TotallyNotABot: "At first I thought the MC was kinda too brooding and edgy, but the more I read the better it got. I was completely dragged in by chapter 10 and binged till ch 24. I apologize, Tired, I wasnt familiar with yo game.

Grammar is good. The fights read very dynamically and dont drag on too long. Those sweet sweet character interactions and character developments are nice to read (like what Gege took from us) along with the downtime and expansion of the power system (when I catch you Gege). And the plot thickening is getting me hyped for future chapters.

you're truly cooking with this, author. dont stop ᕕ( ᐛ )ᕗ"

Thank you so much for the compliments! I'm not even lying when I say this brought a tear to my eye; don't worry about that holding me back though, I'm gonna keep cooking until my ingredients run out!

I'm glad you're enjoying the character interactions and my expansion of the power system, and I hope you'll continue to enjoy it in the future!

Discipline01: "Giving a gamer system to a guy who knows nothing about games is honestly peak writing"

I wasn't really sure how it was going to go at first, but I think it's turned out very well so far! He will learn more about games in the future, but not much that will affect his fighting outside of trash talk he picks up and certain insults; trust me there will be a lot of trash talk.

"I never knew a test could be so stressful." Itadori slumped over with a tired sigh, eliciting a laugh from Adam and a small smile from Gojo. "Did you have to go through the same thing?"

"Oh yeah, I was really anxious about mine." Adam punched Itadori in the shoulder lightly. "But you're officially a student here now, so who cares!" Gojo ruffled the boy's hair slightly with a grin, nodding along to his other student's point before a notification pinged out from his phone.

"Damn, we gotta get going. Megumi! Get your butt over here so we can get to the station in time." Gojo turned to the moody boy, who'd been perched up against a wall nearby on his phone. "Come on!"

Fushigoro sighed quietly before shoving his phone away and stalking forward. "Doesn't Ijichi's car only have 4 seats? How the hell are they going to fit?" Much to his surprise, Adam was the one to answer.

He raised his hand with an anxious, but apologetic sigh. "Sorry, I'll be sitting this one out. I got called into a meeting with the higher ups." His body went rigid when Gojo slapped a hand on his shoulder and pulled him closer.

"You what?" Thankfully, the anger, no, pure rage, was not directed at him. It was clear to anyone who knew The Strongest Sorcerer that he only kept 'the geezers' alive because they made it easier for everyone to do things. Despite their old school rulings and bullshit conditions, what they had set up worked, and for that and that alone, he'd let them live for a little while longer. It certainly helped that they did anything to not step on each other's toes whenever possible. "Wait here for a second boys, I need to talk to Adam privately." The pair vanished from the spot, barely leaving a trace they'd ever been there in the first place.

Contrary to popular belief, popular being anybody who knew of him, Gojo Satoru did not need to clap to activate his 'teleportation'. In fact, his 'teleportation' was just another factor of his 'limitless' cursed technique; activated usually by clapping his hands in order to simulate folding space between two points. The reason he used clapping usually was because it was simple to keep track of and made him seem slightly weaker than he really was, even if it was just the tiniest, most miniscule bit. Why would he do that? Only one man would know, and he was long dead, even if there was a sorcerer parading his body around. Back to the main point, his 'teleportation' could be activated through any means of squeezing or closing the ends of two points; in this instance, he merely blinked.

The pair appeared at the bottom of the pagoda, Adam barely holding back the urge he had to squirm out of his teacher's grasp. "I'll be fine, I remember them." He said without prompting. Gojo narrowed his eyes seriously in the boy's direction before letting out a short sigh of relief and letting him out of his grasp.

"If you know them, repeat them to me." His voice was serious, but held a sliver of worry behind it the boy could barely sense despite having known the man for over 2 months at that point. Adam glared at him with no small amount of scrutiny, silently asking the man if he really had to do what he'd asked; the silent glare he received in return only cemented the fact he did in fact need to listen.

"One, don't elaborate when you don't have to, they'll keep asking questions until you've shared your entire life story and gained enough ammunition to use on you." Gojo nodded, but held his stare until the boy eventually continued. "Two, be polite unless they annoy you, if they have a problem with whatever I say, they can come to you about it." His stare slightly shifted as a smile morphed his stony expression into a slightly more creepy one. "Three, be smart, scrutinize every word that leaves your mouth before you say it, similar to rule one, they'll pull any bullshit they can in order to get you to spill your guts. Kind of a copy of the first rule, but whatever." Adam frowned as his mind strayed back to the memories he had of their previous conversation regarding the higher ups.

