Welcome to the Eridante region! Full of verdant forests and pleasant lakes. An errant group of Environmental Conservationists are rising to dominance to try and strike out at the big corporations! We will join Polo, a 15 year old aspiring Pokémon Trainer who hails from the Alola region. Polo is a laidback individual with a carefree attitude, but this new region may cause evolution!

Pokemon Topaz: The Discovery of Bonds

Preface:

Hello there! It's nice to meet you. I try and do a brief Preface before starting any fic to show where my heads at.

This is going to be a fic with a new region and characters, but Gen 1-9 Pokémon that will be included to my leisure. It's hopefully gonna focus on character arcs and Pokémon characters having rich personalities and hopes.

It's going to rely on the below somewhat explicit in-universe rules

In the World of Pokémon (or this version of it), it is literally coded into the laws of the world that you must challenge others to Pokémon Battles to order them around. This solves a lot of common plot points where you think why don't the evil teams just constrain the heroes? That being said, the baddies are actually strong and competent as Pokémon Trainers to justify this

This will sometimes get serious, but never too serious. A goal of mine is to write a story without relying on "darkness" in the ways I can tend to fall into. This should hopefully contain the spirit of Pokémon
