Cardona is a very busy man. He has championships to win, crowds to remind who the hell he is, and action figures to create when he's not buying them all. The last thing he has time for is to listen to Ariya Davairi's complaints about this weird camera possessing digimon who's stalking him around on earth too, nor any of the other weird dramas the other digidestined are finding themselves in.

He just wants to make it to the latest village Luke has directed them to, save whatever needs saving, and go back home to prepare for the upcoming Hammerstein shows. The last thing he expects is to feel a sharp pain in his leg as something impacts with him, almost tripping him. "What the hell?" he snaps, expecting it to be one of the partner digimon, or maybe one of the other wrestlers kicking him, or-

Something. Just not the small digimon who keeps running at full speed into his leg with this hard, shiny hat they seem to be strapped into.

"Whoa," Nemeth says, laughing mockingly. "You have an admirer, Matt?"

"No, does this look admiring to you?" Cardona snaps back at him, rearing back to kick the annoying little pest away. Before he can even get close, Dakota Kai swoops in and collects the little digimon, holding him close.

"How dare you," she says, staring at Matt incredulously. "It's just a baby!" She coos over the digimon, quickly joined by her Damage Control teammates and they all wigglge their fingers over the young digimon, smiling down at it.

"She sure showed you," Nemeth continues to laugh at him, only raising Cardona's ire even further.

"Oh whatever," he grumbles, storming off in the direction the alert for assistance is flashing on all of their digivices.

He's only gone so far when something large flashes before his eyes, embedding in the ground in front of him, toppling him over for real as he stares up at the tall digimon hovering in the air before him. "Oh shit," he gulps, observing how close the sword came to dissecting him.

"Matt!" Patamon cries, rushing to his partner's aid.

"Shit," Nemeth mumbles, also moving to help while Dakota, Io, and Kairi all settle in defensive positions, preparing to fight as well.

This is bad, Cardona thinks, still frozen in place, even the prospect of the battle raging on with him trapped in the middle not enough to make him move.
