Soul Kingdom Faux Paradox: Galaxy of Hearts

Roxas speaks.

"The Galaxy of Hearts. The galaxy whose residents have the most experience when it comes to traveling magical, family friendly worlds. And today, we have one goal: Bring Sora's memories back before the Sin can do anything major. Sora's adventures always led him back to the Destiny Islands, so I think we should check there first. Please tell me the Gummi Ship is still floating near us…" Roxas looks over into the depths of space and sighs in relief. "Kaden, you ready to go? You're the best pilot we currently have…" "I'll fly." "May your heart be your guiding key." Roxas sets up a Duo Chaos Control with the Cyan Emerald.

This section is a throwback to Kingdom Hearts 2's sections in between worlds where things went full on-rails shooter. Star Fox mixed with KH2. The combo system from KH2 returns, and you can gain rewards by setting good scores.

After blasting your way through Heartless ships, the Nobodies notice something. Connor says, "What is that?" "A shadow over Destiny Islands visible from the Lanes Between? Huh. Deja Vu. There was a shadow over Twilight Town earlier. It was right around the time the people we would eventually call the Soul Princes learned about the Villain Alliance." Roxas proceeds to launch into a Sora impression. "If I had a nickel every time I saw a dark shadow over a world while viewing the Galaxy of Hearts from space, I'd have two nickels. Which isn't a lot, but it's weird that it's happened twice, right?" The room explodes in fun laughter. Kaden says a few minutes later, "Not to bring down the mood, but we're about to land on the Destiny Islands." "…Time to get to work."

The Nobodies park the ship close to that place where you could do that race minigame in KH1. Mostly to avoid drawing attention they don't need. Roxas states as they get out and head to the main play area, "Fate keeps bringing us back here… for some reason. I've officially lost count of how many times a Keyblade wielder has been led to this world." "It's probably a lot." Connor gets out his binocucom to search for Sora. "Sora's just across that small bridge." Sora, under the influence of one of the Sins of True Darkness, proceeds to destroy said bridge. "I guess putting on my Organization XIII coat before we got here was a mistake. Demi Soul Princes, let's split up to find those bridge pieces. I'll keep trying to reason with him just in case."The Nobodies nod as they get ready to go. Luigi hits a secret area in the Secret Place, Siccon goes after the one in the treetops (His Homing Attack is definitely helpful..), and Kaden gets on his hoverboots after he finds an energy field in his way, taken down by going through a nearby course filled with rings within in a time limit that takes you all around the map. Piece by piece, the bridge is reconstructed. Roxas has been trying to get through to Sora for afar. It hasn't been working. The Demi Soul Princes make one final attempt to get through to the possessed Sora. Roxas states, "Sora. I know you can fight this. Do you remember how you know the word "Nobody"? Or how that computer in the Old Mansion in Twilight Town was destroyed?" Kaden comments as he notices Sora working through the facts, "Keep going! It's working!" Roxas continues, "I'm sure you remember that fight Riku and I had while you were asleep. The one he almost didn't come back from…" Sora gets tears in his eyes. "Almost there! Sora, you should be able to just push out the remaining parts of the Sin after this. One last thing. Xion." That name seems to do the trick, and the Sin comes out. "Roxas?" Sora summons his Keyblade. "Good to have you back." Ocarina of Time style boss intro, you know the drill.

Invidia - Sin of Envy

The energy field comes down. Invidia uses Flowmotion, having learned some tricks from possessing Sora, such as bouncing off the wall. It can also use Grand Magic from KH3, so take it down quick… Again, it's wounded but not destroyed. Sora asks, "Where's it going?" "We assume it's heading to Soul Kingdom to strategize with the other Sins." "We'll take it down, even if it means a return trip to Soul Kingdom." "We're helping the Soul Princes to get the rest of the Sins to arrive at Soul Kingdom?" "Pretty much. Remind me to run the plan by Bentley after we help Sly." "Deal." "Welcome back to the Soul Princes, Sora!"
