Erin's POV

"I'm not afraid of your scorpion Marik! I'll find a way to crush it!"

"My beast is more powerful than all three of your monsters Mr. Wheeler and there's not a card in your deck that can stop it!"

"Where is my can of bug spray? Because that thing is ugly" Zane said.

"Hey Yugi? Erin? Do you think Joey can still win?"

"Yes he can" Yami replied.

"The odds may be against your brother but he can pull it off, he just needs to keep his cool, Marik may have the upper hand but all monsters even Balerion have weaknesses and Joey needs to figure out what they are"

"Balerion having a weakness? Girlfriend, I doubt that card would even have one"

I gave Mai a smirk.

"Remember Mai as I said the Valyrian Deck may be powerful but it's not invincible, now the god card behind Marik is"

I looked at the sealed box within the Temple of the Kings. I just hoped Joey figured out a way to beat Marik before the Winged Dragon of Ra was summoned.

Marik again taunted Joey. And Joey still couldn't attack thanks to Swords of Revealing Light.

"You're going down!" Joey shouted before making a draw.

But the look on the blonde's face told me that the card he just drew was useless. Instead, he kept his monsters in defense mode. Swords of Revealing Light finally vanished and Marik finally made his move with his scorpion. Mythical Beast Selket grabbed Jinzo in its pincers and proceeded to destroy it. The scorpion was slightly larger and its attack points went to 3700.

Joey drew again and his card seemed to be another useless one once more. The blonde passed and I turned away as Mythical Beast Selket targeted Insect Queen.

"I can't watch anymore," Serenity said getting upset.

She tried to run but I stopped her.

"It's gonna be okay" I reassured her bringing her into a hug.

Joey then called out to his younger sibling and the dialogue between them reminded me of the bond I had with Zane. Zane winked at me and I gave my older brother a grin back.

"You feeling better now?" I inquired from Serenity after she was done talking with Joey.

"Yes I am now, sorry I just got scared there"

I nodded before letting go of her.

"You can't quit now man! Wipe the floor with this guy dude!" Tristan roared.

I glared at Marik when he suggested Joey to surrender. If I heard that one more time I was going to lose my own cool. Joey had no choice but to pass his turn and we all watched as Marik commanded his scorpion to finish off Legendary Fisherman.

Now Marik's monster had 5900 attack points.

Kaiba's POV

This duel couldn't end now!

I had to see the Winged of Dragon Ra in action!

As Wheeler passed his turn I noticed Namu was eying Erin and Zane in a way I didn't like. They then lingered on Erin.

Get your damn eyes off of her I thought.

Erin's POV

"You know I got this feeling about you" Joey addressed Marik. "A voice in my head is saying I'm still gonna win this duel but I won't ever forget how you controlled my mind and forced me to duel against my best friend as well as hurting him, the Marik I know doesn't have the courage to face me or Yugi himself, instead I had to do the dirty work"

"I'm facing you now and Mythical Beast Selket will take your remaining life points!"

Kaiba's POV

Wheeler then said something I wasn't expecting. He claimed his opponent wasn't the real Marik.

Now Wheeler has gone insane of course that's Marik! He has the Winged Dragon of Ra in the ark behind him!

Erin's POVY

Your friend is right Balerion told me. Joey's opponent isn't the real Marik

So I was right it seemed. I then shot Namu a glance and he looked pissed.

The false Marik had enough and drew out the fake Millennium Rod claiming his was Marik. The imposter then commanded his scorpion to attack and I turned away. This duel was over.

The scorpion has ceased his attack

Balerion was right and I was confused. Mythical Beast Selket had its pincer right at Joey's neck but for some reason, it wasn't attacking. What happened next made my blood run cold. The imposter raised the fake Millennium Rod and changed his mind. Instead, he turned to the ark and sacrificed his Mythical Beast Selket to the Winged Dragon of Ra along with half of his life points.

The lid of the ark rose and a beam of light shot out of it into the sky. My eyes widened as golden claws appeared from the clouds and soon the dangerous Winged Dragon of Ra was looking down at everyone. And it's power was no joke.

"Holy shit" Zane muttered.

Just as the false Marik commanded the Winged Dragon of Ra to attack immediately Balerion roared in anger.

What is it? I demanded from him.

