Chapter 6: When You Wish Upon The Stars

At the end of this large speech, the brothers heard something else aside from the Spark's speech far, far away in the distance. Scrunching their eyes, they could just about see specks of red light flying straight towards them.

"What's that cloud of red? And why's it coming here?" asked Oswald anxiously.

"Do not panic. Those are my fellow sparks, bringing with them the wishes you have earnt."

Oswald then followed up with another question. "What's up withthatname? 'Sparks'? Last time I was here, you weren't called that."

The Spark sighed. "We wish to relinquish our grasp on the past, and live in our newfound duty, of which you play a key role in. Wear this orb, and keep it safe. It contains a great power, and we will use it to contact you in the future, when the time is at hand."

"W-what's that supposed to –"

"Alas, our parting moment draws near. Goodbye, you two, and treasure the time you have together. Make memories, have fun, and live your lives with happiness. I assure you, this is not our last meeting."

He spun around in a circle so quickly, you could mistake it for a frisbee spinning. It left a blue trail behind it, and didn't look like it would ever stop. After a moment of dizzying speed, it disappeared, leaving behind a ring. On it was a sphere, coloured red, yellow and blue, all at once, and it seemed to hum ever so gently. Slipping the ring on his index finger, Oswald felt a shiver of warmth travel through his body, before it disappeared.

The Red Sparks had finally arrived at the pair, and explained who they were. They preferred to be called 'Wish Caterers'. There were, apparently, all sorts of Guardians here and there, but this was all too sudden for Oswald and Mickey. The Wish Caterers decided to leave all this be for now.

"We are here to grant you two wishes each." they said together. To be completely truthful, it was a bit creepy, but understandable.

"Ok… so, um, do we just… say it?" asked a bewildered rabbit.

"No, no. Whisper your wish into these bottles. The first one you will use will contain a wish on behalf of another, and the second one is for yourself. These are the only bottles we currently have, so please, be careful." they requested simultaneously.

"Ok… Should I go first?" asked Mickey. Oswald nodded, and so did all the Wish Caterers. The rabbit grimaced, and plucked the levitating bottle out from the air.

Taking a deep breath, he whispered something into the hole of the bottle that he wanted on behalf of somebody, then, he whispered into the wish bottle for himself. Once they were complete, the insides swirled around, until a dark blue liquid appeared in the first bottle, and a light green one in the second.

Mickey went next. He thought for a moment, before whispering his first wish, and then moved onto the second. The liquids appeared in both, the same colour as well. Then Oswald groaned.

"Urgh, I made a mistake. Can I have another wish, please?"

"No, as they are as precious as diamonds. But do not despair, your wish may come true in one way or another."

Oswald muttered something quietly, before saying, "Ok, fine. Be like that."

"Oswald, it's ok. I'm sure your wish will somehow come true." Mickey reassured. Oswald nodded.

"So, how do we use these? Is there some sorta instruction manual?"

"Ha! Ha! Ha!" laughed all the Sparks, creating a slightly eerie moment between them and the toons. It was quite awkward, and honestly, was starting to get quite weird to Oswald. Mickey was slightly shivering, but it was probably due to the cold. Though not likely. "You must drink the liquid. It'll take effect within the second. Use it wisely."

Mickey nodded, then said unsurely, scratching the back of his head, "How do we go back down to the fight? Our friends need us."

"Like this." The Sparks formed a hand, and then clicked the fingers.

SNAP!
