Trails into Reverie: The Chaos of Babel

Crossbell has finally gained its independence. The SSS and all of Crossbell finally have their dreams come true. Suddenly, Rufus Albarea and the newly established Ebon Defense Force attacked and took over Crossbell once more. Three Heroes: Lloyd, Rean, and a mysterious masked man must work together to solve this crisis and free Crossbell together once more with friends all over.

9. Lloyd's Route Act 2 Return from the Dead

"Nnngh... ah..."Lloyds slowly rose up up. "Where... am I?" He looked around, seeing nothing but blue skies and cloud. "Am I... in the sky?"

"Not exactly!"A voice said, causing Lloyd to have an ! over his head.

"Who said that?" Lloyd turn his head to his left and then his right until a light came down in front of him and appear a cat-like creature before him. "Huh? A cat?"

"Technically I'm not a Cat. I'm a Dream Eater. You can call me Chirthy."

"A Dream Eater? You mean you're a Pokemon?"

"Not a Pokemon either. But you probably won't understand it." Chirthy waved it off.

"I'm not so sure about that, but... What is this place?" Lloyd asked, turning his head to his left and right and then up.

"Well, you, Lloyd Bannings... are in the Final World."

(Kingdom Hearts III ost - Stranded Beyond)

"The Final... World? As in I'm in another world?" Lloyd asked

"Well, I suppose you can call it that. But in truth, you should think of it as if you're in limbo. You're dead." Chirthy answered, causing Lloyd to look in horror with two ! over his head.

"Wh-What?! I-I'm...!" Lloyd then gasped as he eye widened as his final moments was Rufus slicing his head off. "I'm... died." Lloyd look at his body. " Rufus... actually killed me. Slicing my head off. So that means... I'm in Aidios Hall..."

"Well, not exactly." Chirithy shook its head. "It's true that you're dead, but at the same time you're not."

"What do you mean?"

"Someone out there is clinging on to you. No. Perhaps I should say more. They refuse to let you go. That's why your soul hasn't wandered into Aidios' Hall, someone is holding you back, refusing to let you go and move on." Chirithy explained.

Lloyd rub his arm. "I think I know who you're talking about. Elie... Tio... Randy... Aoi... KeA... Wazy... and Rixia... no... perhaps more I could name. Including my Pokemon."

"Yep. Your friends are holding you back. It was very admirable of you to keep fighting for the sake of your nation's independence. However, your opponent: Rufus proven to be too strong for you to handle. Including his Miraidon. You're a pretty stubborn guy, aren't you?"

"Yeah. I've been getting that a lot. A lot of stubbornness comes in handy. And comes a long way. Never thought that stubbornness would bleach out and lead me to my death."

"You thought you were invisible, didn't you?"

Lloyd let out a soft chuckle as he looked at his hand. "Maybe. Hah..." He looks up at the sky with solemn. "So this is where people from all walks of life go when their friends or family... maybe even both refuse to let them go into the afterlife, huh?"

"Yep. You're stuck here for a while my friend."

"I see... Is it possible that I can be revived? Like the 1-Up Mushroom?"

Chirithy shook his head. "I'm afraid won't help you. Rufus and Xehanort ordered the Heartless to devour your corpse in case someone did try to revive you with the 1-Up Mushroom."

"Hah... As expected Rufus wouldn't dare leave my body and wanted to dispose of anyone who would get in the way." Lloyd looks at his hand. "That means he's after the SSS too, isn't he?"

"Maybe so. And they'll end up like you too, one by one until you will disappear into Aidios' Hall."

"I see..." Lloyd clenches his fist as he grits his teeth before he looks at the sky. "I thought that I would live long enough to see the day Crossbell would gain its independence. That I will be standing it with my friends by my side... with Elie... with KeA." Lloyd look down with a solemn look. "But instead... I'm here. My wish... no... our wish will never come to pass, will it?"

"And what is that wish?"

Lloyd closes his eyes before opening them. "Our only wish was to be free. For Crossbell to have true freedom—freedom that no one would be able to take from us again. Behind that wish was one burning desire: to be proud once more. We wanted to reignite the pride that everyone in this land held deep in their hearts. It was finally within out reach. All we had to do was grasp it. So why? Why couldn't we?"

"You really love your homeland, don't you? You're quite the patriots, aren't you?"

"Yeah. Why wouldn't I be? Crossbell has been in chains by the two nations for a very... very long time. All we wanted was to be free. And now we finally had that chance... but now... it's gone again..." Lloyd's palm face as he grits his teeth. "So why... Why were we taken from our hope... our dreams... our pride... Why were they taken and stepped on once more?!" He fell to his knees as Chirithy look as Lloyd punched the ground repeatedly. "Why... Whywhywhy!? I just wanted Crossbell to have its freedom! Where we aren't shackled! Is that too much to ask!?" Lloyd then begin to sob as tears stream from his eyes. "All we wanted... *sniffle* Was to be free..."

"Lloyd..." Chirithy gave a sad look.

"It was our duty to protect Crossbell... but now... it's all over..."

"Duty, huh..."

Lloyd wipes his tears as he got back on his feet. "I'm... sorry. You shouldn't have saw that..."

"It's okay. It's natural that you would feel that way. Crossbell means a lot to you. As do your friends, and your home's independents."

"Yeah." Lloyd sighed until he had a look. "Hey, Chirithy. By any chance... Is there a way I could be revived?"

"...Hm... I haven't the foggiest of idea if it is possible but I don't see why not" Chirithy shrugged. "But the problem is how. The 1-UP Mushroom will only work if it is placed into the body. Without your corpse, it's impossible. It would be possible if you have a Keyblade and know the Power of Waking, or others who have the power over life and death. There are many options, to choose from but that depends if any of them realize it. Plus, if you're thinking about your friend KeA with her powers, I wouldn't place your faith in that. She lost all her power remember?"

"Yeah. I know it's impossible for her. She only has a small proportion of it. I guess I have no choice... but to be here... until my soul journeys into the Goddess' Hall. Hah... Damn it all."

"Guardians of the underworld." A voice spoke, causing Lloyd and Chirithy to have an ! over their heads. "Cast aside the rules that govern life and death... So that this body, void of life... may draw breath!"

"That voice...!" Lloyd eye widen as a magic circle and Lloyd's body begins to glow. "Wha—What's happening?!"

"Someone is calling your soul back to the world where you came from." Chirithy answered. "Looks like you're making your comeback."

"Then that means...!"

"Yep. Lloyd. Before you go. Allow me to give you some piece of advice. Don't lose heart, don't be reckless, and teach the people of Crossbell to believe in themselves." Chirihy said and Lloyd was pulled away into the partial. "Cya, Lloyd."

Somewhere...

Lloyd slowly open his eyes as he woke up as he stare at the ceiling. "Huh..." He blinked once and then responded in surprise. "Ahh!" He quickly roses up.

"Whoa!" A voice cried as Lloyd turn his head, revealing to be Veyle.

"Veyle?"

"Ah! It worked!" Veyle let out a sigh of relief as she wipe her forehead. "Oh, thank goodness it works!"

"What work? Wait..." Lloyd turn his head to look around. "Where are we? Wait..." Lloyd touch his neck and breath in, then touch his shoulders to his waist. "I'm... I'm alive...? Was it... all a dream?"

"A dream? No wait. Never mind all that. I'll explain, but wait a moment." Veyle turn to the door and form her hands to a triangle to her mouth. "Rixia! Chie! Yosuke! It work! It work!"

"Huh? It worked?" A voice came from the door as coming in was Chie Satanaka, Yosuke Hanamora and Rixia who gasped in sighted. Rixia covered her mouth as she gasped.

"L-Lloyd? Lloyd, is that really you?" Rixia asked.

(Trails into Reverie ost - A Piece of Light)

"Yeah. It's me." Lloyd said as he got back on his feet.

"LLOYD!" Rixia ran up to him and hug him.

"Whoa!" Lloyd exclaimed as he stepped back. "Rixia?"

Rixia let out a cried as her tears came out. "L-Lloyd, *sniffle* Oh, Llyod! You're back! I... I... Aaaaaaaahaaaaaa!" Rixia cried on his shoulders.

"Rixia..." Lloyd said solemn and then hug Rixia.

"Holy crap, so it's true! You can being his soul back from the dead!" Chie exclaimed

"Whoa, dude! That is some major power you got Veyle!" Yosuke stated.

"Ahaha... I'm not sure how to comment on that but I'm glad I can be of help." Veyle said, scratching her cheek with a nervous smile before turning to Lloyd. "But thank goodness you're back, Lloyd."

"I-I'm all right... but... was that all a dream?" Lloyd asked.

Veyle shook her head. "No. It wasn't a dream, Lloyd. You did died."

Lloyd head had an ! over his head as he gasped.

"Do you not remember? Rufus severed your head when you confronted him. And then that man called Xehanort summon the Heartless to devour your corpse. Nothing less of you remained. The reason why you're here now is because I summon your soul... and turn you into a Corrupted."

"A... Corrupted? You mean Sombron's method for his soldiers?"

"Yes. It was the only way that can bring your soul back and reconstruct your body with it. Right now, your a Corrupted. You're still an undead. But." Veyle pull out a 1-Up Mushroom. "You won't be a Corrupted for much longer if you take the 1-Up Mushroom now. Rixia, can you let go of him?"

"I..." Rixia let go, wiping her tears. "Sorry."

"It's okay. Lloyd, take it."

"Veyle. I can't thank you enough." Lloyd said with a warm smile as he took the 1-UP Mushroom and his body began to glow until it made. Lloyd grasp his fingers as he look at his body.

"One last last." Veyle approached and then she take Lloyd's arm and then touch the veins and then the post. "Yep. It's work! Your back and alive."

"I see." Lloyd smiled with relief before he gasped. "Wait, what happened to the ceremony?! What about Crossbell's Independence?!"

Veyle, Chie, Yosuke and Rixia all look dishearted.

"Crossbell City was occupied again..." Rixia answered. "By the Ebon Defense Force and their commanders: the self-proclaimed 'supreme leaders' Rufus Albarea and Xehanort."

Lloyd gasped in horror.

