What Fairy Girls Want

Chapter 18: sweet domestic bliss (time to get freaky)
Whew, getting up extra early to study was not easy! Lisanna Strauss liked to sleep in until the last minute to go to class, as her roommate Erza could attest to. She even overslep once and missed a Biology 201 lecture! That was embarrassing. But this semester was different! Less partying, more studying.
It helped to grab a coffee at the campus Storebucks ahead of time before visiting the library.
This was Lisanna's third time hitting the library in the early morning, and it already felt so right. In fact, Lisanna was humming cozily to herself as she leafed through an anatomy book at one of the library's study tables, with hardly anyone else around. Lisanna had only seen two or three other students wandering around. It was so weird, not being surrounded by all her lovely, chatty friends! Lisanna half-expected a ghost to show up and say -
"Boo," a female voice said behind her.
"EEEEEEEK!" Lisanna jumped about a foot in the air, chills going down her spine. What the fuck?!
"Sorry. Just havin a little fun," the woman said. "Relax."
"Wh-who...?!" Lisanna whipped around in her seat and beheld a student about two years her senior, a green-haired beauty with a revealing crop-top, skimpy black shorts, and high-heeled sandals.
"What's up," the green-haired student said casually. "I'm Brandish Mu. Studying hard, huh?"
"Y-yes," Lisanna said, putting a hand to her racing heart. "I'm Lisanna Strauss. I'm studying animal medicine. I found some great books, see?" She patted her short stack of volumes.
Brandish nodded. "Sure. This library's got it all." She yawned. "What time is it, anyway?"
Lisanna checked her phone's lock screen. "7:21 AM."
"Oh. For real? I oughta head back to my dorm and get some shut-eye."
"Were you up early studying, too?"
"More like, I was up late," Brandish said. She rolled her neck and winced. "I got here just after midnight to cram for my next exam. I think I'll get that B if I don't screw it up."
Lisanna's jaw dropped. "You were here all night?"
"Why not? This library's open 24 hours a day. Didn't you know that?"
"I did, but..."
"But some of us are night owls, honey," Brandish teased her in a deadplan voice. "I like burning the midnight oil. Fewer people to bug me."
"You must be so dedicated to your studies," Lisanna said in awe. "What's your major?"
"Physics."
"What inspired you to get into physics, Brandish?"
Brandish shrugged. "I closed my eyes and picked it from a list. Why not? Science is kinda cool. But I wouldn't have minded getting into the humanities. Or agriculture studies. Or history, maybe."
"It sounds like you're open to anything," Lisanna noted.
"More like, I care equally little about everything," Brandish said bluntly. "I'm just killing time here, Lisanna. I'll figure my shit out later."
"Well... okay," Lisanna said, unsure what to make of that. "As for me, I promised my big sister I'd study much harder from now on! I want to be a vet when I graduate. And I already volunteer at an animal shelter." She smiled.
"Hmmmmm. Not bad."
"I might also look for a part-time job."
"If you want."
"I might even form a study group!"
"Don't let me stop you."
Lisanna pouted. "You're not making fun of me, are you?"
"Naw, don't sweat it. More power to you. I'm cool with it," Brandish said. She pulled out a chair and sat on it backwards, resting her arms on the backrest. She studied Lisanna with her dark green eyes. "You're so driven. What's up with that?"
"I want to impress my older brother and sister," Lisanna said brightly, flexing her right arm's bicep. She had a happy twinkle in her eyes. "My big sis is so proud of me, and I want to prove her right about me! I can't let her down."
Brandish nodded. "Cool, I guess. But that's not all, is it?"
Lisanna froze. "Huh?"
"You've got a look in your eyes," Brandish said, pointing at her. "Something happen, Lisanna?"
"Y... yes." Lisanna looked down.
"Somethin' personal?"
"Uh-huh."
"Oh. I guess I shouldn't pry."
"No, it's okay." Lisanna looked up. "I shouldn't be ashamed to admit this. I lost my best chance at romance, and it hurt. The guy I like is now with one of my friends because they're so right for each other. And I can accept that."
"Oof. The fickle sting of love's thorn."
"I thought I'd transform my life if I was with him," Lisanna added. Ah, it felt so good to explain all this to another person! "But love wouldn't give me what I needed. The guy I like already inspired me to push myself this year. Being his girlfriend wouldn't have helped any more than that."
Brandish merely watched her.
"Sorry. Was that too much information?" Lisanna yelped.
"No big deal," Brandish said. "So you lost a guy to some other girl, and now you're focusing on what's most important. You moved on. That makes you smarter than half the blockheads at this college."
