I mentioned before that things are going to start getting brighter; this is the start of that turn.
Thank you MisaRae for all that you do.
Welcome aboard MizoreShirayukiFan. Enjoy your flight.
Roller77, yes those hospital scenes bring back very ugly memories for me as well. However, they need to be there.
Caliber and Razor landed the TurboKat 2 back at the salvage yard. They coasted down the runway into the underground hangar and stopped on the turntable.
The turntable rotated the jet so its nose was facing the runway again, and once it stopped, Caliber opened the canopy and got out of the jet, followed by Razor.
They both took off their helmets, but left their masks on so they could go to the hospital in their SWAT personas. Caliber said, "If my uncle hadn't stepped in, I was going to punch that officer in the face. After all the time and effort my uncle has put into the force, drilling it into their heads that their top priority should be making themselves accessible to the general public, seeing an Enforcer officer treating another cat with such a lack of compassion really pissed me off. I am going to make some changes to the curriculum at the academy, and one of those changes is going to be a lecture on how the citizens of this city are to be treated with respect at all times."
Razor was walking over to the refrigerator in order to get them each a can of cold milk when he replied, "That's a very good idea. Chance and I took such a course when your uncle was teaching at the academy. Since he left, I think they dropped it. Do you think the Commandant will re-instate the course?"
"He'd better. Otherwise, he is going to have one very pissed off instructor on his paws," Caliber replied. She then looked around for Sniper, Havoc, and Empress. None of them were in sight. Caliber turned to Razor and asked, "Where do you think the three of them ran off to?"
Razor replied as he was walking away from the refrigerator, "I have no idea. They might be upstairs in the living quarters, or back where the cyclotrons are parked." As he was walking, he passed the showers and heard a very faint moan. He closed his eyes, shook his head, and said, "Not again." He continued walking and gave Caliber her can. He then said, "I think I found two of them. They are in the showers, together, and doing something that I really don't want to see."
Caliber opened the can, brought it to her lips, and long drink as she listened to Razor speak. She lowered her can and said, "And I thought we were like bunnies when we first started dating, but those are even more active than we are, and by the way, you are buying me an expensive dinner tonight on the way back to my apartment."
She started heading towards the showers when Razor asked, "Why do I need to buy you an expensive dinner, might I ask?"
"Because I like to be wined and dined before I take my fiancé to bed and make him beg for mercy as I give him the best sex he has ever had," Caliber replied.
"Caliber, do you realize what time it is? By the time we get out of the hospital, it is going to be close to midnight. No decent restaurants are open at that hour, and we should bring something for Adonis. He probably won't realize it, but he's going to be hungry. Maintaining a body like his takes a lot of calories," Razor said.
Caliber thought about it for a minute and replied, "Antonio's is still open. We can head there and grab a few sandwiches to go. SWAT is always welcome there."
"Good idea! I knew I was marrying you for more than just that awesome body of yours. But what are we going to do about Sniper and Havoc? We can't just leave them here. They are supposed to be sequestered at your apartment."
"Callie is still here, or at least I think she is. Although, with her powers developing as rapidly as they are, she might have zapped herself back to Chance and is wearing him out again so he won't try to move. If she is still here, we can ask her if she could zap them all back to our building,"
Razor took a swig of his milk and wiped his mouth with the back of his left paw. He then said, "I'll head up to the living quarters and see if she is still here. You get to deal with Misses and Misses Belikov-Cassidy, or whatever they are going to call themselves when they get married." He quickly ran for the ladder once he finished speaking, to make sure that he didn't give Caliber a chance to protest.
Caliber was in the middle of taking a drink of her milk when Razor finished speaking and ran by her. She quickly lowered the can and turned to watch him rapidly ascend the ladder. She yelled, "Sure, you go and take the easy job! Just wait until I get you alone tonight! You will not be able to walk for hours, when I am done with you!"
Razor wiped his forehead after he finished climbing the ladder and closing the hatch behind him. He crossed through the garage and into the living quarters.
Callie sat on the couch reading a mechanics magazine that was barely holding her interest. What did interest her was the amount of she-cats wearing clothing that barely covered their bodies in the ads for various tools, cigarettes, and cars. She flipped the page and it revealed another shapely she-cat wearing a yellow bikini that was comprised of little more than dental floss, and a few scraps of strategically-placed fabric. She threw the magazine across the room, lifted her right paw, pointed at the magazine, and fried it with a simple bolt from her finger.
Razor witnessed the magazine turning into ash and said, "Well, that is one way to take out the trash. Now why are you sitting up here by yourself instead of with Tina and Katerina?"
"As you might have heard, they are a little busy playing with each other. I really didn't need to see them acting like she-cats in heat," Callie said as she stood up and went to go find a broom and dustpan to clean up the mess that she had made.
