Is It Wrong To Become a Psycho In a Dungeon

Chapter 3

Stronger Through Fighting

Bell and Lili were walking through the worst part of town, the part that is destroyed or crumbling from the different things that have wrecked the city and have not bothered with repairing it, but the two were walking down this way not to look at the sights but to go directly to his home. It was the day after he had rescued her and Bell told Hestia and what happened and so his goddess wanted to meet the little Prum, he was hoping they wouldn't want to meet each other yet, but knew that they would eventually if he stayed partied up, so Lili also agreed to meet her. He might also have to nip something in the bud that was blooming now more than ever, he could tell through his nose, which he figured out that was how he knew, that both Lili and Hestia now had a crush on him, though he would be fine with Hestia if she weren't a parent to him, but not Lili. This entire situation was becoming more and more annoying to try and manage because even after everything else, Hestia still thinks that she has a shot with him, and now Lili wants to throw her hat into the ring, so he'd have to sit down with them to talk it out for a bit.

When they got to the church, they didn't go to the living area that Bell and Hestia usually shared, though they did begin to fix up some of the things around the church, like clean up around the alter area and fix the doors, fix some of the windows, and so it looked a bit more like a church. "Hello, I'm Liliruca Arde," so now Lili was standing on the ground below Hestia, who stood above her on the stage area, with Bell himself standing off to the side and watched what was about to go down, though he was sure this is gonna turn into some form of a contest between them.

"So I guess you're the one I've heard so much about, Bell already filled me in on the entire story," Hestia commented while looking down on the one that tried to steal from him, and he could already tell where this was gonna go, his goddess was gonna say something possessive to Lili.

"While you two talk, I'll go make us some tea," Bell offered as he turned around to leave, before they had only two cups, but now since they were making more, he got another few extra since they might have company over, "thankfully I got some extra cups so nobody would be left out."

As he descended down into the basement area to get the beverage, he listened into what they were talking about, "now then," Hestia began, "there's something very important I want to ask you, so tell me, do you swear that you will never pull a stupid stunt like that ever again."

"Yes, I swear," Lili replied with hesitation, "master Bell… and you too… you have my undying allegiance, you see… he saved my life, so I won't betray him, no matter what happens," she proclaimed to the goddess quite easily, "also the guy is an absolute lunatic helps with that."

"Oh, I'll take you at your word on that, especially the lunatic part, but around here we use the term Psycho," Hestia commented easily, forgetting that he could and is listening in, "I'm gonna be honest with you, you should know that I don't like you one bit at the moment, and why would I. You stole and tried to play Bell for a fool, even after he caught you and told you that stealing from him won't work, and now you are in my house, you've sure got a lot of nerve, supporter, and what's with that mopey and confused look you've had ever since you walked in, probably guilty. Mainly because Bell's too nice and Psychotic right now to blame you for any of the rotten stuff you've done, that and somehow he doesn't care if you are yourself, but Bell's not stupid, and he used to be naïve, but since Bell's not gonna hold you responsible then I guess I'll have to."

There was a bit of a pause there from the speech she was giving, "I order you to look out for Bell, make sure he doesn't get taken in by any more swindlers that he'll confuse and take under his wing like you, and listen up because I'm not doing this for your sake, because one thing is clear. If no one is watching him… ah, he's only gonna act more crazy and let more people take advantage of his new nature, besides, the only one who can get rid of that guilt you're feeling is you, nobody else, you might say you've had a change of heart, but I want your actions to prove it. I'll allow you to pair up with him, but you had better keep an eye out," he thought that was as far as he should allow this to go, so he made as much noise as he could coming up the steps with heavy stomps and a rattling tea trey, allowing them enough time to know he's on his way up.

"Tea's ready," Bell called up before stepping through the door to see Hestia sitting on the stage to look directly at Lili, he sighed at the sight, "you do realize that I heard all that was said, right," he smiled a wicked grin when they both turned to look at him, "advanced hearing, remember?"

The two girls stared at him in horror when they realized what they did and had said, though Lili at least looked abashed enough for her just saying he was a lunatic, but Hestia stared at him in abject horror once she remembered she called him Psycho, crazy, lunatic, and Psychotic once. "Well, Lili now knows that goddess Hestia is a good person and will do her best to watch out for master Bell, lets all get along," she tried her best to at least look like a small girl, non-threatening, and hopefully cute enough that she won't be hit or punished by her party member.

