Dream world

Rika stud in the center of her bedroom, she looked around the room and saw that the room looked like where a younger version of herself would be in. The door then opened to reveal her father standing in front of her mother.

"Dad?" Rika said.

"I'm sorry Rika but I'm leaving." Her father said walking away.

"Wait come back!" Rika shouted, running after him reaching out her hand.

The landscape then shifted and looked like the park where she and her friends hung out most of the time. Rika stopped running and felt something in her arms. She looked done to see Renamon in her in training form, turning her head a bit to the right as she saw the digital portal.

"Looks like I have to go Rika." Renamon said as she floated away. "Good bye Rika."

"No, Renamon please come back." Rika said trying to move but her feet wouldn't budge.

The scenery then started to change again as Rika regained her ability to move her feet. As she looked around she saw she was now standing in front of the old Matsuki Bakery, but the place looked to be empty from the outside and Takato was coming out wearing his usual clothes, a blue hoodie and cargo pants with yellow goggles on he's head, but what caught Rika's attention the most was that he was carrying a box.

"Gogglehead, what are you doing with that box." Rika asked.

Takato walked past her and placed the box in a moving truck. As Takato turned around Rika's heart felt like it was being crushed.

"That's the last of it dad." Takato shouted.

"Good now let's get going before it gets too late." he's Dad replied.

"Please not you too." Rika said. "You told us you didn't leave until next week."

"I know it's the first time I've lied to you guys but I wanted to be selfish for once and make it not so hard." Takato said, taking off he's goggles. "But I once told you that I'd never abandon you, so I'm making a promise to you alone. I will come back for theses'. Good bye Rika, don't worry We'll all see each other again."

Takato took Rika's hands and placed he's goggles in them then before Rika could react he kissed her on the cheek then ran to the moving truck.

Rika immediately ran after the truck as it drove shouting, "Takato you better keep your promise you got me. If you don't I wont ever forgive you."

Nonkaka residence

Rika opened her eyes to see that she was lying on her bed reaching her hand out to the sealing of the room. Once she got out of bed she walked over to her dresser and changed out of her nightgown to a pair of jeans & her signature heart t-shirt. When she was about to close the draw she saw a tiny box in the corner. As she took the box out she felt a twinge of pain in her heart, she opened the box to see her digimon cards, digivice and a pair of yellow goggles.

"With a dream like that I really hate my life. I really wish you had at least told me your new address so that we could see you again a lot sooner," Rika said, picking up the googles. "Then again I might have just punched him first for lying to us about the date he was leaving."

"Rika are you up, you need to get going or you'll be late." a voice said from behind the sliding door.

"Okay grandma I'm going now." Rika said putting the googles back in the box then returned the box to the dresser.

Matsuki Bakery

Takato awoke to the smell of burning bread coming through he's room, he ran down to the oven to see smoke. Takato quickly got the fire extinguisher and put the fire out, when Takato claimed down he looked at what caught fire in the first place and saw that there was bread in the oven but it looked different from what they've made before.

"Takato are you alright." a voice shouted coming into the kitchen.

"I'm fine mom, but please tell Dad to let me be the one to make digimon bread." Takato said, throwing his Mom one of the burnt bread Takato got out of the oven.

Mrs. Matsuki sighed then said, "I've told him multiple times that not to leave bread in the oven if no one knows about it and to stop trying to make bread that you created."

The back door then opened to reveal Mr. Matsuki with a bag of ingredients. Takato shook his head while Mrs. Matsuki glared at her husband.

"I think I'm going to go get ready for school. Good luck Dad." Takato said, going back up stairs.

"HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU TO WATCH THE BREAD UNTIL IT'S DONE OR MAKE SURE ME OR TAKATO KNOW THERE'S BREAD IN THE OVEN!" Mrs. Matsuki yelled loud enough for people outside to hear her.

Once Takato was dressed and ready for school he left the house before he's Dad tried to ask him for the recipe for digimon dread again.

"You think Takato will ever help me make the digimon bread again." Mr. Matsuki asked, still a little scared of his wife.

Mrs. Matsuki sighed before answering, "I don't know, truth be told there are times I see him drawing pictures but it is only of the seiner. Before I thought he drew too much about digimon but now that I don't see him doing it. Then there's the fact that you and I both see that even when he's smiling he's sadder than ever."

"He really misses his friend." Mr. Matsuki said.

"At first I was scared of Guilmon but as I got to know him I saw that he was like a second child and new little brother for Takato." Mrs. Matsuki explained. "I guess I'm just like Takato, I miss Guilmon too. I thought moving here would make it hurt less but it seems I just made Takato leave the only friends he had."

"Don't you dare put all of the blame on yourself. I thought It was a good idea too." Mr. Matsuki said, holding her wife.

"Maybe, but I'm the one who kept it from our son till all the paperwork was done and there was no turning back." Mrs. Matsuki said, hugging her husband back. "Do you think Takato blames me for making him leave his friends?"

"If I know Takato he probably knows that you had the best of intentions." Mr. Matsuki explained. "But if it really matters to you, you could ask him."

"You got a point." Mrs. Matsuki said before kissing her husband. "Now get the bread in the oven so that we can open up the place."

Mr. Matsuki let go of his wife then went to the oven to make sure he didn't burn another batch of bread, while he's wife got the counter cleaned off.
