"Wait a moment, you're from another quadrant." Patamon said. "How is that possible and what do you mean you have no intention to return there."

"Yes I'm from another quadrant and the reason I don't want to return is because in that quadrant it's not easy to live there. The digimon see it as a fight to survive everyday, basically survival of the fittest."

"Wait a minute, you mean to tell me that digimon fight on a daily basis in this other quadrant and the sovereign doesn't care." Yolei said. "That's wrong on so many levels."

"Yolei is right, Digimon shouldn't fight to survive." Kari agreed. "Maybe there's something we could…"

"I think we're getting off topic." Davis interrupted. "Who is Renamon, what does she have to do with this other quadrant and how are they counted to Takato."

Veenmon sighed then opened his mouth to speak and was interrupted.

"I think I should explain the rest, Veemon." a voice said.

Everyone looks away from Veemon towards the voice to see Gennai and all of the older digidestined including Meme plus Ken.

"So you know about the other quadrants?" T.K. asked.

"Yes and there's a problem that requires the help of more than just you guys." Gennai said. "But before I tell you anything you all must understand each sovereign rules their quadrant however they see fit and the other sovereigns are forbidden from judging one another one this. So no matter how wrong you think it is, Azulongmon can't change how Zhuqiaomon rules he's quadrant. Meaning any idea you were getting about doing something to change that quadrant is off limits to you. Understand."

"So we can't do anything." Yolei shouted. "Those digimon are suffering under Zhuqiaomon."

"And the digimon living in the digital world don't care, truth be told it's a miracle that the digimon haven't gone extinct in that quadrant."

Kari was about to say something but Tai stopped her dead in her tracks.

"KARI I UNDERSTAND YOU DON'T LIKE WHAT YOU HEARD BUT WE CAN'T CHANGE EVER DIGIMONS MIND," Tai yelled. "And from what Gennai told us the sovereigns are in a whole other league, this is one of those times where you have to accept that you can't do anything."

The younger digidestined looked down at how they couldn't do anything to help the digimon of the other quadrant.

"Okay before we get to depressed, why don't you tell us about this?" Davis said taking the picture from Yolei, showing Gennai and the other digidestined.

"That would be Renamon with her human partner Rika Nonkaka." Gennai answered. "This picture must have been drawn by Takato Matsuki."

"Nonkaka, I feel like I've heard that name before." Mimi thought, wishing she knew how she knew that name.

"You know about Takato too?" Davis said as he's eyes went wide.

"Of course I know about Takato, he happens to be the former leader of the tamers that lived in Shinjuku." Gennai answered. "But he and he's friends lost their digimon in a battle against a force that could have destroyed the whole world."

Everyone immediately started at Gennai wondering what he meant.

Matsuki bakery

Takato walked through the back door of the barley and saw that he's dad had just taken out a fresh batch of bread. He looked around and when he saw no one around Takato reached for one of the rolls till he heard a voice.

"Takato you better not touch that bread cooling off." Takato's mother shouted. "That's for the customers. If you're hungry, eat the day-old bagels in the cupboard."

Takato sighed walking over to the cupboard and thought, "I should have known she'd caught me."

Takato reached into the cupboard and grabbed out the day old bagels and went up to his room. The new house was similar to the old on, the only difference was that it was a bit bigger in area space. When he got into his room, Takato threw he's bag to the ground near he's dresser, knocking something over in the process.

"Oh perfect." Takato said putting the plastic bag with the bagel in it on the desk.

As Takato went over to the dresser he saw that a cardboard box had fallen over scattering the contents onto the floor. When Takato bent over to pick it up he saw that it was his memory box from when he was a Tamer that fell over. He then gathered up the pictures that were on the floor plus he's digivice and yellow goggles.

"Man I remember when we took some of this, it was right before I had to leave," Takato said looking through the pictures. "I begged Rika to take the pictures with us so that we could all remember that we each had each other in times of need. I really do miss you guys."

Takato dug around in his backpack and took out a drawing that looked to be a bit older than the others.

"I miss my frineds, but we all miss you guys the most. hard to believe that is almost been a whole year since you guys had to return to your world." Takato said, looking at a drawling he did of he's friends and their digimon partners. "Sorry I couldn't keep my promise Guilmon."

Takato took the rest of he's digimon drawings out and laid them on his desk; he then noticed that one of the drawings was missing.

"Oh crap, if anyone sees that and they know Rika, they could tell her and then she'd kill me." Takato said to himself. "I hope I can find that picture tomorrow."

"Takato can you come down here and give me a hand for a moment?" Takato's father shouted.

"Okay Dad." Takato answered. "Hopefully when they see Renamon they think it's just a drawing from my imagination."

Odaiba Digital World (Quadrant 1)

"I can see that I've lost you for a bit, let me explain something else as well." Gennai said. "When it comes to the different quadrants you also have different time passing by with them. The Tamers came to be about around the time Ken joined you guys as an ally. While you guys had problems in our digital world they had a problem with digimon coming from their digital world and causing trouble."

"Wait a moment, if digimon were coming into the real world, how come we didn't hear about it on the news like when a digimon appeared for us?" Izzy asked.

"That's because of an organization called Hypnos made any information about digimon appearing in the world disappeared, even me and my colleagues couldn't get the information back. It's also thanks to them that information about the d reaper didn't stay on the news for very long."

"D-reaper?" Matt asked. "What's that."

"I was a program designed by humans in order to control the population of the growing digital world so that they would always have room for life by deleting the too strong, but the program evolved just like the digimon and soon it became a problem for both worlds. It saw humans as something that had evolved too much just like the digimon had." Gennai answered. "It was able to come to the real world thanks to all the data it deleted and collected but the tamers thanks to the help of the ones that made the program were able to force it back in to the digital world were it was sealed, but at the cost of them losing their digimon partners."

Everyone stared at Gennai waiting for him to say something else, but he never did and it was Davis that broke the silence asking, "If this D-reaper was about to destroy the world, how come we didn't notice it and how come this so called tamers didn't help us before?"

"Remember when I told you time works differently in the digital world depending on the quadrant your in. the tamers had left the real world for the digital world about four days before the first dark spire appeared and they didn't return until a few days before you guys followed Oikawa into what he believed to be the digital world." Gennai answer. "As for why you didn't notice the d-reaper. Well, when all the digidestined went to the digital world to help defeat MaloMyotismon, time had slowed down in the digital world because he forced his way through the rift to get there. So to all of you a few minutes passed by but in the real world a good week went by. It's thanks to Oikawa sacrifice and a bit of the chaos happening that the time diffuse became unnoticed by everyone."
