Erin's POV

"You'll need to think of a better strategy to win this duel my Moonlight" Bakura purred before playing a trap card called Destiny Board.

I went tense as an Ouija Board emerged and hovered above Bakura. Ouija Boards always made Nine-Tailed Foxes uneasy due to their reputation. I growled and Zane did as well.

"Destiny Board allows me to receive messages from lost souls in the Shadow Realm and a message will be given to you my love, with each turn a letter will be added and if you can't defeat me in five turns you lose my dear"

"We'll see about that" I replied as I watched the planchette move around until it settled on the letter "F".

The letter then appeared before Bakura played the magic card called Dark Door. He also summoned another monster before sacrificing it so Dark Sanctuary could remain in play. He ended his turn by placing a card face down.

Silverwing let out a loud roar at Bakura and I smirked.

"Silverwing didn't appreciate you taking possession of her" I notified Bakura. "Let me remind you, the monsters in my deck choose who wields them"

I made my draw before revealing my other face-down card.

"Oh no," Bakura stated seeing Mystical Space Typhoon.

"Payback's a bitch and it's time to kiss your Dark Door goodbye!"

Bakura growled as Dark Door was sent to the graveyard and trusting my gut I had Ghost attack. The Direwolf succeeded in getting his life points lowered. I was about to have Caraxes finish the duel but he along with Ghost and Silverwing whimpered.

"Your monsters are fearful of Dark Sanctuary as they should be" Bakura pointed out. He laughed again before playing the letter "I".

F**k I only had three more turns before I was done. Sangan was then summoned and sacrificed by Bakura.

"You son of a bitch" I hissed and I played Diamond Wyvern in defense mode alongside Dreamfyre. I then looked at each of my monsters and wondered which one might be possessed.

"Caraxes wipe that damn smirk off of his face!"

Caraxes shrieked and opened his mouth to unleash his dragon fire when Bakura laughed.

"Well done my love but I'm afraid he won't be able to attack me"

The bastard revealed his trap card Dark Spirit of the Silent and Caraxes's attack was canceled. Instead Silverwing swiped her claws at me and my life points lowered again.

Now I was f**king furious.

Kaiba's POV

Erin was pissed off big time. And I was also a bit angry. Silverwing was a gorgeous monster and deserved respect. Instead, Bakura was using it against its will.

"Seto I hope Erin can turn this duel around"

"Me too kid"

Erin's POV

"Zaldrizes buzdari iksos daor" I hissed as Bakura played the letter "N".

"Sorry, my love but I'm afraid I don't understand what you just said," Bakura said.

"I said a dragon isn't a slave and that's the last damn time you're touching my monsters!" I roared. "I've had enough of your bullshit, apologies everyone for the language but I'm done"

"End this duel sis! And kick his ass!" Zane shouted.

Bakura chuckled again.

"Then show me what you've got my precious love"

My supposed past lover sacrificed another monster for Dark Sanctuary before placing two cards face down and ended his turn.

There is one creature in my deck that can beat him and I hope to hell I draw him I thought. I closed my eyes and took a breath before making my draw.

Kaiba's POV

Immediately the wind began to blow like crazy and I knew Erin was about to turn this duel around.

"Seto is she?"

"She is" I confirmed smirking.

Erin's POV

"I sacrifice Silverwing and Ghost to bring out the deadly Balerion the Black Dread!"

Bakura was pale as Balerion appeared behind me and he roared his fury. Caraxes, Dreamfyre, and Diamond Wyvern all bowed their heads in submission.

"What's that?" I heard Serenity ask.

"One of the biggest dragons I've ever seen!" Joey answered his sister.

Kaiba's POV

Both Mokuba and I couldn't stop staring at Balerion. He was larger than my Blue Eyes and much more intimidating.

"Holy crap" Mokuba muttered. "Sorry Seto"

"Couldn't agree with you more kid"

Erin's POV

"Erin your Balerion may be powerful but it doesn't guarantee your victory"

"This duel is over! Balerion is strong enough to wipe out your remaining life points!"

Bakura's POV

I felt Marik's presence in my mind.

"She's right that beast is too strong"

"Never!" I roared at him. "I can't lose now, there's too much at stake, I must win!"

"You're not going to win!" Erin shouted.

With a growl, I commanded for the Dark Ghost of Dark Sanctuary to possess Balerion.

But Balerion roared out its anger as the spirit approached him. Instead, it disappeared as though it had been frightened.

"You underestimate the bond that creature shares with its master, no matter how powerful Dark Sanctuary is, Balerion cannot be turned against Erin"

Erin's POV

"Alright Balerion" I began but stopped when I sensed someone was approaching. I turned as did everyone else as the finalist with the facial tattoos looked at me. He held another Millennium Item which Yami said was the Millennium Rod.

"Perhaps you might want to reconsider attacking with your Balerion"

Joey was pissed and Mokuba shouted his disapproval of the duel being interrupted.

Kaiba was annoyed as well. The duelist held up the Millennium Rod.

"Bakura is under the control of the Millennium Rod and he will only do what I command him to do"

Bakura's POV

"Just what do you think you're doing Marik?" I demanded at his spirit form.

"If you free your host you can win this duel"

"Why should I?"

"Erin seems fond of your host, she won't harm him"

"Fine" I growled before releasing my control of Ryou.