Bell bonked both goddess and Prum on the head with the hand not carrying the tea trey, then decided that they should talk some more to themselves, "I have to go see Eina at the guild, lost her gift to me while fighting some Orcs," he told them as he walked out and left the two girls.

At the guild

Bell arrived to a rather average day at the guild, not like it was anything but busy any other day, but right now he didn't see Eina in her usual spot, "wait, uh… where is she," he looked at left and right before looking in the front corner behind him, "aw, there you are Eina," he almost paused. Sitting across from her was the sword princess herself, Ais Wallenstein, oh yeah, he didn't get the chance to thank her for coming to his aid with the Orcs the other day, "well, this is a good chance to kill two birds with one stone," he commented at the convenience of the two here together.

"Why would you need to kill birds with stones," Ais asked as she tilted her head, that did make the Psycho pause, was this what he was developing feelings for not too long ago, the him from before would call the expression cute, but now he just finds it annoying and a bit dumb.

"It's just an expression miss Ais," Eina added for the sword princess's benefit, said girl gave a nod of understanding before looking back to Bell, "what was it you needed to talk to both of us about," she asked him, "cause we also have something to say to you too," that sounded a bit ominous.

"Nothing much, for you Eina I wanted to apologize cause it seems like I lost the bracer you gave me thanks to some Orcs on Floor 10, and for you Ais, I wanted to say thank you for your assistance for getting them off of me so I could handle my supporter," Bell stated to the two.

"Oh, well that leaves things much easier than I first thought," Eina stated and then gestured for Ais to go ahead, and she brought out something wrapped in white cloth, when she unfolded it, it was his green bracer that had fallen off and he thought lost back in the dungeon on the 10th floor.

"I picked it up from, as you have mentioned, when I encountered you on the 10th floor fighting some Orcs, though I have no idea why you needed to handle your supporter, are things alright," the blonde asked with her blank face, the Psycho didn't want to tell her everything though.

"I also wanted to ask about your supporter, I found out she was from the Soma familia and that almost everyone from that familia were into shady dealings so that they could taste some wine," the half-elf receptionist stated as well, though her was more concern than curiosity he surmised.

"To be honest, right now things are good, that dealing she had was less about getting wine and more about leaving, however at the moment there is nobody alive that knows she is alive and a part of Soma, or at least those that do don't care, had to save her from some Killer Ants though. However, as things stand, she's less harmful to anyone now and knows not to try and scam me, that's all I care about, so as long as she remains herself, I don't really care what she does in her off time," Bell explained to them as much as he wanted, which wasn't much, but was something.

"Very well," Ais seems to have taken him at his word, "then I would also like to apologize on behalf of my familia," she stood up from her seat, "if I hadn't allowed that minotaur to escape, you would never have been injured that day, so I'm very sorry," she bowed a bit to him.

"Don't worry about it, the only one who might still care would be my goddess Hestia, but only slightly because thanks to that night, I have a better understanding of just what to expect in the dungeon, the unexpected," Bell commented without much care, and she nodded at that answer.

Both soon began to leave since their business was done with now, so that left with only Ais commenting, "seems like you've been working extremely hard, you got all the way to floor 10 in a very short time, that's really great," either it was said as conversation or she was impressed.

"True, but I've been down to floor 12 for a while now, floor 10 was just where we ran into each other," he commented back to her evenly as he crossed his arms, though, now would be the perfect chance to ask something, "though I have no way to tell how ready I truly am right now."

"Is that because nobody's ever taught you how to truly fight, right," she guessed right in a way, so he shook his head, "well… then what would you say to letting me teach you," there wasn't much to teach, his fighting was getting better thanks to the info from his skill, but extra help?

"Sure, I wouldn't mind some good sparing, have nobody that I can normally fight with anyway, might as well be someone who can take a hit," he commented before they decided on where to meet each other at in the morning, it wouldn't be anywhere anyone can see, just on the walls.

So Bell left Ais and headed for his favorite restaurant, Hostess of Fertility, it was later on in the day enough to where they should be about to open, and at the same time early enough that few should be there, so he arrived in time for nobody to really be busy besides scrubbing down tables. He waved as he was greeted by everyone, and then he noticed Syr, thankfully it was his Syr and not Horn, so he was able to walk on up and hug her with a spin, "WOW," she yelped when she was scooped up, not expecting his excited mood either when he openly kissed her cheek. "Someone's in a good mood, did you miss me that much," she asked as she leaned up and kissed his cheek as well, "or did you decide to leave Hestia and join me," he knew she was joking, and she knew that he knew she was joking, which is why all he did with that comment was chuckle.