Lisanna tried not to think of just how many names fit in that "blockhead" category. So many! "I'm just doing my best," Lisanna concluded with a nervous giggle.
"Good for you."
"Can... um..." Lisanna swallowed. "Can we be friends, Brandish? You're a good listener."
"Hey, why not," Brandish agreed. "Our schedules might not line up that well, though."
"It's okay. I'll text you," Lisanna said brightly. "So, what do you do for fun? How's class?"
"About half the guys I know wanna fuck me," Brandish said casually, and a shocked Lisanna nearly fell over in her chair. "They can't get enough of this incredible body." Brandish ran her hand down her thigh. "Can you blame them?"
"Uh... well..."
Brandish finally made a little smile. "A few already have. Whew, those were a real workout. My roommate gave me an earful about the noise. She didn't get a wink of sleep the last time it happened."
"Oh my..."
"How about you? Got any plans for a rebound after losing the love war?"
"Who, me?" Lisanna said with a wince. "I didn't have a rebound in mind. It's my friends who are all rocking the bed." Then she broke into a wide smile. "They're all so in love, and I couldn't be happier for them. My friends used to do carnal hookups, but they're growing up and getting the real thing. That includes my brother, Elfman. What he has with Evergreen is something wonderful."
"Oh, really. Who's hooking up with whom?"
"Well, there's Elfy and Evergreen to start," Lisanna said, holding up a finger. "And my big sis Mirajane is doing well with Laxus. Plus Gajeel and Levy, Erza with Jellal, Alzack with Bisca, Gray and Juvia, and most recently, Natsu with Lucy!"
Bisca cocked her head. "Oh, I've seen some of those couples around. Some of 'em are definitely gonna go the distance. But based on what I hear, at least one of those couples is about to go down in flames."
Lisanna stared. "What? How can you tell?"
"I have an eye for these things. Maybe I should get into the social sciences. It's not too late to switch majors," Brandish said, mostly to herself.
"So, who's going the distance?" Lisanna asked eagerly, leaning forward to hear more.
Brandish waved a finger. "Not so fast. I can't tell you that."
"But why not?" Lisanna pouted.
"I don't want to jinx anything."
"You mean, you don't want me interfering after I'm told?"
"You're a sharp one."
"Oh, fine." Lisanna leaned back and picked up her phone. "Can we swap numbers? And is there a chance we could study together sometime?" She smiled.
Brandish got out her phone, too. "If I can manage it. Here's my number..."
They traded numbers, and then Brandish added, "If you wanna find work for animal stuff, that store called PetCorps just down the street is hiring. Try there."
Lisanna gasped. "I had no idea!"
"You're welcome."
"Thank you so much."
"Eh, it's nothing." Brandish yawned again and got up, stretching her arms high over her head. "Okay, I'm headin' to bed before I collapse right here in the library. Good luck out there, Lisanna."
"I will! And, if I may..."
"What?"
"Forgive me for being nosy, but... why are you being so nice to me?"
"I'm bored. I need a new face around here. Whatever. See ya." Brandish turned and headed off, giving a little wave as she went.
Lisanna giggled as she resumed her studies. She knew the type: the kind that tried to act aloof and cool, but had a warm, fuzzy heart deep down. They wouldn't admit it, but those types always felt good about helping others, and Brandish was no exception.
After all, Lisanna had an eye for these things!
o*o*o*o*
It was early evening by the time Alzack Connell decided that even in this fantastic house, he was doomed to be bored. House-sitting for his rich aunt and uncle out here in suburban Magnolia was a killer way to earn some extra Jewels, but ugh! No one to share it with. Alzack couldn't just invite all his pals here and throw a rager like he would in his apartment. He'd watched enough rom-coms to know that trashing the place would get him in a world of hurt.
But no matter its glitzy decor and modern gadgets, this house just felt so empty...!
"So... almost dinnertime," Alzack said to himself, relaxing on the plush white couch, idly watching a variety show on the mammoth flatscreen TV sitting on a polished wooden stand. The living room was as big as his whole apartment, man! What was he supposed to do with all that space? Actually, what did his aunt and uncle do with it all? Their kids had already grown up and moved out.
When a commercial break came on, Alzack checked his phone again, weighing a certain idea in his head. No, it wasn't part of the agreement... but if it was just one, what was the harm? Maybe he could get away with it...?
Alzack typed in Come on over to my aunt and uncle's place, then waited about fifteen minutes until a cab pulled up. The doorbell rang.
"There's my favorite girl," Alzack said brightly as he swung open the front door.
"Are you sure this is okay?" Bisca Mulan asked.
