Lake of tears (night time
We now see soldeen swiming twoards and trying to eat leif but he threw his bag into soldeens mouth. This had caused soldeen to thrash causing liefs sword and cal to fall off Lief grabbed his sword and cal got on his feet and they ran to the group. "Come on lief and cal" jasmine shouted " climb up the rocks" lief shouted and they all did. Once they were safe Cal said "release" and return to his usual attire.
They are all seen sitting on the stoney edge of the like the moon came into view. Half of their food is gone "we onky have s few left and their covered in mud" Barda said while holding a nut "hey its beats starving" cal said while he ate one so did everyone else. "Lief are you absolutely sure that gem is hidden here" and he replied"ya the belt isnt hot anymore but it's still warm,it's gotta be somewhere in or around the lake" barda replied"there must be some way for us to get that gem without going into the water i just don't know what it is" barda said. "If if we don't find a way, we'll end up fish food" cal said and mansi drew in the dirt with a stick"hold on i think manis is saying we can go to ralidian and get what we need to drain the lake" Lief objected "but that would take months besides even if we have that stuff soldeen would never let us do that i'm going to have to go into the water and get that gem".
"What if manus and i could lure soldeen to one side of the lake" jasmine said "while enter the water on the other side it could work" lief said "you'd be easy prey" barda said "soldeen could swallow you up like a grape" cal finished fili and Jasmine sighed "never mind". Everyone sat poundering what their next move is lief asked "um manus can you play your flute for us something that'll cheer us up" and he got up on the rock ledge with his flute with kree by his side. "Your asking him to play his flute now?" Barda said "i have a feeling it will clear our minds a bit" lief said"music soothes the savage beast" cal said.
Manus had begun playing the flute the song is soothing and seemed to lifts every one's spirits. They all closed their eyes and listened the music rose in lilting waves filling the dead air with beauty the flute spoke of crystal clear water trickling in the cool shade of a lush forest, of birds singing in leafy green tree tops, of children playing and friends laughing,of flowers lifting their faces to the sun manis's melody did exactly what lief asked for.
'Maybe the topaz can help' lief thought and he touched it 'the topaz is strongest during the time of a full moon' he thought "its full now but i don't feel its power" he said ' i wonder what they ment by strongest'. Suddenly they her a noise and saw soldeen head popping out of the lake lief said soldeen "don't stop keep playing play ot now" soldeen said and thats what manus did. This song was soothing to soldeen he closed his eyes " why have you come to this fobbiden place?" Soldeen asked.
Manus stopped flute plsying "do not stop!" Soldeen shouted "do not stop unless i say so" and manus kept playing". Soldeen said "answer me do not try to lie for i will know if you do" and then lief spoke "we came here because were looking for an important gem we now it's somewhere in this lake and we won't leave without it". "A gem?" Soldeen said "it was dropped from the sky somwhere around this lake, it probably happened about sixteen years ago and we need to find it now no matter what" lief said "I know about the gem" soldeen said "do you know where it is?" Lief asked "i have it" he said everyone gasped. "It is my prize the only thing in this bitter and lonely place that comforts me in my misery do you think i would let you take it for nothing?" Soldeen said "so what is it you want in return soldeen" lief asked " name your price if its within our power we'll get it for you" barda said.
Soldeen then started laughing showing his sharp teeth causing manus to stop playing his flute " very well i will give you the gem in return for a friend, give the little man to me i like his face and the music he makes" soldeen said "theirs no way" lief objected. "He will come into the lake with me and sit upon the weeping stone, he will play to me thru the endless days, the lonely nights he will ease my pain for as long as he lives" soldeen said manus came down from the stone edge lief said his name. Barda placed his hands on manis's shoulders "no wait manus you cant" he spoke manus tired to struggle out of grip "clearly the ralid wishes to join me leave him let him come" soldeen said "you got to be kiding its not like he wants to go" jasmine said. "Let me have him or i will destroy the rest of you and take him any way!" Soldeen said and cal placed his left had close to the silver dial to his left "you can try but I wouldn't press your luck manus aint going with you" cal said. "Go ahead and try you overgrown catfish" lief shouted and the caused soldeen to lunged at lief hitting him and causeing lief air born.
