Good god sorry for the delay guys, I've been really busy.
Kaiba's POV
I played Pot of Greed, and after drawing two new cards, Silverwing spoke.
"Use one of my special abilities, one of which is that you can summon a higher-level dragon monster without a sacrifice"
"Alright," I agreed. "Listen here, Noah, I now activate Silverwing's special ability!"
I gave my spoiled stepbrother the rundown on how the dragon's effect worked and then summoned Different Dimension Dragon before laying three cards face down.
Erin's POV
"What's Kaiba doing? Giant Rex can easily destroy Rich Boy's dragon" Joey wondered.
"My bet is two of his face-downs are Ring of Destruction and Ring of Defense," I answered Joey. "He doesn't do anything without reason"
Noah drew and then planned Deepest Impact.
"Oh great," I mumbled as more chaos ensued as meteors began to fall everywhere, and the others were freaking out except me and Yugi.
Different Dimension Dragon was destroyed, and when the meteors finished their pandemonium, the landscape again changed. The prehistoric jungle faded into an icy wasteland aka the Ice Age. Giant Rex got destroyed causing both duelists to lose life points. Noah played Last Tusk Mammoth just as Different Dimension Dragon returned to the field in defense mode.
"Oh shit," I swore, remembering Last Tusk Mammoth's special ability. But as expected, Kaiba had a plan; he first activated the Ring of Destruction.
Last Tusk Mammoth would automatically get destroyed and deal damage to both players. But again my Zaldrizes was prepared and then played Ring of Defense to protect himself. Ring of Destruction latched itself around Noah's mammoth, and it was destroyed, giving Noah a heavy blow on life points.
After drawing Kaiba put Different Dimension Dragon into attack mode before discarding Thunder Dragon. It was swallowed up by Shinato's Ark; he then played two more Thunder Dragons before using Polymerization, and Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon joined Different Dimension Dragon. Lastly, my mate played Quick Attack, which would allow Twin-Headed Thunder Dragon to attack immediately.
"You seem to have forgotten I can call upon any monster from Shinato's Ark to protect me!" Noah sneered before having Giant Rex and Giant Soldier of Stone come to the field.
My beloved then laughed.
"You fell right into my trap!"
Kaiba now had Dragon's Rage activated, which allowed all of my mate's monsters to deal battle damage to Noah's life points as long as they were higher than defense. Different Dimension Dragon attacked Giant Rex and Kaiba was about to command his other dragon to do the same when suddenly Mokuba appeared right in front of Noah with his hands held out to protect him.
"Mokuba!" my mate shouted. "What did you do to him, Noah?!"
"Whoever you are, if you want to attack my brother, Noah, you'll have to go through me!"
"Mokuba snap out of it!" my Zaldrizes begged.
While Noah began to cackle, I slammed my fist into the ground, not caring if I got hurt.
"Mokuba! I know you're in there buddy! Noah is using you! You're just as strong as your brother, who has fought like no tomorrow to get you back, as I am here for you, too!"
"You don't care about Mokuba, Erin!" Noah shouted at me. "You want him gone so you can have Seto all to yourself!"
"THAT'S A LIE!" I roared. "IF I DIDN'T GIVE A DAMN ABOUT HIM, I WOULDN'T BE HERE! SO DON'T SPROUT BULLSHIT!"
My outburst had Joey, Duke, and Robot Tristan huddle in fear while Kaiba looked at me. What I just said was the truth and seeing Mokuba like this not only broke my heart for my Zaldrizes, but for myself as well.
"Now, Seto, you must decide forfeit the duel and step down as President of Kaiba Corp or attack Mokuba and risk losing him forever!"
A snarl escaped my lips, and had it not been for Joey and Yugi holding me back, Noah would have been getting his butt kicked by yours truly.
"I won't say it again, Noah; let Mokuba go," Kaiba demanded.
Noah then accused my Zaldrizes of disrespecting Mokuba which was bullshit.