Alzack gave her a welcome kiss on the lips. "You're here, aren't you? Welcome home." He stepped back and gestured, all smiles.
"Ooooooh, don't mind if I do." Bisca giggled and stepped right in, her eyes wide as she scoped the place out. "Oh my gosh, it's huge!"
Normally, Alzack needed to take off his pants to hear those words, but tonight, he had other plans in mind, too. "Make yourself comfortable," he said cheerily, stepping into the spacious kitchen and turning on the lights. "What can I get you?"
"Mmmmmmm... surprise me." Bisca flopped onto the couch and stretched out, one leg hanging over the edge. "So, when will your aunt and uncle be back?"
"Tomorrow morning at 8:00," Alzack called over from the kitchen. "That means I'm spending the night. The guest bedroom is up the stairs, second door on the right."
Bisca giggled. "Is there extra room in that bedroom?"
Alzack nearly dropped the glasses of fruit juice he'd just poured. "H-hold on, now...!"
"What're you getting so bashful about?" Bisca asked, sitting upright and giving Alzack a curious look. "We spend the night over at each other's apartments all the time! Don't chicken out on me now. Not when we're in fancy digs like this!"
"It's just..." Alzack went pink as he handed Bisca her drink and took a sip from his. "Being in this house, spending the night, taking care of the place... it feels so grown-up."
Bisca went bright red. "Are you, um..." She cleared her throat. "Are you picturing us as newlyweds losing themselves in domestic bliss?"
"K... kind of?"
Bisca got up and gave her boyfriend a gentle shove. "Man up, Alzack! You invited me here, now give me a straight answer! You got any balls or not?"
Alzack grinned. When annoyed, his girlfriend often reverted to the carefree punk she used to be. "Sorry, babe. Yeah, I'm picturing us in our white picket fence slice of heaven. I feel like this is a glimpse of the future."
"Oh my gosh! Does that mean... oh my..." Gone was punk Bisca, replaced by flustered maiden Bisca, who was even cuter. She glanced away and held her blushing cheek in one hand. "Are you definitely going to... y'know...?"
"Nothing's decided," Alzack said quickly, his heart beating hard, his body tingling with nervous energy. "I got ahead of myself. Forget it."
Then he caught the look on his girlfriend's face and added, "No, don't forget it. Just... let's set that aside for tonight. I'm just the housesitter."
Bisca smiled. "So what does that make me?"
"My guest who needs to be pampered, that's who!" Alzack returned her smile and took another sip of sweet juice. "You hungry? That kitchen's got a little of everything in it."
"Mmmmmm... What's on the menu, Mr. housesitter?"
"I'll whip up a little something, and -"
"Let's do it together. Come on!" Bisca took Alzack's free hand and led him into the waiting kitchen. "Oh, and how about music?" She found a fancy radio thingy and switched it on. Pop music burst to life in the kitchen as Bisca did a little boogie dance.
"Is this gonna be like a montage in a movie?" Alzack asked.
"Do you want it to be?" Bisca set down her drink and kept up her dance moves, her eyes fixed on her man. "Come on, be a sport..."
Alzack felt his wide smile crossing his face again. "You're on."
It really did feel like a happy movie montage as Alzack and Bisca delved right into the white picket fence domestic bliss. Out came the pots and pans as the stove burners turned on and Bisca got out the butter while Alzack prepared the cutting board. The music kept the two of them going as they flitted about the kitchen, making a bit of a mess as they improvised a delightful chicken cobbler with some sweet cole slaw on the side and two tall glasses of wine. Oh, and don't forget the dessert: a humble package of Oreos, double-stuffed.
"Here's to us," Alzack said when the dinner table was all set, candles included. He raised his wine glass, and a giddy Bisca clinked it.
"We're such grownups now," Bisca said fondly as she took a sip. "I love you so much, Alzack. I love this house. I love all of it!"
"House parties already feel so silly by comparison," Alzack said cockily. "Why play beer pong when we can... you know..." He gestured at the table.
"Well, I did finally beat Cana at Jellal's party last week," Bisca mentioned as she tried a bite of chicken cobbler.
"For real? Congrats." Then Alzack winced. "Wait, no. We're supposed to be grown up now! This is our life."
Bisca looked around. "Relax, Alzack. This isn't really our place. For now, we're just pretending."
"We're still doing a pretty great job though, huh?" Alzack took a bite of cole slaw.
"Goofing off and keeping the thermostat at a cozy temperature? I'd say we're killin' it." Bisca laughed. "We should do this more often!"
"Don't count on it," Alzack teased her. "My aunt and uncle don't go on as many vacations as you'd think."