"No lief" barda shouted and Lief grabbed one of soldeens wiskers and pulled out his sword pointed it at soldeens eye "listen up were not letting you have our friend he's already lived five years as a slave and he's finally free now,he's here because of us so don't think that we're gonna give him up your never going to have him". Suddenly the topaz on liefs belt began to shine "your willing to throw away everything for that man and that man is willing to do the same for you I remember a time when i to long ago so long ago" soldeen said while his body glowed. "Whats going on" jasmine said and cal answered "its the topaz can't you tell by the glow?". "Something is happening to me my heart feels pure and my mind is burning clearing" soldeen said "the topaz the moon the light from the full moon strengthens the topaz". "I can see pictures from another time and place that's" soldeen said.
In his vision we see a beautiful woman with long green hair,yellow skin,purple and white clothing and a black neck band. She has blue eyes then suddenly some giant shadow force loomed over her and we see a man of the same skin long hair and grey eye saying something. "What have you done to me what kind of spell have you put me under?" Soldeen said "it's not a spell the topaz will only show you whats true, soldeen im sure its hard for you to believe but what you just saw was real". "Ah i feel a great weight lifted from my heart" soldeen said tge shining stoped"what is it that you want with me?" Soldeen asked. "We just want the gem please help us let manis go and give us the gem for the sake of what you once were soldeen, for the sake of everything that you have loved and lost in the past" lief said.
"Hm as you wish" soldeen said and everyone watched as soldeen carried leif to the weeping rock in the middle of the lake. They have arrived and Lief started to climb to the hands of the statue on it a pink gem"that's what you are looking for isnt it?" Soldeen asked. "A pink gem?, I don't remember any of the seven gems described in the belt of deltora as being pink" lief thought this was strange but the belt around his waist was so warm that this clearly had to be one of the seven gems but why was it this color?
"What's takeing you so long whats wrong?" Soldeen asked "nothing just a second" lief replied and he grabbed the gem. "Look its lief he's coming back" jasmine said lief was on soldeens right side holding the pink gem in his right hand "and look hes got the gem in his hand but somethings not right he doesn't look the least bit excited about it" jasmine said with barda humming."Ya from the looks of it the gems pink" cal said 'wait pink oh no' he thought.
'The emerald is green,the amethyst is purple,the lapis lazuli is deep blue with silver dots like stars,the opal is all colors of the rainbow,the diamond is clear as ice and the ruby is red the ruby!' Lief thought. The words from the belt of deltora leaped into liefs mind the great ruby symbol of happiness red as blood glows pale in the presence of evil or when misfortune threatens. Lief said "the ruby is just pale soldeen be careful there must be something evil near by" and suddenly the night sky turned red and lightning formed in the sky and struck right in front of lief and soldeen.
This had caused the water to shoot up nocking back lief and soldeen "what's that!?" Jasmine said "major danger and i think i know who it is" cal shouted. Laughter of terror was heard"welcome to my beautiful garden i am the sorceress thaegen"she said she wore a black skin tight dress with a arrow design on chest and diamond bellybutton hole design,long grey hair,green skin,blue on the lips and finger nails and three pink diamonds one on the chest two for the ears and on her right hand pinky finger a green red with an eye engraving.
Night time (red cause of theagen)
Lief said"sorceress theagan!" she stood their in the air with her left hand on her hip. Theagen began chanting saying her name blasted a spell from her right hand hitting soldern face on causing lief to fall into the water and the ruby landing next to the weeping stone in the water. Lief poped out and thaegan got behind him"foolish little boy it was by sheer chance that you managed to set my slave bird free did you really think it be that easy this time but even worse is what you've done to my beautiful children jin and jod you have angered me child" she said when two spirit orbs with flame tops showed up.
Theagen chanted another spell blasting lief out of the water and skiding to the others. Then she looked at soldeen by the weeping rock saying"let that be a lesson soldeen you will be my save for ever". "Hey lief" jasmine said as she,barda and cal ran towards him"im ok" lief said "hang in there" manis stood on the lake edge holding his flute grunted in upset because he don't know how to help.
