AN: Hello to all my readers! Here I bring you another story from my wonderful mind.
A story in which our favorite shinigami, a member of the Big Three of Shounen travels to one of the most famous isekai of the current era starring a slime.
What kind of things will happen because of that encounter?
Let's find out in this story.
'Bleach' is set after the fullbringer arc.
'Tensei Shitara Slime Datta Ken' is set after the second season.
I don't own anything except the OCs.
Karakura City.
For some, it was just a normal city like many others, but for others, things happened in that city that were not normal.
"AAHH!"
At that moment, a woman could be seen running in great fear through the streets of the city.
The curious thing about that woman was that she had a half-length chain connected to her chest, and that woman wasn't a human, but a spirit.
The spirit woman was fleeing from a black creature in the shape of a snake, a hole in its body and its face was covered by a bony mask.
It was a hollow, a creature that, once upon a time, was a spirit, but ended up being consumed by its negative thoughts and emotions, which turned it into a beast with a (literal) hole inside it that it tried to fill by devouring souls of the living and the dead.
The woman kept running with the intention of getting away from the beast that was trying to devour her, but then, she stumbled and fell to the ground.
When she looked up, she was horrified to see the hollow in front of her, ready to attack.
Without wasting any time, the hollow opened its mouth and lunged towards her to devour her, which made the woman scream with her eyes closed as she thought her end was near.
SLASH
However, the end never came and instead, she heard a roar of immense pain.
Opening her eyes, the woman was shocked to see that in front of her was a young adult with short orange hair, black kimono and a huge sword in his hand with which he had cut the hollow that disintegrated due to the wound received.
That fellow was a shinigami.
When someone hears about them, they think of death bearers who take people's souls to the afterlife, but the reality was something else.
The shinigami are part of an organization located in the Soul Society, basically heaven, whose mission is to maintain order between life and death in the world by protecting everyone from the hollows by purifying them so that their formerly tainted souls can go to the afterlife.
And that shinigami was none other than Ichigo Kurosaki, a substitute shinigami.
Unlike normal shinigami, he was born human and raised in that city, but due to various events, he became a shinigami in charge of the city's security.
Once the hollow completely disappeared, Ichigo turned around to see the spirit woman.
"Are you all right?" asked Ichigo.
"Y-Yes, t-thank you very much." said the woman gratefully to her savior.
Before either of them could say anything, multiple roars were heard and Ichigo raised his guard as several hollows appeared around him.
"Damn. I didn't think there could be more." said Ichigo preparing for a fight.
One of the hollows lunged towards him, only for Ichigo to slash at it with his sword like melted butter.
Suddenly, another athletic looking hollow ran at full speed towards the unprotected spirit woman.
Ichigo was about to use shunpo to go towards her when…
"Santen Kesshun!"
Suddenly, a glowing, transparent orange triangular shield formed in front of the spirit woman, causing the hollow to slam into the shield.
Just as the hollow recoiled from the impact, a fist smashed into its face and slammed it into the wall, shattering its mask and disintegrating it in the process.
A smile formed on Ichigo's face, for he knew who they were.
"I'm glad you came." said Ichigo.
The one who formed the shield was Orihime Inoue, a dear friend of Ichigo's whose power consisted of using fairies located in her earrings for protection, attack and healing.
The one who hit the hollow hard was Yasutora Sado, aka Chad, who was a fullbringer, a human with the ability to manipulate the 'soul' of objects, as well as create a specific weapon for each one and in his case, his weapon was his own fists, as his right arm was black with thick red lines and had a shield fused with red patterns drawn in such a way that they looked like a skull.
"Of course we were coming. We weren't going to leave you alone." said Orihime with a smile.
"You can always count on us." said Chad.
"I know." said Ichigo.
The other hollows prepared to attack the three, who prepared for the fight, with Orihime standing next to the spirit woman to protect her.
Just as the hollows were about to launch an attack, thousands of energy arrows fell from the sky like rain, striking all the hollows, who roared in pain before falling dead and disintegrating completely.
Looking up, they saw a person dressed in white and standing in the air as if stepping on an invisible ground.