"Adam, this is important. You can worry about your weight later." Gojo snapped his fingers in front of his face, bringing the boy's attention away from the new uniform lining his skin. After their talk about Adam's cursed weapon, he'd seemed to be distracted by something.

"Look, Blindfold, I think I can handle some crafty old geezers. With your plan of masking my abilities in place, it's not like they'll be keen to go anywhere near me until it's too late." Adam's harsh words slowly lost their heat as he took in his teacher's expression. "Fine, I'll remember your little creed."

"Alright, so the first one–"

"I heard the first three, you lost me at the fourth." Adam's hand reached over the side of the couch, not so sneakily rummaging through his teacher's sweets crate.

"Okay, so the fourth thing is that you need to remember who you are." Gojo's face was completely serious as he uttered the next words. "Remember who you are." Adam nodded, unwilling to make a single joke due to the serious expression on his teacher's face. "Since they're always hiding behind reinforced screens, my eyes haven't been able to give me a good idea on what their abilities are. There are 6 of the geezers, and at least 2 of them are Kamo clan members. The other 4 are wild cards, probably made up of some combination of Zenin clan members and prominent geezers from like 60 years ago."

"I'm guessing what you're alluding to is some sort of personality altering thing?" Adam nodded to himself with a cold expression. "But couldn't you just look up some records to see if someone like that existed?"

Gojo shook his head. "Stuff like that is locked for their own little circle jerk group, nobody except for the prime minister could make a request for that sort of information. Of course, if they get too famous, the information kinda comes out on its own; useful abilities like mind reading though? Kept under tight wraps."

"For their own use, right?" Adam sighed quietly in response to the unspoken answer. "Of course, because why would they make useful abilities like that available to the public?"

"The public?" Gojo parroted skeptically.

"I mean, if they just made the public aware of curses and stuff, useful abilities like that could be used for police work or something." Adam reasoned carefully. Gojo gestured for him to continue, and Adam complied with a short sigh, "I just don't know why they're kept hidden from the public. They cause so many deaths…"

"Yes, they do." Gojo nodded. "But how do you think the public would respond if we told them there were an infinite number of murderers around the country ready and waiting for victims while there are only a few people who can handle them."

"But there aren't–"

"We don't have a concrete number, so we can't assure them that there isn't an infinite amount." Gojo ruffled his student's hair with a smile. "I'm glad you think that way though, very progressive."

"Yeah, yeah, so what's the fifth thing?" Adam tilted out of the way of his teacher's grasp.

"Hmm." Gojo planted a hand on his chin. "Keep your wits about you, make yourself seem less threatening than you actually are. You're smart, Adam, so I'm sure you'll be fine."

The room was entirely black. 6 reinforced paper doors hid the elders away from prying eyes and the eyes of their subject. The inner circle was lit up by 4 small lanterns, each of which barely providing enough light for one to be able to see their own hands through the void.

With 3 doors positioned to his left, wrapping around to the front, and 3 to his right, encompassing his back, Adam stood in the middle of the group with a blank stare. His leg shifted slightly as his body tilted into a more comfortable position as he scanned the pale screens diligently; sure, his teacher hadn't seen anything, but that didn't mean there wasn't a possibility he missed something. Adam sucked in a deep breath, recounting the events that had passed since his conversation with his mentor.

The journey to Jujutsu headquarters had been relatively silent, with a representative of the higher ups coming to pick him up instead of a normal manager dropping him off. Not only that, he was forced to sit in the back like it was some sort of police cruiser; of course, the windows were also double tinted so he wouldn't be able to see where he was. He also had to hand in his phone, apparently so it couldn't be traced or anything; they promised he'd receive it back once they arrived, perfectly untouched, but Adam had his doubts about that final part.

After the car ride, he was blindfolded and shuffled into a lobby without a soul around; that wasn't him being proverbial either. Excluding his handler and himself, not a single person could be heard despite the almost 3 minutes it took for him to go from the entrance to the elevator.

