Mistress Almara began the summoning ritual, cutting her hand and pouring a tiny drop of blood onto the onyx stone that was to hold the dragon's soul within. Once done she chanted, closing her eyes.
"Rise from the dead I command you Nicol Bolas, rise from the dead, and take your vengeance upon the world."
A mist began to rise from the either, and take the shape of a dragon with two twin golden curved horns.
Once his spirit form had taken shape. Almarra then cast her hand toward a statue formed in the likeness of the original dragon in life.
"Now take form Bolas I give you life, flesh, and bone."
The Dragons spirit melded into the statue, and then possessed the body forming scales that were an iridescent black gold in color. He also formed black blood, and bones, and Then the dragon stood talking his first breath since his death.
"Good," Almara said, "Now you will serve me."
The dragon glared at her, and spoke: "I am Nicol Bolas. I serve no human."
"Oh but you do," Almara replied. With that she squeezed the phylactery causing the dragon to wince in pain.
"You may have bone, and flesh, but your life is mine. I hold your soul in this", Almara said, holding the onyx stone for him to see. "As long as I have this you belong to me."
Nicol Bolas regarded her. He was intelligent enough to know that he could not stop this woman from re-killing him on the spot if he moved against her, but he had time. He would just play her little game until the time was right, and then he would take her out, and take his soul back, but in the meantime he would follow her orders.
"Fine," Nicol grumbled, "what would you have me do?''
"I want you to go to the plane of Tarkir. There you will find a young human child with silver hair, and teal eyes. I want her brought back here alive, but beware she is guarded by a dragon that you might recognize. I do not care what you do with him, but bring that girl to me."
Nicols eyes flashed; the woman had to be speaking of his still living twin Ugin the Spirit dragon; he would just kill him again, and bring the girl back.
"As you wish," he said.
"Good. Now remember I want the girl brought back here alive. Now go, gather your strength and make your plans, but remember I hold your life in my hands so do not fail me. You only have one chance, and I give no second chances."
With that Almarra turned away, and left the chamber.
Nicol Bolas spread his wings. It would take a bit more time to prepare his new body for the journey, but when he was ready he would go to Tarkir, kill his twin for good this time, and bring that girl whoever she was back to this woman who held his soul. After that… Well The multiverse would be his plaything once again.