Erin's POV

Bakura was no longer present and instead Ryou was. He fell to his knees and my heart broke seeing this poor human suffering.

"Erin?" he inquired weakly.

"The Spirit of the Millennium Ring brought you here Ryou, I'm so sorry you were dragged into this duel against your will"

"It isn't your fault," Ryou said with a smile before clutching his arm. He was in pain and this was so f**ked up

My anger flared even more and I glared at the duelist.

"Your friend is in pain and by attacking with Balerion you'll risk his health"

"You did this to him!" I roared.

I felt my fangs trying to elongate along with my claws. If I didn't calm down I risked revealing what Zane and I were.

"This is a cowardly act to win a duel!" Yami added.

With a snarl, I turned away from the bastard who forced Ryou into his weakened state. It was then I was hit with vision. I saw my past self holding Bakura in her arms and weeping. The thief wore a long red coat with what looked to be a kilt of some sort. Bakura was bloody and I couldn't tell if he was alive or dead. Then as quickly as the vision came it faded away.

Bakura's POV

My beloved just had a vision and it was no doubt of our past life. Several tears slid down Erin's face and this was what changed my mind.

"Marik I've waited for Erin to return to me for five-thousand years I still need Ryou and I can't risk his health I can protect him for the moment with my spirit"

Erin's POV

"Don't weep for me my love" Bakura reassured me as he retook control of Ryou. "We will be together soon, for now, if you plan on using your Balerion why don't you use him on me right now"

The Spirit of the Millennium Ring held his arms out.

"Come on my Moonlight!"

"With pleasure, Balerion!"

Balerion roared before opening his mouth and flames formed.

Bakura's POV

Well done my Moonlight you've made me so proud, you have won this duel and I will come back for you so we may be together and the world's greatest power will be mine!

Erin's POV

"Dracarys!"

Balerion hissed out his flames and as they hit Bakura the thief laughed as the attack was a direct hit. Then Bakura was gone and on the arena floor was Ryou. Roland announced me as the victor and I ran over to Ryou.

The others joined me as I drew Ryou into my arms.

"Are you okay?"

"I think so just tired" Ryou answered. "And I want to rest"

I breathed a sigh of relief before pressing a kiss against his forehead. Tristan then offered to carry Ryou onto his back and with Zane's help the white-haired male was being carried away.

"Well done Erin" Yami congratulated me.

I flashed Yami a grin before looking at Roland.

"My friend isn't in any shape to give me his rarest card right now Roland, so I hope that's alright"

"Fair enough Ms. Randall I'm sure you can get it later"

I then felt dizzy and Zane caught me before I could fall flat onto my face.

"Easy there sis you just had one hell of a duel"

"I need to lay down" was all I could say.

Zane chuckled before guiding me back inside.

A Few Minutes Later.
Still Erin's POV

"Thanks for packing the Ibuprofen"

I was lying down on the bed in my room and Zane was lounging on the sofa. My eyes were currently closed because, after the dizzy spell, I felt a headache coming on. I was expecting one of my brother's silly comments but instead was met with silence.

Opening my eyes I looked at Zane.

"What's wrong?"

But Zane said nothing and alarmed I stood up.

"Zane? Your worrying me why are you so quiet?"

"Tell me, sis, what is it you feel towards the Spirit of the Millennium Ring?"

That question caught me off guard. Then I remembered my first encounter with Bakura and then the duel. I shook my head.

"I don't know" I answered honestly. Zane sighed before standing up himself.

"Just be careful Erin, I don't want to see you hurt"

"And there's the overprotective brother I know and love"

Zane chuckled before giving my hair a ruffle at the same time the chime to my room went off. That sound meant someone was outside my room wanting to see me.

"Expecting someone?" Zane wondered.

"Probably Kaiba"

I felt like an ass for not talking with said CEO after my duel. Zane wore his teasing smirk before deciding to see who was at the door. And sure enough, it was Kaiba. Zane then gave Kaiba a nod before leaving.

"How are you feeling? I saw Zane caught you"

"I'm better now it was just a dizzy spell and thanks to an Ibuprofen my headache should be gone soon"

"You did well in your duel Erin" Kaiba complimented. "And now you'll advance to the next round as will I"

The fact I was one step closer to dueling him was getting surreal to me.

"When I do duel you I hope you'll bring out your Blue Eyes"

That made the hot CEO smirk.

"You really want to see them that bad in person huh?"

He then got out his deck and it wasn't long until I saw his three signature monsters before me. What he did next shocked me even more.

"You can hold them if you want"

Holy shit I thought before carefully taking his three dragons into my grasp.

The artwork on the Blue Eyes White Dragon was breathtaking and the mere fact Seto Kaiba was even letting me hold them said a lot. I then gently returned his Blue Eyes White Dragon's back to him.

"If I play my Blue Eyes then you need to bring out Balerion, and we shall see which dragon is superior to the other, I'm curious what did you tell Bakura after he had Silverwing attack you?"

"It means a dragon is not a slave, Dracarys means dragon fire"

"Perhaps I should come to you if I want to know more of High Valyrian, I haven't read much of George R. R. Martin's stuff but I like the fictional language"

"It's a beautiful language but I'm no expert"

Kaiba chuckled.

"You know a lot more than me"

Then he did something else. He walked until he was right in front of me and then pressed his lips against my forehead.
