"I am going to find you little witch. When I do, you will pay dearly for what you've done." I heard the master's voice. It sounded so far away, but so real."NO! Go Away leave me alone." Then nothing, just his sinister cackle of laughter. I woke up with a start and looked around. It took me a moment for me to remember that I was no longer in my room in the castle, I was in a lair on a different world called Tarkir and most importantly I was with a dragon. I looked over to the dragon and saw that he was resting. Kind of laying on his back, wings spread flat on the ground. He looked quite peaceful. I wanted to trust him to tell him everything, but I was not quite sure that I could completely trust him yet, though I very much wanted to. He had been so kind to me, and I felt that I owed him everything already, but I needed to know that he would not hurt me. Suddenly, I had a thought. I remembered my adoptive mother telling me before my master had taken me away that you could always tell the heart of a person by listening to their heartbeat. At that moment, I really wanted to listen to Ugins' heart, but how? I decided that I had to try it even if I annoyed the dragon. I got up and limped over to him. Carefully, I attempted to climb up to his heart or at least where I thought it would be on the left side of his chest. It took some doing, and I was certain that I had awoken him, but he did not move, and his breathing was very steady, so I pressed on. When I finally reached his chest, I pretty much fell there. Sure enough, I could hear his heartbeat. It was so strong, firm, and very soothing. Also, he was warm to the touch as well, and the blue glow was gentle and steady as well. I felt completely safe and at ease for the first time in a very long time. Now I knew that I could trust Ugin, and I was glad, but I also knew that I could not get down easily. After a moment of panic and wondering how Ugin was going to react to me being here, but because of the difficulty getting down I decided that there was nothing for it and tried to fall back asleep thinking that it would be hard to sleep on the beating heart of a dragon, but as soon as I lay my head down on his warm chest, and heard his heartbeat so strongly in my ear, as well as around me I easily fell back asleep. This time, no frightening dreams of my old master. Serenity had indeed got my attention, but also curiosity as she climbed onto me, falling on my chest and then listening to my heart. I kept my breathing steady and pretended to stay asleep so I would not scare her. I was surprised that with her leg, she was trying this, but it also pleased me that she was curious as well as brave. I did not mind. Her laying on me and listening to my heart seemed to give her peace after what had awoken her from her slumber. As she slept, she snuggled against me, shivering slightly. Gently, I lay my hand over her and shielded her from the cold. She again snuggled against me, giving a small, contented sigh.

"Don't worry, little one, you're safe with me. Then I returned to my meditations, being careful not to disturb my sleeping little one.
