Erin's POV

"Erin"

I turned as Kaiba walked up to me.

"What's up?"

Kaiba shot a death glare at Yami Marik before looking back at me.

"Since Zane is going to be dueling I think you'd be better watching the duel with me and Mokuba"

He was dead serious and I wasn't going to piss him off by refusing.

"Alright," I agreed. I then arched an eyebrow. "Did Zane suggest this?"

This time Kaiba smirked.

"No"

And speaking of my brother Zane gave Kaiba his typical overprotective glare. I face-palmed before following Kaiba and Mokuba onto a separate elevator that would take us to the arena. During the ride up my heart was pounding like hell.

"This duel is going to be interesting"

Thank you, Mokuba for causing a distraction!

"I hope so I'm curious how Zane duels" Kaiba added.

"You two will just have to wait and see"

Damn it!

I didn't mean to say that in a teasing tone. Nice going, Erin!

"See we will Kitsune" Kaiba stated with that hot smirk of his.

Crap now he's teasing me I thought.

Mokuba was holding a hand to his mouth and was trying not to laugh out loud in front of his brother. I was relieved when we finally arrived at the dueling arena.

"Hey, Erin! What are you doing with Kaiba?" Joey inquired.

"None of your business Wheeler" Kaiba replied to the blonde.

Joey growled and stormed back over the others while I followed Kaiba and Mokuba to where they watched the last two duels. Zane and Yami were shuffling each other's decks and I could tell my older sibling was excited about dueling the King of Games.

Yami wished Zane good luck and my brother did the same before both of them went to their respective spots. The arena rose and it was time to duel.

Zane's POV

I was glad Kaiba had Erin beside him. I didn't trust Marik's dark half around my sister. The evil bastard was close to the others smirking. Beside Kaiba, she would be safe until my duel with Yami was over. I was aware he was the Spirit of the Millennium Puzzle. Roland said that I was to start first and I made my first draw.

"Alright, first I'll bring out Poison Wyvern in attack mode!"

My deck was mostly mythical creatures along with some others like Blade Knight. Poison Wyvern came to life and it was a pretty shade of dark green. Its wing membranes and frills were emerald green along with the fins on both sides of its face. Its attack points were 1600 and it had a useful special ability. Knowing Yami he would have a plan up his sleeve so to be safe I lay a card face down and concluded my turn.

Erin's POV

"That's a cool-looking dragon" Mokuba complimented admiring Poison Wyvern.

"Wait till you see Moonstone Dragon," I told him.

"I hope to see that monster as well" Kaiba added.

Zane's POV

Yami made his draw before playing Gazelle the King of Mythical Beasts. But instead of attacking he played a card face down.

I bet he wants me to attack him I thought.

After making my draw I added Griffin of Light to the field in defense mode.

"I'm afraid you'll have to say goodbye to that face-down card buddy reveal Dust Tornado!"

"Oh no!" Yami exclaimed as my trap card took effect.

Dust Tornado did its job and the card sent to the graveyard was Mirror Force. With Yami's trap card gone, he was vulnerable to attack. But first I activated Poison Wyvern's special ability.

"Once per turn, Poison Wyvern can weaken any of my opponent's monsters on the field by 200 points" I explained.

Poison Wyvern reared its head back and hissed out a green cloud directly at Gazelle. Gazelle's attack points lowered and I commanded Poison Wyvern to attack. My dragon obeyed and Gazelle was no more causing Yami's life points to drop by 300.

"Well played" Yami praised as I set a card face down. "Gazelle may be gone but this duel is only getting started, my friend"

It was his turn and I paid close attention. Yami's next monster was Gamma the Magnet Warrior and he had it destroy Griffin of Light. He ended his turn by playing another face-down card. Thanks to Griffin of Light's special effect I could special summon Moonstone Dragon but I chose not to bring him out just yet.

"Alright, I think it's time to say hello to another wyvern, come out Lightning!"

A wyvern with purple scales and lavender wing membranes and frills emerged next to Poison Wyvern. Its attack points were 1900, strong enough to destroy Gamma. But I wasn't stupid Yami no doubt had another trick up his sleeve.

"Another dragon?" Yami stated.

"I have four of these beauties in my deck and Lightning is the most dangerous as it's powerful, and don't forget if I choose Poison can lower Gamma's attack points"

Erin's POV"

Hmmm it looks like Yugi's in trouble," Kaiba said with a smirk.

"Four dragons? What exactly are the other two?" Mokuba wondered.

"You'll just have to find out" I answered Mokuba.

Zane's POV

"Your dragons may have the upper hand Zane, but I have ways to bring them down," Yami told me.

"Alright, Lightning go!"

Lightning obeyed and took flight. As its lightning began to form Yami spoke up.

"Not so fast! Reveal Magical Hats!"

I was suspecting that I thought.

The four magical hats appeared and one hid Gamma. The hats then rearranged themselves and I almost got dizzy by watching them being shuffled up.

"Now Zane which hat will you have your dragons chose?"

"Lightning destroy the left hat!"

Lightning unleashed its powerful attack and the hat was destroyed. But no Gamma, I then had Poison destroy the hat next to the right one.

"Better luck next turn" Yami encouraged.

I sighed and ended my turn.

"For now I will keep Gamma hidden but I now intend to bring out my most powerful creature!"

Oh crap!

Yami played Ancient Rules and it wasn't long until Dark Magician was on the field.

"Dark Magician destroy his Lightning Wyvern!"

Dark Magician raised his staff and then shot a blast of magic from it. Lightning was destroyed and my life points went down to 2100. Yami ended his turn with another face-down card. It was then I chuckled and Yami looked confused.

"True your Dark Magician is powerful but I'm afraid it's going to be gone in this turn"

Erin's POV

"Here we go"

"Is he about to summon Moonstone Dragon?" Kaiba questioned.

"Patience Kaiba"

Kaiba chuckled.

Zane's POV

"By sending Griffin of Light into the graveyard I activate it's special ability, whenever it's destroyed and sent to the graveyard I can special summon any Light attribute monster from my deck, hand, or graveyard so it's time, come out Moonstone Dragon!"

My most prized monster came to life on the field and it roared at Dark Magician.

"And with each Light attribute monster in my graveyard Moonstone gains 200 points making it stronger than your Dark Magician!"

Moonstone's power was now at 3300. Stronger than Blue Eyes White Dragon.

"Come on Yugi if you can take down Kaiba's Blue Eyes, you can slay this dragon!" Joey shouted.

"I heard that Wheeler!" Kaiba snapped.

"Moonstone! Mirror Flare now!"

Just as Moonstone was about to finish forming it's attack Yami chose that moment to pounce. His face down card was A Thousand Knives meaning Moonstone could be destroyed.

"Sorry but I'm afraid your magic card is useless, Moonstone Dragon has another special ability, only one time during a duel it can send a card or my choosing to the graveyard and I'm choosing Thousand Knives!"

Yami growled as he sent his magic card away and Moonstone Dragon completed it's attack on Dark Magician. My opponents life points dropped to 3000.

Erin's POV

"Zane is good" Kaiba praised my brother. "This duel is getting interesting and Moonstone Dragon is a nice looking card"

"Out of curiosity would you see ever consider him a worthy opponent?"

"Hmmm now that you mention it yes he would" he then shot me an amused look. "But I intend to duel you before I ever face your brother Kitsune"

I turned my face away so Kaiba wouldn't see my blush.

Zane's wyverns were inspired from Ark Survivor Evolved. So credit goes to Wildcard for Poison,Lightning,Fire,and Ice Wyvern.