"Can you stand?" Barda asked "oh your all so pathetic now you are where you belong at my feet crawling in the mud" thaegen said "thats enough!" Barda said as he drew his sword. He tried to strike her but was stopped by a force field"ah is somebody getting a little stress"theagen said blasting him away. "The only one who is pathetic is you theagen" cal spoke "well if it isnt cal you should have joined us when you had the chance"she said then kree showed up cawing"well look at that a tastey raven decidedto join the fun I'll be sure to keep you for dinner" theagen said.
"My friends not on the menu" jasmine said as she drew her dagger having the same effect barda did. "No jasmine" lief shouted theagen laughed he got up drew his sword'one drop just one drop this is the only way to defeat her if she sheds a drop of blood' lief thought and said "I got a break through her shield" and theagen blasted him jasmine called his name only for everyone to see liefs cloak saved him. "A magic cloak thats a fancy toy for such a little boy" theagen said as jasmine said his name and came to his side.
Then theagen launched a magic beam grabbing and covering cals mouth while pulling him close to her "jin and jod have told me what had happened when you battled them you can't transform unless you say the word" theagen said. But to her surprise cal smiled and lifted up his hands suddenly change into his creature claw form and broke theagens spell hold over his mouth "how did you do that?" Theagen said.
Cal said"because I leveled up from the battle with jin and jod i no longer need the word to change into my creature form, but that's not the only new technique I got when I battle two of your kids" he then turned the dial on his left side to the left. "For the doom of terror nightlight it is mine to command" he said and suddenly silver armor pieces showed covering his arms,legs,chest and on his head the armor helmet on his head had three horns and a slid that covered his eyes he then broke out of theagens spell hold. Then he reached out both hands and summoned his weapons for his right hand a sword not too small and not too medium with an edge on blade tip and downward three spikes handle surrounded by a purple bellowing aura, for the left hand and not too small and not too medium circle shield silvery with a small spear spike pokeing in the center.
Theagen and everyone was shocked by this"do you really think those new toys can stop me?" Theagen said "no but they can hurt you" he charged at her when she spell blasted him the shield blocked it and cal slashed her force field. Instead of having the same effect before he was pushed away the force field and theagen felt a little more weak "what did you do to me!?"Theagen shouted. "Well if you want to know, this blade is surrounded by a vampiric aura which causes extra damage, not only that when it sliced living creatures or something like a force field of magic it takes a half of their energy away but to make sure the energy doesn't go to waste it gets transferred to me" cal said this made theagen very angry.
Lief says"jasmine ive got it i figured out how to defeat thaegen" this surprised jasmine"every time she casts a spell just drop her magic shield that's our only chance to get hit at her". Theagan then said "what do you say we put an end to this right now" just as she was about to cast another spell manus started to play the flute"a little ralid man what do you hope to achieve by playing that pathetic melody" she said but manus kept playing. "First of all im going to get her attention and then you throw your knife" lief said to jasmine "hey stop it ill curse you to never play that flute ever again" theagen said "don't hold your breath you pathetic creature" cal said and charged at her.
"Lets go" lief shouted charging forward with jasmine and fili while kree flew up away lief shouted theagens name she was chanting a spell attack lief said jasmines name she threw a knife through theagens force field. The sorceress blasted lief jasmine called his name and cal stopped charging because he saw one of his friends hurt their plan failed theagen had the knife in her left hand and crushed it "oh that's it the fun and games are over you will all turn into hideous creatures take your last breath of fresh air after this you'll wiggle and squirm in slime forever" theagen said while lifting her right hand up chanting a attack spell.
Just as sorceress theagen was about to launch a spell attack kree flew right twoards thaegen's right hand and struck it with his beak. The area had return to its usual color the sun was about to rise everyone was surprised jasmine said "oh no" thaegen saw kree fly away and then a drop of blood fell from her hand "this can't be no it's impossible" theagen said when a drop of her blood burnt up and cal replied"oh it is you're getting what you deserve theagen". The evil sorceress scream she twist and turns into a black sickly looking tree the spirits of jin and Jod flew away and glow shined behind causing the water of the lake to form a giant wave. "We've got to run"jasmine said with her,lief and cal running away the tree the sorcerers transformed into disintegrated after the wave crushed the spot.