Razor stopped her and said, "Don't worry about it, Callie. We all have been through a lot today and need to relax. I'll get it later. Do you think that you can teleport yourself, Tina, and Katerina back to your apartment?"
Callie thought about it for a second and replied, "I don't know, Jake. I didn't show it, but I had a real hard time teleporting myself and Felina here. Teleporting three might be too much for me to handle until my powers get stronger." She then realized that the Mayor's limo was probably available for her to use. She reached into a pocket of her uniform and pulled out her cell phone. She called the driver and asked him to pick her up at the salvage yard. Callie disconnected the call and put her phone back. She said, "The limo will be here in twenty minutes. It will take us back to the building."
"If you want to change, you can use Chance's room…" Razor was saying, when Callie's body glowed and her uniform transformed into a skirt and a T-Shirt. He then said, "Never mind. I guess being a sorceress has its advantages."
Caliber was not having the same luck. She walked into the steamy shower and heard Tina moan. However, since there was so much steam, she could not see them. She yelled, "You two have exactly two minutes to finish up what you are doing, get dressed, and get up into the living quarters!"
The moaning stopped, as well as the water. She heard a snicker from Katerina, then the very familiar sound of lips kissing. Then both Tina and Katerina emerged from the cloud of steam, wearing nothing at all.
Caliber crossed her arms and ordered, "Go get changed and meet us in the living quarters." She turned and started to leave the shower area, but she stopped at the door, turned her head to the right, and said, "You two are perfect for each other. I have a very good feeling that you two are going to have very long and happy lives together." She left the showers as soon as she finished speaking.
Tina turned, embraced Katerina, and said, "She is right; we are perfect for each other. I love you."
Katerina slipped her paws to Tina's waist and replied, "I love you, too. When we get back to Felina's, do you think we can pick up where we left off?"
Tina smirked and said, as her right paw found Katerina's breast, "Yes, my love. I want to hear you scream my name tonight as I make love to you."
Katerina's tail swished in anticipation as she thought of the pleasure that her lover was going to bestow on her that night. She said in a sultry tone, "I am going to hold you to that, Tina. However, you might be the one who is screaming." Her paws traveled down to Tina's butt and gave the cheeks an affectionate squeeze.
They both left the shower area and headed towards the lockers to dress in their street clothes.
Chance woke up in a very strange bed. The covers, comfortable as they were, were light pink and very frilly, while the sheets were a slightly darker shade of pink. He lifted his head and focused on the pictures on the dresser. He saw various shots of Callie and Felina when they were younger, as well as a few that had been taken when Callie graduated, and a few when Felina graduated the academy. He guessed that he was in his fiancee's bedroom. Then he remembered how Callie had taken care of him as he sat in the chair in Felina's apartment. He was going to have to repay her for that as soon as he was able. Chance sat up in Callie's bed and reached for the phone, located on her night stand. He lifted the receiver and dialed.
Razor was talking to Callie when Felina came in from the garage and said, "Tina and Katerina will be up shortly. Those two make a great couple. Now if we can only figure out a way to make them stop having sex at every opportunity."
Callie turned to Felina and asked, "And what did you and Jake do when you were alone in Hawaii?"
Jake turned bright red, while Felina chuckled at Callie's bold question. She replied with a question of her own, "What do you think we were doing?"
Callie placed her paws on her hips and replied, "Oh, come on, Felina. I have known you for years. Don't you think for a minute that I don't know you were having your way with Jake every minute you could."
"Technically, not every minute, Callie. We weren't doing anything at the restaurants, the pool, or on the beach. Now everywhere else, we solidified my pregnancy, multiple times," Felina said, and then smiled.
Jake was about to pass out. He never would have guessed that someone as refined as Callie would be so bold as to discuss his and Felina's sex life. Although, he didn't have any doubt that Felina would discuss her life in the bedroom with Callie anytime she wanted.
Callie turned to Jake and saw that he did not look too good. She asked, "Are you alright, Jake?"
"I'm fine, Callie. I think. I never expected you to be so bold as to discuss such private things so openly," Jake replied.
"I am not as innocent as you think; Felina and I have spent many nights discussing what our tom-friends had done to us in the heat of the moment," Callie said.
Razor was about to say something, when his phone started to ring. He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. He answered, "Hey Chance, how are you feeling?"
"I am better, I guess. I'm stuck at Callie's, alone. Is she with you?" Chance asked.
"Yes, she is here. If you wanted to talk to her that badly, why didn't you call her?" Razor asked.
"I tried to, but her phone kept going directly to voice mail. Now, is she there?" Chance asked.
Razor handed his phone to Callie and said, "It's for you."
Callie took the phone from Razor and brought it up to right ear. She said, "Hello?"
