This group is known as Stalkers. This is the story of a boy who embarks into an unknown realm abandoned by the Brothers in search of a loved one.

The Blacksmith, in all fairness, did tell them exactly what was about to happen. The problem, really, is that when five heretofore unknown figures suddenly blip into existence a good decade and a half into the past, a lot of very powerful people notice. And many of them are less than pleased. Or; Those five from the Ever After end up scattered across Remnant, 12 years in the past.

Being stranded in Remnant would usually be most fans' dream, but for Jay, it's anything but. Unable to use aura, and seemingly immune to semblances, dust, and even ignored by the Grimm; he's left to piece together why he's been dragged into the storybook world. With nothing but his once bold love for the series to keep him going, he ends up facing Remnant's secret sides head on.

Most people think that dying is a bad omen and that getting killed is the worst way to go. But what If I told you that it wasn't? Being sent to Remnant has it's ups and downs, but overall, it is awesome. Just have to avoid the White Fang, Cinder and her cronies, and deal with school projects. I know. Awesome right? (SI/OC)

This story, a 100k fanfic, is meant to be a retelling/novelization of the first volume of RWBY with my own spin on it, a la alternate universe. You'll recognize much of the story from the canon, but over half the tale is completely new and even that which isn't has been notably changed.

But upon his master's passing, Jaune vowed to honor his mentor's final wish for him to leave the Everafter, join an Academy, and become a Huntsman.