Finally, once the elevator finished its almost nauseating long journey to their floor, Adam was ushered into the middle of the circle of screen doors and had his blindfold removed. As soon as he looked back to thank his handler however, he found that they had already disappeared.

The seven people in the room remained silent for several moments. "You called me here, elders?" Adam hesitantly asked, feeling the judgemental stares on his body from behind the screens.

"We've received reports of a certain…recording currently blowing up on social media." A gruff voice said, the sound coming from no certain discernible direction due to the echo. "Despite the name Gojo Satoru being on the report, it seems you had a rather large hand in the day's events."

Adam shifted his weight onto his right foot, raising up a hand to massage his chin. "Not quite sure what recording or day you're referring to, could you please provide me some context?" It was the most respect they'd be getting from him; the way they'd spat his mentor's name, he'd thought they were referring to the devil.

He was forced to wait in silence for several moments before a tablet slid out from the darkness and stopped at his feet. The screen was annoyingly bright when compared to the rest of his surroundings, but Adam kept his complaints on the tip of his tongue as he sent a pair of threads out from his leg to pick them up. "Ah, so that's what this is about." His hands wrapped around the device tightly, the threads that once held it up dissolving into thin air upon his command. One of his hands let go of the device momentarily so he could un-pause the video, the action taking just barely enough time for him to spot the number of views below the video.

"Does this really matter? You can't even see the curse." Adam paused the video before it could ever really begin, much to the surmounting annoyance he was beginning to sense in the room.

"Watch it to see the problem." The slightly higher pitch set that man's voice apart from everyone else. Adam felt a drag on his body and grit his teeth. "Watch the video." His body did as ordered, a sole finger reaching up for the un-pause button.

It was about what he expected, the fight hadn't been all that much in his memory. He'd managed to get the jump on it before it could fully manifest, allowing him to score a strong critical hit that crippled it before the fight even began.

The video started with a girl, one from Itadori's school, rushing to the front of the crowd he'd pushed to one side of the barrier and subsequently wrapped up in strings. "Stay the hell back, all of you! Take a single step forward, and I can't be considered responsible for what happens to you!" His words came out much more panicked and anxious than he'd thought they sounded in his head.

"What's going on? What is that thing?!" A panicked man screamed out, causing Adam to swivel around to see the curse slowly standing up. In an instant, before it could fully gain its bearings, he appeared on top of it and slammed an elbow into its skull.

"Black sparks?! Is there an electrical problem here?"

"What is that monster?!"

"Mom, save me!"

"Why is that kid fighting it?! Shouldn't he wait for the police?!"

Many more hurried exclamations emanated from the crowd as Adam flipped backwards off of the curse's body and shot out both of his hands. "Are those strings?! What is going on?!"

"I'm calling the police, kid, just hold on!"

"I already tried that, there's no service in this bubble!"

"Hold on kid, we'll figure out something!"

The strings forming at the tips of Adam's fingers snapped out, rebounding off of the ground and walls in order to reach their target. With its caved in head, the spirit had no chance of possibly dodging; the strings wrapped around its limbs, and as fast as the fight had begun, it ended. Each of the curse's limbs were torn to shreds as Adam clenched his fists, causing the razor sharp strings to dig straight through its ugly purple flesh.

Of course, to the cameras it just looked like a boy jumping forwards and backwards before striking some gaudy pose that belonged in a children's cartoon. To anyone that was there though, there was a real threat; one so real those that had been there were in the comments supporting the recordings and describing what the curse looked like. Many of them also added that they were tied up by the 'mysterious boy' and left there for almost 30 minutes before their bindings dissolved.

The video itself wasn't too weird by internet standards; most believed it was a crazy promotional piece for a new movie or something despite people's claims at what they saw. It didn't really matter whether people believed it or not though, the fact there was material proving the existence of curses on the internet was enough for the elders to be 'worried'.

"Now that you've seen it, what do you have to say for yourself?" Another male voice hissed, this one slightly deeper than the last with a hint of cynicism behind it.

'Well shit, what do you want to hear?' Adam thought tiredly. 'I can't very well say I don't give a shit, because I have a feeling I'd get my head lopped off for that…what should I do?' A soft frown settled onto his face as he glanced around the room.