That is not the true Winged Dragon of Ra Balerion hissed. It is a fake and the real Egyptian God is angry, this is an insult to dragon-kind

The clouds surrounding the blimp darkened and several bolts of lightning lit up the sky. Immediately Zane came over to me and drew me into him while Serenity told Joey to get down from the platform. I then held back a yelp as the false Marik was struck by lightning and as he fell the fake Millennium Rod shattered.

Whoever Joey's opponent was fell onto the arena floor. Joey wondered if he was okay but then the blonde was also hit by lightning!

Tristan tried to climb onto the arena wanting to help Joey but Roland told him to stay off.

Kaiba's POV

"Mr. Kaiba, should I call a double forfeit?" Roland asked.

"Not just yet"

I then shot everyone around me a glance.

"This lighting has nothing to do with the Kaiba Corp dueling system, it's simply an act of nature, both duelists have 200 life points, and whoever gets to his feet in five minutes will be the winner"

Erin's POV

"Joey get up!" I shouted. Hopefully, the goofy blonde could hear me along with the others who called for him to get up.

Suddenly the pretend Marik began to move and he tried to rise but he was too weak and eventually he fell again. Then by some miracle, Joey was back on his feet and I breathed a sigh of relief along with Zane. Roland declared Joey the winner and as the platform was lowered Joey hurried over to his opponent as did Yami and for the hell of it I did as well.

"He looks god awful," I told the boys. Joey's opponent opened his eyes and looked at Joey.

"I'm sorry Joey it was an honor to duel you"

"Same to you, but you gotta come clean now pal, if you're not the real Marik, then who are ya?"

"I am only merely a servant to the real Master Marik"

The weakened human then pointed at Namu.

"That's Marik?" Yami and Joey asked in unison.

"Yes it is" I growled feeling my canines about to lengthen from anger. Zane was angry too but he kept his composure unlike me.

"Admit your true identity, Marik!" Yami shouted. Marik then looked at us with a dark smirk. He held the real Millennium Rod.

"You fools"

The memory of almost being controlled by this jerk made me snap.

"YOU BASTARD!" I roared and soon I was off of the arena platform.

"No, Erin!"

Zane grabbed me before I could even touch Marik.

"Let me go Zane" I snarled trying to fight my brother's hold.

"Feisty thing aren't we?"

"You can shut your mouth" Zane hissed. "Be glad I'm holding my sister back"

Marik chuckled darkly before admitting he used Namu as an alias to get close to Yugi.

"You hurt Ryou" I spat.

"Your friend was merely a pawn to earn these fools' trust my dear"

Marik suddenly clutched his face and I felt an even darker presence. It was then my eyes went wide as Marik seemed to transform.

Shit!

So Marik also had a dark half like Ryou did. Now a taller and even crazier looking Marik stood before us. When he opened his eyes shivers went down my spine.

Back In Erin's Room
Erin's POV

"This is all f**ked up," I told Zane.

"It is" Zane agreed.

"I'm sorry I lost control of myself up there" I apologized to my elder sibling.

"Sis it's alright"

He then took my hands into his.

"Yami will kick his ass back into the Shadow Realm"

My brother's comment made me smile.

"I don't know what I would do without you, big brother"

"How about me saying I told you so Seto Kaiba was your mate?"

Zane wore his signature teasing grin.

"Now isn't the time to tell him that"

"Sis you'll need to tell him eventually, he deserves to know the truth"

"But he may not want to be my mate" I countered.

"Erin, Seto Kaiba likes you, it's so obvious"

"Alright you teasing bastard move it, the next duel is going to start soon"

"Aw shit your right!"

It was then he and I hurriedly left my room.

"Eager for the next duel?"

Damn it!

Kaiba was already next to the Blue Eyes Ultimate machine looking amused.

"Damn straight"

"Will you watch your mouth?!" I snapped at my brother since Mokuba was present.

"Erin it's okay" Mokuba reassured me.

"Kid you still don't need to hear profanity," Kaiba told his younger sibling firmly. Mokuba face palmed while the others arrived. I excused myself and walked over to Yami.

"How's Odion?"

Odion had been Joey's opponent. Yami shook his head.

"In the Shadow Realm"

I mentally swore before Roland called for our attention.

"The next duelists shall be chosen!"

It wasn't long until a number was selected and it was Yami's. The number that followed was none other than Zane's.

"Sweet it's an honor to be facing you," Zane said looking to Yami.

Yami smiled and this duel was going to be an interesting one indeed.
