Erin's POV

"He went this way," I alerted Yugi and Tea, nodding to the right-hand side of the forkway. The three of us were inside the tunnel that Kaiba had entered after he went after Mokuba. "Kaiba's scent lingers here"

"Dang, I wish I had your powers, Erin!" Tea exclaimed as we took off running down the tunnel.

"Hey, look, there's a light ahead!" Yugi yelled.

Sure enough, waiting for us at the end of the tunnel was a light.

"Oh god, not more woods," I growled as we left the tunnel.

Before us was a giant mansion that appeared to be abandoned. I summoned my sword to be on the safe side. I tried to break the lock on the gate with my blade but to no avail.

"Hey, you hear that?" Tea asked.

Cries of a baby could be heard from the mansion but I didn't buy it. It was no doubt one of Noah's tricks.

"It's a trick" I informed Yugi and Tea. "But Kaiba's scent is coming from inside there"

"Even more reason to go inside" Yugi added.

"Stand back, both of you," I advised before summoning my fox fire, and I threw it at the lock. The lock melted.

"Is there anything else you foxes can't do?" Yugi wondered. I shot my friend a smirk.

"I can't shift into anyone else and I don't eat human livers"

"Eww, that's just messed up," Tea complained.

"More like f**ked up"

We then made our way into the mansion. As expected, the mansion was deserted, but Kaiba's scent was getting stronger, meaning he was close by. The baby's cries ceased when we stopped to look around in an old bedroom. Yugi found a rattle while Tea was looking at an old picture.

"Uh Yugi, Erin, you might want to take a look at this"

Confused Yugi and I approached her. Tea gave Yugi the picture and my eyes went wide. In the picture was Noah himself!

And next to him was Gozaburo Kaiba.

"The hell? I'm so confused"

"So am I" Yugi agreed.

It was then I felt Kaiba's end of the mate bond and I told the others to follow me. The link led us to a door, and I didn't waste any time opening it.

"Ah, I see we got company," Noah greeted us. With him was Mokuba and Kaiba looked stressed. I looked at Mokuba and immediately knew something was wrong with him.

"You little shit" I hissed when I figured it out glaring at Noah "You turned Mokuba against his brother"

"Quite the observer, aren't you, Erin? After all, I'm not surprised by one of your kind"

"Don't call her that, you brat" Kaiba snapped. Noah looked at my mate.

"Seto you are so naïve, from the beginning Erin has been hiding a secret from you"

With a snarl, I was about to charge forward, but Yugi and Tea held me back.

"See? Her body language shows it"

"Shut your mouth" I spat.

Noah chuckled, and while Tea held me back, Yugi approached Kaiba with the picture.

"Does this picture mean anything to you Kaiba?"

Kaiba took the photo and his eyes widened.

"This has to be a trick! This is Noah and my step-father!

"Perhaps you all should see something" Noah announced before snapping his fingers.

A projection appeared and that asshole Gozaburo sat behind a desk with Noah in front of it. Gozaburo took something out of the desk and slid it to Noah. It was another photograph.

"Who's this kid?"

"He's my latest acquisition, his name is Seto, he and his brother will be coming to live with us, he's extremely intelligent, you could learn a lot from him"

I called Gozaburo a jerk which amused Noah.

"That will be my plan, Seto will be here to constantly challenge you, my hope is that having him around the house will help motivate you to improve your studies, after all, I'm going to hand over Kaiba Corp to you someday Noah, and you'll have to prove to me that you have the intellect it takes to run a company of this magnitude"

"All right you won't be disappointed, Father"

"The hell?!"

"What did he say?!"

Tea gasped.

"That's his Dad" Yugi finished.

"Not quite what you were expecting is it Seto?" Noah asked approaching us. "You and I being step-brothers"

"Dude, you have the same hairstyle," I pointed out.

Noah chuckled again.

