Persival was sitting in the living room of Callista's apartment, watching a live feed on the TV of the jaguar's enclosure from the zoo. He stared intently at Isis sunning herself while lying on a rock. She was so attractive, in his eyes, that he could not tear his gaze away from the screen.
Callista appeared in her apartment's hallway and called, "Persival, I am home." Not hearing a response, she started searching for him. Since the apartment was not that big, she found him after a few minutes, lying on the floor in front of the TV, watching a live feed from the zoo. As she got closer to the screen, she finally got a glimpse of what held Persival so spellbound. She then turned to Persival, who had the look of a lovestruck kitten on his face. She got down on her knees and gave Persival a good scratch behind the ears before saying, "Now I know why you didn't answer me when I arrived home. You really like her, don't you, Persival?"
The spell that Isis' image had on Persival was broken as soon as Callista scratched him behind the ears. He always loved the way she scratched him. He let out a contented purr, then answered, "I am sorry, mistress, that I did not answer your call. I guess you could say I was distracted by a pretty female. It will not happen again."
"It's alright, Persival. I know what it is like to be in love. I just wish I had thought of whipping up a camera to take a picture of your face as you stared at Isis' image. You looked just like Ulysses did when he first saw me," Callista said, before giving him another good scratch, this time under his chin.
Persival let out another purr as she scratched him. He then got up and turned so he could look directly into her eyes and said, "Please do not compare me to him. You may care for him, but as far as I am concerned, he is someone who could potentially hurt my family. That is something I will not allow, period. If he hurts you or your granddaughter in any way, he will answer to me, and he will not like what I do to him." He flexed his muscles and stretched out his wings, just to prove to Callista that he was deadly serious about protecting her and Callie.
Callista backed off just a hair and watched as Persival put on his display in front of her. She stood up and said, "You do not have to worry about Ulysses, Persival. He and I had a long talk, sort of, and he does love me as much as I love him. Besides, Amelia taught me how to take care of myself, and if he tries to hurt me or Callie, we know how to handle ourselves." As she was talking, her eyes developed an eerie glow.
Persival saw Callista's eyes glowing and he folded his wings tightly against his body as he started to cower. He had never seen her eyes glow that color before, and he knew she meant business. He said nervously, "I have no doubt that you can take care of yourself, mistress, but can you please turn off that glow? It is scaring me."
Callista stopped using her powers to make her eyes glow. She got back down on her knees and gave Persival a gentle pat on the head between his ears. She said, "I did not mean to scare you, Persival. I didn't even know that you could be frightened of a little she-cat like me."
"Mistress, you may be small, but I am always in awe of what you can do. I never want to be on your bad side," Persival said as he relaxed.
"You never have to worry about being on my bad side, Persival. I know that you are always looking out for me and my family, and I appreciate it.. a lot. Now, I am going out for dinner with Ulysses tonight, and then again on Saturday. I don't think he is ready to meet you just yet, so how would you feel about heading out to the house this weekend and having a date with Isis?" Callista asked.
Persival perked up as soon as Callista asked if he wanted to see Isis. He answered, "Of course I want to see her! I want to find out if she really wants to be with me. I really hope that she does, mistress. I have never felt as happy or content as when I was with her back at the zoo."
"Persival, are you telling me that you are not happy here with me and Callie?" Callista asked, obviously shocked.
"Of course not, mistress! I have loved spending time with you, and especially watching Callie grow from a kitten to a teenager. Nothing can replace how I feel about you and Callie. What I feel for Isis is very different than what I feel for my family. I love her as a potential mate, and a mother of my cubs," Persival said as he turned his head away from her in shame.
"I am glad that you might have found someone to be with, Persival. Isis is one lucky jaguar to have your love. You have always been the most devoted friend and companion I could ever want, and I hope she feels the same way about you. There is one catch about your little date, though. Callie has promised a play-date with Sarah this weekend. So she will be there with you and Isis, and hopefully Chance will be released from the hospital by then so he will mostly likely be home with Callie. You are going to have a full house to deal with," Callista said.
