Chapter 47 is here and 51 is in the works! I had no idea that this would go this far and also develop a following. So thank you all for reading!
To my Co-Author: You have put up with me for six months. I have sent you a present.
Happy Holidays to all. Yeah, its late for X-Mas but work comes first.
Callie looked down at her fiancé and said, "That was just a sample of what you are going to get, once you are discharged and home. I am going to make sure that you are not going to want to leave the bedroom for days so you had better rest up because you are going to need it." She then got up and straightened her clothing before saying, "I am going to send Razor back over here and I am going to spend the rest of the day with Felina, Katerina, and Callista doing all sorts of things that are of no interest to you." As Callie walked away, she made sure that she swung her hips so T-Bone could get a real good view of her tail as she left.
T-Bone sank back into the bed, completely flustered and said, "She must have gotten that from Felina. Although, I like this new side of her, a lot."
The group was in the middle of eating lunch when Callie walked in through the front door. Felina got up out of her seat as soon as she saw her best friend walking over towards the table. She ran over to Callie, and almost tackled her to the ground as she placed her in a tight hug. Felina then said, "You had me so worried. If you had injured yourself out there, I would kill you." She closed her eyes and said, "I don't know what I would do without you in my life."
Callie also closed her eyes as she retuned Felina's hug and replied, "I don't know what I would do without you, either."
Callista took Katerina and Razor's paws in hers, and gave them a gentle squeeze as she watched her granddaughter and her granddaughter's best friend hugging each other tightly.
Razor and Katerina watched as the scene played out before them. They both started to choke up as Felina and Callie showed how much they actually loved each other.
Feilna pulled out of the embrace and took Callie's paw in hers, then led Callie to the table. As they sat down, Callie said, "Razor, T-Bone is awake and they have removed the tube from his throat. I am sure that you two toms have a lot to discuss." She put a little more emphasis on the word 'sure' in order to tell him that she wanted to be alone with the other she-cats.
Razor got up and huffed. He kissed Felina on the cheek before saying, "I can take a hint, ladies. Enjoy your day out!" He walked out of the restaurant, his pockets a little lighter thanks to his fianceé, who now held his wallet in her paws.
Once he was gone, Felina looked at the rest of the group and said, "So, what are we going to do first, the spa or shopping? I have my fiancé's Black Card in my paws, and I plan on wearing it out." She brandished Razor's wallet in her paw as she spoke.
They all looked at each other before saying in unison, "Shopping!" They all got up after Callista insisted on paying for lunch, and left the restaurant. They arrived at Felina's car, piled in, and headed off towards the MegaKat shopping mall.
Once Ulysses arrived back at headquarters, he got out of his car and walked towards the front door. He looked up at the building before entering and thought to himself, "I really should think about retiring." Then he thought about Callista and how much he cared for her, a lot more than he had realized, and how she was always on his mind. He smiled as he saw a vision of Callista, dressed in a wedding gown at the end of the aisle with him waiting at the other end for his beautiful bride. Ulysses shook his head to gently dispel the image before walking through the door.
The desk sergeant saw the commander and said, "The commissioner is waiting for you in your office."
"Great, where is Officer Snow? I need to see him in my office," Ulysses said.
The desk sergeant looked through the patrol reports to see where every officer should be located, and discovered that there was no such officer. He replied, "We don't have an officer by that name on the force, sir."
"We don't have an Officer Snow on the force? So, who was Officer Jones talking about at the Treasury?" Ulysses asked.
"I have no idea, sir. Shall I bring Jones in?" the desk sergeant asked.
"Yes, and have him wait outside my office. Now, if you will excuse me, I have to deal with the Commissioner," Ulysses said as he started walking towards his office.
Ulysses walked into the Officer's Hall and down it towards his office. He stopped and looked at the door with his name on it, sighed, and opened the door.
The Commissioner heard the door open and stood, placing a coffee cup down on Ulysses' desk. He said, "Ulysses, it's been too long. Is your niece Felina still giving you ulcers?"
