It was a few weeks later into November and Casey knew it was Thanksgiving meaning their family would have a big meal realising it was Ounket's first one since being part of their family getting up gently as her tail was still in a cast but was flying downstairs scampering into the kitchen seeing Rocket and Poppa Marshmallow there along with Punket seeing her sit down at the table wondering what they'd been talking about. "Dad and Grandpa Marshmalliw were telling me some things, you okay sis, your tail's not bothering you." Punket told her drinking coffee impressing Casey. "Nope but I guess we're having a small affair this year since the Dynasty went their seprate ways after Mocket and Shocket kicked the Maker's tuckus." Casey said to her making Punket curious.
"Yes honey just us, Juilet, John, me, you, Poppa Marshmalliw, Rocke and Punket." Rocket told her making her shrug.
"I guess that's okay luscious Itsy and Shocket are having their own Thanksgiving with their kits." Casey replied. She was enjoying breakfast with them knowing the holidays got stressful so would stay out of their fur while they got dinner ready and Punket understood her sister finding it sweet but Poppa Marshmallow smiled as Rocket had a plan as he was inviting Branchie and Oreo to Thanksgiving dinner knowing she was resting knowing RJ still felt bad about that even though Casey told him they were good now hearing Agatha downstairs guessing she and Punket were helping Poppa Marshmalliw with dinner hearing commotion seeing the Thanksgiving turkeyrunninto her room.
"I don't wanna go in the oven, or eaten, hekp." it said astounding her. "Ummmm Beboop turkey, it's okay, I8: not gonna hurt you but how're you talking and running around." Casey askedcurious. "The blonde-haired kit did it, using magic, then I took off when nobody noticed." the turkey told her making Casey in awe even though she knew the turkey would have to relent and be dinner seeing Punket astounded Casey had found the turkey. "He found me sis and he's not happy about being dinner." Casey told her.
"Well he's the most important part of the meal. We can't have Thanksgiving without him." Punket told her.
"That's true, but he said you used magic, and that's how he came alive." Casey told her.
Punket nodded asshe undid the spell, picking up the turkey, telling Casey she saved Thanksgiving making her furry cheeks go pink like when around Oreo which made Punket smile as she left her sister's roon making Agatha and Rocket Senior relieved but impressed Casey had found the turkey only Punket realised her sister wasn't hanging out here with them.
"She's staying out of our fur so we can get dinner ready. This holiday can be stressful so she gets it." Rocket Senior told her.
That made Punket feel sad as Thanksgiving was aboht family like Christmas/Hannukah seeibg Casey grab her skateboard but Rocket Senior knew she was still healing from the injury majingvCasey frown as he stopped her reminding her her tail was still in a cast and skateboarding might not be a good idea right now making her sigh in defeat putting her board away flying upstairs to her room making Punket sigh.
Oreo then showed up, making Rocket Senior chuckle telling her Casey was in her room making the female-kit fly upstairs to Casey's room opening the door seeing Casey listening to music as Oreo hugged her making Casey feel better as she explained to her, making Oreo get it. "Well, your tail's ummmm not healed so it wouldn't make sense to skateboard." Oreo told her. "I guess you have a point Oreo. Ohhh yeah, Punket brought the turkey to life." Casey said making Oreo smirk.
"I can see that, as Punket has magic. I bet it was hilarious Pkus we have to wait until the more nocturnal members of our family wake up." Oreo told her.
"Yep, Oreo he was hiding in my room, and begging not to be eaten." Casey said making her giggle softly at this relieving Punket she was okay.
"Mmmmmm, the turkey smells good, even though he begged me not to let us eat him." Casey told her family. It was evening and the moon had risen so Juilet, John, Rocke and Rocket had awoken but happy to have Thanksgiving dinner but Casey, along with her family were enjoying dinner plus telling what they were thankful for plus Casey alomg with them were thankful for each other pkus they were eating pumpkin pie and enjoying each other but Branchie had made a centrepuece invokving them like the ones Groot had made during the first Christmas on Knowhere which Rocket remembered finding it sweet seeing Casey agreeing.
"I am Groot." Branchie told him. "You're welcome honey, as you're artsy like your dad." Rocket told her making Casey smirk at her.