"After you were killed, the Ebon Defense Force were ordered to kill all members of the SSS and anyone who aided them. The Crossbell Guardian Force and Police Force suffered casualties as they tried to push back. Many people who still haven't lost their minds end up escaping the city. The other members of the SSS included."

"I see..."Lloyd lowers his head. "I hope they made it out okay. But what about KeA and Cecile? They came to watch the ceremony. Are they all right?"

(BGM ended)

"I'm afraid we don't know." Rixia answered."I've gone scouting a few times since the ceremony ended two days ago, the only ones I could find were Veyle, Yosuke and Chie. I couldn't come across any leads about what happened to them. Or Ilya or Sully, for that matter."

"Yeah, we tried to help search for them too. But we couldn't find anyone." Yosuke muttered.

"Yeah. It was just us." Chie nodded her head.

"I see..." Lloyd clench his fist. "Damn it!

(Trails into Reverie ost - Raindrop in the Wind)

"How could I let this happen?! Protecting Crossbell was my—was OUR duty..."

"Lloyd..." Rixia muttered.

"Staying here isn't an option. I have to see for myself what's happening in the city."

"Wait, what?!" Chie gasped. "You can't be serious!"

"Yeah, that's an extremely bad idea!" Yosuke agreed. "They got guards everywhere, they'll spot you, it won't be like a welcome back party!"

"They're right, Lloyd." Veyle agreed. "Going toward the city is too dangerous."

Emblem Tiki appeared. "Yes. You have to forget about the city."

"Forget about the city? What about the people?!" Lloyd asked.

"..."

"I'm sorry, but there's no way I'm going to just sit here and let Rufus and Xehanort do as they please. I have to see what's going on in Crossbell City."

"You're not going to listen, are you?" Veyle asked.

"..." Lloyd lower his head.

Veyle sighed. "All right. If you want to see what's going on in the city, I'll help you."

"Wait, are you serious Veyle?!" Chie exclaimed.

"I am. However, we can't get too close. There are Ebon Defense on patrol of the area. So we need to be careful, okay?"

Lloyd nodded his head. "Of course. What about the rest of you?"

"Well..." Yosuke trailed off.

Chie sighed. "Okay, I'll give you a hand."

"Wha— you too Satanaka?!"

"I'll go too." Rixia spoked.

"You too, Rixia-san?!"

"I want to check on the city too. I'm concerned about everyone there too. Give me time to change"

"Aaaugh!" Yosuke scratching his head "Okay fine. I'll help too. Just... be careful okay man..."

(Trails into Reverie ost - Lost Soul)

Lloyd close the door behind him as they leave the Boathouse

"Again, I like to apologize for dragging you all for my selfish request." Lloyd lower his bow as he apologizes.

"Hey, don't worry about it. I mean sure it does like a very dangerous thing to do, but as they say, the dangerous the stuff is, the greater the treasure... right?" Chie asked

"Okay, how the hell could you possible learn that?" Yosuke asked with a deadpan look.

"Hehe. I know you well enough Lloyd that you're a man of the law." Veyle smiled.

"Plus, if you wanna thank us, then you better pay for some nice meal when we somehow take Crossbell back." Chie smirked.

"Haha. Of course. It will be on me." Lloyd smiled

"Yeah, I wouldn't recommend you do that." Yosuke said. "She's an absolute beast when it comes to meat."

"Hey, I can kick you where it hurts Yosuke!" Chie glared at him.

"That reminds me, you're Yosuke and Chie, right?" Lloyd asked. "I remember meeting you back with Prince Olivert's wedding, Mishelam and during the meeting of Operation Jornmangangr if I recall."

"Yep. I'm Yosuke Hanamura. I'm a high school student. A second year student." Yosuke said.

"And I'm Chie Satanaka. Also a Second Year like Yosuke. The two of us came from our own world after the Cross Tag Battle incident. The two of us are Persona users. Oh, basically we fight using our personas... Er... how do I explain this... Yosuke you do it."

"Me?!" Yosuke pointed at himself. "Aww, come on..." he palm face. "Okay, basically..."

"Haha! You two are quite the comedy duo. I think the persona involves power from the soul. I remember meeting Mitsuru and her Shadow Operatives during the Great Twilight."

"Oh yeah, you met them. Well that makes it easy." Yosuke said. "I can fight with using knives like the ninja. While Chie..."

"I can fight using Kang Fu!" Chie did some Kang Fu stand. "Whoaaaaaata!" She throw a spin kick and then kick Yosuke's face on suddenly.

"Ahaahow!" Yosuke take back a few steps as he covered his face.

"Yosuke, what are you doing getting in the way of my kicks?"

"It's not like I wanted to be kicked!" Yosuke groaned, causing Lloyd, Rixia, Veyle and Emblem Tiki to sweatdrop.

'They're quite the interesting duo to be sure.' Lloyd thought. "Okay, is everyone... Ah!" Lloyd check into his lower waist. "My Pokeballs! What became of my Pokemon!?"

"Don't worry, Lloyd. Elie said she collected your Pokeballs and then headed to grabbed KeA. I don't know what became of her, though."

"Ngh..." Lloyd grit his teeth. "I hope Elie is okay... Okay, let's go." He said as he takes off as Rixia, Veyle and Emblem Tiki look with solemn.

"You notice it do, did you?" Veyle asked.

"Yes..." Rixia nodded her head, then pull out her Pokeball and came out was Umbreon and they walk together.

As they walk to the streets, Umbreon ears twitch and look up.

"Umbr!" Umbreon alerted as they look at the sky and see Zauber Soldots flying around, forcing Lloyd and the others to hide.

"Whoa, those things are... zumba... dolka?" Chie asked

"Zauber Soldats." Lloyd corrected her.

"Indeed. Those new Soldats showed up in the city after the battle." Rixia nodded.

"It happened after you died Lloyd." Veyle told him and then turn to the direction. "It looks like they came from that fortress over there."

"That's Tangran Fortress. It was on the progress of being decommissioned. Why would they make them now of all times?" Lloyd wondered.

"I learned the occupying forces set up defensive lines to the east and west while I was counting yesterday. They have several of those Soldats along with those strange Pokemon at your disposal." Rixia told him

"Well, that's not good news..." Lloyd muttered. "I'm also concerned about the Miraidon Pokemon. Florian and Renne said it was one of a kind compare to the Pokemon that resemble them in Paldra. That aside, this will make it difficult for Erebonia and Calvard to intervene too."

"Regardless, I can't hear any more of them approaching. Let's make our way to the city while we have the chance."

"But we'll also encounter monsters along the way though so we gonna have to be careful with them." Chie said.

"Yeah. She's right. Think you can handle them, with coming back from the dead I mean?" Yosuke asked

"I should be fine. Let's go." Lloyd said as they take off.

They found a few monster wandering the streets and wild Pokemon like Weepingbell who was minding its own business until Lloyd charge in and bash the poison plant, causing the Weepingbell to run away.

"Err... Lloyd, are you okay?" Chie asked

"No. I'm not fine. I won't let Rufus Alberea and Xehanort won't get away with this." Lloyd said as he continues to walk. "First things first: we need to see how the city's holding up."

"Lloyd..." Veyle muttered as they continued onward the streets until another patrol of Zauber Soldots was seen.

"Umbre!" Umbreon yelled

"This way—quickly!" Rixia grabbed Lloyd and they ran to hide by the lower cliffed until they're gone.

"Whew... Man, that was a close one.' Yosuke wipe his forehead.

"We're not far from the city, but we can't keep getting slowed down. We need to—"

"Lloyd." Emblem Tiki appeared.

"Tiki?" Lloyd look at her.

"I understand you want to save the city, I really do. But you can't let your emotions get the better of you. Mar-Mar told me that if people are driften too far with hatred and anger, it will lead them to poor decision. Like what we're doing now! You're even disregarding your own being too! After Veyle resurrected you. Are you truly going to throw all that away and put us into danger?!"

"Tiki, I..."Lloyd lower his head. "No. You're right."

"I'm sorry for shouting at you, but Mar-Mar said sometimes shouting is enough to get attention."

"Haha. Thanks Tiki. I promise I won't let my anger get the best of me." Lloyd smiled. "I was letting the stress get to me. That must have seemed pretty pathetic. Some leader I am."

"I don't think anyone can blame you for losing your composure." Rixia said. "That ceremony was meant to be the moment we spent over two years fighting for, only to have the rug pulled out from under us again. We're frurstrted—and the SSS did what lion's share of the work. Of course it would upset you most of all."

"Come on. I think you're giving me a little too much credit." Lloyd scratch his cheek. "If I'm being honest, I feel lost right now. I'm not sure what I should be doing. Even if we make it to the city and assess the situation, how do we fight against an army of Zauber Soldots and those Pokemon? Is it even possible to take Crossbell back from Rufus, Xehanort and the Ebon Defense Force?"

"What is it that matters most to you?" Rixia said, causing Lloyd's attention. "Can you truly turn your back in the face of what you hold dear?"

"From Ilya..."

"I was hoping you'd notice. It's what she had you deliver to me during Crossbell's last bid for independence." Sully smiled. "Those words have kept me going over the last two years, no matter how bad things have been. As long as you don't lose sight of the most important thing to you, your path will always be clear."

"Exactly!" Emblem Tiki smiled. "Mar-Mar always believes in the things he believes in peace. It's always important to remember what we're fighting for. After all, you remember the Emblem you, right? He fight for peace for Elyos. Isn't that the same thing to you with what matters the most?"

"What matters the most..." Lloyd paused for a moment. "Right now, that would be liberating Crossbell. Though I still don't know how we're going to achieve that. What I do know is that the rest of the SSS and all our allies are out working toward the same goal. So if we can reunite with them and work together, maybe we'll have a chance."

"Yeah! Us and Narukami did that back in our world." Chie smiled.

"And for us too when we defeated Papa too." Veyle smiled. "We'll make it through somehow. Just keep believing and focus on what we can do to help."

"Right. And above all, never lose sight of what matters to us most." Rixia smiled as she hold Lloyd's hand. "For me, that would be everyone I cherieh, including Arc en Ciel... and you, too, Lloyd. So please try to be hind to yourself. I'll be right here with you if you need support."