"No, she has calmed down ever so slightly since she got engaged," Ulysses replied.
"Someone is actually getting her to settle down? Who is the lucky tom?" The Commissioner asked.
"Jake Clawson," Ulysses said back.
"The same Jake Clawson that owns Clawson Technologies? She is going to be one rich she-cat," the Commissioner said as he retrieved his cup and took a sip.
Ulysses had never put two and two together. He knew that Jake was one of the smartest toms in the city, but he hadn't made the connection that Jake was the owner of one of the biggest defense contractors in the hemisphere. He replied, "I guess she will be. Although, I doubt that she cares. She is madly in love with him, and possibly pregnant with his kitten."
"Felina, pregnant? I never thought she was the motherly type. I also thought that she was the type of she-cat that was into other females, but I guess I was wrong about her," the Commissioner said, taking another sip.
Ulysses was now very angry with the Commissioner. He thought to himself, "How dare he think that about Felina! If I didn't have to answer to him, I would hit him so hard that he would be passed out on the floor, for even thinking that!" Ulysses recomposed himself before saying, "With all due respect, if you keep talking about someone that I love and care for as my own daughter with such disrespect, I will be inclined to clean your clock." Ulysses cracked his knuckles to emphasize his point.
"No need for that, Commander. I am sure that she is going to make a great mother to her kitten. I can see the little tyke now, running around in full battle fatigues and combat boots with its mother's attitude. Now, the main reason I am here is I have received several complaints about a patrol car driving recklessly through the city. You wouldn't know anything about that, would you Commander?" the Commissioner asked.
"Yes, I would. A citizen had been injured during the conflict at the treasury, and I was driving her home," Ulysses replied as he clenched and un-clenched his fists, trying to quell his anger while purposely leaving out the part about his passenger being the Deputy Mayor and Callista's granddaughter.
"That's fine that you want to be civic minded, but you can't drive like an overly hormonal teenager whose girlfriend just said she'd sleep with him for the first time! You are supposed to lead by example, Ulysses. How are you supposed to do that if you are acting just as bad as a new graduate from the academy? I don't know if I should commend you for helping out another citizen, or bust you back down to street patrol. Next time that you feel the need to use your patrol car as a taxi, have a patrolcat do it instead. Then we won't have to have this conversation again. Am I clear?" the Commissioner said rather angrily.
Ulysses started to grind his teeth together in frustration at the Commissioner as he said without opening his mouth, "Crystal."
"Good, you have worked hard for far too long to get where you are now, and I don't want to see you throw it down the drain," the Commissioner said as he left, slamming the door behind him.
Ulysses watched the door slam and relaxed his jaw. He walked around behind his desk and opened the top left drawer. He took out a form and placed it in front of him. Ulysses looked at the form and read the header. It read, "Application for Retirement Benefits". He asked himself, "Am I really too old to be doing this anymore, and am I ready to retire and be able to rest after 45 years of service to the city?" His questions sat heavily on him. Then he thought about Callista and the vision that he just had earlier with her walking down the aisle. "Am I being selfish, wanting to leave this place and this job, and spending the rest of my days with the she-cat that I am obviously in love with?" he wondered. Then he realized he was smiling again at the thought of being married to Callista and the life he was going to share with her as he started filling out the forms.
Felina, Callie, Katerina, and Callista were driving along the streets of the city, not having a care in the world as Felina drove with the windows open and the radio blasting. They all were laughing and carrying on, just like teenagers out for a day. Felina pulled into the parking lot of the mall and shut the car off. They all got out and looked at the glass doors before Callie said, "My second home. Shall I show you around some of my favorite stores? Oh, and Felina, I hope your trunk is empty, because we are going to fill it up with all sorts of things."