"Give Kaiba Corp to Noah now!"
Kaiba growled before ending his turn knowing damn well Mokuba's safety was at risk. Mokuba proceeded to join Noah's side and the brat made his next move. He chose to destroy the monsters in Shinato's Ark, and his life points went up big time due to the large number of monsters in his Deck Master. The Dark Hole was played, and all of the monsters on the field were destroyed before being sent to Shinato's Ark.
Kaiba's POV
Perhaps I have been too hard on Mokuba I thought.
"Whatever you're thinking, Stubborn One, know one thing: your love for your brother is endless, and you can wake him up from Noah's mind games," Silverwing stated.
She was right.
"Butt out dragon!" Noah snapped Silverwing.
Silverwing roared at Noah, and it wasn't long before my voice joined in.
"Kid! We're a team remember? You were always there for me! We defeated our stepfather together! I couldn't have done it without you!"
Yugi then shouted to me this situation was exactly like how when Marik had forced Wheeler to duel Yugi. The Millennium Rod supposedly could control one's mind and he suggested the answer was in my deck.
Erin's POV
My Zaldrizes drew a card before having Different Dimension Dragon return to the field. He placed it in defense mode and concluded his turn.
Again the landscape changed from the Ice Age into modern times. Hell, it was Domino City, and in the distance was Kaiba Corp.
"Once I take over Kaiba Corp, I'll return the company to the way it was," Noah sneered.
Then I kid you not, a damn jet plane by the name of Gradius arrived, and then Noah used the equipped magic card Cyclone Laser which raised Gradius's attack points, then another magic card was used to strengthen Noah's monster even more, and Noah had attacked Different Dimension Dragon.
Even in defense mode, Kaiba's life points lowered as his dragon was destroyed, and then it returned to the field. Kaiba drew before keeping Different Dimension Dragon in defense mode, and after some taunting from both ends, Noah began his turn again.
The preteen played Gradius's Option and another Gradius joined the original. Once again, Different Dimension Dragon was destroyed, and my Zaldrizes lost more life points. He was now to 500 and was getting tired.
Different Dimension Dragon returned to the field and then it was destroyed once more. This time the impact from the attack got my Zaldrizes to fall onto his back. And seeing my mate hurt made me whimper.
Kaiba's POV
Silverwing landed beside me, and using her tail, she propped me onto my knees. I thanked her before looking at Mokuba.
"Snap out of it Mokuba! I need you in order to beat him!" I pleaded to my younger sibling.
"What's the matter Seto feeling down?" Noah taunted but I ignored him. "Your just one step from annihilation, Seto"
"I'm not done," I said before getting back to my feet. "It will take more than a few attacks to keep me down"
"Mokuba!" Yugi shouted. "I know your in there! Noah is hypnotizing you with lies! Seto is your brother! Not Noah, and he's never let you down! Look inside your heart and remember him!"
Suddenly Mokuba closed his eyes and placed a hand to his face as though trying to get free from Noah's control.
"Kid! Don't let Noah poison your mind; we're family, and no one can change that; you and I have always been there to support one another, and we always will be; there's something I never told you, kid; you once saved me! When we were kids, when Gozaburo Kaiba adopted us, he was merciless, forcing me to work for no hours with no rest; I was exhausted and ready to give up until you inspired me!"
I then remembered the made-up Blue Eyes White Dragon Mokuba made for me when I was at my wit's end.
"By making that card you encouraged me not to give up, you gave me something to strive for, I swore that day to become a person worthy of possessing a real Blue Eyes"
A tear went down Mokuba's face and I knew I was getting through to him.
"I remember"
"That's right, kid, I know you can't forget about me, You're strong, and I know you can break free from Noah's mind games; never give up! Never let anyone control you!"
Again Mokuba put his hands to his face.
"Never give up"
*Fight him off, kid! We can do this! You and I together!"
I then drew a new card and prayed it was the one I needed. And sure enough, it was.
