired at Serenity.

"It went very well" she answered cheerfully. "It's Erin, right? Joey said you saved Yugi from that fire"

"Yep and I was just at the right place at the time right time, though"

I made a thumb-pointing gesture at Zane.

"Zane over there is still giving me crap for being reckless"

"I heard that!" Zane protested.

"Older siblings are usually like that" Serenity chuckled.

I continued making small talk with Yugi, Tea, and Serenity until another finalist arrived. He had tan skin and sandy blonde hair. His eyes were a pretty shade of purple. However, something about him made me feel uneasy. Tea and Joey seemed to know the newcomer due to him saving Ryou from something.

At hearing something happening to Ryou it saddened me. I guess you could say I was fond of him.

"You're the one with the Valyrian Deck?" the new finalist wondered coming up to me. "I'm Namu"

I don't believe that's your real name pal I thought.

"Yep the Valyrian Deck is mine and nice to meet you Namu"

Namu chuckled before suddenly taking my hand and he kissed it. I heard Zane growling and I felt someone glaring daggers in my direction. Well more like Namu's because Kaiba looked furious.

Wait is he jealous? No f*" ing way

"Hey isn't that Bakura?"

Thank god Yugi saved the awkward moment and sure enough, walking into Kaiba Corp Stadium was Ryou. I also felt the spirit of the Millennium Ring. Immediately Zane was at my side and his eyes were narrowed on Ryou. I grabbed my brother's hand and he squeezed it. Yugi and the others were conversing with Ryou when another finalist also arrived.

Whoever this was he had the same complexion as Namu and had hieroglyphic tattoos. When it was revealed this was the guy behind Mokuba's kidnapping I almost lost control of myself. But I kept my composure and only glared at the individual. My train of thought was broken when a familiar-looking blimp appeared in the sky above us and landed.

"Alright listen up!" Mokuba shouted getting our attention. "It's time to board Kaiba Craft 3 for the start of the Battle City Finals"

"Nice" Zane stated looking impressed.

Kaiba liked that remark due to the fact he was smirking. It wasn't long until we were on board and the inside of the blimp was awesome. Kaiba sure did know how to pull a tournament off. A half-hour later the blimp rose into the sky and hovered the city of Domino.

"The lights are so pretty from up here," Serenity said appreciating the view.

"Gotta agree with you on that one" I added joining Serenity's side. "I've always wanted to come to Japan"

"What's America like?"

"Meh it's not that different but our technology has less quality which sucks"

"Hey America is where Johnny Depp is from!" Zane shouted.

Again I made sure Mokuba wasn't looking before I flipped my brother off. Serenity laughed and Joey decided to join us.

"You're a Johnny Depp fan?"

"Sorta I just like Jack Sparrow"

"More like she loves him!"

"Shut up Zane!" I snapped at my brother's teasing feeling my face go red. I was going to kick his ass later. Serenity thanked Joey for bringing her here and Joey grinned while bragging about it was the perks of being a champion. Kaiba chose that moment to walk by and stop.

"You think you're a champion Wheeler but you're here by a fluke"

"Keep walking Kaiba" Joey hissed.

The President of Kaiba Corp shot me a glance and immediately I turned away so he wouldn't see my blushing face.

"Enjoy this while you can and listen I wouldn't give your hopes up too high because it's a long way down from up here and the last I checked monkeys can't fly"

Roland then announced we could check out our rooms and I easily found mine. It was close to Zane's room and my jaw dropped when I saw it for the first time. It was freaking huge and it was luxurious. I set my backpack down on the couch before checking the rest of my accommodations. My stomach growled and I made a beeline for the fridge and found some good-looking cheese.

"Your not the only one raiding the fridge"

I jumped at hearing Kaiba's voice. In the process, I smacked my head. I whirled around and saw the handsome human male while nursing a red sore on my forehead. Immediately Kaiba looked guilty.

"Sorry I didn't mean to scare you Erin" he apologized.

"I'm fine" I reassured him. "What's up? You're not exactly a social guy if you know what I mean"

Kaiba smirked again at that comment.

"You're right but I don't mind talking to you, I was actually going to ask you something"

I arched an eyebrow in curiosity.

"Normally I'm not a believer of anything involving fate and destiny, I hear it enough from the Dork Patrol, but earlier when we met up for the second time I had a vision"

Now he had my full attention.

"Before I grabbed your wrist I saw a fox with nine tails, then it was gone and you stood there in its place, I was wondering if you could shed some light into why I keep seeing this fox"

I wasn't going to tell Kaiba what I truly was because one he might think I'm a freak. And two he was skeptical. But he seemed genuinely curious so why the hell not?

"The fox you saw is a Kitsune, a mythical being with nine tails, it's called a Gumiho in Korean folklore"

"So Kitsune is the word the Japanese use for it?"

"Yep that about sums it up"

Kaiba smirked again and I wondered what he thought what was amusing.

"What's so funny?"

"I think I'll start calling you Kitsune since I saw that fox before you took its place"

Immediately I felt my face go red and Kaiba chuckled.

"I'll let you get settled in Kitsune"

He then took his leave and I had to splash water onto my face since I was blood-red from his teasing.

Lmao! Kaiba now has a nickname for Erin! Hope you guys are enjoying the story so far. Also I'm thinking either Zane or Bakura duels Erin in the first half of the finals. What do you guys think? Let me know in a review!