"Rixia, Veyle, Tiki, Chie, and Yosuke..." Lloyd trailed off and then smiled. "All right. I will. Sorry for worrying you all. It's just as some of you said. All we can do right now is focus on what is right in front of us. It simple, really. I can't believe I forgot that after all we've been through."

"I agree that knowing what's happening in the city is a good idea. We just need to be careful. Hopefully, it will give us an idea of what yo do next. So I'll give you all the help I can. I'm sure everyone here's agrees. It's the least I could for someone who's always accepted me—whether I was Rixia Mao or Yin."

"Uh-huh. And you even accepted me despise being a Fell Dragon too." Veyle smiled. "We'll be there for you, Lloyd for support. Just as you do to us."

Lloyd smiled. "Thank you, Rixia. Thank you, Veyle. And thank you everyone else too. I'll do everything I can to protect the things and people we all cherish. And, no matter what it takes, we WILL liberate Crossbell!"

"Yeah! We'll kick some major bad guy butt!" Chie smirked. "All right, let's keep going!"

They begin to take off once more until they soon reach the city bridge.

(BGM paused)

"We're almost at the city." Veyle said.

"This is the city's east entrance."

"Wait, what's that?" Yosuke pointed as they saw EDF soldiers and Zauber Soldots.

(Trails into Reverie ost - Invisible Hands in the Shadow)

"It's the EDF and more of those Soldats. It figures they'd set up a perimeter here." Lloyd muttered.

"There must be several soldiers stationed inside the city by now." Rixia said as she turn her head to the watchtower. "Everyone, let's try taking cover in that area by the watchtower." We should be able to see the Harbor District from there."

"Good thinking." Lloyd said as they headed to the watchtower. 'I should have a pair of binoculars in my detective tool kit.'

As soon as they taken cover, Lloyd pull out binoculars and then see the sights of the Harbor Districts as many EDF Soldiers are patroling the area and many Zauber Soldots and Future and Ancient Pokemon with them. The people in the district are minding their own business as if nothing happened.

"You were right." Lloyd grit his teeth. "The city is absolutely crawling with them. What's strange is that it's like the citizens aren't even fazed by their presence."

"It must have something to do with the dark powers that came from that woman dress in black." Veyle remark. "When she send her dance, I saw some black wave affecting the civilians. It's like they're being brainwashed."

"Yes. I agree..." Rixia muttered. "Lloyd, do you recall what Veyle said earlier? Rufus and Xehanort both claim that the SSS are a "plague" and are terrorists. There's no denying that if the public sees us, they will turn against on and hand us over to the soldiers to be executed."

"Damn, that's just... so mess up man..." Yosuke muttered.

"I hate to say it, but if you're thinking of sneaking into the city, it's going to be suicide." Chie said.

"Yeah, I know. But that side, what about the Soldoats? Where could they have come from?" Lloyd wondered.

"I heard about it from Levi. He said Zauber Soldots are abominations that corrupted their pilots. Unlike the Panzer Soldots, these Zauber Soldots are capable of using magic engines like the Magic Knights." Veyle said

"That does sound like Levi would say, and I agree with him. They were manufactured by the Black Workshop. However, the workshop is supposed to be completely out of commission; Rean and his friends confirmed it after the war. It shouldn't be possible for new models like those to still be in development." Lloyd then thought of something. "Though now that I think about it, there was definitely something strange about that Asmodyne we fought a while ago. The investigation Erebonia conducted on the Black Workshop turned up no record of a Soldat like that. So they turn onto Professor Kokonoe who took all the info of the Black Workshop."

"What did she say?" Rixia asked.

"She said she found the data of it. It was a project that was working on based on the Gothith, but it was abandoned to favor on the Leviathan unit."

"Wait, if it was abandoned, then how did those guys from last time got their hands on it?" Yosuke asked.

"Maybe they have... some sort of benefactor or something?" Chie shrugged

Lloyd eyes widen the moment the benefactor was mentioned. 'Benefactor... wait...' Lloyd rub his chin. 'There are two members aiding the chief of the gnomes.. And they were...' His mind then vision Epimenides and Cornelia. "Could those two be behind this?"

(BGM ended)

"That's enough sniffing around, you filthy rats!" A voice yelled as the EDF voice came out from hiding and draw out their weapons. Accompany them were three Ancient Pokemon. Roaring Moon, Sandy Shock, and Flutter Mane.

(Trails into Reverie ost - The Dark World)

"Oh crap! Its the EDF!" Yosuke yelled

"A patrol unit!? How were they able to spot us this far off the highway!?" Rixia growled.

"Wait... impossible!" The EDF Soldier look at Lloyd Bannings. "LLOYD BANNINGS?!

"How is this possible? We saw you being cut down and beheaded by our noble Co-Surpreme Leader, Rufus Albarea! How are you alive?!" One of the Soldier giving a death glare.

"Your corpse was fed to the Heartless. It should be impossible!"

"Rufus read that far ahead?!" Veyle grits her teeth.

"He always was devilishly cunning." Lloyd muttered.

"I don't know how you managed to return... or was that a body double." One of the EDF glared.

"Either way, it makes no difference. You will die here and now! We will not allow you plague vermin to be a bane in our supreme leaders rule. And anyone who aided them will die along with you!"

(BGM paused)

(Trails into Reverie ost - Aim a Gun to the Bullet)

"We won't die by your hands." Lloyd brought out his weapons along with Rixia, Yosuke while Veyle and Chie took their stand. "We're going put you all behind bars! Back me up, everyone!"

"All right, let's kick some ass!" Chie declared.

Lloyd form a three way link with Rixia and Veyle while Chie form a combat link with Yosuke. Rixia form a Pokemon link with Umbreon.

Veyle cloak her hands with dark aura as she throw beam of purple fire at two of the EDF Soldiers while Rixia used her craft: Dragon Claw to grabbed and pull Flutter Mane and Roaring Moon and slash them as Lloyd charged toward the EDF Rifle and throw a punch at him. The EDF block then counter by swinging at Lloyd who block and swing at each other. Yosuke ran up and swing his knives against the EDF Sword fighter as they swing at each other while Chie throw a kick at the other one who dodged. The EDF swing and jab at Chie but she block, grabbed the arm, and punched the EDF soldier in his face before grabbed and tossing over her and slam him.

Sandy Shock charge in for Sparks attack and then threw a kick at Veyle but Emblem Tiki rain down a Dragon Stone and then throw a projection and Veyle throw a purple sphere and knock it away. Flutter Fane throw Moon Blast At Veyle.

"Augh!" She winched with Super effective hit.

"Umbree!" Umbreon throw Shadow Ball and push away Flutter Mane

"Mist!" Flutter Mane winched.

Roaring Moon howl and charge with Dragon Rush onto Yosuke which he backflip to dodge, only for the EDF soldier to slash him. He imbued his sword with dark powers and then swing fierce against him as Yosuke block and dodge. Yosuke then summon throw a kick, throw knives and summon Kiraiya to used Magarudyne onto the EDF soldiers and the Ancient Pokemon to deal damage onto them.

Chie then summon Tomoe to combo slash the EDF swordsman and freeze them with Ice, then she rapidly pummel his stomach and kick his chin and crescent kick him to the ground. Sandy Shock used Earth Power on Chie who backflip and then summon Tomoe to used Agneyastra onto the Soldier and Ancient Pokemon. Although Flutter Mane was unaffected.

The EDF Rifle soldier kick Lloyd off and then fired bullets at him as Lloyd shield himself. Rixia swoop in and then combo slash him enough for Lloyd to follow up a punch to the face. Veyle then throw her magic as purple beam burst underneath him, causing him to fall on the ground in defeat.

Roaring Moon fired Dragon Pulse onto Lloyd and Rixia but they dodge as Chie jump up and dive kick Roaring Moon and Yosuke dash forward and summoned Jiraiya to used Garudyne as the wind coursing around, dealing damage onto Sandy Shock, then he toss multiple knives and they were aim toward and slashing around Sandy Shock until it fell on its back.

Chie ran up to the other EDF Swordman and throw kick, but he dodge and then slash to perform a counterattack, but Chie counter the attack and repeatedly kicks airborne until she grabbed and surplexed him and kick him away as Rixia turn and swing her sword to slam him to the ground.

The EDF Rifle user swing at Veyle but she block with her magic until grabbed and Karate Chop the man's throat, causing him to drop his rifle gun and cover his neck, then jump spin and kick the EDF stomach, knocking him to the ground and throw a dark sphere and exploded on him, knocking him to the ground in defeat.

(Resuming Dark World)

"Damn. Nice move Veyle." Lloyd said.

"Hehe. That's something my sister taught me." Veyle smiled.

"Nngh..." The EDF groaned as he slowly rose up. "Damn you... *cough*.

"Had enough yet?" Lloyd glared

"Haha... You must be the biggest idiot that ever existed Lloyd Bannings." The EDF Soldier coughed and smirked. "You made the greatest mistake for coming here and coming back. Now... you will repeat the same death that took your life. Your fate along with your friends will be sealed here." He pull out a communicator. "HQ respond. This is the 27th eastern surveillance unit."

"Ah, crap, he's summoning reinforcements!" Yosuke exclaimed until something swift took the communicator off his hands.

"Sweet Dreams." A familiar man spoked and then he knock the EDF Soldier out with a chop to the next.

"Gah!" He fell unconscious next.

Appeared out of nowhere was a Kecleon who handed over the communication to Lecter.

"This is HQ. Respond!" The operator respond.

"There was a suspicious sighting during our patrol, but it turn out to be just a wild Pokemon minding its own business. We'll be finishing our sweep shortly."

"Understood... Return to your post as soon as your task is complete." He said as the communicator turn off.

(Trails into Reverie ost - Slight Suspicious)

"That should but us a few minutes at the very least." Lechter turn to face the group. "That was a pretty close call, huh?"

"Wh...What are you doing here?" Lloyd asked.

"Do you...know him?" Veyle asked

"Major Lechter Arundel of Erebonia's Intelligence Division. He's one of the formal Ironblood who goes by the same Scarecrow."

"It's been awhile, Bannings. Yin. Oh and nice to meet the two Persona users and... I don't we met just yet, haven't we young lady?" Lecter asked. "But I have to say I am rather surprised. I heard that you were beheaded Bannings. There were many testimonies of you being killed in front of everyone, and yet here you are. Don't tell me you're a zombie or an illusion."