Persival had been hoping he would be alone with Isis, so he could really talk to her without anyone else around, but that was not going to be the case. He replied, "I will do what I have to do, mistress." He perked up as it occurred to him that if he played with Sarah, he could prove that he would be a good father to his future cubs. Persival said, "Milady, if Sarah is a nice little kitten, I will enjoy playing with her just like I played with Callie when she was that age. I just hope she does not try to dress me up. That was not something I enjoyed very much."
"But Persival, you looked so adorable with a big bonnet on your head and wearing doll clothes. Then again, you were much smaller," Callista said.
"I don't think those clothes would fit me anymore. I will find other things to keep Sarah entertained and happy while she is with us," Persival said.
Callista got up and looked at the time. She then said, "I have to go and do a few things down in the shop. Care to keep me company?"
"Nothing would give me more pleasure, MiLady," Persival replied.
The two walked down the stairs to the shop.
Ulysses arrived back at the office. He parked his car in his assigned spot, shut the car off, and got out. As he was walking towards headquarters, a very unpleasant voice caught his ears.
"Commander, I need a word," Lt. Steele said.
"What do you want, Steele? It's been a very trying day, and I would like it to end soon," Ulysses said with a gruff voice.
Lt. Steele caught up to him, stopped about a foot away, and said, "Sir, you really did a good job handling that scene at the treasury. No one could have handled it better."
"Lt. Steele, by the time I got there, everything was under control. The ones you have to thank are the SWAT Kats. They are the ones who handled the creeplings and stopped Dark Kat's tank from doing any damage. The Enforcers helped mop things up at the end. If it wasn't for Razor, Caliber, and Empress being out there before we were, this would have been a whole lot worse," Ulysses said.
"But Sir, T-Bone and Turmoil were the ones who broke into the treasury in the first place! If they were not working for Dark Kat.."
"T-Bone and Turmoil were NOT working for Dark Kat! Ulysses interrupted. "They were both kidnapped and forced to work with him! Felina would have not stuck her neck out for Turmoil if she did not believe her story," Ulysses yelled.
"Then your niece has been deceived. Snow told me that they were working paw-in-paw for quite some time, and Turmoil was having a very intimate relationship with T-Bone," Lt. Steele said.
Ulysses raised an eyebrow when he heard the name Snow leave Lt. Steele's mouth. He asked, "You have seen Snow? Did you know that there is no such cat on the force with that name? I probably have Patrolcat Jones up in my office right now, wondering why he is there, and you accuse my niece of being deceived by now Cadet Belikov. All of this is because of some cat running around calling himself an Enforcer. I want you to find this Snow and throw his ass in a cell for impersonating an Enforcer. Do I make myself clear, Steele, or do I need to remind you of where you rank?"
"No sir, you don't have to remind me of that. I will do as you ordered. Wait a minute; did you say that Turmoil is now a Cadet at the academy?" Steele asked.
Ulysses crossed his arms over his chest as he replied, "Yes, I did. What of it?"
"Sir, she is a convicted felon. They are not allowed to be part of the Enforcers, as per the rules," Steele said.
"Steele, I know that she is a convicted felon who has served her time and has been reformed. Have you read her prison record? Well I have, after my niece told me about the Warden and Parole board going along with her plan of making Ms. Belikov a cadet. From what I read, she is going to be a valuable asset to the force once she graduates," Ulysses said.
"It figures that Felina would have something to do with that. She was never one to play by the rules, and if it wasn't for you being her uncle, I doubt she would be in the position she is now. She would be a meter maid downtown, probably, instead of a Lieutenant," Steele said rather bravely.
Ulysses uncrossed his arms and grabbed Steele by the collar of his coat. He pulled Steele to him and said, once Steele was about two inches from his face, "How dare you insult Felina like that! She worked her tail off for everything she has, and that includes her position in the Enforcers! If Felina thinks that Cadet Belikov deserves to be given a chance at being an Enforcer, then I am going to back her up 100%. Not because I am her uncle, but because she has earned the respect of everyone around her and goes above and beyond the call of duty every time she does something. That is why I have recommended her to take my place when I retire next year!"