"Hey honey, are you coming home anytime soon?" Chance asked.
"Yes, I will be there soon. Do you need anything?"
Chance lifted the blanket and saw that he was completely nude. He covered himself up and said, "I could use some clothes. You sort of left me.. exposed."
Callie held the phone away from her face so he would not hear her giggle, and after a few seconds, she put the phone back to her ear and replied, "That is just how I want you, ready for me when I want you."
"Why do I have a feeling that you would be happy with me becoming a house husband and wearing nothing but an apron when you got home from the office." Chance said.
Callie let that image build in her mind, and she loved it. She saw Chance standing at the kitchen sink, washing the dishes with his back completely exposed. Callie licked her lips and said, "I think I would like that, a lot. You are going to have to wear that for me one night. I will be home soon, and we will do something about dinner."
"I can hardly wait to see you, my love," Chance said.
"I can't wait to see you, too. Tina, Katerina, and I will be home in about half an hour. Now, don't try to move. I will take care of you when I get there," Callie said.
"Will you wear that nurse's outfit again?" Chance asked.
Callie had forgotten about that outfit, but apparently Chance hadn't. She blushed ever so slightly and replied, "Only if you are real good. See you soon. I love you."
"I love you too, my queen," Chance said, and disconnected the call.
Ulysses parked his car in front of Callista's building. He turned his head to the right and saw the she-cat that he loved almost on the verge of tears. Her head was tilted forward, focusing on her paws, which were in her lap. He opened his car door, got out, and walked around the front of his car to her side. He then reached out with his right paw and opened her door. He reached in with his left paw and offered it to her, in order to help her out of the car.
Callista took his paw and allowed him to help her out of the car. Once he had closed and locked the car, she reached around his waist with her left arm, pulled him to her, and leaned her head into his side.
Ulysses wrapped his right arm around her shoulders and walked with her to the door of her apartment. He opened her door and stepped aside, allowing her to pass before he entered, closing the door behind her. They both traversed the stairs, and when they opened the door that led into the apartment, they found Persival standing there, not looking too happy.
Callista fell to her knees and wrapped her arms around her trusted friend and companion, and cried into his fur.
Persival shot Ulysses a very annoyed look, but turned his attention to his mistress, who was soaking his fur with her tears. He brought his left wing around her and lowered his head to rest on her left shoulder. He then said, "Milady, please tell me the reason for your tears."
Callista lifted her head ever so slightly and replied, "David wanted to kill me, Persival. After the dinner ended rather poorly, apparently he ordered one of his men to kill me. If it wasn't for Lisa, my newest friend, taking the bullet for me, I might not be here now."
Persival lifted his head, looked directly into Ulysses' eyes, and glared at him, making his displeasure known. Persival said through a growl, "You are supposed to protect her! You claim that you love her, and yet you almost let her get killed? What type of a tom are you? Milady may be all powerful, but she is still a female who deserves to have a tom by her side who will give his life for her at a moment's notice!"
Callista stood up and placed her paws on her hips, looking none-too-happy with Persival. She said, "Is that what you really think of me? A helpless female who needs to be protected by a tom? Well let me tell you something, Persival. I am not someone who needs a big, strong tom to protect her. I am a very strong she-cat who can take care of herself. Yes, I was almost shot today, and if not for Lisa's quick thinking, I would have been. Ulysses was too far away to do anything, Persival. I am sure he would have taken that bullet for me if he had been able to."
Ulysses grabbed her and took her in his arms. He looked down at Persival and said, "Persival, I would have gladly given my life for hers. I love her more than my own life! She is my world now, and I can't live without her in it."
"Milady, I apologize; I have been in your service for so long that I have developed deep feelings for you. You are my family, and love you as such. You have been my mother, sister, and finally, my closest friend. I am not sure what I would do if you were not in my life anymore," Persival said, as he lowered his head in shame. He soon walked away, leaving Ulysses and Callista alone.
Callista was about to go after him when Ulysses stopped her and said, "Let him go. He will be fine."
"I hope so. He may be overly protective of me, but he is my overprotective, winged ball of fur," Callista said.
Ulysses bent over and picked up some mail that happened to be sitting on the floor. There were bunches of letters addressed to Callista from a company called C.C. Enterprises LTD. He tilted one of the envelopes so he could look into the window of the envelope, and it read, 'Pay to the Order of: Callista Catlow'. All of the envelopes contained checks written out to Callista. He put the envelopes on the end table by the door and asked, "Who is C. C. Enterprises?"
Callista turned to Ulysses and asked, "Why do you ask?"
Ulysses pointed to the table and replied, "There are several pieces of mail here that are addressed to you with that name on them, and they all have checks inside. Care to tell me why they are sending you money?"