"Hehehe, very funny, I just finally might have an opponent that can take a punch and can practice with, better yet it'll still count as me getting stronger," he announced and noticed a shocked look on her face, then a look that almost looked guilty, "what did you do, and will it hurt me badly?"

"No, well…," Syr answered that a bit too quickly and then backtracked just as fast, "I did have my top executive go into the dungeon to find a minotaur to train up and fight you for a challenge," his jaw went slack at that admission, his stats could potentially take one on if it wasn't trained.

"You," Bell had to pause to cool his head, he knew her personality and knew why she did it, didn't help though, "you are having your top guy train a minotaur, a level 2 monster, to fight me, a level 1 rookie," she nodded a bit, "sparing is one thing, this counts as attempted murder."

"No, all you have to do is defeat it," she pouted at him, doing her best to look cute, "you said you weren't being challenged, and I figured it'd help push you over the limits and into level 2 faster, plus I know that you can win, I wouldn't have had him do it if I didn't," that statement was true.

He thought about it, now he really would need to push himself if he wanted to fight the thing, "meaning I'm really gonna have to train hard with Ais in order to fight it, how long do I have," he looked down and noticed her pout at him when mentioning Ais, "you're not jealous, right?"

"Of course I'm a little bit jealous, the girl you used to have a crush on is the one you're training with, so it's only natural that I'll be at least a little bit jealous," she reasoned out to him, and while that was right, he also knew it was his duty as her chosen to reassure her in times like this.

"Don't worry," Bell hugged her tighter to himself and he could feel the blush on her cheeks, "you know you're the only girl for me," he kissed the top of her head, "not even the old me can deny the attraction I feel towards you, even while immune to charm magic I feel it, so I'm yours."

That clearly made her feel better since she hugged him tighter, he moved his right hand up to her head to stroke it, that turned out to be a mistake, because a new facet of his power made itself known, a silver wave of energy moved through Syr's head into Bell's hand, arm, and then head. His eyes flashed silver for a moment and his head was flooded with images, all playing faster like a quick loading of all memories, all the memories of Freya, her time as Freya and how she found Syr, who became Horn, and how both used the identity of Syr in their own way to live. He saw her life as a goddess in heaven, the battles she fought while also who all she slept with, that one was a bit disgusting, and hot, and he saw that since meeting him she never let anyone else in her, which was sweet, he saw her first child all the way down to the most recent as well. All of her emotions, the sights, the smells, the sounds, even her soul sight was all witnessed by him, and when all her knowledge was absorbed by him, he released his hold on her and stumbled back, gasping as she slumped to the ground panting as well, one look up and she knew.

"You," Syr started to say before she had to take a few more deep breaths at the experience she just had with him, also because that 'you' sounded more like Freya than Syr, so she had to compose herself, "you just saw everything," she was on the verge of tears, her Odr saw it all.

"Yeah, sorry about that, new aspect of my skill I guess," Bell wanted to say more, but knew that right now should be about other things, "and I'm sorry it took me so long to get here," he approached her again, this time embraced her while keeping his hands clear of her head. They stayed like that for a while, making sure that they were okay before standing back up and went to the back, with a quick shout to Mama Mia to let her know about a long break, so they headed deeper into the pub where the dressing room is so that they could talk things out.

When they got there they set on the bench in front of small closets where the individual waitresses keep their uniforms, "so," Syr started to say, "you know that I'm Freya now, well, you always knew I'm Freya but now you can't deny or pretend not to know now, what do you think?"

"About you being Freya, I did always know and didn't say anything, never really mattered to me much, like I said, as long as you remain true to yourself I don't care what you call yourself, as long as you'll call me yours, I don't really care," Bell told her honestly, he would never care.

"Good, thank you," Syr leaned forward and laid her head on his shoulder, "what was that skill, and how much did you see from the person you touched," she asked concerned, her life was long, very long, and she's not even going to ask what he thought of all the partners she's been with.

"Truthfully, I have no idea what it was, but I think I saw it all, everything you've done, thought, seen, heard, everything from your infinitely long life, all of it was seen, but strangely enough, the memories aren't bleeding into my own, they're like pictures that I can pull up, like book records. I'm not having a headache, no fatigue, and I'm even just as energized as when I was when I walked in, I think this skill just brought us a bit closer is all," he wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer to him, staying like that as long as they could be allowed.

