As soon as Felina parked in front of the restaurant, Lisa darted out of the car and ran through the front door as fast as she could. She made her way to the hostess' stand and said to the older she-cat stationed there, "Hi, my name is Leila, and Mr. Clawson sent me over."
The she-cat looked up from the reservation book and said, "About time you got here. Raul was starting to pace around the kitchen. Go up the stairs over there." She pointed to a small stairwell to her right. "Get changed into your uniform, and come back here. I will show you around and how to operate the POS system. By the way, my name is Charlene." She extended her right paw to shake Lisa's.
"Nice to meet you, Charlene." Lisa shook her paw. "I'll be right back." Lisa withdrew her paw from Charlene's and ran up the stairs. Lisa quickly found the dressing room, entered, and closed the door behind her. She took a communicator out of her garment bag, pressed a button on the side, and said, "Razor, I'm in."
Back at the hangar, Mark, Tina, and Katerina were going over the Cyclotrons, as well as the Glovetrixes to familiarize themselves with their operation, while Jake and Callista were over at one of the control consoles reading the building plans and developing exit strategies for Callista. Jake heard the radio come to life with Lisa saying that she was in. He pressed a button on the console and replied, "Ok Pirouette, be safe."
Callista then said, "I am going back to Felina's and will wait for Ulysses there. Thank you, Jake, for everything."
Before Jake could reply, she faded from sight. After she had completely disappeared, he turned back to the console.
Lisa placed the communicator back in the bag and took out her dress and shoes She draped her dress over the bench next to her, then carefully set her shoes on the floor. She quickly removed all of her clothes, minus her panties, picked up the dress, and slipped it on her body. She then stepped into her shoes and walked over to the full-length mirror currently taking up a far corner of the room to give herself a quick look over. Satisfied with what she saw, she placed her street clothes in the garment bag and stuck everything in her assigned locker before closing the door and returning to Charlene.
As Lisa descended the stairs, she took note of the location of the alley just on the other side of the wall, and when she reached the bottom of the stairs, she made sure that the door that led into the alley opened easily, just in case she needed to use it to get Callista out of the restaurant in a big hurry. She closed the door and walked back out into the restaurant proper, making her way to the hostess' stand where Charlene was waiting for her.
Charlene heard the clicking of Lisa's shoes on the polished marble floor, heralding the younger she-cat's return. She looked over in the direction of the sound and gave Lisa a look over. She said as Lisa was walking, "You are definitely one of the better looking waitresses we have had here in a very long time. Raul is going to be pleased." Charlene stepped out from behind the hostess' stand in order to lead Lisa to the back room where Raul's office was located.
Lisa took a good look at Charlene as she moved out from behind the hostess' stand, and saw that Charlene was wearing a very similar dress. However, the hem of Charlene's dress the hem of Charlene's dress came to mid-thigh, rather than high on her thighs like Lisa's. She had a slight bulge in the stomach and her hips were wider. She was either part tabby or tiger by the striped pattern of her fur, and her long, rust-colored hair was streaked with gray.
Charlene led Lisa through the restaurant, pointing out where to get non-alcoholic beverages without disturbing the bartenders, the location of the POS terminal where the orders were placed, and where the kitchen was located. She opened a door and ushered Lisa through before letting the spring-loaded door close behind her.
Lisa looked around the kitchen, trying to find an exit point for a quick escape if she needed it. Instead, the only thing she saw was meticulously clean stainless steel counter tops, multiple stoves and ovens, and four large walk-in refrigerators and freezers. The entire kitchen was so clean that you could eat off of the floor. Lisa thought, 'This place is spotless. I will have to take Mark here for a date one of these nights. I wonder if Raul caters?'
Charlene led Lisa to a door located at the rear of the kitchen. She knocked on the door before turning the doorknob and opening \ it. Once the door was opened, Charlene stuck her head through and said, "Raul, the waitress you said was going to work tonight is here. You want to meet her?"
Raul replied, "Sure, bring her in."
Charlene turned to Lisa and said, "Come on in, Leila." She opened the door wide to let Lisa enter the room.
Lisa followed Charlene into Raul's office, and saw a lone tom sitting behind a large mahogany desk with various neatly stacked receipts and bill. She said, "Hi, I am Leila. It's nice to meet you, Raul."
Raul gave Lisa a hot once-over and really liked what he saw. He thought, 'Now that is how that uniform is supposed to look. Why can't I find waitresses that have bodies like hers?' He then smiled and said, "Nice to meet you, too, Leila. You are in good hands with Charlene training you."