Felina walked over to the rear of the car and opened the trunk. She looked inside and saw it was mostly empty, except for her trusty sniper's rifle that was locked and mounted to the trunk's floor. Felina closed the trunk and replied to Callie, "It's mostly empty; we should still be able to fit a lot of bags and stuff in there." Felina walked around to Callie, hooked her arm around hers, and said, "Lead on, Deputy Mayor. This is going to be so much fun! Four hot she-cats out for a day of shopping. I bet that we are going to turn at least a few toms' heads as we walk around and Heck, we might even find Katerina a date, or at least someone to try to tame for a few hours." She turned and winked at Katerina.
As they entered the mall, they did manage to turn a few of the tom's heads, just as Felina said they would. The toms' dates or significant others were not happy about their husbands or boyfriends watching the four she-cats walk by with their heads held high, and their tails swinging back and forth. They entered the first clothing store that they came across, which was a casual clothing store designed for younger females. Felina, with her arm still firmly hooked around Callie's, led her towards the racks that held more daring clothing lines, while Katerina and Callista headed towards the racks that contained more modest clothing.
Felina eyes locked onto a dress that was sure to knock Jake and Chance speechless. The dress was a short, form-fitting, strapless black dress that was partially backless. From what Felina could tell by the mannequin that was modeling the dress, it fell about three or four inches below the hips, exposing most of the mannequin's legs. She led Callie over to the rack that was near the mannequin and started flipping through the dresses that were there, trying to find one that was her size, and one that would fit Callie.
Callie, on the other hand, looked at the dress Felina was interested in, and could not imagine herself wearing something so revealing in public. She was getting bolder with her choices in clothing, but nothing close to what Felina was willing to wear.
Felina finally found what she was looking for and held up two dresses. She said, "Come on, Callie! Chance is going to be released from the hospital soon, and you will want to have him see you in something that is going to send him back there. After you are done playing with him for several hours, that is." She led Callie towards the dressing rooms , then shoved Callie into one, only waiting long enough to Callie to turn around before throwing the dress at her. Felina said, "You are not coming out of there until you have that dress on and are prepared to model it, so get changed and get back out here!"
Callie hit the back wall of the dressing room with a thud from Felina's not so gentle push, and when she turned to glare at her friend, she was cut off by the sight of a bundle of cloth sailing through the air. She caught it just in time, and the dressing room door clicked closed. Callie shook her head, realizing that it would be pointless to argue with Felina, since she was not going to let her leave the dressing room until Felina got what she wanted. Callie removed her shoes and stripped down to her underwear. She stepped into the dress and pulled it up over her hips. Then she placed the top half of the dress over her chest, took a look at herself in the mirror, and discovered that she did not look half bad. Yes, it was very tight and showed off every curve of her body. It also showed off the outline of her panties, which was something that she would have to fix. If she kept it, that is. Callie turned and looked at her back in the mirror. The dress did very little to hide her backside, and the upper part of her back was exposed, so wearing a bra with the dress was out. She hoped that her breasts were going to be enough to hold the dress up. She walked out of the dressing room to be judged by her best friend.
Felina was looking through the bins of lacy underwear that were in the vicinity of the dressing rooms when she heard Callie exit the dressing room. She turned and saw Callie trying to pull the hem of the dress lower with her paws, but the dress' hem went back to its original place high on her thighs once she stopped pulling on the material. Felina said, "Chance is not going to be able to keep his paws off of you when he sees you in that. If you weren't already pregnant with his kitten, you would be after he was done with you."
"You already know that I am pregnant? Who told you? I was going to tell you later when we were alone," Callie said as she crossed her arms under her chest and placed her weight on one leg, jutting her hip out.
"Callista mentioned it during lunch. I am sure that she didn't mean to spoil your surprise," Felina said as she took out her phone and took a picture of Callie in the dress. She then sent the picture to Jake before saying, "Just giving Chance a little preview of what's waiting for him when he gets out of the hospital."
Razor was sitting next to T-Bone in his room, when his phone signaled that he had received a message from Felina. He took out his phone and opened the message. It read, 'For T-Bone's eyes only'. Razor handed the phone to T-Bone and said, "This is for you."