Steele was riddled with fear, since he knew that the commander could squash him like a bug if he wanted to. He replied, "You can't recommend her to take your place! There are other officers with higher rank that deserve your job."
"Yes, there are others who want my job. Although, they don't have the passion or the stones to do it. It takes a certain type of cat who will put their personal feelings and opinions aside in order to make the best decisions for the force, and none of the officers who outrank her have those qualifications. She is my choice to take command, and nothing is going to change it." He let go of Steele, and then said after Steele fell to the ground, "Now go find this Snow and arrest him, NOW!"
Steele got back up and scampered away, saying, "Yes, sir."
Ulysses watched as Steele ran away with his tail between his legs. "Serves you right for insulting my niece, Steele," he said as he continued his journey towards his office.
He arrived a few minutes later. His secretary said as she looked up from her screen, "Jones is in your office, and he looks very nervous."
"Thank you, Alice," he replied before opening the door.
Jones was sitting in a chair in front of Ulysses' desk. He was definitely nervous. He had never done anything to be called before the commander before, and yet there he was, sitting in the office of the tom that he admired most on the force. Jones heard the door opening and shot to his feet, standing at attention and saluting Ulysses as he entered.
Ulysses saw the way Jones saluted him, and Jones' body language told him that he was very nervous about being there. Ulysses said, "At ease, patrolman, and take a seat please."
Jones did exactly as Ulysses commanded and took his seat again. He asked, "Sir, why am I here? I was only told that you wanted to see me and nothing more. Did I do something wrong, sir?"
Ulysses took a seat behind his desk, looked Jones in the eye, and said, "No, son, you have not done anything wrong. I just need to know a few things about the incident at the treasury, especially about this Snow that everyone keeps bringing up."
"What do you want to know, sir?" Jones asked.
"First, did you know that there is no cat on the force with that name?" Ulysses asked has he crossed his arms on his desk.
"No, sir. He had all the proper credentials and IDs, so I thought that he was from another precinct and just helping out," Jones replied a little more nervously than before.
"Relax, Jones. You were not the only one to be deceived by this imposter. But what did he say to you, exactly?" Ulysses asked.
Jones had to think about it, since the incident at the treasury had happened a few days ago. He looked away from Ulysses as he thought of the exact words that came out of Snow's mouth. After a few minutes, he looked back at Ulysses and replied, "Snow said that Turmoil had seduced T-Bone, and they were both willingly working for Dark Kat since he was letting them, as Snow said, 'screw each other's brains out daily in his lair.'"
"What if I told you that what Snow said is a complete lie? T-Bone would not sleep with Turmoil, ever, since he is engaged to Empress. I have seen the way T-Bone acts around Empress, and I can honestly tell you, Jones, that they are hopelessly in love with each other. T-Bone does not strike me as the type of tom to stray from the love of his life, would you agree?" Ulysses asked.
Jones had no idea what to say. He had seen Empress with Razor, and then with Caliber on the streets, and had to admit that she was one of the hotter she-cats in the city. Between her form-fitting uniform and her long blonde hair, he wanted to ask her out on a date, himself. He replied to Ulysses, "I will have to take your word for it, Commander, since I do not know him that well, but if I were in his shoes, I would not step out on that hot of a she-cat, and especially not one that would cause me extreme physical discomfort if I did."
Ulysses was about to crack a smile, but he restrained himself since he had to maintain composure around his subordinates. He just said, "Jones, I want you to find this Snow and throw him in jail for impersonating an Enforcer. Is that understood?"
Jones got up and saluted Ulysses before saying, "Yes, sir." Then he lowered his arm to his side and walked out of Ulysses' office.
Ulysses leaned back in his chair as he thought of what Jones said to him. He smirked after Jones left as he thought, "Sure, Callie is beautiful, and as Empress she can be very dangerous, but Callista is the only she-cat for me. I can hardly wait until she is my wife and Callie is my granddaughter."