"Speak your mind." Adam felt his stomach flip as he opened his mouth to speak, only to chomp down on his tongue roughly when the words began to creep from his throat; the pain seemed to break him from the spell.

"As if." He growled quietly. "It was a necessary precaution to protect the civilians." His right hand raised to wipe away the blood that had begun to dribble from his lips. "I don't regret it in the slightest."

"I see…" Adam was beginning to sense a pattern in the people chosen for the seat of elder; be old, or be old. Secondary condition being that you had to be a man. "You truly are one of Satoru's students."

'And where the fuck do you get off calling him by his first name?' Adam felt his frown deepen as he scanned the panels in front of him. "So what else, or can I go back to my dorm?"

"Watch your tongue!" Adam turned to where the voice came from, the sheer volume behind the yell allowing him to accurately determine its origin point. The boy gingerly flicked up his middle finger in the direction of the panel before twirling around to face his original direction. "See!? This is why I told you all that man should not be allowed to become an educator! Just 4 years, and he's already corrupted so many young minds!"

'More like he gave them freedom of choice, but keep spitting your shit.' Adam reached for his pocket before realizing his phone was still with the representative. "So are we done here?" Without waiting for an answer, Adam turned to leave.

"Stop." His body immediately froze in place, adversely to how a normal person would react, a knowing smirk slid onto his face as he turned back around.

"Yes, wait for a few minutes while we discuss your current grade level." Unlike the angry, or annoyed voices he'd been hearing previously, this one was strikingly calm. "Now, the spirit you subjugated there, can you provide us with an explanation of its features?" The boy bit his tongue, buying just slightly more time for me to weave a tale.

"Explain." Once again, compulsion reigned supreme and he was forced to open his mouth.

'They're getting desperate it seems…am I wasting too much of their time?' A short, wet cough echoed through the room. "Damn…I think I remember it being purple? Not much else besides that, I was focused on other matters." Adam shifted his weight once again, barely registering how the commands he was being given weakened over time. "Look, I'm perfectly comfortable with my grade right now."

"Do you not care for those around you? If you have the ability to protect, it is your duty as someone strong to do so. Your opinion doesn't matter here, this is simply a matter of recording and assigning position." The same angry voice from the same direction as before made Adam roll his eyes.

"I'm not going to overestimate my abilities, elder." He replied carefully. "People's lives are on the line after all, it'd be quite irresponsible for me to take up a mission I'm not ready for."

The elder immediately scoffed, the sound of him hitting something echoing around the room painfully. "As if you actually believe that! You just want to save your own skin!"

"If I agreed, would that really be so much for a young boy to ask for?" Adam replied snarkily. "Look, grade 3 fits me perfectly strength wise. I'm honored that you think I'm worthy of anything more, but I don't share the same thoughts on my abilities." He added calmly.

"Hmm, I see…Be on your way then." Adam took that chance in an instant, quickly making his way over to a newly appeared attendant to have his blindfold replaced; this time he even got earplugs! While he was ushered away, several new quiet conversations began amongst the elders.

Sadly, the string he was using to listen dissolved once he left the room.

'Arrogant old bastards.' Adam thought with a grin. 'You don't even realize how fragile your throne of glass really is.'

"Well at least that mystery was solved." Adam shrugged off his uniform coat and shirt, throwing them on his bed as a reminder to wash them later. "Cursed speech user, and a good one at that. Probably too weak for Gojo to notice their ability, or it was stopped via infinity, or they never bothered using it on him for the sake of secrecy." He pulled out one of his drawers and grabbed a gray tank top. While he was sliding it on, a soft buzzing from his phone alerted him to the fact that Fushigoro was calling him; he quickly slid the bar to pick it up and pressed the speaker button so he could hear the boy while getting changed.

"Hey, Adam, you there?" Said boy could faintly hear a conversation going on in the background, probably between the new student and Gojo.

"If I wasn't, would I have been able to pick up the phone?" Adam replied with a laugh.

"Where are you right now? I can barely hear you." Adam slid down his uniform pants and grabbed a pair of soft gray tracksuit ones.

"Getting changed in my dorm." Seeing as his outfit was complete, Adam snatched his phone off of the bed and held it up to his ear. "That better?" He slid on his in-house slippers while heading to the kitchen.