Next Morning

The next morning found Bell stretching a bit as he waited for Ais to arrive, he was on the walls of Orario, looking out over the horizon and seeing the mountains aglow with morning mist, it was quite the nice site to look at while waiting for his sparing partner, who shouldn't be long now. As he waited he thought back to that one elf girl who clearly had a thing for Ais, it was a bit unhealthy, seemed to be at least, he just couldn't understand why people are so enamored with her, sure, he used to be, but that was clearly from admiration for her saving him, not love. Other people though, they must be too focused on her accomplishment to see past them, so they didn't see the airhead that he saw, the lack of common sense, and the lack of emotion, probably focusses too much on food and the dungeon to even be a good partner, besides for sparing.

"I'm here, thank you for waiting," the voice of said person came in as she approached him quietly, her steps were light, and the air wasn't carrying the sound, now that he thought about it, it's said her magic is air and wind based, so she might be subconsciously controlling the wind to be quiet.

"You ready to get started with the spar, or do you need a moment," Bell asked casually, not wanting to waste anymore time, the sword princess unsheathed her sword and put it against the wall while holding on to her scabbard, "going quite easy on me, since you're level five, fine."

Ais began while approaching him to see what his stance will be, and he stood there with ready muscles and his mind focused on her and what she'll do, when she got close enough, she spun to her left and sent a round house heal kick for his left cheek, he only barely ducked in time. Bell shot forward within the duck sent a right fist for her face in response, she simply blocked it with a left forearm, before sending a thrust his way with the scabbard, which he didn't bother to block and only barely dodged it by moving his head to the left, so it went right by his right cheek. He could still feel the wind that rushed by from the force of the strike, so with a flick of the wrist he brought out his own blade, in his left hand, and swiped to the side with it, but it was blocked by her scabbard, but he didn't let that end the attack, he was a Psycho after all.

Bell did a quick standing bicycle kick that did nothing but dirty her clothes, she barely had to flex her ability as he sent out a left-handed jab for her midsection, though he did get the satisfaction that her brows knit together in what might have been a grimace, though since she forgot it. The it in question being the Psycho Silverizer that he transferred to his right hand just before he sent that jab out, and now that same blade was coming from his lower right and moving upward, many would think she barely had time to dodge, but he could tell that she just casually blocked it. So he did something she didn't expect to maybe get a leg up, he backed up and stuck his hand out, she might have assumed that he'd just use magic, she looked like she was preparing to as well, then he blinked out of existence for a moment and appeared behind her, she has good instincts. Ais sensed him behind her and turned in a split second for a swing of her right foot in another roundhouse kick, but this time the Psycho had to put up his forearm to block the attack, it only helped that it saved his face from getting injured, did nothing to help with the impact.

When the blow came, Bell was forced to his left and slid back to the banister overlooking the outside world, but he was more or less okay, other than when he looked down to find that his hand was just dangling from his wrist, it was connected, but it was clearly dislocated now. Ais looked on at what she had done and when he looked up he could see that she was shocked at the state of his wrist, she clearly felt guilty, up until he grabbed said hand and with a swift motion, put the hand back onto the dislocated area and relocated the appendage. With a wave of his hands to make sure it was able to continue, Bell brought back out his Psycho Silverizer and then turned to her with a grin, "this is going to be fun," he hadn't had a challenge like this in a while, and he was sure that if he continued to fight her, he'd get even stronger.

This time, when Bell charged at Ais, he had a plan, he quickly stepped and turned to his left as he approached, turning so his right hand could come up, to attack her face, she reacted as he thought and turned to the right and blocked the blade and brought it down with her scabbard. With the weapons locked, he used this chance to reach out with his left hand and went for her throat, to which she quickly reacted and grabbed his left hand and brought it down as to where the other hands were, which was his plan, caused he used that force to cartwheel around her. Ais didn't know why he would do that by the look on her face, but didn't realize that this took her off balance as well and made her start to do a cartwheel as well, the only difference was that since he was prepared and she wasn't, she caused herself to trip and toll onto the ground.

Ais quickly recovered though but was too late since Bell was agile too and had planned on this, so he had his sword pointed right at her neck, with his finger hovering over the trigger, "that was fun," he commented before he saw a narrow of her eyes and a flash of her scabbard, then black.

He woke up on the ground with Ais not far away from him, sitting down with her back to the railings, her hands going over his Psycho Silverizer with fascination, "this is a unique weapon that you have," she commented when she noticed that he was now awake, and then he grinned.

"Oh, you haven't seen all that it can do," Bell quickly flicked his wrist and the weapon reappeared in his hands, with a flash of hard light, he was up and poised to strike at Ais again, this time with a thrust, Ais had time to sigh before she brought out her scabbard again and the two continued.