The four she-cats walked through the doors of the Galleria and took in the light tan marble floors and crystal chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, lighting the mall's interior, as well as the skylights that lined the ceiling. The air was warm and humid, unlike the other mall where it was warm, but dry. They all stopped at a kiosk with a map of the mall displayed in full color. Each different type of store had a different color marking on the map to help the shopper find exactly what they were looking for.
As they stared at the map, Felina said, "We only have about an hour for this shopping trip, girls, so I can get back and make sure that my fiancée is actually ready for our dinner date instead of working on a project. So where to first?"
"I need some casual clothing and some other items. I would also like a nice dress for when I am able to go out on a date," Katerina said.
Tina took Katerina's paw in hers while saying, "You and I will go find the clothes that you want, and then I can find something to wear at night, since all of my sleepwear is very heavy and I am sure that Felina's apartment is going to be warmer than the barracks at the academy. See you two back here in about an hour." Tina led Katerina off towards the other end of the mall, leaving Callie and Felina standing at the kiosk.
Callie and Felina watched Tina and Katerina disappear into the crowd. Felina turned to Callie and said, "Chance wanted a sandwich or something from Marty's deli for dinner. Jake was going to deliver it to him, but he and I are having dinner with my uncle and your grandmother to discuss the SWAT thing. I am sure you would not mind making a delivery to your fiancée?"
"I was planning on going to eat dinner with him anyhow, so I would not mind at all," Callie replied.
"Good, there is one little catch. Apparently, he had a date with Sheila that he forgot about once you two started dating, and he never cancelled or called her to explain why he stood her up. Would you mind apologizing for him?" Felina asked.
Callie now had a perturbed look on her face. She could not believe that Felina was asking her to apologize to another she-cat for Chance skipping out on a date. But Callie took the high road instead of getting angry and said, "I'll do it, but my fiancée had better have a very good reason for not telling me he had a date with another she-cat while he was dating me. Otherwise, he going to lose something he is going to need if he is planning on having more kittens in the future."
"Whoa! Calm down Callie. Like I said, he had asked her out on a date before you two started dating. Just explain to her that you two are engaged, and I am sure she will forgive him. Well, at least I hope so. Or she is going to throw something either very heavy or very sharp at him when she sees him next," Felina said as she tried to calm Callie down.
"Alright, Felina, I will talk to her for Chance, but he had still better come clean to me, or he might not be getting married. Let's get shopping. I have a couple of things in mind to make sure that my future husband's mind is always going to be focused on me instead of other she-cats, and I am going to need your help with picking out," Callie replied as a slight blush crossed her face as she thought of what kind of items would make Chance's eyes pop out of his head when he saw her in them.
Felina saw the way that Callie started to blush, and sort of knew what she wanted to buy. She smiled at her friend and said, "I will let you take the lead on this, Callie, but I reserve the right to veto anything you pick out. We already have a dress that is going to make him speechless when he sees you in it. Now we need to find some accessories to go along with that dress. Lead on, girlfriend. We are out on a mission to make your fiancée think that you are nothing short of a goddess in his eyes, and one that should be worshipped properly, if you get my drift." She winked at Callie, who was now wondering what she had just gotten herself into.
As Callie led Felina through the mall, she stopped at a few stores that sold makeup, stockings, and various pieces of lingerie. Callie picked out more modest items from the bins of clothing, while Felina picked out racier items that she thought Callie would look great in.. for as long as she had them on once Chance got his paws on her, that was. The only item that they actually fought over was a red, silk, laced teddy that was so high cut in the leg and so low cut in the chest that it was almost pointless to wear it. As usual, Felina got her way, and Callie ended up buying the teddy, as well as a pair of thigh –high leather boots to go along with it. Callie looked at the box that contained the boots and thought, "What is Chance going to think when he sees me in this get-up? Is he going to think I am spending too much time with Felina and she is rubbing off on me in a very bad way? Then again, I only have a few months to wear this, anyway, before I start to show, so I might as well let him have his fun."
