A little while later Simba, Nala and Sarabi had returned to the cave. Sarafina, Nala's mother, ran up to the ground. "Oh Simba am I glad you're back!" the creamy coated lioness cried out.
"I heard Scar was awake," Simba said. "Is he causing trouble?"
"Well he can't really cause to much trouble," Sarafina admitted. "But he certainly was doing a lot of shouting and threatening! Scared us pretty badly!"
"I'll see what's going on," Simba said, heading over to where Scar was being held. Nala and Sarabi were right behind the King in case he needed their support. Simba neared the cave where four lionesses were standing guard. The golden King stopped for a brief second and took a deep breath before heading towards the entrance of the cave. As Simba put his head near the entrance he heard a low groan followed by a muffled, "What the devil is going on? Where the Hell am I?" It was Scar's voice but it sounded garbled and weak.
"Scar?" Simba said, forcing himself to stay calm and not let his voice waver.
"Whose there?" came Scar's scratchy voice.
"Its me Scar," Simba said. "Your nephew, Simba."
"What the Hell do you want?" Scar demanded.
"To let you know what's happening here," Simba responded. Scar was silent so Simba continued, "I brought you back to Pride Rock so you can recover. But as soon as your recovered you're going to be banished to the Outlands. Understand?" Again Scar didn't respond. He only let out a groan which was followed by a thud. Simba looked in and saw that Scar had passed out. Satisfied Simba headed back to his Pride.
"Oh Simba you were so brave!" Nala cried out, nuzzling her mate.
"I'm so proud of you my son," Sarabi said as she too nuzzled the King.
"Thanks you two," Simba said with a smile. Just then Rafiki came into the cave.
"I heard dat Scar was awake," the old mandrill said, the surprise clear in his voice.
"He was," Simba said. "But he passed out again."
"I will check on him," Rafiki said, heading to where Scar was. Simba, Nala and Sarabi decided to follow Rafiki just in case anything happened. The other lionesses moved the rock so Rafiki could enter. After a few minutes Rafiki came back out. "Der is still much recovering to be done," he said. "How he was able to speak let alone shout I do not know. Der was much damage done to his throat. But he in unconscious right now and I have given him medicine to make sure he stays dat way at least fer now."
"Thank you Rafiki," Simba said with a smile. Rafiki smiled back and headed back to his Tree saying he's be back tomorrow.

Two weeks past and things were slowly going back to normal in the Pride Lands. Simba was adjusting to being King and being a mate to Nala. On this day Nala approached Simba, a huge smile on her face. "Well hello there," Simba said, nuzzling his love. "And what has you in such a good mood today?"
"Oh just loving life," Nala said with a giggle. "And I just got back from seeing Rafiki."
"Oh?" Simba said, arching an eyebrow. "And what did Rafiki say?"
"Oh not much," Nala said with another laugh. "Only that I'm pregnant!"
"What?!" Simba cried out, his amber eyes wide with surprise. "Nala are you sure?"
"Very sure," Nala said with a nod. "Rafiki said I'm four weeks along."
"But we've only been married three weeks," Simba said.
"Yes but we were together in the jungle remember?" Nala said, nuzzling Simba.
"How could I forget that," Simba said, licking the top of Nala's head. Then he shook his head. "Nala this is a terrible time for us to have a cub," Simba said, causing Nala to blink in surprise.
"Simba," the creamy coat Queen began. But she was cut off Simba continuing his rant.
"Nala there's barely any food," he continued. "The recent rains have helped a little but there's still no grass for the herds to graze on. We're luck the neighboring Kingdoms are still letting us hunt there but that's not going to last much longer then we're on our own. Having a cub is the last thing we should be doing now. We should wait until things have gotten better."
"Well we can't wait Simba," Nala growled, glaring at her mate. "I'm already pregnant and rather you like it or not our cub will be here in a couple of months. So you had better get used to it!" With that Nala let out an angry growl and stormed away from Simba, the tears running down her face.
"Nala wait!" Simba cried out. "I'm sorry! I didn't mean..." But Nala was already gone. Moments later Sarabi approached her son.
"I just passed Nala," the former Queen said. "She seamed very upset. What happened?"
"Nala's pregnant Mom," Simba said softly.
"Oh honey that's wonderful!" Sarabi cried out.
"No its not wonderful Mom," Simba declared. "This is the worst possible time we could have a cub."
"Well honey cubs have a tendency to show up whenever they want," Sarabi said. "You certainly did." Simba gave his mother a surprised look when she said this part. "When I became pregnant with you things weren't so good either," Sarabi continued. "Your father had just become King after his father, Ahadi had passed away. He was still grieving over that when his mother, Uru became ill. And then your uncle and father had their huge falling out and stopped speaking to each other so needless to say Mufasa was an emotional wreak. And when I told him I was pregnant he was very upset at first. But then he realized that things happen for a reason and he eventually came around and accepted the fact that he was going to be a father. But that took a couple of weeks and I was very upset and worried I was going to lose him. That was very hard on me and I almost lost you during that time from the stress."
"I can't put Nala through that," Simba said, his eyes wide. "I'm going to find her and apologize. Thanks Mom." With that Simba gave his mother a nuzzle and went to find his mate and hope she would forgive him.

Meanwhile a heavily pregnant lioness with a tan coat and blood red eyes was plotting. This lioness was Zira and she was plotting how to get her mate, Scar out of the situation he was in. Making sure no one was around Zira slinked towards the cave where Scar was being help along with two of her good friends, Cala, a rusty brown lioness with dark brown eyes and Shida, a light beige lioness with blue eyes. The three lionesses approached the other lioness that were guarding the cave. "We've come to relieve you," Zira said, knowing no one except her close friends knew she and Scar were still mates. Everyone had assumed Scar had dumped Zira after their son, Nuka was born very scrawny and weak and Scar rejected him. The other lionesses nodded and left the area.
"Now's your chance Zi'," Cala whispered. "Go now before anyone else comes." Zira nodded and went inside. Once inside Zira saw that Scar was still unconscious. "Oh my poor Scar," Zira whispered, nuzzling her love. "That brute will pay dearly for what he's done to you. Once you're healed enough and our son in born things will change. Simba will go down and we will once again rule the Pride Lands. You have my word on that." Just then Scar stirred and opened his eyes slightly and looked at Zira. "I love you Scar," Zira said. Scar let out a groan as he passed out once again. Zira wiped away the angry tear as Cala called for her to come back out. Zira made her way back out, vowing to herself to take Simba down.