"No. I'm not an illusion nor a zombie. But I was brought back to life thanks to a friend." Lloyd answered

"Seriously? Wow. Talk about plot armor there. Didn't expect to find you so close to the city, though. I don't know whether to call you brave or plain stupid."

"Well me and Yosuke did mention it was a bad idea to near the city..." Chie said before she blinked. "Hey, wait a minute! You're suppose to be one of the bad guys who cause us trouble during that whole Great Twilight thing, right? What the heck are you doing here?"

"Don't tell me you have a hand in all of this, too!" Lloyd glared.

"Hah. Sorry to burst your bubbles, detective. But you're way off the mark. This got nothing to do with me and Claire." Lechter palm face. "I knew something was about to go down, but even I didn't see it hitting the fan like this."

"Whoa, hold up." Yosuke spoked. "Are you saying you knew something like this was going down?"

"No comment?! That's basically saying you do!"

"All right, look. I came out here to cut a deal with you guys. I have some info that you and your friends might want to hear."

"Wait... info?" Chie blinked.

"Fine. I don't necessarily trust you, but I can recognize that hearing you out is in our best interests." Lloyd said. "Though we won't agree to anything else until we know more."

"Fine. But let's get out of here. I know where we can hide before more soldiers come out. Follow me." Lecter said as they took off.

"Some of the people in the city escaped to Armoica Village?!" Lloyd asked in shock.

Lecter nodded. "Yeah. Relatively small numbers, mind you. Still, there was some who avoided being brainwashed by that strange dance and were evacuated to Armorica."

"Man, that's some good news." Chie sigh of relief. "But was there someone leading them by chance?"

"Yeah, though I couldn't tell you who. I figured you'd want to follow up on it if you're planning to liberate Crossbell. It's not like we have any other leads at the moment, given how little we know about the EDF and those Pokemon too." He turn to the direction leading to Armorica Village. "My instincts are telling me something else is going on near the village, too. That's why I figured my best play was to find someone. Although perhaps it's a blessing you've been resurrected Bannings. Of course, I imagine the people will be shock at your resurrection."

"I can't deny that." Lloyd said.

"But all the same, this is our best play here. You scratch my back, I scratch yours. So how about it? Did you buy any of that? It's not like you have a reason to believe me. I wouldn't blame you if you turned me down—"

"No, we accept. Let's start heading for Armorica."

"Sheesh. That was fast. Don't you think you're being a little too thrusting toward a formal Ironblood?"

"Who said I wasn't talking everything you told us with a hefty grain of salt?" Lloyd shot back. "The reality is we're pressed for time, and we need a better handle on the situation. If nothing else, your instincts and strength in combat have proven reliable in the past. You'll be an asset for us." He place his hand over his chest. "Besides, I have faith in our friends. I can't imagine them sitting idly by at a time like this. That's why I know you're telling the truth, whether you meant to or not. Helping people is what the SSS does."

"He does got a point." Veyle smiled.

"Yeah, I don't think I can find anything to argue with you there." Chie said.

"Same. If our friends managed to escape to the village you mention, this might be our best shot on how to help liberate Crossbell." Yosuke agreed.

"I have no objections either." Rixia agreed. "Even if this did turn out to be a trap, I'm sure we can handle it. This isn't my first time working with someone I can't entirely trust."

"Well I can't deny that I'm lucky to have friends like Rixia who have my back. Or a girlfriend like Elie. But don't count yourselves out. I'm lucky to have you guys and Veyle, and Tiki here too."

"Hehe. Just like Rixia. We're glad to help." Veyle smiled

"And we're glad to be counted among as your friends too." Yosuke smiled.

"Oh yeah, totally." Chie palm fist.

"In any event. Here's to a fruitful little partnership, Bannings. Yin. Veyle and two Persona users. Oh, and Emblem Tiki." Lechter said. "I'm looking forward to seeing how far that stubbornness of your takes you."

"This road will take us straight to Armorica Village. There are people waiting for us, so let's get moving." Lloyd said.

"Yeah, it sure does. By the way, what happened to Marni and Mauvier?" Lloyd asked

"We got split up. I can't contact them because something is blocking the signal. So maybe I hope that they'll be in Armorica Village."

"I see. We'll reunite with them soon."

"So how did you managed to be brought back to life Bannings?" Lecter asked

"You can thank Veyle for that. And the work of the 1-Up Mushroom." Lloyd answered

"Had a feeling the 1-Up Mushroom has a place here but Veyle used some sort of resurrection magic?"

"Well..." Veyle paused

"Nothing like that. She summon my soul and turn me into the Corrupted." Lloyd replied

"You mean those undead soldiers Sombron uses.." Lecher muses. "Ah, I see now. So the enemies doesn't know what she's capable of then."

"Yes. But as long as they don't mind out, I'll be fine." Veyle said. "So how far is the village?"

"Well, I'd say we're about halfway to the village now. Practially a stone' throw."

"No signs of EDF patrols either." Rixia added. "Much like when President Crois was in change, I'm guessing they can't spare the resources for neighboring villages and towns."

"That'd work in our favor, at least. I'll take anything that helps us reunite with our friends as quickly as possible."

"They completely blindsided us with that attack on the ceremony. Not to mention Xehanort came back too. Who knows what else they can do. Especially considering everything going on the past month in the Empire."

"Wasn't last month was the month Crossbell was liberated?" Chie asked.

"Did something else happen?" Yosuke asked.

"Behind the scenes, anyway, yeah. For one, someone broke into an RMP Guardhouse. Me and Claire had to look into it. Then last week, Prince Olivert and his wife went messing, the Courageous they were on and all." Lechter answered

Lloyd, Rixia, Veyle, Emblem Tiki, Yosuke and Chie had !? over their heads.

"What? Prince Olivert is missing?!" Emblem Tiki exclaimed.

"And that red ship too?!" Chie asked.

"Shit, that's completely new to us..." Yosuke muttered. "By any chance, did you figure out what's blocking our signal for calling our friends?"

"Nope. I'm guessing Rufus, Xehanort and the EDF are using jammers that been spread onto Crossbell. That's why we're completely blocked out from the rest of the world."'

"That is possible, yes." Lloyd hummed.

"And you think the culprit behind the chaos in Crossbell is responsible for it all?" Rixia asked.

"Yup. Crossbell lies at the center of everything right now." Lechter answered. "Shame Claire and I didn't realized before Rufus and his men escaped. I pulled out all the stops to at least get myself into Crossbell, but they still got the upper hand. Not to mention they even got those Pokemon who makes resembles to some Pokemon. Like the Jigglypuff, Magnetons, Hariyama."

"Man, talk about being well prepared, don't you think?" Yosuke asked. "Where did they get their hands on those Pokemon who look like some of the ones you mention?"

"Not to mention, outmaneuvering you and Claire is no small feat. Not many can pull that off." Lloyd added

Lechter rub his chin. "Tell you the truth, the whole thing still makes zero sense to me. I just... can't imagine that everything he said was a lie. Even he isn't that much of a weasel. Not to mention with Xehanort too. He already completed his amends to both the old man to everyone to make things right. It make no sense."

"I recalled what Xehaonrt said but for Rufus? What did he say?"

"He said that he will take all the responsibility for the late Chancellor's action. It's the best way to quell the unrest in Erebonia and solve the issue of Crossball all at once. It's the best way for us Ironbloods to honor him."

"He really said that?"

"Still, there's no point denying what happened in front of our eyes. So we've got a score to settle. And it's on me to settle it, both for the Ironbloods who once serve under Osborne. and for his kid who can't be here."

"Heh, sure, we'll give it our best shot." Lloyd smirked. "We can't afford to rest until everyone is free. It's the SSS duty to the whole of Crossbell."

Lechter along with Veyle, Rixia and Emblem Tiki made some Solemn look at Lloyd declaration.

"And I'll liberate Arc en Ciel while we're at it." Rixia added. "The sooner we do that, the sooner we can perform again."

"So we're going to be using you—" Lloyd shook his head. "No, you know what? This isn't even the first time you've helped us—you lent a hand in arresting the formal president. So why don't we drop all the talk of using one another and just work together on this?"

Lechter thought for a moment and then chuckled. "I should've figured you'd say that eventually. Fiiine, have it your way. I'm counting on you, Bannings."

Suddenly they heard a roar as they turn their heads to the directions and see Elie, Lilligant, Arcanine, Camilla, A Pikachu with a detective cap, a young man, Alm and Celica and Emblem Lloyd by Elie's side surrounded by monsters, Heartless and Unverse.

(Trails into Reverie ost - Be Caught up!)

"Over there!" Lloyd exclaimed.

"Wait... they're...!" Veyle gasped.

"They're in trouble, come on!" Chie yelled as they headed toward the rescue.

"Hah!" Camilla unleash a wide swing against the Monsters, killing them

"Pikachuuuu!" The Pikachu shoot Thunderbolt, shocking some of the monsters.

"Lilligant!" Lilligant spin rapidly and unleash Petal Dance as Alm and Celice thrust their sword and knock back the Heartless and Unverse away as Elie shoot the Air Solder.

"My goodness what naughty monsters." Camilla flip her hair.

"Tch. They just like to keep coming, don't they?" Alm muttered.

"Children, please evacuate to the village, now!" Celica stated.

"We got you covered, now go!" The boy ordered them.

"R-Right!" One of the children nodded but the Heartless appeared to stop them. "Ah!"

"Get away you—"

"Elie!" Lloyd yelled as he charge in, bashing the monsters as Rixia slash through a couple of Heartless and Lechter swing his sword to slay the unverse.

"Jiraya!" Yosuke summon his persona to throw Magarudyne onto all the enemies in fight with a blast and then Chie swoop in and punch a couple of Unverse away, killing them and Veyle fired a beam of purple energy onto the Heartless and monsters, killing them as Camilla slash, killing the final ones.

"I think that's all of them." Lloyd turn to his left and right. "Guess our help wasn't needed after all." He turn to face the others. "You're all unharmed, right?"

"L-Lloyd...?" Elie stare in shock.

"Good job hanging tough for so long, Elie. I'm glad to see you're all right."

