Erin's POV

"Come on Erin"

I gave my mate a questioning look. The others were being distracted by Nezbitt at the moment.

"I need to find Mokuba and I want you to come with me"

"Wouldn't I just slow you down?" I asked.

"No Kitsune"

My Zaldrizes wore his signature smirk.

Damn tease, I thought before nodding, and it wasn't long until the others were behind us.

"Hold on a minute" I alerted my other half before summoning Silverwing, Sunfyre, and Dreamfyre.

"You called us wielder?" Dreamfyre inquired.

"Yes, can you three help in finding Mokuba? Noah's taken him and with you three in the sky, it will increase the chances of finding him"

"We shall try our best," Sunfire replied before taking flight. Dreamfyre followed suit but Silverwing remained where she was.

"It looks like your wing has healed" Kaiba addressed the dragoness. "I can't believe I'm even communicating with you"

Silverwing opened her mouth in her version of a smirk and chuckled.

"You easily believed my wielder when she revealed herself to you" she countered.

"That's different" Kaiba responded. "I saw her transform before my eyes"

Silverwing emitted a sigh.

"Stubborn human"

My Zaldrizes was about to debate her reply but he stopped when Silverwing placed her snout against his hand.

"I will hunt the skies until your brother is found but I must give you a word of advice Stubborn One"

Silverwing looked at me for a minute before facing Kaiba again.

"A Nine-Tailed Fox's first love is their one and only love, whether you decide in fate is up to you, but it gave you Erin, as it gave you to her, treasure that bond with every fiber of your being Seto Kaiba"

"Silverwing," I growled, feeling my face burning red.

Kaiba suddenly intertwined a hand with mine, and I looked at him. His eyes were still focused on Silverwing.

"I won't hurt her ever"

Satisfied with his response, Silverwing snorted before opening her wings, and she took flight.

"I wish your deck had a better nickname for me," Kaiba stated, finally turning his attention to me.

"You are stubborn, my Zaldrizes," I pointed out.

He smirked before deciding to steal a quick kiss. By the time he pulled away my face was blood red. He was still smirking and his teasing was beginning to drive me insane.

"I like hearing you call me that"

"Alright Romeo, let's focus back on the task at hand"

Kaiba agreed, and the two soon resumed walking. The landscape, no surprise, changed as we looked for any sign of Noah or Mokuba.

"A fox's sense of smell is stronger than that of a human; it was how I found you in the mansion," I explained to Kaiba as we climbed an endless amount of stairs. "That and your end of our mate bond"

"Do you have Mokuba's scent now?"

I gave my other half a shake of my head. I then nodded ahead, and it looked like the end of these godforsaken stairs was close. My Zaldrizes took off running and I followed suit. We both didn't stop until we reached the top and were understandably out of breath.

Kaiba then called out for his brother but, of course, got no response.

"Damn Noah for doing this" my mate hissed. "Whatever grudge he has against me he should have done it face-to-face, by taking Mokuba shows he's only a coward"

"I'm also troubled by something else"

Kaiba looked at me.

"If that photograph was taken six years ago as you said Noah should have been your age by now, but he isn't, that means something happened to him"

"I was thinking the same thing do you have any ideas?"

"My only suspicion is something serious"

Our conversation ended when the haze began to clear and Kaiba's eyes went wide. Ahead was a building and my Zaldrizes recognized it.

"What's going on?"

"What we're about to see is something only me and Mokuba know about, stay close Erin"

"I can handle my own" I answered my mate. This made Kaiba look at me. "Not that I don't appreciate your overprotectiveness my Zaldrizes, but remember I am a Nine-Tailed Fox and we are perfectly capable of standing our ground"

Kaiba was satisfied with that and the two of us continued onward. We were in Noah's virtual Kaiba Land a project that was top secret. We stopped outside of a warehouse and at the keypad was a chessboard. I growled at my displeasure of chess and Kaiba chuckled before making the correct move to open the door.

It opened and I let my fox sight take over since it was dark.

"You know I like your eyes like that" Kaiba complimented. "Let me guess you can see in the dark better?"

"Not as good as a cat's but well enough to not run into something"

"Look"

I followed my mate's gaze and saw a door had appeared.

"Maybe it will lead to Mokuba," Kaiba said.

"Perhaps but be cautious"

The CEO nodded before opening the door and it led us to a room where an old movie projector was waiting for us. I arched an eyebrow in curiosity while my Zaldrizes turned on the projector. Old movies from Noah's past came to life on the screen. A birthday, a fishing trip, etc. And Gozaburo was in every one of them.

"Nice outfit, dork." I did a mental eye roll at my mate's remark on Noah's clothing.

"I got a bad feeling"

The movie then showed Gozaburo waiting outside of a church and a woman holding a picture of Noah.

"Son of a bitch"

It was just as I feared. Noah indeed had some sort of accident and it resulted in his death.

"Noah died" I informed Kaiba. "It would explain why he hasn't aged"

And somehow Gozaburo brought Noah into this virtual world when he should have accepted his son's tragic death.

"Come on Erin, let's get out of here"

"Yeah," I agreed.

But as I walked alongside my beloved outside, something inside me felt sympathy for Noah. My thoughts were interrupted by the familiar roars of Dreamfyre, Sunfyre, and Silverwing. The three dragons descended towards us, and a few seconds later, they landed with ease.

"Did you have any luck finding my brother?" Kaiba questioned.

"The three of us searched different areas but kept returning to the same starting point" Dreamfyre answered him.

"The human who looks like you is responsible" Sunfyre added.

While Kaiba growled Dreamfyre and Sunfyre expressed their apologies before disappearing.

"Stubborn One"

"I have a name you know" Kaiba reminded Silverwing.

"Silverwing" I warned the dragoness firmly.

"Oh very well, Kaiba"

Kaiba looked at the silver dragon.

"You will get your brother back if there's one thing I know while being in your presence is that you don't give up, use that strength to guide you"

She then gave the President of Kaiba Corp an affectionate nudge with her snout.

"Hey, don't knock me off my feet," Kaiba retorted. He then gave Silverwing a small smile before placing a hand on her snout. "But thanks for the advice I knew there was a reason I liked you"

"I see, I had no idea you were a fan of mine, Stubborn One"

Kaiba protested and I turned away so my Zaldrizes wouldn't see me laughing.