Later on in the dungeon, Bell and Lili were both on floor 10 again and looking for enemies, "so master Bell, how far are we going down this time," Lili asked him, he was planning on going to the limit of what he was allowed and go to floor 12 since he couldn't legally go past there yet.

"To the 12th floor, the limit of what we're allowed to, this should help you get your own room in an inn and some extra cash for some good food afterwards," he casually stated as they continued across the white field, every day they were getting stronger, and richer by the day as well.

"By the way," as they walked, she started to speak up about something, "we haven't fought anything yet, so why do you look like you got beat up," aw, she noticed the dirt and impact points of where he had got beaten by Ais, after he got her to a point to where she didn't hold back.

"Training with Ais Wallenstein, since the monsters here aren't giving me a challenge anymore, need something to give me a better workout," and what a workout it was, he actually got sore, but not enough to impact his movements in the dungeon, even when Imps just appeared now. Imps were small monsters that attack in a group and use tactics, this group has about 20 or so in the group, not enough to cause him distress, especially when he knew just how to fight crowds, somehow, but he knew that staying still just invited them to come and gang up on him.

So Bell charged for the one in front of him and fired a Dark Vortex right behind him, and upon reaching the lead Imp, used his Psycho Silverizer to bisect it, at the shoulder, then went to the right and decapitated another, with another one being shot from where Lili was a ways off. There was one that tried to jump for him, but swiftly turned and roundhouse kicked it away while stabbing out to the left and stabbed it in the head, he didn't even have to turn to the ones coming his way as he shot out his left hand and sent a Dark Vortex their way to kill some of them. As he was killing them left and right a small pack of Orcs showed up as well, it looked like they were gonna have a good and heavy haul this time, with a grin he charged in with his blade a glow and his hand outstretched for him to use his Dark Vortex as well.

A Week Later

The same pattern continued for about a week, Bell would go and train with Ais in the morning with Ais, then go to the dungeon with Lili, and finally head to the Hostess of Fertility to hang out with Syr until it was time to go home and helped Hestia with dinner for the two of them. Sometimes Ais would invite him to eat with her after they trained, but he chose not to and left with a flash of hard light, but other than the few times they talked about ways to survive in the dungeon, they didn't talk much and just fought, though he was learning a lot from her. Though not as much as he learned from his skill, which he was understanding more and more, that mind power he obtained with Syr, was able to let him absorb a person's full memories and feelings, allowing him to access them at any time, but never bleed into his own being. All of this training did wonders for him, his stats have never been as high as it has been right now, and with the event that Syr had planned for him today, it was time for him to put to the test all that he's gained and level up, all within the span of a little over a month.

For some reason, he could level up now, if he did something big enough for the level up to occur, being beaten time and again by Ais wasn't qualifying, but his level up should be soon when he begins to fight the Minotaur that Syr had set up for him to fight, which will be a touch fight. Unlike with Ais, this Minotaur is going to be actively trying to kill him while Freya was going to be watching, and it would be his Freya and not Horn, so this will be a fight that will put all his powers and technique on the line, though he would be lying if he said he wasn't nervous. Though he'll fight it, not to prove anything to anyone, not because he likes fighting, though he does, he'll fight it to become more powerful, he'll fight it because that is how he'll advance, and fighting it will just be another step into the world of a higher level of fighting and soon, face everything.

So right now, Bell was walking through the 9th floor of the dungeon with Lili, who was only going to be there as a support and not get involved much, if the monster came for her, she was to run as quickly as she could away from said monster and give him time to get between the two. He informed her of what will happen, that he had a friend who is high level train and unleash a Minotaur for him to fight and finally level up, at first she was worried he was sick in the head, but then remembered the words he always used and called him a battle loving Psycho. In the end Lili had no choice but to go along with it and trust in his strength, if he did this it would just prove to be such a big accomplishment that of course he would level up, so she didn't have that much of a problem with it if he could actually follow through and kill the monster.

It wasn't until Bell felt the sense of someone watching him that he knew that the show was about to start, and soon the growling snarl of the monster of the hour came from one direction, right in front of them, the thing was red, big, red, and only had one horn, carrying one of Ottar's swords. With glowing eyes focused on them it clumsily lumbered towards them, so Lili followed the plan and retreated back to behind some rocks, and braced for the battle that was about to take place, and since Bell knew what this fight was going to entail, chose not to make too light of the fight.