Elie grit her teeth and then she throw her arms and hug Lloyd.

"Lloyd!"

"Whoa, Elie?"

(Trails into Reverie ost - The Sunset We Always Look.)

"I-Is that really you... Is that really you...? Is this a dream? No... an Illusion?" Elie asked, feeling shaken. "I saw you died... right in front of me... Rufus... cut off your head... and fed you to the Heartless... My thoughts were telling me that I will never see you again... but my heart refused to let you go."

"Elie..." Lloyd trailed off and then hug her. "Yeah... it's me... I'm so happy to see you again Elie."

Elie's tears came out as she look up. "Lloyd... Oh, Lloyd! Aha...A...Aaaaaaahaaaa!"

"You feeling okay, Elie?" Lloyd asked

"*sniffled* Y-Yes... I'm okay..." Elie wipe her tears. "But... how... How did you return?"

"Um.." Veyle waved to interrupt. "It was me. I'll explain. I resurrected Lloyd by turning him into the Corrupted."

"Th-The Corrupted?!"

"Yes. However, thankfully, I used the 1-Up Mushroom to restore him back to life. That's how he was brought back."

"Veyle..." Elie ran up and hug her. "Oh, thank you... thank you Veyle!"

"Ahaha..." Veyle hug back. "I'm glad you can smile again, Elie."

Emblem Lloyd appeared. "It's so good to see you again, me. Elie really took it hard. And I'm a bit startled to watch "my" death."

"Haha. I'm sorry about that. But I'm grateful that you're okay, Emblem me. Thank you... for taking care of Elie." Lloyd smiled

"Haha. Of course. She is technically our girlfriend."

"Haha. Yeah."

"Lloyd." A voice spoked as Camilla and the others approached. "We couldn't help but overhear but..." She smiled. "It's good that you're back."

"You too, Camilla. I'm glad to see you're safe."

"Everyone heard and witnessed your death. It shock them to the core. There's no doubt your arrival will surprise everyone. Me included."

"Yeah." Alm said as he and Celica approached. "I never thought you would return from death. Then again, Celica did before."

"Wait, you were Celica?" Lloyd asked

"Yes." Celica place her hand over her chest. "Mila, the Earth Mother resurrected me through her power. My body and soul was offered to Duma when he was in madness. If there was something in our world that can revived you, we could have used it to return you from the blink of death."

"AARUUUU!" Arcanine jump onto Lloyd to the ground.

"Wah!" Lloyd winched as Arcanine was sobbing on him and licking his face.. "Whoa, easy boy! Hahaha! I know, I miss you so much too!"

Then Pokemon came out of Elie's pocket and they were Lloyd's Pokemon who Pawmot, Excadrill, Poliwrath, and Pidgeot who join in on the hugging for Lloyd.

"Everyone! You're okay! Ah! Too tight!"

Another tearful reunion...

"Elie, thank you so much for taking care of my Pokemon." Lloyd smiled as he takes his Pokeball and recalled them except Arcanine to their Pokeball.

"They were your family, Lloyd. I'm just glad they didn't call to darkness too." Elie smiled. "I'm... really glad to have you back." She hug Lloyd as Lloyd hug her back.

The two latter stare and they both share a kiss.

'Should we leave them alone?' Lechter asked.

'Perhaps that may be the best.' Rixia replied until Lloyd and Elie ended their kiss.

"It's good to be back." Lloyd smiled

"Oh, so you're done already?" Lechter asked

"L-Lector!? What are you doing here?!" Elie asked.

"It's... kind of a long story." Lloyd said.

"Excuse me." A voice called out to them as they turn to the Pikachu wearing a detective hat. "You must be Lloyd Bannings I heard so much about from Crossbell, no?" He asked, but all everyone can hear was Pika pika Pikachu. Pi pi"

"Is this a Pikachu?" Lloyd blinked.

"Hahaha. Let me guess, you can't understand him?" A voice asked as a young man approached.

The young man was wearing a white shirt with a red hoodie over the shirt, blue jeans blue tennis shoes with some front. He has brown hair and brown eyes.

"It's not surprising that you don't. But it's nice to meet you, Lloyd Bannings. My name is Tim Goodman. And this with me is Pikachu. He's a detective."

"It's nice to meet you Tim. You too Pikachu." Lloyd smiled.

"Hold up. This Pikachu here is a detective?" Lechter asked.

"Not just any detective, a great detective!" Pikachu said proudly, but no one can understand him, except Tim.

"Haha. But it is true that my partner is a detective. The two of us heard a lot about the SSS and was hoping to pay a visit until the occupation happened. But how about we talk into the village? There are a lot of people who are waiting for us."

"Lloyd?" A voice spoked as they turn and see Cecile. "Lloyd! Cecile!"

"Cecile!" Lloyd smiled.

Cecile ran up to Lloyd anf hug him. But Unknown to all. Someone was watching from the distract.

"Now this is rather peculiar."

"I recalled that man: Lloyd Bannings has his head cut off in front of the people of Crossbell. But now he's been resurrected? This certainly won't do." The figure spoked. "And it seems that the people of Armorica is hiding a fugitive of the SSS. Hehehe. Oh, those poor fools. Well, I couldn't careless about the lives here. This will be interesting news to tell the Supreme Leaders as well as my Lord." He spoke as he vanished.

Rufus Albarea was talking with Xehanort about something as two EDF were on station in Orchis Tower until the figure appeared, causing to turn their heads.

"Oh, hello Mephelis." Rufus greeted. "You already finish your patrol?"

"Yes. And I've just learn something very interesting. You're very aware that you beheaded Lloyd Bannings in front of the people of Crossbell, no?" Mephelis asked

"What of it?"

"Well. It appears he's been resurrected." He said, causing ?! over everyone's heads.

"What did you say?" Rufus giving a cold look.

"He's been resurrected?" Xehanort rub his chin.

"Yes. I don't know who but Lloyd is currently in Armorica Village. Along with another member of the SSS. Elie MacDowell. I believe the people of that village shelter her along with many others who escape the city."

"Armoica Village you say?" Rufus close his eyes as he lower his head. "A pity." He look up. "Mephelis. I have an order for you. Inform Infinite, Garcia... as well as Heiyue to lure Lloyd Bannings and any remaining people who join him into the Ancient Battlefield to exterminate them. Oh. Lure them with what Lord Dimentio has captured. Bring a handful of troops with you. And... Bring Adam and Nu. I have an order for them."

"Lecter tipped us off that an SSS member was in Armorica, but I never expected to run into you, too Cecile." Lloyd smiled. "I'm so glad you're all right."

"And I'm glad that... ah..." *sniffle"* That you're back. I watch in horror when that horrible man cut your head off. I thought I had lost you the same way as I did with Guy..." Cecile wipoing her tears.

"Unfortunately, we were separated from her when the people of Crossbell turned on us, and one of the supreme leaders ordered us to bring KeA to them back in the city." Cecile sadden. "I'm so sorry, Lloyd. I was standing right next to her at the time, so it was mt responsibility. I shouldn't have let this happen..."

"P-Please, Cecile! You don't have to blame yourself. It's not your fault." Elie said. "If anything, I should have... I..."

"Everyone has been worried about that poor girl. But don't lose heart everyone." Camila said. "I'm sure she's somewhere safe out there."

"Yeah, I agree. We will find KeA eventually, and bring her home safely. There's not a doubt in my mind." Lloyd fist pump.

"Lloyd's right. Let's take solace in how many people were able to escape from the city. If they're okay, then I'm sure KeA is, too. I'm can't begin to describe how It feels to know Shanshan and Madame Regine are okay. I was especially worried about Shanshan this whole time."

"Yeah. Think of it this way: We're off to a good start already knowing that some of our friends and family are all right. Though I don't want to make light of the injuries Madame Regine suffered."

"She got hurt?" Yosuke asked

"Sounds like she took a stray bullet to the 's gonna be okay?" Lechter asked

"The doctors said she, fortunately. The bullet passed straight through, so it didn't cause much damage." Elie said. "But given her age, she's going to nee plenty of rest at the clinic for right now."

"That's probably for the best. I wouldn't want her pushing herself too hard for our sake." Lloyd said.

"That's right. Madame Regine will be okay, so long as she takes time to recover. She's in good hands with Doctor Lytton And try not to worry much about where KeA is, all right?" Cecile request.

"I'll try..." Elie muttered

"Well, I'm going to go back to help at the clinic. Let me know if you need anything."

"Thanks, Cecile. We will." Lloyd nodded as Cecile takes off.

Elie sighed. "My apologies. I know there's no sense in bring gloomy right now. The children left the village because they wanted to find a way to cheer me up, and you saw how that almost turned out..."

"You shouldn't blame yourself for that, either, Eie." Emblem Lloyd said. "I'm sure they wanted to help the entire village and not just you."

"But..."

"Hate to change the subject, but I think I'm gonna go do my own thing for a while now that we've made it to the village." Lechter said.

"Yes, we could all use some downtime." Rixia agreed. "I'd like to go catch up with Shanshan and see how she's doing. She's at the inn, isn't she?"

Elie nodded. "Yes. That's where the other refugees from the city are staying as well. She's been worried about you, too, so I'm sure she'll be happy to spend some time with you."

"That sounds like her. I'll go do that, then." Rixia said as she takes off.

"I should head out as well and see how Elise is doing. If you're going off, allow me to join you." Camilla said.

"Are you sure, Camilla?" Lloyd asked

"But of course. I was hoping this would be a nice family time until that man ruin it all. I like to pay him back. But as of now, it will have to wait. But make no mistake. My axe will claim his life." Camilla giggled. "But I'm not in Nohr so I will have to remain from killing. I let the law of the land punish him for his crimes. In any case, I shall see you then." She takes off.

"Yeaaah. Me and Yosuke will take off too." Chie said. "Right Yosuke?"

"Huh? Oh Uh... yeah. Catch you guys later." Yosuke said as he takes off.

"Veyle. We should go too. Come one. I wanna see the village and see if Mauvier and Marni are here."

"I'm gonna check in on the Madame and see if the folks in the clinic need a hand. Give me a holler once you two are gone with the heart-to-heart- you're about to have." Lechter said as he takes off.

"Hm?" Lloyd look at Pikachu.