"Yes…did you even take a shower?" Adam barely froze in his stride before letting out an awkward laugh. "That's disgusting, even if you didn't do anything today, you should still shower."

"I will, I will! Just later." His words trailed off at the end while he opened the fridge and retrieved a can of coffee. "You don't gotta be such a mother hen all the time, Megumi."

"Right, because you will definitely take proper care of yourself if I'm not on your ass about it." Adam rolled his eyes while flicking open the tab of his coffee. "Are you really drinking coffee at…4:30? You won't be able to get to sleep."

"It's a soda!" Adam replied instantly. "And just because cutting off my hand is a weekly thing right now doesn't mean I can't take care of myself." He added immediately.

Sounding thoroughly unconvinced, Fushigoro's voice trembled with a sigh. "Well we got the ingredients you asked for, along with a few snacks for the new kids."

"Kids?!"

"We're not kids!"

Adam barked out a laugh at the immediate responses. "Alright, thanks for that. Do you know what the new one likes in terms of food? I have a few recipes in mind, but I can change a few things up if they have allergies or something."

"Kugisaki, do you have any allergies?" Fushigoro's quick question was answered with a negative. Before he could communicate that thought, Gojo piped up in an almost annoyingly high tone.

"Adam! What sort of bread costs 880 yen?!" Adam narrowed his eyes slightly at the phone.

"What the hell is he on about? The one I sent you was 260." Fushigoro growled in annoyance before answering.

"I know, but the idiot that just asked that question said 'unlimited budget!' which caused Kugisaki and Itadori to go crazy with all sorts of random stuff. For example…" The sounds of fabric being shifted around played through the mic quietly. "Luxury white bread and…okay, who the hell needed 6 packets of candy!?"

"Oh, that one was mine, don't worry about it." Gojo's chipper tone was interrupted by the sound of a plastic bag slapping against his face.

"Don't complain about dumb shit if you're also contributing to it!" Fushigoro said angrily. "Anyway…that bread should be fine for whatever you have planned, right?"

"Uhh, maybe? I'm just not too keen to turn such an expensive loaf into bread crumbs. Whatever, they were just a stock thing anyway; I'll grab another loaf on the way back on Saturday." Adam replied with a wave of his hand, not that Fushigoro could see it.

"Bread crumbs? Why?"

"Schnitzel, I'm planning to make it for Sunday dinner." Adam paused for several moments before continuing. "I guess tonight I'll make up a few beef bowls."

"With pi–"

"With pickled ginger." Adam interrupted. "I'll leave the bell peppers off of yours as well." He added.

"...thanks." Fushigoro replied quietly. "How was the meeting? Gojo didn't give us any details besides saying it was important." Adam chugged down the rest of his coffee and threw it in the bin on the other side of the counter.

"Pretty boring, it was just them grilling me for details I didn't want to share; basically what happened before I fought Sukuna, but you already know all about that." Adam said blankly. "Besides that though, the blindfold and stuff was annoying."

"Yeah…you never really get used to that. Outside of special grade and special grade 1 sorcerers, nobody really knows where the headquarters is located." Fushigoro answered tiredly. "We'll be there in…maybe 30 minutes? Please have a shower before then."

"Blah, blah, blah, you're such a mom." Adam ignored the boy's retort as he hung up the phone. Once he'd flicked up the phone app, he finalized his plans for Saturday before heading towards the showers. His eyes didn't stray away from his goal, even while walking past the newly placed divider that bisected the washroom.

After stripping down, he quickly turned on the water and stepped inside his preferred section, closing the shower curtain behind him. 'I wonder what the new student is like…Fushigoro called them Kugisaki…and their voice sounded feminine. Are we finally getting another female student? That would make 2 I've personally met so far.' He let out a satisfied sigh as he lathered his skin in soap. 'Maybe I should ask Blindfold to introduce me to some of the third years…are there even any fourth years attending here?' Once the soap was rinsed off, he reached for the shampoo bottle and put a healthy amount into his open palm. 'Blindfold mentioned there were some attending the Kyoto school. What were their names…Yashiro? And they had a twin…whatever, I'll probably see them at the sister exchange event anyway.' After rinsing that out and applying some conditioner, he stepped out of the shower with a warm smile on his face.