He was Uryu Ishida, a quincy, people who use their reiryoku in the form of arrows to fight hollows.
However, unlike the shinigami, the quincy eliminated the hollows instead of purifying them, which led to disputes between the two sides and as a result, he and his father were the last of their lineage.
"We had it under control, Uryu." said Ichigo.
"I simply wanted to get this over with as soon as possible." began Uryu as he lowered himself to the ground. "And this wouldn't have happened if you didn't attract the hollows with your massive amount of reiatsu like flies to honey."
"What's my fault for having so much power?" asked Ichigo annoyed by the quincy's comment.
"Clearly you could have trained to contain it better." said Uryu, much to the annoyance of the substitute shinigami.
"E-Excuse me."
They all turned their gaze to the spirit woman who had recovered enough to stand up.
"But… who are you people?" asked the spirit woman nervously.
"Just a group of people who help those in need." said Ichigo with a smile.
"I-I see. Thank you so much for saving me." said the spirit woman bowing in thanks.
"You don't have to give them to us. It's what we do." said Orihime with a smile.
"Have those hollows been attacking you lately?" asked Chad.
"Yeah, no matter how many times I let them out of my sight, they always come back for me." said the spirit woman.
"Well, you won't have to worry about them anymore." said Ichigo, to the spirit woman's confusion.
"What? What do you mean?" asked the spirit woman.
"Let's just say I could take you to a much better place. One where you'll be able to be more at ease." said Ichigo.
"Really? If that's the case, then, I agree to go to that place." said the spirit woman.
With her permission received, Ichigo approached her and lightly tapped her forehead with the butt of his sword, leaving an emblem at the point of impact in the process.
Said emblem began to glow brightly and the spirit woman sank to the ground, where a pool of blue light had appeared.
By the time she sank completely, the pool of light disappeared and a black butterfly flew out, bound for the Soul Society.
The four of them followed the butterfly with their eyes until it was out of sight.
"Well, that's that." said Uryu.
"It feels good to help wandering souls get to the other side." said Orihime.
"Just another day in our life out of the ordinary." said Chad.
"Even I couldn't have said it better myself." said Ichigo.
After that, the four continued to spend the rest of the day like any other, both as 'normal' people and as protectors of the city.
Night had fallen over the city and everyone was sleeping peacefully, especially Ichigo who had had a full day with his studies, his work and his duty as a substitute shinigami.
"Ichigo…"
Ichigo jerked a little, taking that call as the stuff of a dream or something.
"Ichigo… Ichigo… ICHIGO!"
Ichigo immediately doubled over with a loud gasp when he felt an axe kick to his stomach.
He coughed a little before looking to his side and seeing that the one responsible for both the call and the blow was a short young woman in a black kimono.
This was Rukia Kuchiki, a shinigami member of the 13th divisions, specifically, the vice-captain of the 13th division.
Not only that, but she was the one who started everything that led to Ichigo getting to where he was now.
"Rukia, what the hell?! Why did you have to wake me up like that? Even my crazy father has more tact!" said Ichigo rubbing the bruised area.
"And that was just a butterfly punch compared to what I would have done to you if I hadn't woken you up." said Rukia crossing her arms.
"Whatever. What are you doing here at this hour?" asked Ichigo.
"Not here, Ichigo. I'll tell you when we get there." said Rukia.
"When we get where?" asked Ichigo with an eyebrow arched in confusion.
"Cut the questions and get going." said Rukia.
At the vice-captain's haste, Ichigo could tell that this was a very serious and important matter, so, without further questions, he took his combat pass and slammed it into himself, causing his spirit, with the black kimono and sword, to separate from his body, which fell onto the bed lifelessly.
With all said and done, Rukia led Ichigo out of his house and in a specific direction.
As they jumped from building to building, Ichigo kept wondering what was going on.
It was a surprise for Ichigo when he saw that they were heading to Orihime's house and even more so when they entered and saw who were there as well.
Besides Orihime, obviously, there were also Uryu, Chad and Renji Abarai, vice-captain of the 6th division.
"Renji? What are you doing here?" asked Ichigo.
