A/N: Truly sorry of the late updates I've just had some writers block with a few of my works and decided to take a break until I got some ideas. Here's the new chapter of the story hope you like. please leave a review of what you think.
"So, you want the top or the bottom bunk?" Rika asked once they had changed.
"I'll take the top if you don't mind." Jeri answered.
A knock then came to the door and when Rika opened it she saw that it was Takato's mother with a few blankets. She placed the blankets on the top bunk.
"Sorry the top bunk was never made because Takato sleeps on the bottom bunk all the time, and I just wanted to make sure you girls didn't need anything else." Takato's mother said getting ready to leave the room.
Rika smiled then said, "Not unless you're willing to tell me if your son is hiding something in this room."
"Rika, you shouldn't ask that." Jeri said.
"The only hiding spot I know at the moment is the one in the bottom drawer of he's desk. That's where he hides his drawings of, I don't know what." Takato's mother answered, leaving the room.
"I was just kidding; I didn't think she'd tell me about a real hiding spot." Rika said looking at the door.
Jeri then closed the door to the room then saw that Rika was trying to on the bottom drawer of Takato's desk.
"What are you doing Rika?" Jeri questioned.
"Sorry Jeri but I kind of interested in what Takato could be hiding in this drawer. Especially since he locked it." Rika said, taking a paper clip she found on the deck to pick the lock.
"Rika you know better than to go through someone's things." Jeri said, trying to stop Rika.
"Unless you have some type of information that could be more interesting or know something you shouldn't I'm getting this lock open." Rika explained without turning around.
Jeri thought for a moment, then thought of something that Rika would care about and said, "I have a crush on Henry."
"I kind of figured that out when we were on our way to find the digimon." Rika quickly said. "Try again."
Jeri racked her brain trying to think of something to stop Rika then remembered something that she knew Rika would hate her for bringing it up but knew it would let Takato keep he's privacy, "I saw what Takato did to you when he left."
Rika immediately stopped picking the lock and stared at Jeri, then got up off the floor and said, "I'm going to have to confirm if you saw that or not you know."
"Takato kissed you on the cheek then ran to the truck before you could say anything, I also know you want an answer about it."
"Rika why didn't you tell me about that." Renamon said appearing out of nowhere.
Rika's face became as red as her hair from hearing someone saying it out loud what had happened that day. After taking a breath she said, "Okay I'm going to ask that you don't tell anyone about that."
"Okay but I have a question." Jeir questioned. "What are your feelings about Takato?"
"Not answering that." Rika quickly said.
"Come on Rika you could use the help and Jeri's better than your mother when it comes to it." Renamon said out loud.
Rika sighed knowing Renamon was right; she was stuck, and Jeri at least knew Takato well enough to help her. Rika turned around then said, "This conversation doesn't leave this room. got it?"
Jeri nodded in agreement with Rika.
"You have a crush on Henry, and I have a crush on Takato." Rika admitted with her face glowing red from the embarrassment of saying it.
"Oh, you two will make the cutest couple." Jeri said, hugging Rika tightly.
"I Don't know about that Jeri." Rika said getting out of the hug. "Me and Takato couldn't be more different. I doubt he feels anything for me."
"Then what do you call what he did when he left." Jeri questioned.
"The spur of the moment, and if you don't accept that then who's to say he's feeling couldn't have changed after all this time."
"Oh Rika, I know it's hard but have a little faith Takato's a nice guy to be around." Jeri said. "Besides you should know better than anyone that trying to hide your feelings won't work. Takato will believe that something is wrong, and he'll do whatever he can to see you smile."
"If I'm not mistaken isn't that how you became friends in the end." Renamon quickly said.
Rika immediately glared at Renamon while Jeri snickered, when she stopped, she suggested, "How about if I'm willing to tell Henry how I feel you have to talk to Takato about your feelings for him."
Rika thought for a moment then said, "Add a time limit for it and I'll agree."
"Fine I'll tell him within the week and Renamon will be both of our witnesses to us confessing." Jeri said, holding out her hand.
"Yeah, and when the week passes, and you haven't told him I don't have to say a thing." Rika agreed, shaking Jeri's hand.
"Now that you both have a deal, I think it is time for you both to sleep for tomorrow will be a long day." Renamon said, phasing out of sight.
Rika and Jeri both climbed into bed both agreeing they were going to need their sleep, in order to help their friends.
Dream Realm (Takato)
"Great another dream like this." Takato said looking around trying to figure out what was happing this time. Takato stud next to a tree, "At least I'm not floating in the air this time around." Just then a fire broke out and as the trees burned digimon ran away as fast as they could. He then saw a dark figure rise out of the forest and engulf it in darkness. The next thing Takato knew he was standing on top of the Hypnos building but there wasn't a soul around. Takato looked around some more then saw another figure standing in front of him. The figure looked like a copy of himself but the other Takato had an evil look in his eye.
"Is everything ready?" the other Takato asked.
"Yes." another voice answered.
"Soon it will be time to show those weaklings real power." the other Takato said. "But first remove the intruder."
"As you wish." the other voice said.
Takato then felt a cold chill run down his spine the next thing he knew he was back in his family's living room hearing Guilmon snoring as loud as ever.
"I hate those dreams," Takato said to himself. "The only good thing that they ever brought me was that I got to meet Rika."
Dream realm (Rika)
Rika was standing in a park alone till she saw Takato leaning against the swings holding a letter. When he saw her, he walked over to her and looked at her without a hint of emotion.
"Takato are you alright?" Rika asked.
Takato then read aloud the letter he was reading.
Takato for the longest time that we have been friends I have had feelings for you, I wish to be more than friends. Please meet me in the park after school. I wish to hear your reply in person for better or worse.
Your friend hoping to become lover
Rika N.
When Takato finished reading Rika felt like her heart was going to stop. The letter that she wrote but didn't give to Takato was now with the very person she didn't want to have it. The next thing that happened brought Rika to her knees as Takato ripped up the paper and threw the pieces on the ground.
"What guy would ever love a girl like you, your own father left you why would I want you." Takato sneered.
As he laughed loudly the world seemed to crumble around Rika as she cried. When she opened her eyes, she saw that she was still in bed. She rolled over wiping away the tears from her dream.
"Are you alright Rika." Renamon said through the mind link. "The link between us is stronger than before, I was able to see part of her dream."
"I'm fine, you don't have to worry." Rika responded. After a while Rika asked. "Do you think he would really say that to me."
"No, I don't believe Takato would ever say that to you Rika." Renamon reassured.
"I hope you are right Renamon, and I was once telling goglehead not to worry about his dreams so much now I am." Rika said allowing sleep to slowly take her again.
"That just proves you both have changed for the better." Renamon said to herself as she looked at the moon.
