Chapter 12: What if he doesn't forgive me?

The search for Dean was hard. On the drive to finding out where he may be Sam had his phone out looking to see if his brother had his location services on. He had installed a location app on Dean's phone on the way to the motel they were going to stay after he picked them up at his apartment. He had asked Dean if he could hold it but did not give a reason and may have held on to it until it had finally finished downloading. It was turned off. They had looked everywhere as in all over.

With the way things had been left off between the brothers, Sam and Jessica even searched every bar within a 5-mile radius. Who knew what Dean would do in his state of mind right now. When they got back into the stranger's car who they soon learned on the way name was Marvin, they hit the road yet again. Marvin began talking about his own brother further making Sam want to find his brother without any delay.

"...My little brother and I had the best relationship any two siblings could have. He was like my best friend, but he became the prankster of the family, and that is what ruined our relationship. You see, the last prank he pulled on me before he died in a car accident I caused, was not pretty and I regret the fight we had every day."

"What happened?" Sam asked, noticing how his hand tightened around the wheel. "Never mind, you don't have to tell me-"

"No! No, I have to tell you since it might help you save your brother's life," he responded letting his grip loosen on the wheel. "He broke something of mine that could have been replaced and I yelled at him, said a few things that I cannot take back. The point is don't take your brother for granted ever. I should have realized sooner it could have been replaced but I was so mad, and it caused him to get in a car accident. He died on impact."

"I'm sorry," Sam said with remorse in his tone. "Look, it will probably be days before we find him. Time, I do not think you have."

"I really do not mind at all. I travel in my car nowadays and I want to see how this plays out."

Sam started to say something else but was cut off by Jessica who spoke up. "Thank you, sir."

"None of that sir stuff. I told you my name is Marvin."

Jessica leaned forward from the backseat and smiled at him. "Okay. Thank you, Marvin. This is nice of you."

Daylight turned into darkness as they continued driving so they settled with getting two motel rooms even though all Sam wanted to do was find his brother. Jessica somehow convinced him he was not going to be any good to Dean like he was. Marvin being the nice person he is paid for the rooms.

When Sam and Jessica were settled in the room next door to Marvin, they got in bed and cuddled before letting sleep claim them. It was quiet until she felt tears on the back of her shoulder where his lips were pressed against the skin there.

She turned around in his arms and held his face wiping the tears away. "Hey, what's wrong?"

"What if he doesn't forgive me? I don't know what I would do if he doesn't."

"Baby, look at me," She responds, holding his cheeks, noticing he was looking everywhere but her, but she waited for his wet eyes to meet hers. "I'll be straight with you, Sam, you said some very hurtful things to him, but I also know he loves and adores you. Believe me when I say that. I know that from hanging out with him at the mall you dropped us at. You know you were the topic of discussion that entire day and he even gave me the big brother speech. I don't think he would do that if he did not love you."

"I hope you're right cause I would not forgive me."

"I'm always right," she said as she wiped away more stray tears from his face looking into his hopeful eyes and leaned in to give him a kiss. "Everything is going to be fine. Just you wait and see."

He kissed her back appreciatively. "What would I do without you?"

She said nothing knowing he already knew her response from a while back but continued to kiss him and they made out most of the night before cuddling again since they could not really do anything since Marvin was in the room next door.

Author's note: Sorry for such a long wait for my next update. I really am! I have not got to read or do anything for this website or myself that I wanted to do because of life in general and the Christmas holiday coming up. This is my first Christmas without my dad or uncle who both passed away a year ago so now it is just my mom, me, and the rest of my family. I have been sad, but I have been powering through and not showing it. Anyway, hope you enjoyed this chapter. Be sure to review, favorite, and or follow! I'm also sorry if I put you through another long wait but the good thing is this will not go incomplete. I started it so I'm going to finish what I started.
