Toadette's Perfect Bowling Game
On a perfect fall day at Peach's Castle, Toadette is relaxing in the lounge when suddenly, she has an idea. She smiled to herself and said, "I think that it is time for me to go bowling and good thing there's an official bowling alley in the Game Room downstairs. Come on!"
So Toadette ran downstairs to the Game Room and sure enough, the bowling alley is all set up and ready to go. Toadette ran to an empty lane, picked up her pink and white bowling ball and said, "Now let's get this game started! Scoreboard, a full game if you would please!"
The scoreboard agreed with her and said, "You got it! One official bowling game, coming up!"
Just then, the ten pins came in at the end of the lane and with that, the game is about to begin. Toadette stepped up to the lane with her ball and with a smile, she's ready to play!
When everything is ready, the scoreboard said, "Frame 1, roll 1! Game... START!"
Toadette looked at the pins very carefully, took careful aim and with a perfect delivery, she lets go of the ball as it heads straight for the pins.
After a few seconds of rolling, the ball hits all ten pins in a single roll. The scoreboard looked at it and delivered the first result of the game.
"STRIKE!"
Just then. an X appeared on the first frame to signify a strike. Toadette looked at it and said, "Alright! The first strike of the game! Looks like I'm going to enjoy this game after all! Scoreboard, let's go to frame two!"
"You got it," The scoreboard replied as the lane is reset, "Frame 2, roll 1!"
With all of the pins back in play, Toadette took out her ball, threw it at them and with a perfect hit, all ten pins came down once again.
"It's another strike and that's a double," The scoreboard said as the second X came on the board, "Great roll, Toadette! Looks like you're on your way to a perfect game! Ready for the third frame?"
"You know it," Toadette replied as she picked up her ball once again as the lane is reset.
"All right, then! Frame 3, roll 1!"
Then the process repeats for frame three and with all ten pins came down, it is Toadette's third strike of the game.
"Turkey for Toadette," The scoreboard said after registering her strike on the third frame, "So far, so good! Well then, shall we move on to frame four?"
"Let's do it," Toadette replied as she kept on going.
As the game goes on, more pins came down as Toadette scores six more strikes in frames four through nine.
Just then, it was time for the tenth and final frame of her game. The scoreboard looked at her score and said, "Well Toadette, here we are at the tenth frame! Right now, you have a golden turkey for nine consecutive strikes and if you can get three more strikes in this frame, you'll achieve a perfect game. Do you think you could do it?"
"Of course," Toadette replied as she steps up to the lane with her pink and white ball, "And I'm ready to bowl!"
"All right, then! Here we go! Frame 10, roll 1!"
Toadette smiled, threw the ball at the pins and then, all of them came down!
"It's a strike," The scoreboard announced, "And because of that, you'll get to bowl twice in this frame!"
"Nice," Toadette said with a smile as the pins came back in, "Let's go again!"
"You got it! Frame 10, roll 2!"
So Toadette picked up her ball and after a few seconds of rolling, the pins all fall down once again.
"Another strike," The scoreboard said as the 11th X appeared on the board, "Well Toadette, this is it! The final roll of the frame and most importantly, the game. You're just one strike away from becoming the first Toad ever to bowl a perfect game. Just one more, and that's it! Now before we do that, I just want to congratulate you for making it this far and no matter what happens here, just have fun and enjoy the game. So, are you ready to bowl for the last time?"
Toadette looked at the lane and with a smile, she said, "I'm ready to finish this game!"
"All right, then! Toadette, prepare to bowl!"
So Toadette picked up her ball, walked straight to the lane and when she got there, the pins are all set up for the last time. It is time to bowl for a perfect game.
When everything is ready, the scoreboard said, "You're about to see history in the making as Toadette is one strike away from perfection. Can she do it? We're about to find out right now! Frame 10, roll 3! Ready..."
Toadette looked at the pins, took a deep breath and then...
It is time.
"BOWL!"
With the word shouted, Toadette ran to the lane, pulled her arm back and then...
The moment came.
ROLL!
As soon as she lets go of her hand, the ball was released as it rolls across the lane. It all comes down to this, the final roll of the game.
After a few moments of waiting, the ball is heading for the pins. The scoreboard saw it and said, "This is it, everyone! The ball is rolling to the pins and…"
Toadette looked at it, waited for the final results and then...
CRASH!
All ten pins came crashing down for the last time and with that…
The final results are in.
"IT'S OFFICIAL! TOADETTE HAS BOWLED A PERFECT GAME!"
With the announcement made, Toadette jumped for joy as the final strike appeared on the board to make it official. The perfect game is now complete as a golden pin trophy appeared to signify her achievement.
"Congratulations, Toadette," The scoreboard said, "You're the first Toad ever to achieve a perfect game and for that, the trophy is officially yours! Great game!"
"Thanks, scoreboard," Toadette replied as she saw the trophy on the scoreboard with her name on it, "I'm so happy for this moment! Looks like I'm now an official bowler thanks to my perfect game!"
"Of course you are and because of that amazing achievement, you'll get to bowl again! Are you ready for game 2?"
"You bet! Scoreboard, reset the pins and let's start the second game!"
"And here we go!" The scoreboard said as the lane is reset for her second game, "Game 2, frame 1, roll 1!"
And so, Toadette is enjoying a nice game of bowling as she rolls the ball to the pins. What a perfect day for Toadette.
