Safe Travels

Harry pulled his shirt on and buttoned it up while glancing over at the bed.

"You sure you can't stay longer?" Lucas asked sleepily.

"I have work," Harry said.

"And tonight?"

"Teddy and I have plans," Harry said. "I can see you again Saturday evening." He walked up to Lucas and kissed him. "You knew this when you decided you wanted me."

Lucas sighed. "I guess," he said. "I'll see you Saturday." He just wished he could be worth more of Harry's time. A couple of nights a week wasn't that much. He wanted more. They would have to talk about it.

The door closed behind Harry and Lucas sighed before flopping back down on the bed. At least it wasn't that long until Saturday.

Lucas looked up as Harry walked in. He headed over to him and kissed him. "I want to speak with you," he said.

Harry nodded. "Sure," he said. They sat down. "What is it?" he asked.

"I want more time with you"? Lucas said.

"I can't give you that right now," Harry said. "I have work and I have Teddy. "I'm not abandoning my son for you, Lucas. I was pretty clear about that."

Lucas sighed. "So when do I get to meet him?" he asked.

"You were the one who didn't want to," Harry said. He sighed. "Not until after summer. We are leaving, and we'll be gone all of July and most of August. I have a job in Canada, and I'm bringing him and Andy with me."

"So they are more important than I am?" Lucas asked.

"Yes," Harry said simply, because that was the truth. "But I have been clear about that from the start. Teddy will always come first." He raised Lucas chin slowly. "We can talk about including you in that family after this trip," he said. "I have offered before and you have declined, Lucas. It isn't me who has kept you out."

"When do you leave?" Lucas asked. He felt defeated. He definitely hadn't got what he wanted. He had been making plans that included Harry, and now he wouldn't be there. It wasn't fair.

"On the second of July," Harry said.

Lucas sighed. "That's just two weeks away," he said.

"I received the request two days ago," Harry said. "It is a request from within the Nation. I would dishonour my clan by denying. That isn't something I will do."

Lucas wanted to scream, but he knew Harry would just walk out that door and never come back if he did that. If he wanted to keep Harry, he had to accept that this was the way it would be. He leaned in and kissed Harry. "Okay," he said.

Harry smiled into the kiss. He would make it up to Lucas. He just didn't have the time before the trip to do so.

"Teddy, are you ready!?"

"Yes, just give me a moment."

Harry looked at Andromeda. "Sometimes I wonder about him," he said. "He is related to some rather vain individuals, after all. Are we sure he hasn't just got stuck by the mirror?"

Andromeda smiled. "Let him take his time. We are in no hurry," she said

Harry rolled his eyes playfully. She was right, of course. They were heading to Canada so he could ward the property of a goblin lord living there. He had some issues with his warders and didn't want to take someone in who wasn't part of the Nation. Thankfully, Harry fit that bill.

Teddy joined them finally. His bag was packed. His hair was the same brown as Andromeda's and swept back the same as Harry's hair. His eyes were bright green to match Harry's eyes. "Is this okay?" he asked. He was keeping the same look for the entirety of the trip. He wanted to make sure no one would think he wasn't related to his guardians.

"You look amazing, Teddy," Andromeda said. She placed a hand on his shoulder and apparated them to Gringotts. Thankfully, the goblins had provided a long-distance portkey for the trip.

Harry shrunk Andromeda's luggage down and headed after them. He walked over to a teller and filled in some papers for them.

"How old is the boy?"

"Eight," Harry said.

Clawfield filled the rest of the papers in before sending one of the runners off for the portkey. He brought passports out and handed them over to Harry, who handed them out. "Keep track of this," he told Teddy.

"Yes, dad," Teddy said. He looked at the passport. Therion Edward Remus Black. He smiled. They were going to Canada for Harry's job, but he had also been promised several trips to different destinations while they were there. School had ended a week ago, and they weren't coming back until right before school started back up. He was looking forward to this. He had a whole list of places he wanted to visit.

Harry placed his hands on Teddy's shoulders and squeezed gently. He smiled at Balkar as he returned with their portkey. "May your gold grow," he said.