"Thank you, Raul. I promise I won't let you down," Lisa said. She turned and followed Charlene out of the office.
Once the door was closed, Raul said, "My client is going to like her. Too bad she is only here for the night. If I had waitresses that looked like her, this place would be packed every night." Raul resumed his paperwork after he finished speaking.
Ulysses parked his car in front of Felina's building and got out in time to see his niece pull into the parking lot. He walked over to her car and waited for Felina to get out.
Felina saw her uncle as she made the turn into the parking garage of her building. She parked her car and got out. As she closed the door, she turned to him and said, "I thought you would be back here earlier. I hope that Chance is alright up there. You left him alone for all this time."
"Sorry, Felina. I had to find something that belongs to Callista, and it took longer than I thought," Ulysses said.
Felina led her uncle to the elevators and pressed the up button. While they waited for the elevator, she turned to her uncle and asked, "What was so important that you left Chance in my apartment, alone?"
Ulysses replied, "I had to get this." He fished the box out of his pocket with his right paw and presented it to Felina.
Felina recognized the box almost instantly and asked, "Is that grandma's engagement ring?"
"Yes, Felina, it was my mother's engagement ring. She gave it to me when I told her that I was going to ask Adara to marry me. I still can't believe that Adara didn't want this ring. I should have known when she refused the ring that our marriage was doomed," Ulysses replied.
Felina asked, "Can I see the ring one more time, before you give it to Callista?"
Ulysses opened the box and the diamond sparkled in the garage light.
Felina smiled and said, "Grandma was a beautiful she-cat. She always had a smile on her face, and was full of love. I miss her." She sniffled, and then said, "That ring will look gorgeous on Callista's finger. Why couldn't you have married her instead of Adara all those years ago?"
"It's not like I didn't want to marry her, Felina. When I came back from being deployed, she was already married to Steven. Nothing would have made me happier than to have Callista as my wife," Ulysses said as he closed the box and placed it back in his pocket. He then wrapped his arms around Felina and said, "My mother would have been very proud of you, Felina. You have not only turned into a very beautiful she-cat, but one that is very independent and smart. Jake could not have picked a better she-cat to be his wife and mother to his kitten."
Felina pushed herself back, looked up into her uncle's face, and said, "You really think that she would be proud of me? My own father doesn't seem to be proud of anything I have done with my life. I don't even think he knows that I am engaged, or that I am pregnant, or if he even cares. He only seems to care about his sons and how successful they have become."
"My brother is an ass, Felina. It's his loss if he doesn't see what you have become. You are the youngest Lieutenant on the force, not to mention the first she-cat to hold the rank of officer, and soon, you will be second-in-command of one of the best group of cats in the world. You want to know something else, Felina? You are going to surpass me in leading them. You are going to be a legend when you finally retire, and every one of your subordinates will follow your instructions, not because they were ordered to, but because they want to earn your respect. Just as Ericson, Samuelson, and Jones have done for me."
The elevator doors opened with a ping and they entered. Felina pushed the button for her floor, then turned to her uncle and asked, "Ulysses, do you really think that I will surpass you? Almost every cat on the force not only respects you, but will follow you to the end. I don't think I can do that. I'm starting to have doubts about raising my own kitten, let alone leading the Enforcers."
Ulysses reached out, took Felina back into his arms, and held her tight before he said, "Don't ever doubt yourself, Felina. There is not a thing that you can't do and won't excel at, especially motherhood. Your kitten is going to love you and be kind and respectful to everyone around it. You are going to be an excellent mother, Felina."
Felina placed her arms around Ulysses and said, "Thank you, Uncle. You have always supported me when my own father didn't. I love you."
Ulysses stroked her back like a father would his kitten, and replied, "I love you, too, Felina."
The elevator stopped at her floor and the doors opened. They both got out and walked down the hall to Felina's apartment. As Felina walked, she removed her keys from her pocket, and once they had arrived, she inserted the key to her door into the lock. She gave it a quick turn to the right and opened the door. They entered, closed the door behind them, and walked into the living room to see Callie climbing off of Chance, naked as the day she was born.
Ulysses quickly averted his eyes, while Felina said, "Oh come on, Callie! I know you haven't seen him in days, but did you have to have sex in MY living room? Your apartment is right across the hall; you could have gone there and had sex on the kitchen counter for all I care!"