Callista walked over to the table and picked up one of the envelopes, opened it, and saw a fifteen-thousand dollar check inside.' She put the envelope with the others and replied, "I was still the queen when Megalith broke up. As such, I maintained ownership of most of what used to be my kingdom. C. C. Enterprises stands for Callista Catlow Enterprises. I own that company. They manage all of the property I own. Those checks are my dividend from the rent and other fees that the company collects on my behalf."
"You own all of that property, including my headquarters? I'm very impressed, Callista. Every one of the buildings that you own is well-maintained and the waiting lists to get in are quite long," Ulysses said.
"I pay my building managers very well, and tell them personally that the buildings are to be maintained at all times. I have a zero tolerance policy, so the moment I find out that anyone is mismanaging their property, they are out on their tails quicker than they can blink. Now, as far as all of those checks go, I keep only what I need to live on. The rest goes to charity and building things that the city needs. My favorite thing to do with the money is build parks that are safe for kittens to play in. I love watching kittens playing. That was one of the things I used to do when I was queen of Megalith: go out and play with the kittens of the court, as well as any kitten that happened to be in the castle that day," Callista said, and smiled and smiled as she remembered the way the kittens always seemed to gravitate toward her, begging her to come play.
Ulysses wrapped his arm around her and said, "You have a heart as big as this city. Although, you can still go and play with the kittens of the city anytime that you want, you know. I am sure they would welcome you with open arms."
Callista turned her head to the right and rested her head against his chest. She closed her eyes and said, "Times are much different now. I am no longer the loving queen that everyone adored. As much as I would love to re-live those times, magic and sorcery are things of the past, at least for now." She then thought of her future great grand-kittens, and how they were going to change the world.
"So, who says you have to use magic? Cats of this city are drawn to you, for some reason. Look at me, for example. From the first time I saw you, I knew you were special, and when I kissed you that day? Well, let's just say I was hooked. I could not stop thinking about you. You were always on my mind, even when I was stationed overseas. Magic powers or not, the kittens of this city need someone like you to help nurture them. You should open a nursery or a daycare center. With your loving nature and that big heart of yours, you would definitely succeed, and the kittens will love you," Ulysses said.
Callista lifted her head from Ulysses' chest and thought about it for a minute. Then her eyes lit up, and she said, "You are right, Ulysses. A day care facility is exactly what this city needs for the families that can't afford to send their kittens anywhere and have to work. I can get students that are earning their teaching degrees to help me. As long as they meet my standards, that is. And who knows? Bringing a little magic to this big, cold city would only brighten it. This is exactly what C. C. Enterprises needs to do. I will call the board of directors in the morning and start the process."
Ulysses loved her, especially when she got excited like this. Her beautiful green eyes shone in anticipation of possibly opening a place where the kittens of the city could go to play and feel safe. Her emotions washed over him, and he could not help but smile and share her anticipation and excitement. He asked, "Do you think there will be room for your loving husband? I never had kittens of my own, and I always loved playing with my niece and nephews."
Callista pulled back from his embrace and gave him a good look over. She cocked her hips and said, "I don't know, Ulysses. You would have to lose that 'I'm all big and tough' persona of yours first."
Ulysses raised an eyebrow and asked, "Do I really do that?"
Callista wrapped her arms around his neck and replied, "Yes, you do, to everyone but me. To me, you are this big, overstuffed, teddy bear that makes me want to do this." She then stood on her toes and gave him a passionate kiss.
Ulysses closed his eyes and returned her kiss, letting his paws wander down to her waist. He then opened his mouth and tapped her lips with his tongue, silently asking permission to enter.
Callista felt his tongue on her lips and opened her mouth, but instead of letting him enter, she took the initiative and slipped her tongue into his mouth.
While they were kissing, Persival walked back into the living room. He coughed to let them both know that he was there.
Callista and Ulysses pulled back, breaking their kiss, and turned to Persival.
Persival said, "Milady, the night is growing short. If Isis is going to be joining us tomorrow at the house, we need to get her before daybreak."
"You are right, Persival. We do need to get her. Are you ready to find out whether she is really the one for you?" Callista asked.
"Milady, I care for her, and I am sure she cares for me. I am nervous as to whether she returns my affections; however, I need to know for sure. Shall we go?" Persival asked.
Callista walked away from Ulysses and towards Persival. She knelt down, scratched his head between his ears, and said, "No matter what happens tonight, know that I love you and will be there for you."
Persival closed his eyes and let out a purr. Then opened his eyes and nuzzled her before he said, "I am nervous, mistress. Let's get this over with."
Callista stood up and said, "Very well, Persival." She turned to Ulysses and said, "Make yourself at home; there is plenty of food in the kitchen, so help yourself. You are going to need some energy when I return." She then placed her right paw on Persival's shoulder, and they both disappeared.
