Ashe
Morning again! I climbed out of bed and ran to my parents room, I was happy they were sleeping together again. Daddy was also a lot more fun that he used to be. I climbed onto their bad and jumped up and down, "Wake up!" I said and I heard my mom groan, she must have been up with Janna. I know she cries a lot at night. I hear her sometimes and it bugs me but she is till just a baby. "I got her" Daddy said perfect as he scooped me up and made me giggle. He took me into the bathroom and made me go pee, I hate being this big girl! I sometimes forget that I have to pee all the time. After we were done and he had me dressed we went downstairs. There was a man there I didn't recognize, and he sort of had this vibe coming off him. "Daddy who is he?" I asked, "that is Jaxon he is going to protect you" he said. Protect me from what I wonder? I miss Sylvie was she coming back? Daddy made some coffee and breakfast for me, it was yummy. I love jam toast! While I was eating my dad was talking to Jaxon and I was trying to figure him out. "There is coffee if you need it" he said. Jaxon didn't move at al he was weird, but he looked at me and smiled. Dad went upstairs leaving me with the man and I think he went to get Janna. "Hi" I said to him, "hello little lady" he said this made me laugh, "do you not drink coffee?" I asked him, "I do" he said and he poured a cup. I wonder if he was waiting for me to tell him it was okay. I feel like he might listen to everything I say, that would be cool!
Daddy hasn't come back down yet and the doorbell rang I ran to get it but Jaxon pulled me back, "No" he said, this confused me. I mean why was I not allowed to open the door. I was always allowed to open the door, I looked at him confused and Daddy came down and put Janna on the carpet so she could do her tummy time he called it. Daddy opened the door and it was grandma I ran over to her and hugged her. "Hey pretty girl" she said as she scooped me up. "Morning" Dad said to her, "hey I come here on behalf of Rocky, he is working today but he wanted to know if you received any more letters?" she asked, "no not that I am aware of" daddy said, letters I like getting the mail. "This is Jaxon he is going to protect the girls" daddy said, I still don't know what that meant. Jaxon was protecting me from what opening the door. "That's good" grandma said as she sat down on the couch picking up Janna. I am not sure why she was to get all the attention all the time. I wanted to be cuddled too, I put on a pout face, but no one seemed to notice. Daddy and grandma were talking, and I was upset, Jaxon noticed, and he kneeled down to my level, "you okay?" he asked, "no Janna takes my mommy, daddy and grandam away" I said. "Hmm well, how about we play with these" he said looking at my dolls. He was really going to play with me I loved that! "Okay" I said with a huge smile and now I was finally getting the attention, maybe he won't be so bad after all. Mommy came down and poured coffee she sat with everyone, but I didn't care because this guy was playing with me. I forget his name but that is okay, I like him he plays with me like Sylvie does.
Josh
I had my doubts about Jaxon, but he was already warming Ashe over, and she was hard to please these days. I still felt like he was intimidating but I felt like this was a good thing. He might come off like that to adults but the way he was with her; I felt like he was going to do whatever it took to make her happy. She was going to be well taken care of, and I didn't have to worry about any threats getting to her, or Janna. I hoped that was the case, I mean we can't keep her locked up in the house forever. Especially with spring right down the corner, Janna was still feeling the vaccines and we were keeping an eye on her. "Mom did we ever get our blood taken when we went for vaccines?" Sophie asked her, "no why?" she asked, "Josh said that they took a sample of Janna's, I thought that was weird" she said. Ella looked over to me, and I noticed Jaxon look too, "that is not normal, oh my word" Ella said, "From now on the girls do not go anywhere without me understood" Jaxon said. I felt like he was being protective but that is what we hired him for, he was going to be our bodyguard. "Got it" Sophie said and she was worried too, I mean with Janna's blood out there who knows what could happen, I felt sick to my stomach. I let this happen and didn't ask questions, I let some random nurse just walk into our room and take her blood, I put her in danger. I mean I have no idea what they even wanted with it, or who this threat even was but I didn't like it not even a little bit. It being the weekend we wanted to do something as a family but now I felt like that wasn't going to happen. So far Ashe seemed to like Jaxon, but I had no idea to what extent, she was hard to read, and her mood changed a lot, and with Janna still recovering I had no idea if leaving the house was a good idea.
"DADDY!" Ashe screamed trying to get my attention, "What is up princess?" I asked, "I want to go to the park!" she said, I looked over to Sophie, "we can't keep her cooped up" she said I agreed, Jaxon came back into the room. I didn't even know he left the room, "Ashe would like to go to the park" I said, "Oh sure" he said smiling at her, she cheered. Ella who was still there, made us a lunch to go and we would have a picnic, it was still chilly out so I bundled Ashe up in her snow gear and we headed to the park. I had no idea if I could talk to Jaxon, but his focus was on Ashe and watching her he was running with her and catching her when she fell. I felt like he was going to be perfect, and he was living up to the promise of never letting anything happen to her. I watched them together, and I was happy scanning the park for any threat, I wanted to see how he would do if a threat was to come near her. Not that I am asking for the threat to come but I just wanted to see him in action, he was already very impressive. I still didn't know how to read him but his actions towards Ashe made me more comfortable and that is the only thing that mattered.