The group met at the entrance of the mall almost exactly an hour after they had separated. Both Tina and Katerina held about six bags a piece in their paws, while Callie and Felina only held five bags for both of them, most of the bags being Callie's.
As they left the mall, Tina heard the scream of a she-cat from the parking lot. She dropped her bags and grabbed Katerina's paw before sprinting off towards the source of the scream.
Katerina was not sure what was happening. All she knew was that Tina had grabbed her paw and was running towards the parking garage as fast as she could with her in tow. Katerina dropped the bags that she was holding in order to keep up with Tina.
They entered the garage, and Tina made a bee line for the stairs heading to the second level. Katerina followed her and asked as she ran, "What is wrong, Tina?"
Tina kept up the pace as she replied, "I heard a she-cat's scream coming from up here. I want to make sure she is alright."
They got to the top of the stairs, and as they turned to their right, they spotted a tom struggling with a smaller she-cat over her purse. Tina let go of Katerina's paw and took off running at top speed with a frown on her face. When she got to the pair, she launched herself at the tom with her right paw balled up tightly in a fist, aiming for the tom's face. She hit her mark, hard, causing the tom to fall backwards and let the purse go. His back hit a parked car hard enough to cause a dent.
Tina landed on her feet and crouched down to check on the she-cat. She asked, "Are you alright, Ma'am?"
"I am fine, thank you," she replied.
Tina helped her up just as Katerina arrived. Tina said to the she-cat, "Get out of here and call the Enforcers. I am going to make sure this tom does not get away."
The she-cat started running away from them as fast as she could in heels, while fishing in her purse for her phone.
The tom got up, wiped some blood away from his face, and said, "What hit me?" He turned and saw Tina and Katerina standing there, watching his target running away and holding her phone in her paws. He then said, "I didn't know that a she-cat as hot as you could throw a punch like that. It is a shame that I now have to mangle that beautiful face of yours." He reached into his boot and pulled out a knife before launching himself at Tina.
Katerina saw the tom coming after Tina and said, "I don't think so." She jumped towards the tom and held her two paws together in front of her. Once she was over the tom, she brought her paws up over her head and then brought them down hard into the tom's upper back, bringing him crashing face first down to the ground.
Tina crouched down so she was inches from the tom's face and asked, "How does it feel to have two she-cats kick your tail all over the place?" She stood up, walked up next to Tina, and said to her, "Nice job there, love. I wouldn't have thought of bringing my paws down on him like that." She kissed Katerina's cheek when she was close enough.
Katerina felt Tina's kiss and smiled before saying, "I could not let him mangle the face that I love so much, so I just did what felt right at the time." She kissed Tina on the lips.
The tom looked up, saw Katerina kissing Tina, and said, "I got taken out by two dykes? How I am never going to live this down?" He got up and started to run away as fast as he could in his injured state.
Tina saw him trying to get away and said, "I'll handle this." She started to run after the tom, and once she was close enough, she used her flexibility to jump up and give the tom a roundhouse kick to the temple, knocking him unconscious. As she landed on her feet, she turned to Katerina and asked, "Was that over the top?"
Katerina was very impressed with how Tina handled that tom. She placed her paws on her hips and said, "No, that was not 'over the top', as you said. I think you handled him perfectly."
Tina sauntered her way back towards Katerina, and once she was close enough to place her arms around Katerina's neck and pull herself close enough to kiss her, she whispered, "Good, I hate the term dyke." She then kissed Katerina.
Callie and Felina arrived with all of their bags in their paws in time to see Tina roundhouse kicking the tom and then sauntering her way back to Katerina and kissing her. They both dropped the bags to the ground before crossing their arms over their chests. Callie then said, "What the heck happened up here, and why is it every time we turn to look at you two, you're kissing?"
Katerina pulled back from Tina's kiss, then turned to Callie and Felina, and replied, "The tom that you see passed out on the ground was trying to mug a she-cat. We stepped in and took care of him. Then he made a very disparaging remark about us that Tina didn't like very much. So she let him know how she felt." She turned back to Tina and rubbed her nose against Tina's very affectionately.
