Takato woke up early, got dressed then grabbed he's D-Arc & cards off the desk and ran down stairs, as he got down stairs he saw his mom in the van waiting for him.
"Can't let you and your friends walk all the way around town before going on adventure." Mrs. Matsuki said, holding up her son's skateboard out the window.
Takato got into the van and they drove to the train station. When a train pulled in Tatako immediately recognized three people in a flash, but when he saw one of them he questioned if what he saw was real.
"Hey Rika, Henry, Jeri." Takato said, waving his hand high.
Henry ran up to Takato and high fived him glad to see he's friend again, Jeri then hugged Takato tightly, but the moment Jeri let go Rika punished Takato in the arm.
"Ow, Rika that hurt." Takato said, rubbing his arm.
"That's for lying to us." Rika said, taking a pair of yellow goggles out. "This is for helping get our partners back."
"I'll only accept those when we have our digimon standing next to us." Takato said, pushing the goggles back. "And I have to ask about what you're wearing."
Rika's face then started to turn red from embarrassment and anger at the fact she forgot to change out of the outfit she wore for her mother while she was on the train. she then glared at Jeri and Henry for not telling her she was still wearing the dress.
"I thought I'd thank my mother for agreeing to let me go by wearing this dress alright." Rika explained. "Do you mind waiting while I go change real quick."
"We've got time before we have to meet the others, so go ahead." Takato said, trying to not look down at the frilly pink dress Rika was wearing.
"There's a bathroom other there." Mrs. Matsuki said, pointing to the restrooms not that far away.
"Thanks." Rika said walking away.
Once Rika was out of earshot Takato aske, "Please tell me that Kazu and Kenta didn't see her in that?"
"Don't worry, no one is dead." Jeri said. "Kenta left before Rika arrived and Kazu was held at home because he's parents didn't trust him not to try sneaking onto the train."
As they talked Mrs. Matsuki the joy in Takato's eyes returned to what they usually were before that had to move. When Rika came back she had on a pair of jeans, her heart t-shirt, and D-Arc clipped to her belt. They then all went to the van and drove to the school to see that someone was waiting outside the gates for them.
"Hey Davis did you wait long?" Takato said, rolling down the window.
"Nope just hoping you guys didn't get cold feet." Davis said back.
As they got out of the van Mrs. Matsuki gave Takato a large bag.
"Try not to lose the bread this time around." Mrs. Matsuki said as Takato took the bag.
"No promise." Takato said puting the bag over his shoulder.
"Then be careful, I can't lose you." Mrs. Matsuki said, hugging her son.
"You won't, I promise." Takato said, hugging his mother back.
As Takato's mother drove away they entered the school and made their way to the computer lab. Once they got there everyone introduced themselves.
"So you guys have your digivice's or what." Yolei said, a bit annoyed.
"What's with her?" Jeri asked.
"Don't worry about her, she's just mad at Davis." T.K. answered.
"What for?" Takato asked see her glaring at Davis trying to melt him with heat vision.
"He forgot to return book he borrowed and now Yolei has to work in the library till it's returned." Cody explained. "Problem is that the books with Ken but Yolei thinks his lying to get out of helping her with the books."
"Oh, okay." Takato said not wanting to get involed for once.
Everyone then took out their D-Arc's and showed them to the digidestined. The digidestined eyes went wide at seeing the digivices the tamers had.
"Cool your digivice's look completely different from ours." Davis said, taking Takato. "Hey what's this slot for."
"It's for the cards to help our digimon." Henry said, taking a card from he's deck. "The digimon card game is really popular in Shinjuku but it hasn't spread that far."
"There's a card game." Cody said looking at the card Henry was holding.
"Is that how you knew Gatomon?" Kari asked.
Takato nodded his head as Davis gave him back he's D-Arc.
"Alright the portal is ready." Yolei said. "And it looks like the rest of the digidestined are in the digital world with Gennia already."
"Okay." Davis said, taking he's D-3 out. "Digiport Open."
The next moment Davis was sucked into the computer, when the Tamers saw this they immediately followed smiling. As they got to the digital world the Tamers were surprised to see all the greener.
"Got to say, I think your guy's digital world is a bit nicer than ours." Takato said leaning against a tree.
"You can say that again." Henry said looking around.