(Day time) just as the sunrise
We see soldeen and a lot fish gasping and flailing when suddenly soldeen turn into the man he saw in his vision. Then the weeping rock shined cracked "look there" jasmine said well she and the rest of the group are at the edge of the lake the man was surprised and the weeping rock exploded revealing the beautiful woman he saw she is holding the ruby in her hands. "Its the ruby" lief said the man said" athen" while she walked to him nelt down and he place his hand on the ruby.
Suddenly the whole dry lake began to transform into a grassy field, and all the fishes back into the people of Dor "dor the people of dor have come back to life" lief said and cal said "they are finally free from the evil sorcereress" cal said after he released his armor . "I feel like im in some sort of dream" barda said "but its real" a voice said and everyone looked behind them and found it was manus"if its not then it seems we're all dreaming the same dream" manus said "manus you can speak" lief said "yes with theagen gone all her spells have been undone" he said "this is great" lief said happily.
"The people of raldian,the people of Dor and everyone else around here thank you especially for what that amazing bird of your did" manis said and kree landed on jasmine arm doing a triumphant pose. We now see everyone in the center of the field "my name is nanion and this is my wife athena we are the chiefs of the dor tribe"nanion said "thanks to what you've done we are now free from the curse of that sorceress" he finished and athena walked to the group opening her hand to show the ruby"I believe you are looking for this" she said.
Athena the handed lief the ruby and dropped it in his hands"we really are very greatfull for a hundread years we have lived a life that was worse than death thanks to you, we are once again our true selfs" manus said. Our group looked at each other and barda nodded his head lief had revealed to them the belt of Deltora "the belt of deltora why is it here so far from del no it's best if you don't answer that, i know your intentions are good but where ar the seven gems i only see one on the belt" nanion said. "Actually thanks to you we now have two" lief said and do it was that lief was able to get the second gem the ruby.
"That can only mean it really happen we were hoping it wasn't true" athena said "before she sent us into the darkness theagen told us one thing,the Shadow Lord has come she said and he rules all the land deltora is loast forever" she finished. "No don't say that nothing is lost forever,we must never lose hope just like Dor the rest of the kingdom will be free to" jasmine said "i think you are absolutely right as long as there a people with courage who do not give up hope justice will pravel" nanion said. Then they heard bells and all look up in the sky"what's that" lief asked "the bells of hope thanking us" athena said while this was happening on the rock where thaegen was destroyed her ring was still present suddenly a rat came and grabbed the ring and started to scurry away from the field.
(Day time) ralidian villiage
Our brave adventures said their farwells cal had given them half of his treasure he got from his half sibilings and returned to ralidian there they were received as heroes every ralid was playing music and dancing around them. "Whats wrong?" Lief asked "oh i thought they all got their voices back" jasmine said "there are no words to descibe this amount of joy so instead we express it through music"manis said. "Our people are eternally gratefully its for this reason we play our flutes" chief said "everyone thanks you" ralid man said "we are forever in your debt" rald woman said and a group of kids say"thank you jasmin" she replied "your all very welcome". "Lief,barda,cal and jasmine thank you for everything we will never forget you for as long as we live" manis said our adventures felt happy for freeing this land from thaegen even a ralid group were happy with kree they gathered around him while he hovered.
(Night time) kingdom castle of deltora
"What this is thaegens!"Fallow said while holding the ring the rat had brought him"you mean to tell me theagen is dead!? hm i always knew she was pathetic" he finished and suddenly the chamber shook and he droped the ring. "You are the pathetic one" Shadow Lord said from his claw alter"yes of course my lord" fallow said while bowing and groveling"first the topaz was stolen from the forest of silence and now the ruby from the lake of tears, and yet you still don't know who they are"shadow lord said. "Are there any who have disappeared from del recently?" Shadow lord said "we are checking into that right now my lord" fallow said "you would be wise to" Shadow Lord said" yes my lord" fallow said while getting up bowing and leaving to run to the task.
"Rat bring that ring to me" Shadow Lord said and the rat obey " the sorceress can still be of some use to us so i shall give her a second chance". The Shadow Lord alter cast his spell to revive sorceress thaegen the ring atarted to glow then smoke on top and from it poped sorceress theatens pinky finger meaning that revival has begun.
So what do y'all think of the chapter as for the sword and shield i got that from skylanders charcter chop chop because lets face it.They give you a choice between upgrading the shield and the sword to add insult injury the chop chop boss has both upgrades what gives?