"So let's go," he brought his left hand out in front of him and with a flick of his wrist, his Psycho Silverizer was out as well, he swiftly brought it up to point at the incoming monster, "this time you die," it was strange, he was excited, he'd get to kill what really started him on this journey.

Bell charged forward in his stance and shot a Dark Vortex for the monster, it was just pushed back a bit before the Minotaur charged in, but the Psycho got to it first and spun to its right to avoid the horn that wasn't broken strike at its shoulder, which bounced off of the bigger monster. Which swiped at him with the greatsword it held onto, he barely leaned back in time to dodge and backflipped away before charging in again swiping at the stomach of the beast which again bounced off, so nothing short of a powered slice would probably break through the tough hide. Yet the Minotaur was nothing if not both strong and fast, so it sent out a punch with hand that held the greatsword, any other day and he'd dodge, but this time was not meant to be, so the only thing he could do was raise his left hand to brace himself for the impact, and oh the impact.

Bell was sent flying to the right, he only stopped once he hit the wall, the wall that broke a bit at the impact, the dust and debris didn't last long though, it was swept away as he stepped out of the impact, normally that would knock out other adventurers, but it only tore off his armor. It wasn't like he was overly attached to the armor, in fact, it was more to the point that it was just a place holder until he could unlock his true armor, but at the moment he was defenseless against this thing, though it might be a boon more than a hinderance if he can move better. However he had to check something and brought back up his Psycho Silverizer and fired a few shots of condensed energy for the monster, it did as much damage as his Dark Vortex, which just seemed to piss off the monster even more, so the Minotaur decided to charge at him.

Not one to stand around, Bell charged in as well, maybe they can match strength now, so when the monster brought down his greatsword, he brought up his blade to stop the apposing blade, it just barely stopped before it reached his shoulder, then the thing pulled back to swing again. The skill wasn't great and so the swing was wider than necessary, leaving him with ample time to dodge with a roll and past its right guard as it swung down and begin shotting lightning through his left hand and try and cook the monster, the only thing it did was making the creature slow. The electrical current was enough to hamper the movement, but not by much, which fueled the monster's rage and made it swing at him wildly now, he did his best to dodge and at the same time parry every swing, until it brought down the blade from overhead with two hands.

This caused an explosion of the ground and sent him and debris flying, but he quickly recovered with a roll, quickly stepping back the split second he noticed an incoming foot from the beast coming for him, with the step back he dodged before thrusting upwards, towards its throat. Even the direct attack only bounced off of its skin and did nothing, forcing him to dodge with a bend backwards as the left horn came into play and he uppercut kicked the Minotaur's head as he used the force of his bend backwards to propel himself back and get some distance from it. However it didn't let him and kept chasing after him, learning, using wild slashes to keep him on his toes as it sent swipe and slash after swipe and slash for him, until eventually slamming the greatsword into the ground, the dust didn't blind him for but a moment and that was all it needed.

With a roar the Minotaur thrust out its head with the left unbroken horn in perfect position and only gave Bell enough time to bring his left forearm up, the horn quickly impaled the appendage and raised its head, not even giving him the time to register anything but the pain as it moved. For a moment he was behind the monster with his arm still attached to the horn, right before the monster used all its might and weight to slam forward, bringing him with it and forcing him to be slammed into the ground roll away from the beast that just got a leg up on him in the fight. He stopped a few meters away from it and quickly got to at least one knee, seeing that the beast was also taking a moment to catch its breath as well, but he could barely feel his left arm, barely make a fist with any weight, yet his time was up as the monster stopped its break.

Before either beast or Psycho could move anymore though, a new figure stepped in, it was the golden-haired Ais who just now arrived and stood in front of the kneeling Psycho, "are you all right," she asked not taking her eyes off of the monster, "you did well, but I'll save you now."

As she reached for her sword, Bell stopped her with a left hand on her forearm, "not happening girl, this is just now getting good," he grinned like a mad man as he stepped past her, this wasn't going to be her accomplishment, not her saving him, he didn't care if she tried, she'd fail at it. It seemed him and the monster was gaining an audience, cause more people showed up behind him, more people to see him kill this Minotaur, "watch this you first-rate trickster cocksuckers, I'm gonna show you to watch the people at your feet, cause they can come in for the kill."