T-Bone took the phone from Razor and opened the message. He saw the image of Callie standing there in a short, form-fitting dress that did little to hide her body, and he felt his temperature rise as his eyes wanted to leave his head. As he handed the phone back to Razor, he said, "Those two she-cats are going to be the death of us, buddy. Although, I think we will enjoy it."
Razor had no idea what T-Bone was talking about as he took his phone back and looked at the image that T-Bone left displayed. He turned bright red as he saw Callie wearing a dress that had obviously been picked out by Felina.
"That photo will make sure Chance gets back on his feet. Especially now that he knows what is waiting for him once he gets out of the hospital," Felina said.
"You know, you are one evil she-cat," Callie said to Felina as she returned to the dressing room in order to change back into the jeans and shirt that she had been wearing.
Felina replied softly, "I'll do what is necessary, Callie, when it comes to my best friend's happiness." Then she turned and saw a very familiar she-cat. She asked with authority, "Cadet Cassidy! What are you doing here? Do you have a pass to be away from the academy grounds, or are you AWOL again?"
Cadet Cassidy looked towards the voice that had called out her name, and saw that it was her weapons instructor, Lt. Feral. She flinched as she silently cursed and replied, "Lt. Feral, I didn't expect to see you at a shopping mall, and especially in a store like this?"
"Well, I am here now, aren't I? And you still have not answered my question as to why you are here and not at the academy," Felina said as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Lt. Feral, I needed some feminine things that the PX does not carry. I thought that I could easily slip off grounds and slip back in before anyone realized that I was gone, and when off the grounds of the academy, I would appreciate you calling me Tina," Tina replied as she held up several packages that were in her paws.
"That is not going to happen, cadet. I suggest that you get your tail back to the academy before one of the other instructors realizes that you are missing. You are not exactly the easiest cat to miss," Felina said as she looked at the way Tina was dressed.
Tina had on an old t-shirt with a very faded design on the front, a pair of cut off shorts, and a pair of black tights that had several holes in them. She replied to Felina, "Yeah, I know," Tina said with a smirk that bordered on insubordination. "Having me around just takes the heat off my fellow cadets, since the instructors' eyes are on me. I may not dress or act like the other female cadets, but I can outshoot any of my peers at the range, including the toms."
"Tina, that is exactly the reason that every instructor at the academy knows who you are. Besides, your unique ears are a very hard feature to miss," Felina replied.
Tina had a very interesting genealogical make up. Her mother was a lynx and her father was an ocelot. That made Tina a very long-legged she-cat with yellowish eyes and long ears with black tips. Her fur was the same coloring as her father's, and had the same texture as her mother's. She had shoulder-length, semi-curly hair of a deep brown that contrasted with her fur. Tina, though, just had to make herself even more interesting, with two piercings in her left ear and three in her right. She was always in the eye of the male cadets, but she always shut them down. Tina replied, "I can't help that this is who I am, Lt. Feral. I am not going to apologize for being me."
"I don't expect you to, Cadet Cassidy. You actually remind me of how I acted when I started the academy. The other cadets were intimidated by me because of my last name, and the fact that I could out shoot and out run any of them. What I do expect out of you is to do your best in all your subjects, and get along with your fellow cadets. With your aptitude for weaponry, and being able to fix practically anything, you are going to go far. The only thing that you don't excel at is flying, which is why I found you one of the best pilots I know of to pair you up with," Felina said.
Tina cocked her head to one side and placed her paws on her hips as she said, "Why would you do that for me, of all cats? I have been nothing but trouble for the faculty of the academy."
"Because, Cadet Cassidy, I see a lot of myself in you, and you have great potential. Now, since you are here without a pass, I am going to have to take you back to the academy.. after my day out with my friends, that is. So you are going to join us, and not cause any trouble. Understand, Tina?" Felina asked..
Tina was not sure what to make of Lt. Feral at the moment. One minute she had been getting ready to chew Tina's head off for breaking the rules of the academy, yet again, and the next she was ordering Tina to come along and spend the day with her and her friends doing who knew what! Tina said the only thing that would keep her butt out of trouble with the Lieutenant, "I'll stay out of trouble, or at least I'll attempt to, but trouble seems to find me."
