Chapter 3

Lloyd started freaking out "What are they doing here?" His breathing was shaking, thankfully, he lowered his voice, so it seemed like no one heard him.

"Excellent." Ras replied.

"Are you sure you want to trust these liars, Ras? If they let me down, they could do the same to you too. And where's Lloyd? Probably lurking in the shadows, waiting to make an ambush." Arin questioned Ras' decisions.

"I don't have anything to lose or disappoint me anymore. There is only… me. And my disciple, you, Arin." Ras wore a weird smug.

"And Lloyd knows nothing about any of this. We knew he would overreact over all this, so we left him out. His big heart wouldn't let him join you and that would be a problem. We chose to do this in secrecy" Nya replied.

"Wait a minute. You left him alone?" The boy in a black and yellow gi was taken aback by this sudden uncharacteristic action of the Ninja.

"That would be correct."

"Even Zane is in on this? Wait… Sora" Arin's eyes blazed with untrust and anger at his ex-bestfriend.

"Enough of this chit-chat. We have a job to do. We still have to get an Oni and a Dragon, not to mention The Source dragon's power to undo the mistake your 'master' has done. Follow me" And just like that, all of them left the cave.

Lloyd was still in his hiding place for a few minutes, until he felt it was safe to come out.

The son of Garmadon eyed the cave. It was pretty cramped: the walls went in some weird triangle shape, only leaving a few square meters to stand in. He had no idea how all of them even fit in here.

Then weird toddler-looking drawings on the wall caught his gaze. The Green ninja noticed that the weird figures had square torsos, one drawing had four stick-like hands and stick-like two legs and horns sticking from the head, the other two had 4 stickman legs. All of them had 'unique' wings.

The Oni.

The Dragons.

The Source dragons.

The drawings were definitely Arin's works, no doubt. That's his 'touch of art'.

All of them were connected by a red wire and lead to the big words that wrote 'THE COALESCENSE'. There were small words written down that read 'the freedom ingriedients'.

"Ain't that cheesy." Lloyd should've been creeped out and unsettled, which he was, but he couldn't not see the pretty funny 'wall of the evil plan'. He let out a little chuckle. The heavy atmosphere got a little lighter, but he couldn't forget the fact that he was all of those. He had Oni blood. He had Dragon blood. He was the Conduit.

If the Ninja were so desperate to find the others, he knew they would pick the fastest route. Which meant that he would be their first target.

He couldn't believe this was happening. His own family betrayed him. His own family called him weak. His own family will hunt him down and find a way to undo the merge.

He got a feeling that the price the Ninja were willing to pay was nothing they wouldn't give. He felt that they were willing to pay with anything, even their little brother.

"This is going to be a wild chase…"