Throwing caution to the wind, ironically, Bell charged into the fight against the Minotaur, not daring to look back as the beast also started to fight him too, swinging the greatsword down before having to deviate as his Psycho Silverizer parried the descending blade to the side. However, since the young Psycho was mad with battle, he did something nobody expected, with the force of the parry, it helped propel him up and with a cocked back fist, he threw it out and punched the monster in the face, but that isn't what shocked him, it was what was covering it. Some time between him charging back in and punching the thing, his arm had gained a gauntlet, it was a black gloved with white bracer gauntlet, on the back of the hand it had there was four silver knuckle dots and three middle hand dots, with a glance it could be seen they were metal. Yet that wasn't the most surprising part of the punch, it was the fact that the landing punch caused the monster he was facing to actually be sent skidding back a foot at least by the force of it, giving enough time for him to check his gauntlet again and see three silver stripes on the forearm.

With a glance, Bell looked over and saw on his other hand the same gloved gauntlet, meaning the armor wasn't just defensive but also added to his strength, so this is what it really took, fighting for his life against an opponent that would kill him and had the means to do it, oh what fun. Meaning the more he fought, the more the armor would come out, so with that in mind he charged for the Minotaur again, who must have also sensed the danger that it was in and began to fight harder to also stay alive and to kill him, and used all that it knew to do just that. It was gaining speed and technique the more they fought, and used it with much more controlled and still wild sings, all aiming for him and his vitals, but he didn't make it easy for the thing and kept dodging or parrying the swings, with more of his blade now showing signs of doing damage.

It didn't take long for Bell to try one move and jump up, he didn't just jump up for no reason, he jumped to avoid the incoming overhead sing for him that he just barely missed, but upon jumping, he flipped in mid-air and as if gliding backflipped while going up and over its head. Upon reaching the apex of the jump, he used the Minotaur's own head to turn with only his left and as he descended down behind the thing, swiped from left to right with his Psycho Silverizer and slashed at it, it didn't do much damage, but it did make the thing angry with the sting.

It also gave him time to study the new weight that he felt on his lower body, he was now wearing a pair of boots that went up into shin guards, on the sides of those shin guards was the same three silver marks as on his gauntlets, this time on the outside of his calves. His pants were all black, but these pants seemed hard as steel and still flexed around his legs like a second skin, his crotch was also covered, silver wrappings around it into a belt that formed a bat wing pattern, and in the middle was a gold N encircled within a gold ring, the N spiked. Upon this notice was also his upper arms, his biceps having the same black material on it, with the upper most part having more padding than the rest, with two silver orbs protruding from the fabric, like with his pants, these sleeves were like a second skin for him as he moved with ease.

Bell grinned as he shot both his hands out and fired both his Psycho Silverizer and a Dark Vortex from his hands, both landed with a small explosion since they mixed together, but that didn't stop either of the combatants, so they kept charging in, with neither willing to give into the other. The Psycho slicing with his Psycho Silverizer while the Minotaur brought down its borrowed greatsword, neither stopped striking at the other one, but now he was able to block with his limbs and not receive much damage, but that didn't get them anywhere at the moment. The stalemate was soon to hit a tipping point, and that tipping point came when the monster tried to slam down the greatsword with both hands again, this time fully blocked by the young Psycho with his own blade, the force now being greater and the weight coming down to almost his shoulder.

Yet, the pain he was expecting never came, instead a new sound range, the sound of metal, meaning he had a new weapon, so Bell used the stopped greatsword weight and shoved to the left, forcing the blade off of his new shoulder armor before a side kick forced the beast back. Enough to let him get a glimpse of his new chestplate, it was as form fitting as the rest of his armor, this time though his stomach and chest were framed in a sleek silver, that went up to his shoulders and stretched out in another bat winged design that added to the aesthetic. His stomach and chest itself was covered in the black armor material, with his stomach having a representation indent for each of his abs, each pointed with a silver protruding ball, and his collar a gold similar material that gave him extra protection, and a black neck liner too.

Bell felt and looked amazing now, he could feel his full power now, feel how his power wasn't contained, and it showed when he charged again, this time able to catch a glimpse of an opening when the Minotaur came in for another powerful downward swing with his greatsword. With a turn and a thrust, he finally pierced the hide of the monster and into its inner forearm, and making sure to make the arm useless to grip anything, with a twist the beast roared in pain before he leapt back to avoid the giant fist that was swinging down for him not a moment before. The monster got back up but couldn't hold the greatsword anymore and it slipped from its hand, but with a guttural roar of defiance, when he went in for another attack, it slammed it's right arm into the ground to destroy some the rock and create some distance from him.