"But it's all true I am Gozaburo's one true son and I was always supposed to inherit his empire, you were nothing but one of my father's servants, brought in to motivate me, that's the only reason my father let riff-raff into his house to train me, and that's the story of how an orphan with no class became the President of Kaiba Corp"

"He has more class than you" I growled.

"But your story makes no sense! If you are really Gozaburo's son, then how come I never met you before? Answer that Noah"

"Well, that's part two of my story," Noah replied before a screen lit up and it showed the others being chased by four monsters.

"Those fools" Noah growled.

Joey was driving the truck like a bat out of hell.

"Wait a second, those are the other members of the Big Five," Tea said.

"Unfortunately yes so I'll have to cut this short, I'll be back after I deal with them"

Kaiba protested just as Noah and Mokuba disappeared. My mate shook, and not caring if Yugi and Tea were watching, I approached Kaiba from behind and hugged him.

"We'll get Mokuba back"

I then felt my mate place a hand on mine.

Afterwards.

"Erin wait"

We were in a desert wasteland and Noah had just sent the remaining members of the Big Five packing via a dust tornado. Ahead, Yugi and Tea were chatting with the others, leaving me alone with Kaiba. I still had a feeling about where this conversation was heading.

"What did Noah mean by your kind?"

Damn it, I was hoping to wait to tell him the truth, I thought.

"If you learned the turn you wouldn't believe me"

I couldn't look at Kaiba because I was afraid. Afraid of what he would think of me after learning about my Nine-Tailed Fox heritage. As well as rejecting me.

"Try me Kitsune"

I took a deep breath before finally turning to face my mate.

Kaiba's POV

My eyes widened when I saw Erin's eyes were gold instead of their navy blue.

"I was hoping to reveal my true nature to you later but you deserve to know the truth about what and who I am"

She backed away before closing her eyes and her body glowed silver. Then she disappeared and I felt my heart pound as the same silver Nine-Tailed Fox from my dreams and visions stood before me.

Erin's POV

I watched Kaiba as he took in the sight before him. He was definitely shocked which was what to be expected. After what seemed like an eternity, Kaiba finally moved, and he approached me. He lowered himself to my level so he could get a better look at my true form.

He placed his hand on my shoulder blade to feel my fur. To see if it was truly real.

"I'll be damned" was his response.

Seeing that was a promising sign I remained still so my beloved could continue to look at me. It wasn't every day you learned someone in one's company was a creature of mythology. Eventually, I backed away from Kaiba again and shifted back to human form.

"Now you know the truth," I told Kaiba. "I am a Nine-Tailed Fox, with the blood of a human flowing through my veins"

"So you're a hybrid?"

I nodded at my mate.

"So that means Zane is the same"

"He is, but unfortunately his spirit is in the Shadow Realm"

I then turned my face away.

"I'm sorry I kept this from you Kaiba, but I had my reasons"

The president of Kaiba Corp was silent for a few minutes but it wasn't long until I felt him pull me forward. And then I was in his arms.

"Damn it, Erin," he began. "You shouldn't have been afraid to tell me this"

"It was your rejection I feared"

"I would never hurt you, Erin, all this time it was you I kept seeing in my visions and dreams"

"You also need to know something else"

Kaiba released me and gave me a look letting me know he was listening.

"A Nine-Tailed Fox only has one mate throughout their life, my Zaldrizes that is you"

I tried not to chuckle as Kaiba blushed slightly. But it faded away, and instead, his signature smirk came to his lips.

"I had a feeling there was more to your crush on me"

"I'm being serious here, Kaiba," I reminded him firmly.

"As am I"

He then placed a hand underneath my chin, and our eyes locked.

"This will take some adjusting but know this Kitsune, you are mine, and when we get out of this dump this conversation will continue"

He then pressed a kiss against my forehead.

"Out of curiosity what did you call me?"

"Zaldrizes, it means dragon in High Valyrian"

"So that's your nickname for me?"

Damn, his smirk.

"You know the answer to that"

My mate chuckled before deciding to pull me into another hug.

"Thank you for telling me the truth Kitsune"
