Nice chapter. But I was hoping Motoko somehow managed to get out on her own and then run into her rescue party. Perhaps next time, she would have a good extraction plan?

Motoko glanced at her new arms and went back to work grinding stats. Not her physical or weapon related ones, but her crafting and netrunning ones. She had a plan. She also had a car, and her plan featured it prominently.

She recalled an old tv series from her past life about a man with a A.I. self driving car that went around and solved crimes. The car would also come to the man's rescue when called, and she wanted that.

Finally after what seemed like forever, Motoko was done with her project. She looked at the glowing red light that swept back and forth on the front of her armored car as the AI finally finished compiling. She started with a raw kernel of a program that would compile itself, only taking guidance from some of Motoko's memories.

"Hello... car?" Motoko needed to think of a better name for her new AI vehicle friend, "Welcome to existence. How are you feeling?"

A turret popped out of the trunk and the attached, newly repaired HMG started scanning for targets.

Then a soothing baritone voice spoke from her new car, "Eager statement: Point me at the meatbags that are in need of immediate aggressive ventilation."

"It'll do," Motoko shrugged and added, "Me and you are going to be such good friends, Murdercar! There's lots of gang members I wish to 'thank' for my new arms. Let's go find them!"

"Statement: A huge gun and a target rich environment? You spoil me, master. Observation: My bumper does not have sufficient tears of despair and other dead meatbag fluids on it yet, but the night is still young."