"He said he wanted to talk to you about something that caught our attention. When you have the time, please find us."

"Oh. I see. Got it." Lloyd said as Tim and Pikachu take off. "Hey, Elie." Lloyd turn to his girl. "Could I interest you in a walk around the village together. I want to get a better idea of how the village are holding up."

"I... suppose we could do that. " Elie nodded. "Armorica may have to be our base of operations for a while, so we should go say hi to Chief Tolta as well."

"Good thinking. Let's go, then." Lloyd said as they take off. "Crazy as times are, this place always managed to put my mind at ease."

"I know what you mean. Especially so now I know you've returned." Elie said and then she look down.

"Why don't we take a look around." He said as they wondered around until they go inside Ash Tree Inn and see Shanshan and Rixia hugging.

"I'm so glad you're all right, Rixia! First I was separated from Daddy, and then you disappeared... I was worried sick about you!" Shanshan said

"I'm sorry for worrying you, Shanshan." Rixia replied. "I'm so relieved to see you're all right, too."

"*Siffle* Rixia! Don't ever leave me like that again! Because as long as you're here, I feel like I can overcome anything! I know things may seem scary now, but we can pull through this."

"You're right, but... I..."

"Well, this is a heartwarming sight." Lloyd said as he, Emblem Lloyd and Elie approached.

"Oh the, SS—" Shanshan had an !? over her head as she see Lloyd. "L-Lloyd!?"

"Hey there Shanshan, you're doing well."

"H-How... You died, didn't you? How are you back?"

"It's complicated but... let's just say I been given a miracle by the will of Aidios." Lloyd scratch his cheek.

"I... I don't understand... but..." Shanshan turn to Rixia. "Does this mean... you're going to be leaving again?"

"We don't have a plans et in stone yet, but most likely, yes." Rixia answered. "I still don't know whether Ilya and Sully are all right. I'll do whatever I must so that we can perform together again."

"I thought you might say that...

"I'm sorry, Shanshan. I know it must feel like we're ripping your best friend from you after you only just got her back..." Lloyd said solemn. "But there are people who need Rixia's help—us included. We need her with us if we're going to secure Crossbell's future and freedom. I know it won't be easy, but we're asking you to have faith in us. We promise we'll take good care of Rixia and give her all the support we possibly can."

Shanshan gave a look saying 'she doesn't want Rixia to leave.

"I'm sorry for putting you through so much—I really am. I promise I'll come back safe as soon as I can. And when I do, I'll bring everyone from Long Lao back with me."

Shanshan sighed. "Okay. But please be careful. I'm going to hold you all to that. You had better look after her!

"We will." Lloyd said as he and Elie take off.

Unknown to them, a dark aura cloak on Shanshan. 'I should be the one looking after her.'

"Hmm?" Rixia turn to Shansha where the dark aura was gone as it wasn't there.

"What's wrong, Rixia? Were you going to say, something?"

"Well look what the cat dragged in!" The chief clapped his hands. "The young folks of the village have been keeping me up to date. That includes, of course, everything that happened in the city. But... the biggest surprise that you're here, Lloyd. The people told us you were killed."

"Yeah. I'm afraid to complicated to explain the situation." Lloyd said.

"Well, I'm just glad that you're all right. People must be exaggerated it seems. Still, you folk've had it rough."

"We're sorry for worrying you, Chief Tolta."

"I owe you so much for taking in the refugees, including the madame. As her temporary secretary, please allow me to express my deepest gratitude."

"Come now, lass. Now more than ever, we've got to expend a helping hand in times of need." The chief smiled. "I owe so much to Speaker MacDowell. He fought for us when those goons were trying to ser up the convalescent home and military camp. Madame Regine was a good friend of him who help him out so much, including you. Not to mention all the times the SSS has helped us in the past."

Heh, we were only doing our jobs, sir." Lloyd smiled

"Ah, spare me the humility! We've been in your debts ever since. Not once have you abandoned the weak. Nope, you've fought for us all.

"Ngh..." Elie look down but putting up a smile. "That means a lot to me."

'You okay, Elie?' Lloyd thought

"If you ever need a hand with something, anything at all, you just let us know and we'll come running. " The chief said. "We may be a rinky-dink little farm village, but we've got your backs all the same."

"Haha, and we couldn't ask for better allies. Thank you so much!" Lloyd smiled as he and Elie take off.

They wondered around and see Veyle is chatting with familiar group.

"Hey there Veyle." Lloyd called out as they turn and see Terra, Erza, Gajeel, Lily, Nel, Rafal, Takumi, Sakura, Elise, Camilla, Shulk, Steve, Min Min, Banji and Kazooie and Lucario. "Oh! You guys are..."

"It's nice to see you again, Lloyd." Terra smiled. "Veyle told us what's been going on."

"Indeed. She also told us that she revived you as one of the Corrupted before using that mushroom to perform the resurrection." Nel said.

"It's good that you're back, Lloyd." Lucario smiled.

"Lucario, Rafal, Nel." Lloyd smiled. "And the rest of you... I recall meeting you back at Prince Olivert's wedding and part of operation Shiny Steel too."

"Nǐ hǎo. (Hello)" Min Min greeted. "I'm sure you must have forgot but my name is Min Min. I'm from Smash Bros."

"That's right. I tcall some of you are from Smash Bros." Lloyd turn to Shulk. "You're Shulk, right?"

"Aye. That's right mate. Next to me is Steve and Banjo and Kazooie." Shulk nodded is head.

"It's good to see you Bannings." Banjo smiled. "It must have been rough to what happened to you. It's thank goodness that Veyle was able to bring you back."

"Well at least you won't be smelling like rotted flesh, that's for sure." Kazooie said.

"Kazooie..."

"Ahaha. Well I don't blame her for that." Lloyd scratch his cheeks. "And some of you are... Takumi, Sakura..." He turn to Erza and Gajeel. "Erza and Gajeel right?"

"That's right. The three of us from the Fairy Tail Guild from Fiore." Erza nodded.

"The three of you?" Elie asked

"That would be me." Panther Lily spoked.

"Oh! I'm so sorry, I didn't see you there." Lloyd apologized.

"Don't worry about it."

"All of us were quite relief from Veyle told us about what became of you. It's a good thing Hoopa brought that 1-Up Mushroom." Sakura said.

"Yeah. But how are you feeling Lloyd? More the same?" Elise (Fire Emblem) asked.

"Yeah. I'm still feeling okay. But what brings you all here to Amorica? Were you also in Crossbell?" Lloyd asked.

Terra shook his head. "Not all of us. Many of us here witness the event that happened in the news before it was cut off recently. We had a feeling something bad was going down so we came here."

"Yep. It wasn't easy getting over here, I'll tell you that. Those Guys really know how to make a blockade." Banjo said.

"But you know what pisses me off is that Xehanort and even that Rufus guy occupied the place. Have those guys know any shame in their broken heads?" Kazooie asked.

"Honestly, I didn't expect Xehanort would be back and go back to his wicked ways. And here we thought he learn his lessons for good..." Terra muttered.

"All of us were quite upset over what that man and his accomplishes are up to." Erza said. "He got some nerve for what he did to you and occupied Crossbell."

"Yeah. Guess the guy hasn't learn his lesson after all too." Gajeel let out a tch in the end. "I guess that's what they are as piece of shits."

"I can't argue with you there. Some of us like me and Sakura were in Crossbell but we recently just left when the occupation happened. We came back because Elise was in trouble." Takumi said.

"Yes. What's more, many of the people were hurt like Madame Regina. Me and Elise treated her wounds when they made their escape.

"Yep. Lucky, we just about heal those who needed healing." Elise (Fire Emblem) smiled.

"I can't thank you two enough for helping Cecile with the work." Lloyd smiled.

"Aww, don't mention it. We're just glad we can wouldn't mind if we join you on being part of the team, right?"

"You want to help Liberate Crossbell?"

"Of course. This land was your home is it not." Rafal asked.

"We owe your Emblem much during our time back in Elyos. It's natural that we can repay the favor." Nel agreed. "I'm sure we'll find a way to free Crossbell from the delusion of that man. And deal with the other one."

"However, we also have another problem on our hands." Camilla said. "With those soldats at their disposal, not to mention the other figures Rufus somehow recruited we don't know what they're capable off."

"That is true. Veyle told us there were many of Rufus's colleagues who reveal themselves. Some of them even look so tough." Min Min said. "It will not be easy if we don't know what they're capable off."

"That is true..." Elie agreed.

"Yeah, you're right. Still, I cna't thnk you guys enough for joining us." Lloyd smiled.

"Oh! That reminds me." Veyle said as she pull out two Emblem Rings.

"Are those Emblem Rings?" Lloyd asked.

"Yep. Ring of the Azure Twins and Ring of the Exalted Princess. I forgot to bring them out. You see. Brother gave me the two rings when I told him of your resurrection. He figured that that we need every available hands we can get."

"I see. But is he here in the village?"

Veyle shook her head. "No. Marni and Mauvier are here but not my brother or Seadall. I hope they're all right."

"Knowing them, they're okay." Lloyd said.

"So, Lloyd, which ring would you like to wear?"

Lloyd rub his chin for a moment. "How about Lucina's ring?"

"Hehe. Okay." Veyle handed the Ring of the Exalted Princess and Lloyd put it on and came out Lucina.

"Hey there, Lloyd." Emblem Lucina smiled.

"Hey there Lucina." Lloyd smiled.

"I heard about what happened to you and... well... let's just say I have the urge to avenge you. But I'm glad your back. I got you covered."

"Thanks Lucina."

"If we ever meet up with my brother. I'm sure he'll provide you with the other Emblems he has right now. Don't forget, we'll be here until we defeat."

"Thanks guys." Lloyd smiled as he and Elie take off. "There are so many people supporting us. We really can't afford to let them down. I know that we're going to take Crossbell back and find KeA."

"Yes, I hope so..." Elie muttered

"So... would you mind me asking what happened after the ceremony, Elie? You haven't been yourself ever since we ran you outside the village."

Elie turn her head to the open view of flowers and walk over there with Lloyd. "I... don't deserve to have the villagers speaking so kindly about me. Not after I turned my back on KeA."

"What?" Lloyd look surprised.