"I have a better one. Why did you bring us here at this hour?" asked Uryu.
"And I have an even better one. Why is it here?" asked Orihime.
"All of your answers will be answered shortly, but, to begin with, we are here because this is such an important matter that it must be kept secret." said Renji.
"We have even placed a barrier around this house to prevent anyone from seeing or hearing what we are about to reveal." said Rukia.
"Is it something related to Hueco Mundo?" asked Chad.
"No, it's solely about the Soul Society." said Rukia.
"Stop keeping us in suspense and tell us what's going on." said Ichigo starting to get impatient.
"Right away, but first…" began Renji before pulling out a pill.
He threw the pill on the ground and in the next instant some sort of slimy plant emerged from the point of impact and grew until it covered the entire wall, but what caught the attention of the others was that there was a large screen.
Before anyone could comment on anything, the screen flashed static for a few seconds before revealing a bald old man with a mustache and a very long beard.
The four became a little nervous, for this was Genryusai Yamamoto, the captain-commander of the 13 divisions and if he was present, then the matter was more serious than they imagined.
"Vice-Captain Kuchiki, Vice-Captain Abarai, do you read me?" asked Genryusai.
"Perfectly, Captain-Commander." said Renji.
"Is everyone present?" asked Genryusai.
"Everyone you requested is here and ready to listen." said Rukia.
"Okay, old man. What's supposed to be going on as to gather here and so discreetly?" asked Ichigo with his arms crossed.
"I'll explain in due time, but first, you all remember the betrayal of the former captain of the 5th division, Sosuke Aizen, right?" asked Genryusai.
"Believe me, we would never forget that moment." said Ichigo with a frown.
He would never forget the moment when, after they rescued Rukia from her execution, the 'deceased' Aizen suddenly appeared and revealed his true colors, as well as that he had planned everything to steal the Hogyoku located inside Rukia and after that, he and his followers, traitorous captains, left for Hueco Mundo.
"Has he escaped his imprisonment?" asked Uryu.
"No, Aizen has remained sealed ever since and there is no sign that he can escape, but that's not what this is about." said Genryusai.
"Then what is it about?" asked Orihime.
"After three of our captains betrayed and abandoned us, the other captains and I decided to watch for any signs of treachery in our divisions for possible accomplices of Aizen. For years we found no sign of rebellion, until a few months ago, when the replacement shinigami Ichigo Kurosaki was out of commission." said Genryusai.
Ichigo's eyes widened as he realized that something had happened during the time he was without powers.
"By the time we realized it was too late, members of each division defected and together, they formed a revolutionary group." said Genryusai.
"And they intend to free Aizen?" asked Ichigo.
"No, Alostrol said he had nothing to do with Aizen." said Genryusai.
"Alostrol?" asked Chad.
At that moment, the image of a young adult with messy hair appeared.
"He was a member of my division. After the betrayal of Aizen, Gin and Kaname, he claimed that the Soul Society and the 13 divisions should change." said Genryusai.
"Let me guess, you refused to listen to him." said Ichigo guessing what happened.
"While his message was correct, his methods weren't at all. He was saying that the system should be dismantled completely and a new one created that would benefit everyone, but that would have only caused chaos and imbalance in everything." said Genryusai.
"Well, when you don't like the way things are done, you tend to react that way." said Uryu.
"What happened in the end?" asked Orihime.
"One day, Alostrol defected from the 1st division and disappeared. After that, one member of each division also defected, as they matched his ideals." said Genryusai.
"So why are you telling us about it now? Couldn't you have worked it out on your own?" asked Ichigo.
"That was our intention from the beginning. We sent squads to track them down and once we did, we attacked them and managed to arrest most of them. However, when it came time to interrogate them to find out the location of their remaining members, they used a special kido and self-destructed. The worst thing was that it started to affect many of our people. Even some students at the academy started to leave saying that we couldn't be trusted." said Genryusai.
"Let me see if I can guess." began Uryu before adjusting his glasses. "In order to prevent the revolution from escalating and chaos from breaking out, they have decided to step aside and ask us, who don't belong to the Soul Society, to take care of the matter, right?"
Genryusai stared at them for a few seconds.