Before either Callie or Felina had a chance to reply, the Enforcers showed up to take the tom into custody. Then the female officer saw Tina and Katerina's loving embrace, and her Lieutenant standing next to the Deputy Mayor while her male partner placed the paw cuffs on the tom. She snapped to attention and asked Felina, "Ma'am, what happened here?"
"At ease, patrolman. That tom was attempting to mug another cat when these two cadets stepped in to help out," Felina replied.
The patrolman leaned over to Felina so only she could hear her asking, "So why are they holding each other like that? They look as if they are in love or something."
Felina whispered back into her ear, "Because they are. I certainly hope you don't have a problem with that?"
The patrolman, unfortunately, did have a major problem with them kissing each other. She had been raised in a very religious family. She replied, "I am sorry, ma'am, but I do have a problem with them. I was brought up believing that love should be only between a tom and a she-cat, and any other way is blasphemy. Several other officers feel the same way that I do, and if they keep this relationship going, they are going to be kicked out of the academy."
Felina was now starting to get mad at this patrolman for her very narrow minded views on love. She said, "I am sorry that you feel that way, but this is the 21st century, and who are we to say that love cannot be shared between two of the same sex? Cadet Belikov and Cadet Cassidy obviously love each other, so who are you to say that their love is not the same as the love shared by a heterosexual couple?"
"My personal beliefs tell me that they cannot love each other as a tom and a she-cat could. According to my teachings, love leads to marriage and procreation of the species. None of that is possible if the couple is of the same sex, so they cannot possibly love each other the same as a normal couple," the patrolman said.
Felina remembered what she had been taught in religious classes, and how out of touch those lessons had seemed to her, even back then. She replied, "Those lessons are so out of date that they don't apply anymore. Most of the states recognize same sex unions, and have adopted laws allowing couples to get married and have the same rights as those you call 'normal' couples. They're as normal as any other couple. All I see is their love for each other, and how they are going to make a great couple. Not to mention that they are going to be excellent partners in the sky once they graduate."
"Out of respect for you, lieutenant, I certainly hope you are right and that they make a great partnership in the skies over the city. As for them being a couple, that I cannot accept. They might be some the nicest cats out there, but my beliefs will not allow me to accept them as a couple," the patrolman said.
Tina turned to the patrolman with her right arm tightly wrapped around Katerina's waist and asked, "Can I have your name?"
The patrolman replied, "It's Lisa."
"Lisa, my name is Tina and this is Katerina, and I love her as much, if not more, than you could love a tom. She accepts my sordid past and loves me for who I am. Just as I accept her past and love her for who she is. You are entitled to your opinion of us, and I understand how you feel. However, I hope that no matter how you feel about Katerina and I being a couple, that we can be friends, if not now, but over time as you get to know us better," Tina said.
Lisa turned to her partner, who already had the tom cuffed and was walking him back towards her. She turned to Tina and replied, "Despite what I think about your relationship with Katerina, I do hope that we can be friends also. You do seem like a very nice cat, and you can never have too many friends. By the way, my partner's name is Mark, and we have been dating for the past two years."
"Hi Mark, it is nice to meet you and Lisa. I hope to see you out on the streets soon once I graduate," Tina said to Mark.
The tom was struggling to get free from Mark's hold on him to no avail, since Mark stood about six foot three inches and weighed about 200 pounds of solid muscle from the way his uniform was stretched over his body. He replied with a deep baritone voice, "It is nice to meet you, too, Tina and Katerina. Please excuse me while I get this creep loaded into the car." Mark turned his head to the tom and said, "Let's go, and don't make me carry you and embarrass you more than you already are."
The tom had his head down, and as he was passing Tina and Katerina, he mumbled, "Dykes on the force? The Enforcers must be desperate for recruits."
Mark heard the tom's remarks and forcefully slammed the tom into a cement pillar. He said, "Oops, I must have slipped on something and didn't hear you apologize to Tina and Katerina for what you just said about them." He changed his voice to a low growl before saying, "Or do I have to slip again, and this time I will make sure that you will not be able to walk?"