Elie turn to her boyfriend. "Please forgive me, Lloyd. It's not Cecile's fault that KeA isn't here. Not at all. It's entirely mine for abandoning her."

(Trails into Reverie ost - Nightmare to Revive)

"Elie!" KeA yelled as she was hiding with Jigglypuff guarding her from the People of Crossbell are turning on her.

"There you are, KeA!" Elie exclaimed. "I've been looking for you!"

"Yeah! Cecile should be somewhere nearby, too!"

"I see. Quick! Come over and—"

"AAAAA!"

"Run! Or you'll get caught up in it!"

The civilians took off running shoving Elie out of the way.

"Aaah!/Jigleeeee" KeA and Jigglypuff screamed.

"KeA!" Elie yelled as there was no sign of her. "No... " She look around desperately. "KeA? KeA! Where are you?! Jigglypuff! Where are you too?!"

Elie heard a gunshot and turned her head and gasped as she saw Madame Regine was shot.

"Mmgh..." She groaned.

"Madame Regine!" Elie yelled as she look around for KeA but no sign of her. "KeA! KeA!"

"I'm so sorry. This is all my fault." Elie said with a breaking voice. "I could have ran to her and grabbed her hand, but I chose not too. I don't deserve to call myself her guardian, or even be a part of the SSS."

"So that's what happened." Lloyd close his eyes and then shook his head. "It's going to be all right, Elie. KeA's just fine. I'm sure of it."

"How can you be so sure?"

"We've done nothing but force hardship on her ever since we returned from the Azure Tree. While we fought for our home's freedom, she stood by us and helped however she could—despite being separated from her best friend. And never once did she not have a smile on her face. No matter how hopeless things felt, KwA never stopped smiling for us. She never gave up. We were the ones who swore to protect her, and there she was again, being the one protecting and supporting us. Just like always."

Elie shuttered as she wipe her tears with a smile. "You're right. She always has. We were only able to continue smiling ourselves because she smiles was giving us hope. How can one little girl be so positive?"

"I'd like to say she that's how she's always been, but we both know she's even stronger now than she was before." Lloyd smiled and grabbed Elie's hand. "KeA isn't the same girl she was when we first met. She's no longer powerless to fight against a terrible fate that was decided without her consent. She's one of us now—in every sense of the word. Always with us, always fighting and smiling. In just two years, she's grown and become the KeA Bannings we all know and love. I don't know what happened to her, but I know for a fact that she's all right somewhere. And she wanted us to believe her. So, there's only one thing for us to do, right?"

"Yes. You're right again." Elie place her hand over Lloyd's hand. "I think deep down, part of me still thought of her as a helpless child that needs us to look after her. I should have known better. Should have seen that as we were getting stronger, she was right there with us getting stronger, too."

"Well... I'm hardly in any position to judge when it comes to being overprotective of KeA. But the thing is she put her trust in us, so it's only right we do the same thing when she asks, right?"

"You're on fire, huh? Right again" Elie smiled and giving a serious look. "There's so much for us to do right now. The only way we're going to managed is by taking it one step at a time. I'm sure we'll be reunited with KeA as long as we stay with the course."

"That's the spirit. It's only a matter of time before our paths cross again, so we don't want to disappoint her when we meet up. I'd say we owe it to her as her guardians—as her friends."

"This is so like you, Lloyd—always encouraging me when I need it most. But that's what I love about you." Elie smiled. "That night on the roof when I thought of leaving the SSS— even when I decided to become Grandfather's secretary during the occupation. Sometimes I wonder if the only reason I've been able to keep going these past few years is because I knew you were with me, Words can't express how grateful I truly am."

Lloyd chuckled. "I'm flattered, but I don't think I did anything particularly special. I've known for a long time that your future was going to lead you to politicos. And I know you'll make Crossbell and the world a better place. So I'm happy to do whatever I can to give you a push in the right direction if you need it."

"Is that the only reason?" Elie asked, causing Lloyd's attention as she place his hand to her cheeks.

"I hope the reason you look after me so much isn't because we're dating and for the good of Crossbell."

"I thought it would sound cooler if I put it that way." Lloyd smiled as he blushed. "But you got me there. There was more then one reason then being a little straightforward. I want to do what I can to help you realize your dream because... I love you. You're important to me, Elie. I never thought that the two of us would date. And here we are. And..." He scratch his hair. "It would be more... clearly if I have that but..." he place his forehead to Elie. "Elie... I want our days as we grow old together with out friends and family. But more then that. I want our future together... to be as bright as the stars. Will you... marry me?"

Elie gasped as she turn red.

"Yes..." Elie respond as she hug Lloyds. "Yes!"

"Haha..." Lloyd hug back.

The two latter look at each other and then kiss. Elie wrap her arms behind Lloyds's neck and Lloyd wrap his arms around Elie's waste. Lloyd deepen his kiss with Elie as their tongue reveal and then their lips begin to connect when close. All they thought as this moment was each other in bliss. Until they parted their lips, looking at each other with a smile on their face.

"I love you so much, Lloyd." Elie smiled.

"I love you too Elie. My soon bride-to-be."

"Hehe~ I can't wait to share this with the others. But right now. I got what I need to look forward. You always make me feel like nothing is impossible. Not even getting our home back. And when you comfort me when we lost my Grandfather."

"Speaker MacDowell will always be with you, Elie. Always have and always will be. I'll always be here by your side. Always."

"Oh, Lloyd." Elie smiled as she place her forehead with Lloyd. "Oh. We should visit Madame Regina at the clinic."

"Yeah. Let's go see her. Oh, and see Tim too." Lloyd said as she nodded and take off to the clinic.

"There you guys are." A voice said as they turn to see Chie, Yosuke, Rixia, Veyle, Erza, Terra, Gajeel, Lily, Takumi, Sakura, Elise, Camilla, Shulk, Steve, Min Min, Nel, Rafal, Banji and Kazooie, Lucario.

"Hey guys. Finishing catching up with everything?" Lloyd asked

Steve wrote a sign. "Pretty much."

"Same with me and Shanshan. I just wanted to see how she's doing, so it didn't take long." Rixia said.

"You guys are going to speak to madame Regina, right? Should we wait for you here? Because it might be too big for all of us to go in.' Veyle said

"It should be possible to let you all in. Thank you for keeping her in your thoughts too. Follow me." She said as they follow Elie into the clinic and then headed inside, go the the room as Elie knock on the door. "Madame Regina. It's me."

"Elie is that you, dear? Please come in.' Madame Regina's voice in the inside and they go inside the room and see Lecter, Tim, Pikachu and Cecile with her Chancey.

"It's good to see you again, Madame Regina, but are you sure it's all right for you to be sitting up?"

"Lloyd?" Madame Regina blinked. "I remember you were killed before our eyes... But both Major Arundel and Cecile told me what became of you and I couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with joy to see that you're back. But to answer your question... I still feel some lingering pain, but they told me just this much would be all right. I owe the Goddess my deepest thanks. It brings me joy to see you all doing well. Especially you, Elie. You're looking more brighter than you were before."

"Well, I..." Elie smiled as she look the other way as she blushed. "It's true. I do feel much better now.

'Sounds like Lloyd has something to do with it.' Veyle whispered.

'I figured. Mr. Playboy here wasn't going to let her stay down in the dumps.' Lechter smirked.

'You know I can hear you, right? Besides, we're dating!' Lloyd frown. "Ahem. In any case, I'm glad to hear you're doing better, Madame Regina."

"So am I, but please don't overexert yourself and try to rush your recovery. After everything that's happened in Crossbell, I don't know what I would do if something were to happen to you, too."

"She's right." Cecile agreed. "Your condition is stable now, but the clinic is still short on staff and medicine. The best thing you can do for yourself and us is get plenty of bed rest."

"Haha. Oh I will. Thank you for looking after me. The healing from both Ms. Sakura and Ms. Elise was truly excellent. Especially Chancey's egg."

"Chancey." Chansey giggled.

Madame Regina sighed. "If anything, I'm sorry that I couldn't do anything but become so powerless. I'm truly sorry everyone."

"Please don't blame yourself, Madame Regina." Elie sadden.

"I cannot apologize enough to the people of Crossbell for my fellow formal-Ironblood's action." Lechter bow in apology. "I also wish to make clear on no uncertain terms that the imperial government abhors what happened and was not involved The illegal occupation of Crossbell is the work of Rufus Albarea and his alone."

"It wouldn't make sense for the Empire to stage an occupation of Crossbell now after willingly withdrawing it forces not long ago. Though that only ebgs the question of why Rufus is doing this." Elie said

"I can't speak for many we didn't recognize... And some of them don't appear to be human either. But a few of them were wearing the black cloaks Organization XIII was wearing. And I can't wrap my head around Dieter and Garcia helping him. Nor why Xehanort returned." Lloyd said

"Yeah. Organization XIII were the late chancellor's greatest allies to due their involvement around the world to strengthen the Great Twilight. Then we have the formal CEO of the IBC and an ex-jaeger turned mafia boss. Some of the other people were stern, while others are quite beautiful. Rufus and Xehanort got quite the pair or convicts and mysterious group."

"Each of them has a personal history with the SSS." Rixia added. "I've also crossed blows with the Killing Bear as Yin before. Come to think of it, he helped you when you were in prison, didn't he?"

"He did." Lloyd nodded. "Which is why I'm having such a hard time understanding his involvement. They both seemed like they were ready to turn over a new leaf."

"Dieter..." Madame Regina muttered. "What possess you to do this..."

"About that." Elie said. "I had the chance to confront him briefly before I escaped the city."

"You did?!" Lloyd asked.

"What did he say?" Veyle asked.

Dieter chuckled. "Oh, I learn much, I assure you. That is why I am here today." Dieter said. "Back then, my daughter played me like a fiddle. But this time, I am following my own conviction—and that is what led me to join the new united government."

"Uncle Dieter, how can you belie this is the right path?!" Elie asked. "Surely you can see—"

So the question is you all should be wondering." Pikachu stopped and pull out his magnifying glass. "How were these new Zauber Soldots were able to be constructed in such a short amount of time? And another thing? What are those unknown Pokemon that resemble the Pokemon that exist now? How did the EDF get their hands on them? And the biggest question involves Rufus Albarea."