Callie quickly waved her paw, and magically, her clothes appeared on her body. She was still mortified at having been caught naked and obviously savoring the afterglow that came in the wake of making repeated, mind-blowing love to her future husband in her best friend's apartment. She said, "Sorry, Lina. I had to teach him a lesson that his eyes should be on my body, and not some other she-cat just because she is wearing a very revealing outfit." She turned her head to look at Chance, and saw him completely passed out from exhaustion. She then turned back to Felina and said, "I guess I taught him well. He looks so cute when he is sleeping."
"Yes, Callie, he does look cute," Felina replied. Then she asked, "How many times did you have to give him that lesson?" She developed a Cheshire grin on her face after she asked her question.
Callie slitted her eyes before she answered, "Six times."
Felina could not believe that Callie could even stand, much less walk, after having sex that many times. She asked, "Aren't you at least a little bit sore after all of that?"
"No, not really. I was gentle with him as I took care of him," Callie replied.
Ulysses left the room as his niece and future granddaughter talked. He didn't want to know where that conversation was going, or even where it had started. Just before he was going to open the door to the apartment, Callista appeared directly in front of him. She wrapped her arms around his neck and asked, "Did you miss me?"
Ulysses placed his arms around her waist and replied, "Yes I did, my love." He reached into his pocket and withdrew the box. He then said, "I have something for you, Callista. I wanted you to have it before you met this cat tonight." He presented the box to her and opened it.
Callista took one look at the ring and started to tear up. Even though he had asked her to marry him already, and she had said yes, this made it official that she was going to be his wife. She looked into his eyes and said, "You know this means you will be stuck with me for the rest of my life, right?"
"Nothing will make me happier, Callista. Just think of what the toms at the senior center are going to say when I am old and I still have this hot she-cat on my arm," Ulysses said.
"I don't think you fully understand what I am saying, Ulysses. I meant you and I are going to be together for the rest of MY life. That is, if you want to?" Callista asked.
Ulysses looked at her and cocked an eyebrow. He knew that she was going to outlive every one of their family and friends by a very long time. He replied, "I can't possibly live as long as you will, Callista. I have maybe a good twenty-five years left, and you have a good 1100 years, if I did the math right."
"1200 years, Ulysses. You were off by a century. What if I told you that you could live just as long as I will. Would you be willing to?" Callista asked.
"I'm not sure, Callista. I never thought of living that long, and the thought of watching all of my loved ones pass before me is quite scary," Ulysses said.
"You don't have to answer now, Ulysses. Think about it. Just know that I want you to be my husband, for the rest of my days," Callista said, as she placed her right paw against his left cheek.
Ulysses took her paw in his, removed the ring from the box, and slipped it onto her finger.
Callista brought her paw to her face in order to look at the ring up close. She stared into the diamond, and saw a pair of cats who could only be Ulysses' parents. His mother said, "Callista, he has been in love with you since he was a teenager. Ulysses has been so lonely since the divorce. Please make him stop hurting." The couple vanished after Ulysses' mother finished speaking.
Callista wiped a stray tear away from her eye, and placed her arms around Ulysses' neck. She then said, "I would have liked your parents, Ulysses. They only want what is best for their son."
Ulysses took her in his arms and said, "They would have loved you, Callista. Shall we go back to your apartment so you can get ready to meet this cat?"
"Is this just a ploy to see me in a dress, Ulysses?" Callista asked, as she backed out of his embrace and placed her paws on her hips.
"Not at all, my dear. Although, seeing you in a dress is an added bonus that I will thoroughly enjoy," Ulysses replied, and then smiled.
Callista placed her right paw on his left cheek and said, "Then just wait until Saturday night. You are going to love the dress that I picked out. You are going to be the envy of every tom in the club, I promise."
Ulysses let her go in order to extend his arm for her to take, which she did. Then they walked down the hall, back to the elevator. While they waited, Callista developed this mischievous grin on her face. Once the elevator's doors opened and they entered, she turned to face Ulysses, and kissed him with all the passion she could muster as the doors closed.
It was now 4:30 in the afternoon. After placing Chance in her bed, Callie had teleported herself and Felina back to the hangar. They quickly suited up and joined the rest of the team in the main hangar so they could deploy and get themselves in position; hopefully before anyone from 'The Society' arrived.
Razor and Caliber ran down one of the halls that led to the TurboKat 2, after Razor gave Sniper a present that he said he had made just for her. Since Caliber was following Razor, she got a decent look at his uniform and how it fit him compared to Adonis'. She said, as Razor was climbing into the gunner seat, "You know, babe, yours and T-Bone's uniforms should match Adonis'. I want to see what my fiancé will look like in a skin-tight uniform, before I rip it off of him and make him purr."