"This duel is over Noah, now I activate Silverwing's second special ability"
Silverwing roared and she glowed silver.
"Thanks to Silverwing I can summon a high-level dragon by sacrificing one"
Erin's POV
I smirked as Different Dimension Dragon was sacrificed and my Zaldrizes brought out Blue Eyes White Dragon. The mighty beast came beside Silverwing and both dragons roared in unison. Mokuba then finally snapped out of it.
"Mokuba!"
"Seto!"
Noah swore when he realized Mokuba was being controlled by him.
"Later you phony"
The younger Kaiba sibling then ran off and Kaiba was in the clear. My Zaldrizes used Blue Eyes to destroy one of the jets and the other was as well. Noah, of course, mentioned he had five monsters on Shinato's Ark, and after they were gone, Noah gained more life points.
Just as Noah was about to start his turn Kaiba said it was time to find out which one of them was superior before playing Last Turn. Each duelist had to have their monster face one another in battle and only one would remain standing. Of course, Kaiba chose Blue Eyes while Noah chose Shinato's Ark. Blue Eyes unleashed its rage and made a direct hit on Shinato's Arm.
It seemed victory was Kaiba's but Noah's rang out.
"Look again, you fools, you've just unleashed a power like nothing you have ever seen!"
When the smoke cleared a new monster revealed itself.
"Seto, when you destroyed Shinato's Ark, you released Shinato, King of the High Plain!"
And what was worse it was stronger than Blue Eyes. Noah commanded his Deck Master to attack and Blue Eyes was destroyed. The blast from Blue Eyes being destroyed was so intense my Zaldrizes was knocked down.
As Noah rambled about more nonsense and merged with his Deck Master, Mokuba was running to his brother.
"This reunion is touching, but I'm afraid I'm going to have to cut it short!"
Kaiba's POV
One minute, I was about to hug Mokuba, and the next, a scream I never heard before filled my ears.
"What the?!" Noah protested.
Mokuba was in my lap and something had pushed him there. And standing in front of us was Erin in her true form.
Erin's POV
The blast that meant to turn my Zaldrizes and Mokuba into stone hit me instead. I refused to let Noah further harm them so I made the choice to protect my mate and his brother. And despite the pain it was worth it.
"Erin!" Kaiba yelled as he saw what I just did.
Then the full force of the blast hit me and I let out another whine before reverting to human form. I landed on my back with minor burns on my flesh. The others yelled my name and I did my best to stay awake.
"Stay awake Erin!" Mokuba begged as he rushed to my side. I opened my eyes to see the younger Kaiba sibling in tears. He was holding my right hand in both of his.
"Hey buddy, welcome back," I greeted him while placing a hand against his face.
Strong arms wrapped themselves around me and my Zaldrizes held me close.
"Erin, why did you do that?" he asked. My beloved was on the verge of tears due to his tone.
"A fox protects her mate my Zaldrizes"
Kaiba's POV
Erin then closed her eyes and I was literally shaking. Mokuba shed a few tears, and I brought my little brother into a hug, not caring who was watching.
"Kaiba"
I looked to see Yugi had walked on over.
"Your duel against Noah still isn't finished" he then looked to the unconscious Erin in my arms. "And your in no shape to continue"
"Damn right, I'm not," I agreed before looking at Mokuba. "Kid"
Mokuba nodded before taking my cards and gave them to Yugi.
"Beat that punk, Yugi" my younger sibling.
"I will just take care of Erin"
"Don't screw up Yugi" I advised my rival.
Silverwing roared before flapping to Yugi's side.
"Shall we fight as one?" she inquired at my rival.
"It would be my honor"
Silverwing gave Yugi a smirk before she eyed me.
"Guard her with your life, both of you"
"Noted"
Noah accepted Yugi taking my place, and as the stone platforms rose, my attention went back to Erin.
"She'll be alright Seto"
"I hope so kid"