"For real? What a shame."
"That just makes tonight even more precious," Alzack concluded. He took another bite and concluded that he and Bisca could seriously rock a kitchen.
From there, the domestic bliss train kept rolling as Alzack and Bisca turned up the music and danced together in the well-lit living room as twilight fell outside. They had plenty of room with their partner dance, twirling around and waving their arms. If anyone looked in, it would all look so dumb, but who cared? It was fun! Next, they put on a horror movie about a drowned girl chasing kids with a chainsaw while wearing a pig mask and black robes, and then they went upstairs to check out the wardrobe. Why not dress up a little?
"I look like the fucking mayor, I tell you," Alzack joked as he swaggered out of his uncle's closet, wearing a dark gray blazer with a red bow tie, white button-up shirt, fancy pants, and a gold watch with a long, thin chain. "Or a trust fund asshole who's never had two eat microwaved food in his life."
"A microwave? Good heavens, what is that?" Bisca said in a funny posh accent as she put her hands on her hips, strutting around in Alack's aunt's best cocktail dress. "Tell the servants to bring the carriage around. I'm almost late for the estate ball!"
"I don't even know what that is," Alzack said as he stifled his laughter.
Bisca tossed her hair. "Heck if I know, either." A smile spread across her lips. "These clothes are too expensive for my taste. Why don't you... rip them off of me...?" She put a naughty finger to her lips.
2.38 seconds later, Bisca and Alzack were buck-ass naked in the guest bedroom, with only the bedside table's lamp on as they went at it like wild animals. Alzack didn't know where his hot, sweaty body ended and Bisca's began as they started their carnal dance, a whirlwind of Bisca's huge, heaving breasts, Alzack's hands gripping Bisca's curvy waist, Alack's cock rubbing against Bisca's body, and Bisca's eager tongue running all up and down Alzack's well-muscled chest. And that was just the foreplay!
"OOOOHHH... OOOOOOHHHHH... AAAAAAAHHHH! BABY...!" Bisca's wailing could wake the dead as she aggressively rode up and down on her boyfriend's steely manhood, her legs wide apart while Alzack's member rapidly slid in and out of her, Alzack's ballsack jigging from the sheer force of his lovemaking. Bisca squeezed her eyes shut and kept crying out in the throes of pleasure, her green hair getting a little clumped from warm sweat as she kept grinding on that meat. The bed underneath them rocked and cracked in protest, pushing the box springs to their limit.
"I'm... I... here it comes!" Alzack grunted, baring his teeth as he felt himself reach his limit. His cock throbbed playfully in Bisca's slick pussy as he let loose, releasing his load without a care in the world. Bisca sighed and groaned with joy the whole time, her body quivering as Alzack filled her up. And whoopsies! Plenty of lovemaking juice from both partners was getting all over the expensive-looking comforter.
"I'll toss it in the wash before goin' to bed," Alzack promised as he caught his breath before starting round 2. "I think I can figure out the buttons and dials on that washing machine. It looks like an airplane's cockpit."
"Oh, my. Is my lover boy feeling bad about getting things dirty?" Bisca teased him, snuggled up against her man on the stained comforter, still panting for breath.'
Alzack leaned over and kissed her. "The damage is done. Why don't we get it a little dirtier?"
Bisca was game for that 15 minutes later, when she was on her hands and knees, wailing like a banshee as Alzack's pleasure rod demolished her from behind. Then, after Bisca blew her boyfriend for round 3 and Alzack spooned his beloved maiden for round 4, the two of them decided to actually act like good housesitters and clean up that mess. They were responsible grownups, you know!
And through the steamy haze of it all, Alzack never completely took his mind off that big decision he knew Bisca was waiting for. Just how patient was she, really? How patient was Alzack...?
o*o*o*o*
Lucy Heartfilia just finished her lunch in the MCC student union cafeteria when she spotted her good friend Cana Alberona taking a seat a few tables away with her own meal. At once, Lucy bolted to her feet and hurried over. She waved.
"Hi. Can we talk for a bit?"
Cana looked up at her. "Oh. Sure thing. Make yourself comfy."
Lucy took a seat opposite Cana and swallowed tightly. Ugh, she suddenly felt so nervous! She had rehearsed this convo in her head a few times, but saying these things was never easy. Where to start?
"Are you doing all right?" Lucy ended up asking.
"Who, me? Sure," Cana said, motioning with a hand. "Same old, same old. Not a care in the world! Why do you ask?"
Lucy gave her friend a knowing look. "Cana..."
Cana paused for a moment, then glanced down. "I'm in a bit of a funk, Lucy. I'm guessing you noticed?"