Razor stopped dead in his ascent, turned his head to stare down at Caliber, and saw that she was licking her lips and her tail was swaying. She just looked so sexy standing there that he was tempted to jump off of the jet and take her to a far off section of the hangar so he could have some fun. He replied, "As much as I want to have you try to make me purr right now, we have a job to do. When we are done, I promise that you and I will have some alone time, and you can do what you will."
Caliber smiled, and then said, "Don't make promises that your tail can't keep, dear. Our kitten is going to want a sibling someday, and I don't want to have to explain that its father can't keep up with its mother."
Razor turned his attention back to his ascent into the jet, and took his place in the gunner's seat while Caliber climbed into the pilot's seat and buckled herself in. As she started flipping the switches to start her baby, she said, "I don't know why we need all of this firepower for a simple meeting. Callista is more than capable of taking care of herself. I know my uncle loves her, and I think that she is going to make a great aunt. But having a jet in the air to protect one of the most powerful she-cats in the world is a little overboard, don't you think?" As she finished speaking, the TurboKat 2's engines started roaring to life.
Razor was finishing his own check of the weapons systems when he heard Caliber's question. He replied, as he checked his seatbelt, "I agree with you, Caliber. However, if it was you in Callista's position, I would have several tanks stationed at the ready. Nothing is too much when it comes to my wife's safety."
Caliber closed the canopy and pushed the throttles forward, making the jet's engines rev up. As they built up thrust, the jet started to move. Caliber maneuvered her baby out of the maintenance hangar into the main hangar, and finally aligned the nose with the runway. She waited for the signal mounted on the wall to turn green, indicating that it was safe for her to take off.
Razor said, "No matter what happens out there tonight, know that I love you more than anything in this world or the next. I can hardly wait to call you my wife."
Caliber didn't respond; she was too focused on the signal and getting back in the air. Finally, the signal turned green, and Caliber said as she pushed the throttles fully open, "I love you, too, Razor. Now hang on."
The jet responded quickly to her commands, and launched itself down the tunnel and up the ramp to the outside. Once again, the jet wanted to be in the air before the tunnel ended. Caliber had to fight the jet in order to prevent it from hitting the ceiling. After ten seconds of fighting the TurboKat 2, they were in the clear, and Caliber pulled back on the stick, allowing the jet to gain altitude in the skies of the city.
Adonis, Empress, Sniper, and Havoc watched as the TurboKat 2 raced off into the afternoon sky. Adonis then said, "We had better mount up, ladies. We don't want to let them have all the fun. Now, which one of you hot she-cats wants to ride with me?"
Sniper really didn't want to be separated from Havoc longer than she needed to, but she was going to be stationed on top of a roof with her new toy that Razor had built just for her, and Empress and Havoc were going to be stationed at the same place, she figured that riding with Adonis only made sense. She said as she walked towards him, carrying a long case in her right paw, "I'll go with you, Big Boy, but I am driving." As soon as she finished speaking, she took off faster than a gunshot towards the awaiting Cyclotrons and mounted one. After she started the Cyclotron and gave the throttle a loving twist, revving the engine, she said as she turned to Adonis, "Are you going to make Pirouette wait like this when it is time for you to perform for her? Get over here, now!"
Adonis heard her command and ran over to the Cyclotron. He swung his leg over the bike and sat down. He then tried to figure out where to place his paws, so as not to offend her or get himself in trouble with Pirouette.
Sniper felt his apprehension and took charge again by grabbing his paws and placing them around her waist. She then said, "Your paws had better not move an inch, or you are going to lose them, understand? Now hang on." She tapped her left foot on the gear shift, placing the Cyclotron into first gear, gave the throttle a twist, and then popped the clutch. The friction of the rear tire against the concrete started leaving a trail of hot rubber. Once the Cyclotron had built up enough momentum, they took off up the ramp to the outside world.
Havoc and Empress mounted their Cyclotron and started it. Empress patiently waited for Adonis and Sniper to leave the hangar before they did. They both watched in amazement at how well Sniper handled the Cyclotron on her first try, and how Adonis acted like a timid kitten when he tried to place his paws on Sniper's body. Havoc asked, "Do you think that Sniper will get him there in one piece?"
Empress replied, "He will be fine, as long as he keeps his paws where they are supposed to be and nowhere else. Besides, isn't that the position all toms want to be in, crouched over the back of a beautiful she-cat?"
They both laughed as Empress let out the clutch and left the hangar.