That didn't matter for the Psycho anymore, as it was time to end this monster, with another Dark Vortex sent ahead of him, this time knocking the Minotaur back quite a few meters, Bell charged, not bothering to pick up the discarded greatsword, his own Psycho Silverizer would be enough. Quickly he got into the monster's bubble and slashed diagonally across its stomach, when it went for a wild blind left jab, he used the flat of his blade to block it and knock it away, before beginning to slice at the thing some more, his blade becoming coated in the monster's blood. With a wild throw of its head, it managed to knock into his right gauntlet and toss him away a bit and let it back up some as well, both were left panting while waiting for what the other one would do, but somehow knowing the next bout was going to finally decide how to end the fight.

With another roar the Minotaur crouched down onto all fours to charge at him with its only usable asset right now, its horn, meanwhile Bell noticed a subtle shift over his vision, but didn't care at the moment as pointed his Psycho Silverizer at the raging bull monster ready to charge at him. Then they both charged, the monster going for an impalement while he was going for his 'power move', charging his blade with the power he had, it glowed with a blue light that just added to the dungeon walls they were in, neither willing to lose to the other, both wanting to kill the other one. When they were upon the other one, the monster made a mistake and pushed out its horn, but because of the shape, the Psycho just adjusted and stepped to the left just in time to not take the hit, and swung up in a flash, and now the bull monster had no more horns to use anymore.

With a backflip, Bell kicked the Minotaur in the jaw again, this time forcing the monster to straighten all the way up and gave him enough time to land and jump up, with a shout of, "Psycho Silverizer," a large flash of pale blue energy sliced through the level 2 monster. It took a moment, but when the monster fell back, the Psycho turned and stood with his right arm bent up at a right angle and his left bent to have his right elbow rest on his left hand, that was the ending move as the monster hit the ground exploded into a shower of silver dust around him.

It was finally over, his toughest fight yet, and he won, he breathed a sigh of relief as he began walking over to the people that were watching the fight, some of the Loki familia, he saw Ais, Bete, Finn, Riveria, Tione, and Tiona, with Lili there standing in front to watch in the front row. None of them said a word as he began to walk past them, the only one moving other than him was a shocked Lili that just walked normally to collect both the magical stone and the Minotaur horn that was left, he didn't care about the other people though, he only cared about one thing.

That night

When Bell got home, it was too the shocked Hestia who looked at him with a bit of fear, "what's wrong Hestia, you do know that it's me, right," he asked her and she pointed towards a mirror, surprisingly he hadn't ran into one on his way here, but oh well, so stood in front of it. The sight shocked him as well, he had on a helmet, not just any helmet though, this helmet was mostly silver in color, wrapping around his head snugly, with sharp points at the top to form another bat wing design that added more to the look, over part of the eyes were eyelids as well. The parts that stuck out though were the mouth, and the eyes, the forehead was just a black space, but the eyes were a deep black that looked to hold nothing, not a spec of what might lay beneath them, and the mouth was a rectangular shape, with the design making it look like a grin. It was with a shock that it reminded him of his own new grin that crept on his face when he was about to battle or was enjoying himself too much, and when he stepped back, he could view his full armor, none of it hampered his ability to move, and everything now just felt complete.

"Bell, what the hell, you manifested your armor," Hestia herself couldn't believe it from the tone she used, "but is that helmet hindering your ability to see at all," when she asked that he realized something, that flash of something before the final clash, that was his helmet appearing.

"No, just normal regular vision, I'm not being hindered by any of the armor," Bell stated as he moved his shoulders some, and on instinct, put his hand out in front of him and then put it to his face, in a flash of silver, he was in his normal everyday clothes, not a piece of armor in sight.

"That is so cool, so what happened to let you finally reach your armor," she asked and then he told her all that he could, minus a few key details, but he told her the gist of what happened, "well then, what are you waiting for, strip and let me update your status," she ordered him.

He got on the bed without a shirt on and let her get on top like usual and got into his status to begin updating it, it wasn't long before everything was ready, but there was one thing he didn't know about, he had to choose between 'Abnormal Resistance', 'Hunter', or 'Luck', "I choose luck."

"Good choice, now to just implement it," it took a moment or two, but then Hestia was done, he knew she was done when she yelled out, "WHAT IN THE ABSOLUTE HELL," nearly turning him deaf when he could hear more than just a dull hum again, he turned and she was ready to show it.

In all honesty, Bell knew why Hestia screamed now, the only real reason to scream for this was the fact that he leveled up and all his stats are not zeroed out like they should be, instead they all started at rank H at level 100, he couldn't tell if this was because of his skill or his dame luck.
