"Okay this is all a lot to take in right now." Davis said taking a seat on a nearby rock.
"I'm with you there." T.K. agreed leaning against a tree.
"I think we're all having a hard time processing the information we're just been given." Izzy responded.
"THAT'S IT!" Mimi shouted, scaring everyone out of their trances.
"What's it?" Joe said, putting a hand on his chest. "And it better be good for you to almost give me a heart attack."
"Rika Nonkaka, I thought I had heard the name before." Mimi said. "And I was right, I think Rika might be related to the fashion model Rumiko Nonaka that designs my favorite outfits."
"Okay, so one of the tamers might be related to a model. But how does that help us Mimi?" Tai asked.
"It might make it easier to find her then the rest of the tamers." Gennai said.
"Why do we need to find them?" Matt asked, getting more annoyed.
For the first time ever for them Gennai crossed his arms glared at them and said, "If you would like to say something I'm all ears, but let me tell you that the Tamers are different from the digidestined."
Matt clenched his fist shouted, "It feels like you know more than you're letting on, and by the time we're told it's when a big mess is about to happen or has happened. Also what do you mean the Tamers are different from us"
"You glad you got that out of your system now." Gennai said, uncrossing he's arms. "As for your answers to the questions; one do know more than you about things and I also know that you all have a tendency to go headlong into danger no matter the ricks. The other quadrants are off limits to you for you are the protects of this quadrants, the other quadrants have humans that can enter the other quadrants' digital world when they are needed or are needed. As for your second question the difference between you and the Tamers is that you were all chosen, while the Tamers were given a choice in whether they wanted to have a digimon or not. You may not like the thought of being in the dark on things but remember that there is a time and place for information, can you really tell me that if you were told all of this earlier you would have had a cool head."
Everyone looked at Gennai as T.K. tried to get Matt away from Gennai so that he could cool he's head. Matt took a deep breath knowing that Gennai was right about them trying to help even when they shouldn't.
"Okay how about telling us why we need to find the Tamers." Davis said. "And didn't you say that they lost their digimon partners."
"I'd also like for you to explain what you mean by they chose to have a digimon partner." Mimi said.
"Yes you see an old enemy from your past has come back, and has joined forces with someone the Tamers do not want to see." Gennai said. So you will need their help, which will require you all to go to their digital quadrant to recover their partners." Gennai said walking over to a tree and leaning against it. "As for them choosing to have digimon partners, you see in the quadrant ruled by Zhuqiaomon there are beings known as the digignome that will grant a child's wish if it's strong enough. They also can help digimon they think are worthy of a human, so they send a blue card to humans that are compatible with the digimon that wants a human and is worthy of a partner."
"Okay so the short version of all this is that you have information that we're not ready for and a old new enemy is coming to destroy our home, so we need the help of these Tamers so that we can win." Davis summarized.
"Correct." Gennai said getting off the tree.
"Alright then, one more question." Davis began.
"How do we find the rest of the Tamers and get their digimon back." Kari finished.
"Finding the rest of the Tamers is, just ask Takato and he'll help you." Gennai answered. "As for their partners, Azulongmon has been in contact with Zhuqiaomon and he has agreed to allow one off you to enter he's quadrant with the Tamers so they can get their partners back. The decision on who goes is up to you."
"I saw Veemon and Davis go." Patamon suggested. "Veemon's from that quadrant so he knows the lay of the land."
"WHAT! DID YOU NOT HEAR ME EARLIER, I'M NOT GOING BACK THERE." Veemon yelled.
"Veemon you've been there before and you seem to know who Renamon is." Gatomon said. "So suck it up, we all have had to do something we don't want to at some point in life. It's your turn to do so."
Veemon got ready to respond back but Davis stopped him saying, "Don't worry Veemon you aren't going alone, plus who knows maybe the Tamers partners will be easy to find and we can leave sooner than later."
Veemon sighed knowing that he's argument would just waste their time and agreed to go to Quadrant two. Gennai then left to relay the information to Azulongmon and Zhuqiaomon.
"Okay now that that's decided we should get this Takato kid so that we can get the rest of the Tamers." Tai said. "Where does he live?"
The second generation Digidestend thought for a moment then realized they had no idea where Takato lived in the first place. Yolei then held up the drawn picture that they had and reminded them that she still had to return it to him tomorrow.
"I guess we'll have to see if we can talk to him tomorrow." Sora said looking at the drawing more closely. "I got to say this Takato's a pretty go drawler."
"I know right. I told him he should join the art club at school, but I forgot that the club wasn't meeting for a while thanks to the teacher in charge having an illness." Davis explained.
"Well it's getting late so we should go home for the time being." Tai said. "Will all meet up after school in the park and make sure you bring Takato with you."
"Right." all the second generation digidestined agreed.
As they got to the T.V. monitor they used to get to the digital world Davis noticed that Veemon was walking slower than the rest. As the rest of the group left the digital world and the digimon went their separate ways back to their sectors, Davis stayed behind and waited for Veemon to catch up to him.
'So I'm guessing you're still annoyed that you have to go help the Tamers get their partners back." Davis said as Veemon was about to pass him.
"There are reasons why I don't want to go back to that quadrant." Veemon said stopping in his tracks right behind Davis.
"You know I was once told that they are times that we have to do things that go against what we believe in." Davis explained. "For me it was when Agumon got taken over and we had to fight him in order to save him, for Yolei she had to attack a digimon that wanted to kill her, Cody had to face his fear of the water and lie so that we could get help from Joe, as for T.K. and Kari, something tells me that had to go through things that no kid should but they still did it."
"My situation is different." Veemon shouted.
"Is it?" Davis shouted back, turning around to face Veemon. "Cause all I've gotten from you is that quadrant two is a lot harder to survive in. That just means that we'll be battling digimon like black war Greymon on a daily basis. But if you don't want to go that badly then stay here and I'll go alone to help the Tamers. You're the one that told me that friends should do whatever it takes to help each other even if it means fighting them at times. How come you're not saying that now, where's your courage you had when facing MaloMyotismon alone, or the friendship when you helped me fight against metalgreymon. Where's the your loyalty to those that earned your trust."
"Shut up that quadrant isn't right, everyday is a battle and if you lose most times you don't get another chance. There's no town of beginnings where digieggs of found there and most of the time after the battle the digimon will load your data so that they can become stronger." Veemon explained loudly. "I'm so scared of what could happen if I don't win a fight but that fear disappeared when I came here, it's warm and welcoming here."
"What's there to be scared of?" Davis asked.
Veemon was about to shout at Davis but was stopped when Davis hugged him and said, "No matter the foe we have to fight as long as we're together we'll always find a way to succeed. I trust you, so trust me we've go this."
Veemon hugged Davis back, finally feeling like he might just be able to face he's past and old home.