Felina placed her paws on her hips and said, "I would expect nothing less from you, Tina. Callie should be dressed by now, and we have more damage to do to my fiancé's credit card."
Callie was leaving the dressing room with her new dress draped over her left arm, when she heard Felina talking to someone named Tina. She followed Felina's voice into the next aisle and saw her talking to a younger she-cat with very exotic markings. Callie stopped in front of them and asked, "So who is your new friend, Felina?"
Felina heard Callie's voice and turned towards it before saying, "Callie, this is Cadet Cassidy, but she prefers to be called Tina." Felina then turned to Tina and said, "Tina, this is Deputy Mayor Callie Briggs, my best friend, and soon to be my kitten's godmother."
Tina dropped everything that she held in her paws as Felina told her that not only was Felina engaged, but also pregnant! Tina said, "You are pregnant and getting married!? When were you planning on telling everyone at the academy?"
"I wasn't going to tell them, at least not until I had to. I give my services to the academy because I enjoy teaching the cadets how to use weapons properly. If you tell them any of this, I am going to have you running until those long legs of yours give out. Understand, Tina?" Felina said as she placed her right arm around Tina and dragged her into a sideways "hug" that left no room for discussion.
Tina gulped after Felina pulled her close, not knowing what Felina was going to do next. She replied back, "It's not my business what you do, Lieutenant. If you don't want to tell the Commandant, I can't force you. Just do me a favor? When you start getting morning sickness, don't get sick at the range. None of us want to see what you had for breakfast."
Callie started laughing at Tina's boldness.
Both Felina and Tina turned to face Callie. Then Felina asked, "Ok, Deputy Mayor, what is so funny?"
Callie replied in between bouts of laughter, "Felina, are you too blind to see that Tina is exactly like you? If it wasn't for her fur coloring and her ears, I would think that she is your sister!" Callie continued laughing after she finished speaking.
Felina and Tina turned, faced each other, and without any spoken words, nodded at each other and smirked. They turned, faced Callie, and slowly walked towards her. Once they were close enough to grab her, they each took an arm and lifted her in the air so her feet could not touch the ground. They led her towards the store's checkout. Felina paid for their purchases with one paw, while continuing to hold Callie up in the air with her other paw.
Tina said to the clerk, while holding Callie up with both paws, "I'll be back for my packages that I left back by the dressing room. That is, after my 'sister' and I give Blonde here a little payback."
They carried Callie out of the store and down the mall. Several other mall patrons looked on as Callie struggled in protest while Felina and Tina carried her through the mall. They carried her to a kitten's play area that had a deep ball pit. Once they neared the ball pit, Felina said to Callie, "Madam Deputy Mayor, my sister and I welcome you to your new city!" Then Felina and Tina threw Callie into the ball pit. The balls went everywhere as Callie hit the pit and sank down into it.
Both Felina and Tina looked at each other, smiled, and then broke down and laughed hysterically, tears forming in their eyes from laughing so hard.
Once she had regained her footing, Callie stood up in the ball pit. She really wished she could just use her powers to zap Felina and Tina into the ball pit with her, but they were in public, and she wasn't in her SWAT gear, so she had to restrain herself. The only thing she really could do was glare, blowing a few strands of hair away from her face as she crossed her arms under her chest. She then said, "Like I said, sisters in every way. Can you two please get me out of here?"
Felina calmed down just enough to ask Tina, "What do you think, sis? Shall we help the Deputy Mayor out, or just let her pout like a kitten who didn't get its way?"
Tina was just following Felina's lead and did not want to get in trouble with the Deputy Mayor of the city, but she had never seen Felina's playful side before, and she was having a lot of fun with her. So Tina decided to play along with Felina for a while longer. She replied, between her bouts of laughter, "I don't know, Felina. She looks awfully content in her new city. I would not doubt that she will have the citizens under control in no time." Tina pointed to several young kittens entering the ball pit while their parents looked on.
