It was a normal day at school with her and Itsy having lunch, and things being normal until she fel5 weird seeing other kids screaming and Itsy back8ng away from her. "Stay away from me, Venom I won't be your snack." she declared shooting webs at her making Shocket scared trying to explain it was just her until she looked at herself in the mirror seeing she was venomized again…
Shocket woke up screamiing like he room was on fire, checking herself, no black goo, no lizard like tongue or wanting to turn her friends into snacks feeling sweaty breathing deeply just as her dad burst into her room seeing his baby girl freaked ohr understanding. Since her first sleepover at Itsy's last week which had involved her becoming venomized, Shocket had been having nightmares which were worse than the ones involving Tivon sitting on the bed with her listening to her.
"Ohhhhh honey that would never happen like the one you had with Linda. Itsy loves you and knew what happened was a mistake. I'm sorry this is happening to you, as you were getting used to things here." Rocket told her seeing it was subrise but also Monday morning meaning school for Shocket only Rocket knew she couldn't go to school like this noticing on her phone, she'd missed calls from Itsy sighing as he was calling the school to tell them Shocket was staying home today heading to the kitchen, seeing Rocket Senior had left to go to Xaviers making pancakes along with coffee seeing a very tired Shocket enter sluggishly seeing her drinking coffee from his mug.
"That's a good cup of Joe and helping wake me up. Will Itsy be mad if I'm not there." she told him.
"No, she might be worried you're not there but she'll understand." he told her. She felt relieved but still freaked out from the bad dreams she'd been having only didn't want to tell Itsy in case she'd be weirded out only Rocket knew maybe Linda could help Shocket feel better about this whole thing texting her, asking if she was busy explainibg what was happening with Shocket knowing Linda would help his baby girl get back to normal. "Mmmm this is good pops, who were you texting." Shocket said to him.
"A friend kiddo, don't worry about it." Rocket reassured her seeing her having more coffee. This surprised him making him think that if he gave Shocket coffee, she'd turn into a coffee monster yet she was okay. "Yeah, Tivon let me have coffee when Lindaand me were with him so I already did that and scared hisservants when I was like that." Shocket told him squirting more syrup over her pancakes making Rocket guess it was her raccoon metabolism plus her body was that of a teenaged kit compared to a kit of her actual age smirking.
Itsy was worrying, asshe was waiting outside the spit where she always met Shocket every morning before they entered the campus building and heading to their classroom unaware Shocket wasn't coming which was apparent hearing the bell heading inside heading to their classroom hoping maybe Shocket was there only she wasn't there at their shared desk which made her more worried hearing her dad say, Shocket wasn't at school today.
Itsy then messaged Shocket on Whatsapp hoping maybe Shocket would reply and tell her why she wasn't in school today guessing it was because of last week making her frown hoping maybe her dad got an answer from Rocket so unaware he noticed she was worried because Shocket wasn't there but she could check on her after school. At lunchtime, she sat at her and Shocket's usual table eating by herself feeling sad as it wasn't the same without Shocket but had made Shocket a card in Art class so could post it before going home. After school, she web-slinged to Shocket's house putting her card in the mailbox hoping Shocket would like it and maybe message her to explain to her why she'd disappeared.
"Itsy there you are. Where did you go." Peter asked her. "Just putting something in uncle Rockie's mailbox for Shocket." Itsy said
"That's good as you missed her all day. Uncle Rockie's will probably tell Shocket this." Peter told her as they went home so later got a WhatsApp from Shocket explaining why she hadn't been at school replying to her relieved she was okay.