"Yes, that's exactly it." said Genryusai.
"You mean, you want us to do the dirty work for you." said Ichigo.
"Ichigo!" said Rukia scolding him for being disrespectful.
"Believe me when I say that if it were up to me, we would solve it ourselves, but this could end up affecting the entire Soul Society as well as the balance between life and death, which would affect the human world and I highly doubt you want that to happen, right?" asked Genryusai.
"Tsk." expressed Ichigo seeing that he was right about it.
"I know it might be annoying, but you wouldn't be being asked by the captain-commander himself if it wasn't something important." said Renji.
Ichigo was a little annoyed that he was being ordered to do what the 13 divisions couldn't do on their own, but he had to admit they raised good points.
Genryusai Yamamoto, the captain-commander of the 13 divisions was asking for his help personally, without sending anyone to communicate it to him as a messenger.
If he was doing that, the matter was much more serious than one could imagine and if that matter really affected everything and everyone, he wouldn't stand idly by and do nothing.
"*Sigh* Okay. We accept the mission." said Ichigo.
"Glad to hear it." said Genryusai.
"What exactly do you want us to do?" asked Chad.
"Fortunately, we were able to detect their current location, but given our situation with them, we can't make any moves unless they do it first, which hasn't happened yet. You will have to go to that location and take them out before their influence spreads beyond what we can handle." said Genryusai.
"Is the identity of the remaining members of that revolutionary army at least known?" asked Uryu.
"Yes." began Genryusai before showing the image of a large-breasted young woman with long hair tied into a ponytail.
"Kasumi, former member of the Kido Squadron of the 4th division." said Genryusai before showing the image of a silver-haired young adult with a ponytail and glasses.
"Ruhood, former member of the 2nd division." said Genryusai before showing the image of a bald man with a beard.
"Vighor, former member of the 9th division." said Genryusai before showing the image of a humanoid bull with large horns, gray skin and long black hair (Similar to Kai from Kung Fu Panda 3).
"Kailung, former member of the 7th division." said Genryusai before showing the image of a tall muscular man with a small scar on his right cheek, waist-length dark hair tied in a bun and adorned with two pheasant tail feathers resembling golden antennae, he also has a goatee, but no eyebrows, plus a toothy smile with shark-like teeth (Similar to Lü Bu).
"Bulu, former member of the 11th division." said Genryusai before showing himself on screen again. "That's all of them. Again, take care of them as soon as possible and be cautious."
"Cautious?" asked Orihime in confusion.
"When we faced them the first time, they showed strength and skill that they hadn't shown until now. Which makes us assume that they've been getting stronger all this time in order to be able to take us on. We don't even know how much strength they actually have now." said Genryusai.
"We'll take that into account." said Ichigo.
"Ok. Good luck." said Genryusai before the connection went dead.
"Why didn't you ever tell us that? Especially after Ichigo got his powers back." said Orihime to Rukia.
"It was the captain-commander's orders, since we didn't know if they were watching you or us." said Rukia.
"Is that why you gathered us here and put up that barrier?" asked Chad.
"Yes, it was to keep them from finding out we were asking for your help." said Renji.
"Well, I guess it's too late to back out now." began Uryu before adjusting his glasses. "We should get to that location as soon as possible."
"He's right. Let's go." said Rukia.
"Wait, are you coming with us? Why?" asked Ichigo.
"For two reasons. The first is to prevent you from causing unnecessary trouble." said Renji, much to the annoyance of the substitute shinigami.
"And the second is because the captain-commander asked us to at least try to negotiate with them to try to avoid a confrontation." said Rukia.
"Are you sure that will work?" asked Chad.
"There's nothing wrong with trying." said Rukia with a shrug.
With all said and done, Rukia thrust her sword into the air, as if piercing through something invisible and then spun it like a sword.
That caused a door to appear, which, when opened, showed a white light on the other side.
Once the butterfly passed through the door, the others followed and when the last of them crossed the door, it closed and then disappeared from the room.
AN: What did you think of this start? Do you want Rimuru and the others to appear?
Sorry, but you'll have to wait a little longer.
See you later!
