A/N: the digimon T.V. show doesn't exist but the card game was still made. The rating on the story might change as the story progresses and yes Takato and Rika might get together plus Veemon and Gatomon, if you don't like them as a couple don't read. "Wake up this instant young man or you're going to be late for your first day of school." A voice yelled through the house.
A boy with brownish hair then started to sture underneath the covers trying to get up. As he looked at the alarm clock he's crimson eyes noticed that he would be late and on his first day at he's new school. The boy ran around the room collecting he's clothes and then hurried down stairs to be greeted by his mother. As the woman looked at her son she saw he wore tan cargo pants that went to his ankles with a red red t-shirt along with a dark blue jacket.
"I must say you look good in the new clothes." the boy's mother said. "Now Takato are you sure you have everything in your bag that you need?"
"Yes mom, I'll be fine." Takato said, going to the door while grabbing a skateboard that was nearby.
"Have a good day Takato." Takato's father shouted seeing his son leave.
Takato ran down the street then hopped on to he's board and rode as quickly as possible down the street hoping not to be late for his first day at school. As Takato got closer to the school he saw that students were still entering the building.
"Looks like I'm not late for school for once and the teacher can't scold me." Takato thought to himself.
Just then an image of he's old teacher and friends came to mind, detracting Takato from longing where he's going.
"Hey watch where you're going." A voice yelled.
Takato mind immediately left lala land, but not soon enough for he collided with two passing students. As Takato got up he saw that one of the students he ran into was a girl with purple reddish hair wearing glass, and a red summer dress and a blue bandana on he head to keep her hair from getting in her face and a boy with maroon hair wearing a blue vest and a long sleeved striped shirt while wearing cargo shorts, who was now looking on the ground for something.
"WHAT DON'T YOU WATCH WHERE YOU'RE GOING!" the girl yelled getting up off the ground.
"I'm really sorry about what happened, I was daydreaming a little and lost track of what I was doing." Takato apologized bowing a little.
"You better be." the girl growled.
"Hey Yolei, can't you cut the guy a break he said he was sorry." a voice said coming closer.
Takato turned around to see another girl but she had short brown hair and wore a pink & white tank top and yellow short shorts with what looked like a camera around her neck.
"By the way what is he looking for?" Takato asked, pointing to the boy on the ground still looking for something.
The boy soon got off the ground holding something in his hands.
As the boy looked over Takato he then said, "I don't think I've ever seen you around here before." the boy said, putting a pair of goggles on he's head.
"I think not, me and my family just moved into town and I'm a new student here at the school." Takato explained extending his hand. "The names Takato and nice goggles by the way."
"I'm Davis, this Kari, and the one yelled is Yolei." Davis introduced. "And thanks, these goggles were a gift from one of my seniors."
"Cool, well I better get going." Takato said picking he's board up and running into the building.
"You're just saying that because he thinks your goggles are cool." Yolei complained.
"Maybe I am, but at least I did yell at him for an accident that you apologized for." Davis relied.
"That's enough you two, we better get going or we'll be late for class." Kari said quickly walking past the both of them.
Davis and Yolei looked around and saw that most of the kids had gone inside leaving them behind, then quickly followed after kari to class.
Takato walked to the teacher office to find that three teachers were still there.
"Oh you must be the new student from Shinjuku." one of the teachers said.
Takato looked towards where the voice came from and saw a man that was wearing a blue coat over a light blue shirt and black pants.
"Yes, I'm Takato Matsuki." Takato replied, shaking the man's hand.
"Well I'm your teacher Mr. Homisaki." the man said back. "Why don't we get you to class so that you can start working on making some new friends here."
Takato followed the man to a classroom then waited outside for he's que. When he was called in he immediately recognized two of the kids he met outside.
"Why don't you tell the class your name, where you're from and something about yourself." Mr. Homisaki suggested.
"Hello, my name's Takato Matsuki, me and my family moved to town from Shinjuku and guess something about myself would be that I love to draw." Takato Introduced. "I hope we all can be friends."
"Alright right then why don't you take a seat behind Davis." Mr. Homisaki suggested, pointing towards Davis.
Once Takato took his seat behind Davis, Mr. Homisaki started class. As the class went on Takato's mind started to drift back to dreamland again, but was able to snap out of it before it was too late and the teacher called on him. When lunch time came Takato found an empty table in the cafeteria and sat down, as he did he took out a scratch book from his bag. Davis looked over around for he's friends but when he noticed Takato alone he thought of a great idea as he walked over to him.
"Hey is this seat taken?" Davis asked.
Takato stopped drawing and looked over his shoulder to see Davis standing near him.
"Um no you can have it if you'd like." Takato answered.
"Thanks." Davis said seating down. "So, what were you drawing there?"
Takato flipped to a different page of the book and said, "Oh I was just touching up an old drawing."
"Cool, can I see some of your work?" Davis quickly asked. "I've never been that great at art myself but I rock at soccer."
Takato handed the book to Davis then dug out a loaf of bread from he's bag as Davis looked through a few of he's pieces of work.
"You're really good at drawing." Davis said, giving Takato the book back. "You know we have an art club, I'm sure they would love to have you join."
"You think?" Takato asked.
"Yay, you just have to show them some work you've done before and I'm sure with this scratch book they'll ask you to join immediately." Davis said.
As Takato and Davis continued to talk about each other Kari smiled seeing Davis make a new friend and helping him feel welcome.