"From what we've heard your digital world is a lot more harsh with survival of the fittest." a girl with short red hair. "Oh I'm Sora, nice to meet you."
"Likewise, I'm Takato." Takato introduced. "The girl in the green dress is Jeri, the girl with red hair is Rika, and the boy in the orange vest is Henry."
"Well I'm Tai," Tai said, shaking hands with Takato. "The one in glasses is Joe, the guy with the laptop is your tech expert Izzy, one standing next to T.K. is Matt his brother. And the girl with pink hair is Mimi."
"Why is she looking at Rika?" Takato asked seeing Mimi eyeing Rika as if she had something she wanted.
"Oh that's because she thinks that Rika might be related to Rumiko Nonaka in some way." Tai explained. "She's a huge fan."
"Okay." Takato said getting off the tree.
Takato then walked over to Rika and said something to her that made her look at Mimi. Rika then sighed and walked over with Takato to Mimi.
"So you're a fan of my mother huh?" Rika said standing in front of Mimi.
Mimi smiled so wide that it looked like it hurt.
"I know we've just met but do think that when's this is over you could introduce me, I've always loved how Ms. Rumiko looked in her outfits." Mimi questioned.
"Sure I don't mind, after all you guys are going to help me get my friend back." Rika agreed. "It's the least I can do for you."
"Oh thank you." Mimi said hugging Rika.
"Alright you guys it's time to go." Gennia said coming into view. "Azulongmon will be here soon."
Just then a giant storm cloud came over head and Azulongmon came out strong as ever.
"It is good to see you all again." Azulongmon said. "Are the Tamers and their temporary protector ready to go."
"We've been ready the moment we got here." Takato said proudly.
The rest of the Tamers then stud near Takato ready to face whatever comes their way.
"Alright then." Azulongmon said. "And what of you Davis."
"Good to go." Davis said standing near the Tamers.
"I rather not go, but if I must." Veemon said, walking next to his partner.
Gatomon then walked next to Veemon and asked, "Azulongmon is there really no way that Zhuqiaomon will let more than one digidestned go?"
"Not a human but he might let another digimon go with the Tamers." Azulongmon answered.
"Then ask if I can go. I'm a champion level digimon, I'll be a lot more helpful to them." Gatomon said.
"Gatomon are you sure about this?" Kari asked.
"Yes Kari I am." Gatomon said not turning around. "I hope you'll understand."
Kari knew that when Gatomon wanted to do something she didn't and no one could stop her if they tried. Azulongmon's eyes then started to glow for a moment then stopped.
"Zhuqiaomon has agreed to your request so long as your human stays here." Azulongmon
"Fine." Gatomon said.
"Gatomon please be careful." Kari said hugging Gatomon.
Once Kari let go of Gatomon a blue light surrounded the once going to the other quadrant.
"I believe the Tamers already know this works." Azulongmon said. "Also the one choosing can also choose which digimon you land near."
"So who wants to decide?" Takato asked, holding his bag tightly.
All the Tamers looked at Takato like he should already know.
"Are you sure, you know what I'm going to pick for direction." Takato said.
"We know, but you're supposed to lead us." Rika said, holding he's goggles up.
"So lead us Takato." Jeri said.
"Fine but who's digimon comes first?" Takato asked. "Because I'm not going to do that."
Gatomon raised her hand then suggested, "Why not Renamon, it seems that Veemon might know her."
"GATOMON!" Veemon shouted.
"Alright Renamon it is." Takato said, pointing to the sky. "And say that down is that way."
"Here we go." Rika said as they started to float.
"Hey what's happening." Davis said, grabbing Veemon and Gatomon.
"Get ready for the fall." Henry said, taking out a rope from he's bag. "Everyone take hold, we don't want to get separated."
The next moment Davis felt like he was falling he then looked down at his feet to see that the ground was getting farther away faster and faster.
"Are we flying?" Davis said as Veemon took hold of the end of the rope.
"YOU WISH." Rika said pointing to the direction they were falling. "You also might want to know it's going to hurt a little."
"What do you mean?" Davis asked.
"Um Davis I think the ground is getting closer." Veemon said scared.
"Wait, hold on, we're not flying at all we're falling." Gatomon shouted.
"This is going to do more than hurt, it's going to kill us." Davis said as they got closer to the ground.
