Soul Kingdom: Faux Paradox Series Chapter 1
It's been a while since I started the Color Series, so to help people remember what happened, Connor narrates a video similar to the Memory Archive from Kingdom Hearts 3. It goes over the night of the meteor shower, AKA the night that changed everything, the Chaos Emeralds and spiritual links, the Soul Princes and their Nobodies, the Universe of Life, and what happened at Soul Kingdom. After the Sly-style narration is finished, we return to where we ended the Color Series. "Hang on, son… we're coming." Roxas speaks up. "Anyone mind if I take the lead here? We are going to go through a lot of different worlds on the way back to reality, and since Sora's out of commission…" The Demi-Soul Princes/Nobodies nod in agreement as we cut to gameplay.
Connor plays like Sly did in the Color Series, but with one important difference: He can use the Laser Slide move that Sly was taught in Connor's section of the Cooper Vault from Sly 3. Talk about a deep cut… anyway, this section is similar to the opening of Ratchet and Clank: Rift Apart, using the blast processing in the PS5's SSD to jump between worlds faster than the speed of loading as we search for a way back onto the Starship Phonix, running into the Original Soul Princes on the way. We start off with some Mushroom Galaxy platforming, classic Mario, before that segways into a Triforce Galaxy/Zelda style exploration section, and then you're on a mosquito in the Dream Galaxy for a shooter section. The G.U.N. truck from Sonic Adventure 2 chases you through one more portal, as the Nobodies finally get aboard the Phonix for a rest. Roxas is out of breath, which may be an understatement.
A few days later…
Kaden comments, "So, we've had a few days of rest, but the current Soul Princes are in danger. Everyone ready for a rescue mission?" Luigi responds with, "Absolutely, but can we not reveal who we are right away? My brother and the other Soul Princes don't remember us… just saying." "We will remember that. If everyone's in agreement, who should we go after first?"
We transition to the same Galaxy Map menu used in the Color Series, again you can do the rescue missions for the Soul Princes in any order.
And with the setup for the Faux Paradox Series done, we,
End Chapter