"Oh! I didn't realize someone else was in here." Adam would never, ever admit that he almost jumped out of his skin when Itadori appeared. With a quick flick of his wrist, Adam sent out a string to bring his towel towards him; luckily, his modesty was still covered by the steam emanating from the booth he'd been in.

As soon as he was sufficiently covered, Adam responded with a small smile. "So how was the mission?" He'd received a text from Gojo earlier saying they were heading towards one before they picked up the groceries he'd requested.

Itadori, who seemed to have no qualms standing around naked in front of his classmate, shrugged. "It was okay, there was a little kid there though…" Adam's eyes widened minutely before returning to a more neutral stare. Itadori didn't seem to mind the look though, as he simply stepped into the shower and turned on the water. "Hey! Did I miss an area for soap or something?"

"Nah, you have to buy your own." Adam grabbed the 3 bottles he'd been using and placed them outside of Itadori's curtain. "Use mine for now, I left em outside."

"Thanks man, I owe ya one!" Adam didn't wait for Itadori to grab them as he left the main area to grab his clothes.

'How did he even miss these?' He grabbed his clothes off of the shelf and slid them back on before heading out into the hall. "Oi, Fushigoro!" He'd accidentally called him Megumi earlier, which was a big no-no if he remembered his Japanese etiquette correctly. Sure, he and Fushigoro were good friends, but Adam would wait for the boy to make the request for him to Adam to use his given name himself.

"Yes?" Fushigoro replied loudly. Despite the length of the hallways and their constantly winding nature, it was almost scary how easily you could hear someone from across the building.

"Are you packing away that shopping?" While Adam closed in on the kitchen with his towel in hand, Fushigoro paused in his packing for a few moments. "Come on, man, I told you not to."

"Hm? What's wrong with him packing?" Adam entered the kitchen with a soft sigh and began to pull things out of the pantry. Gojo, who had posed his question from across the counter, patiently waited for an answer.

"He's super pedantic about this stuff." Fushigoro replied boredly, watching his work be undone. "There was one time when I put the bread inside the flour area, and he went on a whole rant about it."

"Because how do you even fuck that up!?" Adam replied frustratedly. "Like, there is clearly a square shaped spot on the third row of the right shelf, and you just decide to stack it on top of the flour like a tetris brick!" While saying this, he held up the overpriced loaf of bread the group had bought and slid it into a perfectly sized slot on his right hand side. "See! Perfect!"

Gojo glanced between his first 2 students skeptically before finally settling his gaze on Fushigoro. "Aren't you supposed to be the hardass between you two?"

"Not when it comes to the kitchen." He answered with a shake of his head. "By the way, Adam, did you see Kugisaki on your way over?" The boy shook his head in response, deciding to push most of his brain power towards packing away the groceries.

"I caught Itadori on the way to the showers though, he said your mission had some…unexpected bystanders." He said cautiously. "Did you do the mind wiping thing, Blindfold?"

"Nope!" The man shoved his hands behind his head and leaned backwards. "Kids are a bit too underdeveloped for that sort of thing so we just called his mother and gave him a lollipop." He leaned even further backwards, almost perpendicular to the counter at this point; if he hadn't been using his cursed technique to keep him afloat, he surely would have fallen.

"How does it even work? It'd be useful if I was able to mind wipe my enemies." Adam commented with a thoughtful expression. Gojo waved him off with a laugh though.

"It's just sending some cursed energy into an unprepared brain. Unprepared meaning somebody who can't wield cursed energy. The shock sends them into unconsciousness and erases their short term memories." He explained easily with a wave of his hand. "Don't go doing it without my supervision though, you can easily send someone into a coma."

"Right, right; well I'm done with packing." Adam closed the pantry with a flourish, spinning around to grab the beef from the fridge with a small smile. "So why don't you grab the other two so we can talk while I cook." Fushigoro stood up from his seat and began to leave, while Gojo continued to lounge in his seat. "Are you not staying to eat?"

Gojo laughed joyfully before swinging back into an upright position. "Of course I am! What kind of teacher would I be if I didn't stay for my student's first dinner with each other?"

Adam rolled his eyes fondly while turning on the stove. "Then you can go grab whichever person Fushigoro isn't."

"Aye aye captain!" Gojo said cheerfully. With a click of his fingers, he was gone from the stool, leaving Adam alone with his thoughts.
