Lloyd POV: Despite searching everywhere and leaving no stone unturned, none of us could find anything. And I was getting really frustrated and worried about what could be happening to Kai right now. Maybe Nya had the right idea about checking in with Zane, but I couldn't stop. Kai wouldn't stop if it was somebody else, so it was only right to do the same. Which is why the fact we can't find anything that could help was starting to get on my nerves. I guess I can understand how Kai feels during all the other times now.
Eventually I stopped on a nearby rooftop to catch my breath. That's when I realized I really needed to stop because of how out of breath I really was. I leaned against the entrance wall and took several deep breaths. I wasn't having a panic attack, I know that, but all my worried thoughts weren't helping. I took a bit before I could relax, and I sighed deeply once I felt better. Now I can get back to work, while keeping a closer eye on that. Kai would kill me if I passed out looking for him.
However, before I could really do anything, Zane soon started talking through the comms, "Lloyd, you need to return to the Bounty."
"Why? I still haven't found anything." I answered while walking around the edge. Not really paying attention since I was thinking about where to go next.
"Pixal and I have finished analyzing the security footage and found something." Was all he needed to say to make me stop in my tracks.
"Really? I'm on my way now." I responded, then sprinted towards the ship.
This was good news, really good news. We can finally get pointed in the right direction. And soon, hopefully, get Kai back. Plus, I really want to throw those criminals into Kryptarium myself. But, as soon as I got there, Cole was pacing on the deck with a worried expression on his face. That only gave me a bad feeling about what was on that footage. I walked over to him to talk to him, however he was lost in his thoughts.
So much so that he ran into me. Fortunately I managed to stop us both from falling over. He was surprised that I was there and asked, "Lloyd? When did you get here?"
"A little while ago. You were just distracted." I answered, and he nervously laughed in response.
But he couldn't meet my eyes, which only added to my bad feeling. Though I know that Cole wasn't going to hide anything from me. He hates secrets way too much.
But I still asked, "Cole, seriously, what's going on? Was there something in the footage?"
That question made him even more nervous, but he finally met my eyes. However, before he could answer me the Bounty started up and we took off without any warning.
"What's going on?" I asked, more as a response than an actual question.
But Cole still answered, "The footage pointed to them taking Kai to one of Borg's old fortified warehouses outside of Ninjago City."
"Really?" I sighed in relief. We're getting closer to him.
"Yeah, but we don't know exactly where or which one, so we're trying them all." He continued to explain.
I nodded since it made sense. But he was still nervous, which means there's something else going on. And I'm getting the feeling that I wasn't going to like, but I need to hear it.
Eventually he sighed a little and said, "There's something else, though… They happened to mention a little of their plan."
"Well, that makes it a little easier for us. What did they say?" Come one Cole, just say it so I could know.
He sighed again, louder this time, and finally told me. "They said that now that they got one of us they could get what they wanted. And when one of them suggested that Kai might not cooperate with them… The other guy said he was going to make sure he would, even if things had to get bloody."
I froze from that statement. I think I started shaking, but I didn't care. Because Kai was definitely not going to give them anything. Meaning that he's most likely being tortured right now. That's terrifying me more than anything I've imagined so far.

Kai POV: I panted heavily after he finally finished. I don't know how long he beat on me, but it was for a while. Everything just hurt and my headache was pounding even harder than before. I supposed I should be thankful he didn't hurt my head. However, now I wasn't just bloody on my face, but everywhere. The guy was also panting, but not as much as me. I glanced up at the guy and noticed that his fists were also bleeding. They also had my blood on them.
He cleared his throat as the other guy handed him a towel. How nice of him. As he cleaned them he said, "How about now? Are you going to talk?"
As if I needed to think about it. I spit out some blood and said, "Never. I'll never talk."
Annoyance flashed in his face and got close to me again. But he wasn't saying anything. He's probably trying to control himself. I wanted to make a comment, but before I could react he suddenly had a knife in his hand. And he slammed it into my shoulder. I gasped in pain, but I quickly bit back the scream. I won't give him pleasure, even as he twisted it. Probably get a reaction, however I just glared back at him.
He actually looked impressed, and he yanked it out. Again, I had to stop myself from screaming. I looked up at him and he said, "You're stronger than I gave you credit for, ninja. But everyone has a breaking point. And I will find it."
With that said he left the room, with his partner following soon after. But he stopped before he closed the door to look at me. "You know, I would just tell him what he wants. It'll make it easier for you."
He closed the door and I let my head fall. It was hard to breathe, but I tried to take some deep breaths. I was trying to ease the pain, even by a little. But it wasn't working thanks to my new stab wound. Seriously, where did he pull that thing from? I didn't see it earlier. I coughed and flinched from all the aching pain that followed.
But this was far from enough to break. He's going to have to be creative if that's what he wants. Besides, I have no doubt that the others have at least one lead on them now. I just have to stay strong until then. Though, I guess I am a little worried about how they'll react when they see me. That's the one thing I wasn't looking forward to, but it's not like I have much of a choice. I certainly don't want to stay here.

Torturer POV: I told my partner I need to be left alone. Alone, to yell and punch the wall of my office. That… ninja was messing up my plans and it was driving me insane. Without that data and info on Borg's network I can't get into the other warehouses that have the weapons that I need. But he was ruining that by being stubborn. However, he was the Fire Ninja, the one known for his stubbornness. I shouldn't have expected anything less.
I sighed heavily and rubbed my face. I needed to change my approach to get the results that I wanted. But the only question is what I would do. I doubt that my partner would come up with anything helpful. He was too weak in that area anyway. I walked out to the walk-way and sighed again as I did.
That's when I tripped over some chains. I was surprised by that, but I didn't fall over. Though I was confused and picked them up, and then I recognized them. They were a specialized chain made for the old nindroid prototypes Borg created before the models that were corrupted. They were capable of reaching intense heat levels without melting. Perfect for holding the extremely hot metal being molded. Even unused I could feel the faint heat in them.
That's when an idea struck me and I grinned. Well, Fire Ninja, I wonder how much heat you can really handle. Why don't we find out?