Pikachu turn to Lechter. "Tell me my good man. You did hear Rufus pleaded to his Defense Force to surrender, did he not?"

"Yeah. Rufus did order them to surrender during his cell." Lechter said which caught his attention with an ! over his head. "Hold on... Something doesn't feel right now..."

"Is there something you want to share?" Erza asked.

"Rufus was the one who wanted them to surrender too... but for him to change his mind doesn't make sense to me... It kept nagging me for a while and he wasn't lying either."

"That's also true. I been wondering how did they manufacture the new Soldats. But the Pokemon remains a mystery to me."Lloyd said.

"Perhaps there may be another party in play here." Pikachu spoked as he tucks his detective hat.

"A third party?" Min Min asked. "Are you saying this third party is involve here?"

"It is very possible. But the question is who. And how did they manage to convince Rufus to be the villain as he was before?" Pikachu rub his chin. "But. It also raises more important questions. Major Lecter. Rufus was being monitored in his cell the whole time, yes?"

"Yeah, he's been monitored the whole time. Why? You found something interesting?" Lechter asked.

"Yes. Now let me ask you all something?" Pikachu let out a grin. "How did Rufus manage to return to Crossbell after his escape?"

Everyone has an ! over their heads.

"The ceremony happened just about two days ago, no? And the prison break happened the day before that last night. So how did Rufus manage to make his way to Crossbell? What's more? How did Rufus manage to calculate the defense in Crossbell for the ceremony? Why did Rufus suddenly have a change of heart? It should be impossible for him to scheme in his cell where he is monitored the whole time."

"That's... actually true..." Rafal rub his chin. "Unless the fool knows his magic, he could have teleported to Crossbell but..."

"If he doesn't... He could have taken a fast airship." Nel pointed.

"But that airship would have been spotted, right?" Lucario asked. "And Rufus' sudden change of heart also got my attention. He was willing to accept all of Osborne's actions."

"Yeah. I agree. There's no way for him to suddenly have a change of heart. It would mean he would betray how we Ironbloods to honor the old man." Lecter said. "Someone we know from the CID was both sharp and have keen awareness... they would have notice... and yet somehow... they managed to envade their attention." Lloyd rub his chin.

"Tell me, Lloyd. Do you notice Rufus's behavior was different from the Rufus you know now?" Pikachu asked.

Lloyd let out a small gasp. As he recalled Rufus's words.

"However, Crossbell has no need for you any longer. Now kindly get off the stage. Permanently."

Lloyd rub his chin. "Come to think of it. What Rufus said... I felt... murderous intention."

"Y-Yeah..." Rixia gasped. "I felt that too. It was like he wanted to seek revenge against you Lloyd. No. Not just us. But the SSS."

Elie gasped. "Which is why he ordered that all of the SSS be executed."

"Wait, the hell?!" Gajeel asked.

Madame Regina eye widen. "Yes. You may have a point."

"He wants to kill all members of the SSS?!" Erza glared.

"Whoa, this is seriously turning dark." Banjo said.

"Yeah. There's no way that Rufus wants revenge against you all." Lector stated.

"And yet. Rufus seems to be driven by revenge. But why Xehanort as well? He doesn't have any relationship with any of you SSS members, yes?" Pikachu asked.

"No. He most encounter Rean's group." Lloyd said and then eye widen. "Wait... could... Rufus and Xehanort be after Rean's group too?!"

Everyone have an ! over their heads.

"Even Class VII?!" Shulk asked.

"That... that is not good!" Veyle stated. "Is that why he returned?"

"No. There's no way Xehanort would return or seek vengeance against Class VII. It would betray his redemption ark during the Great Twilight." Lecter pointed out.

"Then what became of Rufus and Xehanort?" Pikachu wondered as he tap his chin. "Rufus will take the blame for the late chancellor of Erebonia by his own accord. And then we have Xehanort who completed his redemption arc. Xehanort appearance raises questions. But for Rufus... Could he be under an enchantment? Or... Is he truly Rufus Albarea. Just like with Xehanort. Because to me. Rufus is driven by Revenge. And for his invasion for Crossball is also motivated by revenge. But think about it... Osborne is the father of Rean Schwarzer. Did Osborne much less Rean ever want to destroy your home, Lloyd?"

"No. He wouldn't want that." Lloyd said until he had an ! over his head. "Wait... are you saying Rufus plans to destroy Crossbell?!"

"Who can say for sure, Detective Lloyd." Pikachu tuck his head before giving a serious look. "This is just one of many possibilities for motivation. Here's what we know so far. Rufus and Xehanort wanted you and the SSS dead. It may also apply that they're also after Class VII. Perhaps the same reason they want to destroy Class VII. All we do know is that they have been driven by revenge. Is destroying Crossbell part of their revenge? It is possible. But these are all theories that we must always have in mind, Detective Lloyd. That includes you, SSS, and everyone. We don't know what their plan is yet. We don't have enough evidence to have a full grasp on their plan. There are many mysteries going on behind the shadows. It is up to us to find out what those mysteries are. The new arrival is Zauber Soldots. The identity of these mysterious Pokemon. Where did they come from? How were they built? And why would both Rufus and Xehanort would seek their revenge now, betraying everything they've done to set things right?"

"You've given us a lot to think about, Detective Pikachu." Lloyd said before he approached and knee down and offer his hand. "You truly are a great detective. Far better then me. You're right. There are clues that are in the shadows. And it's up to us to those clues to prove those theories."

Pikachu smirked as he shake Lloyd's hand. "We detectives got to stick together. We can't rest on our morals just yet. Until we find all the clues we need to grasp the truth, Crossbell won't be liberated completely. Right now, we must focus on gaining both strength and seeking allies to help take back Crossbell."

"You're right. Then can I count on you to be part of the team?"

"Hehe. But of course." Pikachu smirked.

"Pikachu and I will stay here in Armorica village and help out. If there's anything you need. Give us a call okay" Tim pull out his Rotom Phone and they exchange numbers.

"Of course. If we found something out. We'll let you know." Lloyd nodded and turn to Regina. "Madame Regina. I also want you to know you can still thrust us We'll get to the bottom of their motivations and do what we have to do to take Crossbell back." He fist pumped. "We won't allow the independence we'ce worked so hard for to slip through our grasp like this!"

"That's right." Elie agreed. "We're not going to give up on our dream so easily. We can achieve anything when we all work together—the entire SSS. That's never change."

Regina close her eyes. "Very well. Thank you." She open her eyes with a smile. "It's very reassuring to know we have your help."

"And you can count on us too." Erza said. "We'll lend you our strength for this cause."

"I guess I can lend a hand, too." Lechter said.

"Please take care of yourself, Lloyd. I don't want you to die on us again." Cecile pleaded.

"I will, Cecile. Promise." Lloyd said.

"Let's go think on what our best course of action from here will be." Elie suggested as they take their leave.

Regina sighed. "I'm ashamed there's nothing more I can do for them. They have shouldered what should have been my burden, time and time again. Oh, Heney... I'm sorry..."

"Please don't blame yourself, Madame Regina. They're doing what any Crossbellan would if they had the power." Cecile said

"Chansey..." Chansey trailed off.

Cecile look at the window. 'I know Lloyd and his friends can take care of themselves, but please keep lighting their way, Guy."

Once they reach outside, Rixia, Erza and Lucario sense something.

"Look out!" Rixia yelled as a throwing knives attach to the letter was stabbed to the wall.

"Aah!" Sakura exclaimed.

"Where did that come from?! Are we under attack?!" Elie exclaimed

"No. Take a closer look." Lucario pointed as they see a letter attached to it.

Rixia take the letter from it and they look at it.

"A letter? I've never seen anything like this script, though." Lloyd said.

"That looks almost like eastern writing I've seen in Hoshido." Takumi said. "But if it came here... it must be from Zemuria. It must be a code."

"Precisely. I've used this exact code in my work as Yin before. It says..." Rixia turn to the letter.

The Dancer and formal Zero Child are in our care. Come to the Ancient Battlefield to the southeast. We await you.

A note writing in Eastern code delivered on a kunai meant for Yin. Not hard to figure out who it's from..." Lloyd muttered. "Or who they have in their custody."

"KeA and Ilya, right?" Veyle asked.

"Yeah. At least we know they're both all right." Elie sighed in relief.

"I told you, KeA's strong, didn't I?" Lloyd smiled. "Still, why would they be looking after Ilya as well?" Until he realized something that Rixia, Lechter, Erza, most of everyone realized.

"You don't think this is..." Elie turn to Rixia.

"A ransom note, most likely. They wouldn't have waited this long to contact us without a reason." Rixia said. "They may be under their 'care', but that doesn't mean they're safe."

"The Ancient Battlefield is where the cult had its base, right?" Lechter asked. "Can't say I have a good feeling about this, but you're not gonna let that stop you, huh?"

"Of course. As long as there's a chance KeA is there, no danger is too great. We'll do whatever it takes to keep her safe."

"I feel the same way. Not going simply isn't an option if that's where our loved ones are." Rixia agreed.

"All right then. Then let's get going." Chie smirked

"Whoa, not so fat. First we gotta check if we got everything before we go." Yosuke pointed out.

'Hmm? What's this strange feeling?' Lloyd thought.

"Oh, sorry. I thought I sensed something strange, but it must have been my imagination." Lloyd said until he realized something. 'Wait... why does my pcoket feel bulkier all of a sudden?' He pull out a mirror piece. The same that Rean has. "A mirror?"

"Whoa, that look so pretty." Elise said. "But it also so mysterious looking. Where did you get it?"

"I'm not sure. I've never seen it before. Strange as it sounds, it just appeared in my pocket out of nowhere."

"It just appeared out of nowhere?" Shulk asked. "That's odd. That normally doesn't happen."

"Could one of the village children put it in his pocket?" Panther Lily wondered before shaking his head. "No. That wouldn't make sense if they pull it off without our notice."

'But if that's not it, then how DID it get in my pocket? I can't even hazard a guess.' Lloyd thought. 'I feel as though I have it for a reason...'

Suddenly a blue light cloaked everyone, causing them to have !? over their heads.

"Wh-What?!" Lloyd gasped

The Blue light then engulfed both heroes group.