The tom turned to Mark and yelled, "That is police brutality! You can't do that!"
Mark spun the tom around and lifted him with one hand so he could see the anger in his face before he said, "Try me. There's nothing I'd love more. A tom who doesn't respect she-cats is no tom at all in my book. It's just two little words. I'm sure you can manage that, can't you?" He snarled at the tom to put a bit of fear into him.
The tom knew that Mark could and would hurt him real badly if he didn't do as he asked. So he turned to Tina and Katerina and mumbled, "I'm sorry."
Mark gave the tom a shake and said, "I didn't hear you. Want to try again, or would you rather meet the lower level of this garage the fast way?"
The tom looked to his left and saw the parapet wall with nothing past it but daylight. He gulped and said louder this time, "I am sorry."
Mark smiled and lowered the tom to the ground. He then said, "Now that wasn't too hard, was it? Let's go." He led the tom away.
Felina, Callie, Tina, and Katerina watched as Mark led the tom away as Lisa said, "He is normally a teddy bear and would never hurt a fly. A very large, muscle-bound teddy bear, but a teddy bear none the less." She purred as she watched her boyfriend's hips sway in his uniform as he walked. After Mark disappeared around a corner, Lisa said to Callie and Felina, "He has two brothers that are built just like him, if you two are interested?"
"Sorry, but we are not interested in the least, Lisa. We are engaged to be married to two of the most devoted and loving toms in the city," Callie said as she placed her right arm around Felina.
"Oh well, you would have made great couples. See you back at headquarters, lieutenant," Lisa said as she ran after Mark and the tom.
Katerina watched as Lisa ran after her boyfriend, then she kissed Tina between her ears and said, "Lisa acts just about as bad as a teenage kitten. She was almost drooling as she watched him walking away."
Tina turned her head to face Katerina and replied, "The only one I want to drool over is you, my love. It is a shame they still teach that crap in schools. When is society going to wise up and learn that love is not gender specific?"
"I do not know. What I do know is I love you, and I don't care what others think about our relationship," Katerina said.
Tina turned so she could face Katerina and wrap her arms around Katerina's neck. She then said as she brought her face slowly towards Katerina's, "I don't care what anyone thinks about us, either." She then kissed Katerina deeply.
Callie said, "You two are just about as bad as Felina and Jake are with showing your affection for each other. She almost jumped Jake on my couch when she started dating him."
"I did not jump Jake on your couch, Callie! We were having a deep conversation with our mouths and tongues," Felina replied, a smile making her lips curl mischievously.
"Felina, if Chance and I hadn't walked in on you two, you would have been more than just kissing him on my couch," Callie replied and placed her paws on her hips.
Felina crossed her right arm under her chest and brought her left elbow up to rest on her right forearm. She then brought her left index finger to her temple and developed a look on her face like she was thinking deeply about something. After about a minute, she brought both of her paws down and placed them on her hips, jutted out her right hip, and said, "I might have taken a little more advantage of him then I would have intended to, but I would not have made love to him on your couch!"
Callie crossed her arms under her chest and said, "Felina, I have known you since we were teenagers. Every time you brought a tom home, or you went to your boyfriend's house, I always wondered if I was going to have to start buying kitten clothes for you. Now if you don't mind, I have to get to Marty's deli, apologize to Chance's ex-girlfriend for standing her up, and then bring my fiancée a sandwich made by said ex-girlfriend before Chance explains to me why he had a date with her in the first place when he was supposed to be infatuated with me."
"Callie, you have one strange relationship with Chance. Let's get you to Marty's, and then I will drop you at the hospital on the way to the salvage yard to pick up my fiancée. After that, I will drop off Tina and Katerina at my apartment. I should get a taxi license so I can get paid for all of this driving."
"Felina, you would not last a day as a taxi driver. Your driving is so aggressive that you would cut off everyone on the road at least once before cutting off a bus or something," Callie said.
"Whatever, Callie. Let's get out of here before the two love birds over there decide to do something that will get us all thrown in jail," Felina said.
They all left the garage and headed back to Felina's car.
