A/N: ["Talking on the Phone"], {messing each other},
"WHAT'S A GATOMON DOING HERE." Takato shouted, backing away towards the door.
Everyone stared at Takato wondering how he knew Gatomon. The rest of the digimon then came out of hiding standing by their partners.
"You all have digimon, how is that possible." Takato questioned. "I thought after we defeated the D-reaper all the digimon were forced back to the digital world."
"That brings us to our explanation." Davis said, taking a seat. "But first I need to ask you if you still have your D-3.
"My D-3?" Takato questioned while still looking at the digimon.
"You know what you got when you got your digimon partner." Yolei said, showing her D-3 to Takato.
"I don't have one of those but I do have a Digivice, but my looks different from yours." Takato said. "And I left mine at home."
"Oh man I was hoping we could do this today." Davis said.
"Davis!" Kair shouted.
"What?" Davis responded.
"We still need the rest of them to come go with you to get their digimon back." Cody said.
"Wait, get our digimon back and what do you mean you need the rest of them? Who are they?" Takato said getting annoyed that they were talking about him like he wasn't there.
Kair took a deep breath then said, "Maybe we should explain the situation to you."
Takato then found a chair and sat down and said, "I'm all ears."
The digidestined then did their best at explaining what Gennai told them about an enemy coming that requires both their groups working together. As they explained the situation to Takato he's smile grew wider and wider.
"Got to say it's going to be great to see my friends again, I just wish it was under different circumstances." Takato said getting up. "But I guess I should make a few calls."
"What do you mean." Cody asked. "We can just go get your friends, they can't live that far away."
Takato looked at the other kids then said, "I'm the only one living here in town, the rest of them live back in Shinjuku and one of them is going to hurt someone if you guys just show up out of nowhere."
"Well then I say we call it a day then." Davis said getting up. "Tomrrows a Saturday, so try to see if your friends can be here. If not we'll have to go without them to go recover your digimon."
"Sounds like a plan to me." Kari said, getting her bag.
"It'll also allow us to make sure we got all the preparations ready to go." Cody said as Yolei got off the computer.
All of the digidestined then picked up their digimon partners and left the room with Takato following. When Takato got home he saw that the store was doing well but not to the point where he's parents needed his help. As Takato got to he's room he pulled out he's digivice from he's box of memories.
"Hey Takato can you come down here?" Mr. Matsuki asked loudly.
"In a moment Dad I need to make a call first." Takato answered back.
Takato then heard the sound of something breaking, Takato put his phone and digivice on the desk knowing whatever broke his Dad was going to need help quickly. Once Takato was done helping his Dad with the bread he was making while he cleaned up the broken glass, he returned to his room feeling a bit more confident.
Takato then picked his cell phone up and made a call while thinking, "I hope she hasn't changed her number yet."
The moment the phone was answered Takato got a bad feeling and switched the phone to speaker.
["ALRIGHT GOGGLEHEAD I HAVE HALF A MIND TO HANG UP THIS PHONE FOR THE STUNT YOU PULLED!"] a voice shouted from the other end of the phone.
Takato smiled then switched the phone back and said, ["It's good to hear your voice to Rika."]
["Before we start I've got someone with me that might want an explanation as well."] Rika said.
["Okay but do you mind making this a call to everyone or is that too much?"] Takato asked. ["and tell Jeri I'm sorry."]
["You'll have to call the two morons yourself, I don't have there numbers on my phone."] Rika responded. ["Also how'd you know Jeri was the one with me?"]
["She the only other person you can stand to be around."] Takato answered, making another call.
Once everyone was in the call the words were said.
[Kenta: "You didn't have to lie to us about when you were leaving."]
[Kazu: "Yay chumley I thought we were friends."]
[Henry: "Alright that enough guys."]
[Rika: "Yay, I'm more interested in why gogglehead is calling us now."]
[Kazu: "Why did he call you first for that matter."]
[Takato: "Because she'll yell at me the moment she answers the phone so I wanted to get that out of the way before I called the rest of you."]
[Henry: Suzie's voice "Henry, play with me."]
[Takato: "Hey Suzie, how would you like to have your friend back."]
[Kazu: "What are you talking about chumley?"]
[Takato: "Before I answer that, how fast can you guys get to Odaiba?"]
[Rika: Jeri's voice "Why do you ask?"]
[Takato: "I met some guys in school who have digimon and they said they might be able to get ours back. They might even be able to help get Leomon back."]
[Everyone: "WHAT!"]
[Rika: "Takato better not be pulling my leg or I swore I'm going to show you a new definition of the word pain."]
[Henry: "How's that even possible."]
[Takato: "Can't explain everything but it seems that a new threat is coming and Azulongmong has spoken to Zhuqiaomon to help us get our digimon back. So is there a chance you guys can come, we're on a time schedule so I have to go tomorrow or we never get our chance again."]
[Everyone: silence.]
[Takato: "Guys you still there."]
[Rika: "Is there a chance you can have us sleep at your place, or am I going to have to get a hotel."]
[Takato: "Truth be told I was just about to ask my parents if I could have you guys over."]
[Kazu: "I'm in then. I'll sneak out if I have to."]
[Kenta: "You can count on me too.]
[Henry: Suzie's voice "Henry can I go?" Henry's voice "Sorry Suzie not this time, but don't you worry I promise I'll find Lopmon and bring her home."]
[Rika: "Don't worry Suzie when it comes to promise Takato and Henry allows deliver."]
[Henry: Suzie's voice "Okay I'll trust you."]
[Takato: Okay I'll see those that can make it tomorrow at noon, It's going to like old times again."]
[Kazu: "Looks like the Tamers are back in action."]
Everyone then hung up the phone and as Takato got off the phone he looked at the door to he's bedroom to see his mother.
"I guess you heard my conversation." Takato said, putting his phone down on his desk.
Mrs. Matsuki smiled then said, "Kind of hard not to when one of your friends yells like that. Part of me wants to tell you to stay but then realize that you would go even if I tried to stop you. So promise me that you'll be safe and come back home even if you can't find Guilmon."
Takato saw the look in his mother's eye, she needed to be sure she wasn't going to lose her son.
Takato hugged his mother tightly and said, "No matter what I'll be back."
Mrs. Matsuki hugged Takato back and allowed some of her tears to fall. When the hug was over Takato went over to he's desk and went through a few papers.
"Any chance you and Dad feel like helping me make some bread for my friends and about them staying here." Takato said turning towards his mother with three papers in his hands
Mrs. Matsuki put her hand up then said, "I'll call Henry and Rika's parents to tell them I've agreed to let you go and let them stay here. As for the bread you should already know the answer."
Takato then walked down stairs with his mother to get ready for the reunion of a lifetime.