Callie held her paws up in frustration and said, "I give up. I just can't win against the both of you. Now will you please help me out of here?"
Felina and Tina walked over to the edge of the ball pit and extended their arms in order to help Callie out of the pit. Once she was out, she gave them both a stern look before walking back towards the store they had previously been in.
Both Felina and Tina saw the way Callie looked at them before walking away, and Tina asked, "What's with her? I guess she does not like our version of fun."
"I am trying to loosen her up a little at a time, Tina. She almost lost her fiancé recently, I guess she's not 100% over it yet. Let's catch up with her and try to be nicer to her for the rest of the day," Felina replied.
Callista and Katerina found a few blouses and skirts that they both liked. They held the clothes up to their bodies and liked what they saw. Callista turned towards the jewelry counter, and a choker caught her eye. She walked over to the counter and took a real good look at the choker through the glass case. Katerina followed Callista over to the case, and saw what Callista was staring at. She said, "You need to buy that, Callista. It would look absolutely gorgeous around your neck."
A female sales clerk came over and asked, "Can I help you two ladies with something?"
Callista was too mesmerized by the choker to respond, so Katerina replied, "My friend would like to see that choker."
"Certainly," the clerk said as she opened the case and took the choker out so Callista could take a closer look at it. The choker was made from a 1 inch piece of matte, emerald-colored silk that was mixed with spandex so it would maintain its shape. It was adorned with some sort of crystal or diamond that was cut into the shape of a puma's head. The clerk asked, "Would you like to try it on, miss?"
Callista was so focused on the charm in the center of the choker that she really didn't hear the clerk.
Katerina gave Callista a slight nudge with her elbow to break Callista out of the spell that the charm had cast on her.
Callista snapped out of her trance, and replied to the clerk, "Yes, please."
The clerk handed the choker to Callista, and Callista put it around her neck. She took a look in the mirror that was sitting on the display case and loved what she saw. Callista took a step back, turned to Katerina, and asked, "What do you think?"
Katerina took a good look at Callista's neck and how the choker's charm landed just perfectly in the center of her breastbone. The charm's eyes glowed, reflecting the light, drawing attention to both itself and the neck of its wearer. Katerina thought to herself how Callista was already naturally beautiful, but the choker just added a touch of old school class to her beauty. She answered, "Callista, you look amazing with that on. You are going to have a very hard time keeping the tom's eyes focused on anything but your neck, once he sees you wearing that."
"You really think so?" Callista asked as she looked at herself in the mirror again.
"Da, you look absolutely gorgeous. You need to buy that choker. If you don't, I am going to have Callie admit you to the hospital to have your head examined," Katerina replied as she leaned against the display case.
Callista smiled like a teenaged kitten getting her first piece of real jewelry. She turned to the clerk and said, "I'll take it!"
"Splendid! Shall I box it up, or would you like to wear it?" the clerk asked.
"I'll wear it, if you don't mind," Callista said as she looked at herself one more time in the mirror.
"Not at all, miss; I will ring that up for you. Just give me a minute," the clerk said, then turned to the register behind her and started to ring up Callista's purchase. Once she was done, the clerk handed the sales slip to Callista, saying, "I feel sorry for the tom that is going to see you wearing that choker. It looks so beautiful on you, I have a feeling that he is going to be speechless once he sees you wearing it."
"Thank you, that is one heck of a compliment," Callista said.
"You are welcome, miss, and I am just telling you the truth. That tom is going to either go wild when he sees you, or turn tail and run because he is not worthy of your exquisite beauty," the clerk replied.
Callista had no idea what to say, so Katerina spoke for her, "Thank you, miss, for helping my friend here. Come on, Callista. Felina has been left alone with Callie long enough that I am almost sure they are getting into trouble by now. We had better find them." After Katerina finished speaking, she took Callista by the arm and led her towards the front of the store.
End of Chapter.