"I did. And I'm here for you," Lucy told her earnestly as she leaned over and reached across the table, taking hold of Cana's left hand in both of hers. "I'm so sorry that things got weird between us. Because of... you know..."
"You winning the love race," Cana finished. "You sure know how to play the game, Lucy. Mad respect."
"Thanks, Cana, but that's not what I... well..." Lucy fought for her words. "Whether I'm Natsu's girlfriend or not, I care about all my friends equally! You and Lisanna are so precious to me. I'd feel terrible if our little harem drove us apart."
"Aw, come on. Didn't we cover this already back home?" Cana said with a playful scoff. "Remember: there ain't no guy who can come between me and my friends."
Lucy nodded and gave Cana's hand a squeeze. "I know. And I feel the same way. I just worry that you feel bad not about me, but about yourself."
"Hey, I'm not crying for hours in the shower or nothin'. I'm a trooper." Cana made a bracing smile, and Lucy trusted it. Yet still...
"You can tell me anything," Lucy said earnestly. "Anything at all. I'm your sounding board."
Cana took another moment, then confessed, "I feel kinda lost, Lucy. Where do I go from here? Who am I when I'm not partying or chasing guys?"
"Who are you? You're Cana Alberona, my amazing friend who can do anything," Lucy told her. She felt a fire light up in her eyes. "And it's perfectly okay to feel a little lost or scared about life. You're only human, like me! I felt pretty alone and overwhelmed when I left my dad's house to enroll at MCC. Like a little fish in a huge ocean."
Cana's eyes widened. "Oh man, for real? I had no idea. You always seem so carefree, just skipping around with rainbows and butterflies."
Lucy burst out laughing. "This college butterfly has plenty of baggage, I promise you. But think of it this way: feeling like this just means you're ready to grow and change, Cana. If you lean into it, you'll find all kinds of exciting possibilities! Without parties or dating Natsu, you've got the whole world in your hands." She smiled. "Isn't that what college is all about? Exploring new vistas and entering the next phase of your life."
Cana whistled. "Whew, homegirl. If you weren't studying newspapers, you'd kick ass in psychology!"
"I'm studying journalism," Lucy corrected her gently. She let go of Cana's hands. "I'm following my passion. If you don't know where your own passion leads, then any direction is as good as any. I'm positive you'll find something you like! When you're ready, seize it!"
Cana beamed. "I think that's just the shot in the arm I needed, Lucy. Thanks a million. I didn't think of it that way. You're such a smarty-pants."
"Oh, it's nothing. I'm always here for you." Lucy sat back and lowered her hands. "I just wanted you to feel heard and understood, Cana. You're never alone. I mean it."
"I hear you, loud and clear," Cana said casually. "Don't let this keep you up at night, Lucy. I'll be fine, especially with those cool ideas you gave me. While we're at it, is Lisanna doing well?"
"She is." Lucy chuckled. "Mirajane told me Lisanna moved on from the whole Natsu affair and is now studying animal medicine like never before! She also just got a job at a pet store down the street. Isn't that wonderful? Lisanna's really in the driver's seat of her life!"
"Wow. I oughta catch up," Cana commented. "I'll bounce around some ideas tonight over a few mixed drinks. Don't worry, I'm not gonna black out!" she added quickly. "Having a few classy drinks helps me think. I once got an A- on a test 'cause I nursed a few gin and tonics, complete with lime wedges and little umbrellas."
"Yum. Could I have one sometime, please?"
"For my newspaper princess? Anytime," Cana said with a wink. She motioned at her lunch. "I think this went cold, but I might as well eat it. Gotta fuel up for this afternoon's classes."
"Enjoy your lunch," Lucy said as she got up and smiled again. "Cana... I'm glad we had this talk. I was nervous you'd push me away, or that I'd say something insensitive -"
"Come on, Lucy. Don't overthink it. Let me borrow some of that thinking energy to figure all this put," Cana said. "You've got classes and a boyfriend who loves you. Think about that, why don't you?"
Lucy's smile turned naughty. "How about I ponder what to wear in the bedroom tonight when I invite Natsu over? I ought to visit the Victoro's Secret over in the shopping center and find a bargain!"
"Whooooo!" Cana cheered. "Spare no expense! Make him cry at the sight of you!"
"Oh, I shall!" Lucy said with her own wink. "How about I send you a few selfies to get your seal of approval, too."
"Now we're talkin'! See ya!" Cana happily waved goodbye, and an immensely relieved and giddy Lucy skipped away with rainbows and butterflies all around her. This was shaping up to be the best semester of her life. Of everyone's lives!