"And your enemies falter," Clawfield said.

Andromeda reached out to touch the portkey and Teddy grabbed at the chain as well. Harry activated it and they were gone. They wouldn't be living with the Lord. Harry had arranged accommodations elsewhere. The first day would be spent just getting used to the flat they would be living in. Harry would be meeting with the Lord the following day.

Teddy sat down by the kitchen table with his scrapbook for Susan, he was hoping to get a lot of pictures. He brought his camera out and started it before looking down at the rest of his stuff. He had everything laid out already and a list of all the places he hoped they could go to.

"Pick something smaller nearby that you and I can go see without Harry," Andromeda said as she sat down next to him.

"We could go to Casa Loma," Teddy said. "Major-General Sir Henry Mill Pellatt had it built in 1903, but he never finished it. For a while, it was used as a hotel and now parts of it are a museum for the Queen's Own Rifles of Canada."

Andromeda chuckled. Just like his mother and her husband, Teddy sometimes sounded like he had swallowed the encyclopedia. She shook her head. "Okay, we can go there," she said. "I just need to know where it is."

"Toronto in Ontario," Teddy said. "I can point it out on a map. Are we near Toronto?"

"We are near Montreal, so what do you think, Teddy?" Andromeda asked kindly so he could have a look at the map and find them.

Teddy brought a map out and looked at it. He found Toronto and scanned the map slowly until he found Montreal. "At least it is on this side of the country," he said. "We can go, right?"

"Show me the place we are going to," Andromeda said. "I'm sure we can get there."

Teddy smiled.

The next morning, Harry hugged Teddy goodbye before he headed over to the Manor he was going to ward. He took the Lord's hand and let him show him around. "You have impressive grounds here," he said.

"Thank you. Most goblins get uneasy with all the open sky, but I can't stand being sealed beneath the stone. Canada is good because it is so big and open. Humans don't pay that much attention to a big piece of land like this not being accessible to them," the Lord said. "I entrusted a goblin warder with the creation of the wards, but he got sick up here, so they were never finished. I'm hoping you can just work with what we have already."

"If I can't, I can start over," Harry said. "I will need to walk the edge of your grounds to know just how far the wards need to reach."

"My son can help you with that," the Lord said. "He was born up here, so he feels just as I do. He is a youngster still, but as you are part of the Nation, that won't be an issue." He waved a younger goblin over. "This is the warder," he said. "My son Calum. Please show Master Black the extent of our grounds. He needs to walk them to get a feel for the size he is dealing with."

Calum nodded. "Sure, father," he said. He looked at Harry. The human looked like he would have no problems keeping up, so he just started walking. Eventually, he asked how come Harry had managed to become a member of a Clan. Harry smiled softly and told the young goblin his story as they walked. Unlike when humans asked, he could reveal much to his brethren within the Nation that he had to keep mum about with humans, though there were still things he couldn't say.

It took them most of the day just to walk around. Harry had been laying down runes as they went so it wouldn't feel like a waste of time. It felt like the old wards were grounded only to the house, and that was well and good, but it was a lot more straining on both the wards and the warder.

"So, what do you think, Master Warder?" the Lord asked as they joined up for dinner in the evening.

"I think I'm better off making the wards in sections that I then weave together," Harry said. "The wards will eventually be whole, but it will be easier if I start by making four sections. That's how I warded Gringotts though we used a lot more than four sections, and we kept them separate within the collective wards. I could do that here as well, but it is more complex, so managing the wards after will be harder too."

"But it would mean that should a section fail, the wards won't all fall?" Calum asked.

"Correct," Harry said. "It is possible to section a house up as well, but you started needing a directory at that point just to keep track of what is going on."

"Can you make this directory?" the Lord asked.

"Yes, that is part of what I gained my Mastery on," Harry said.

"I have no issues paying for this, just make the wards the best you can and section if that makes them safer," the Lord said.

"As you wish," Harry said.

"May I watch your work, Master Black?" Calum asked.

"Can you use magesight?" Harry asked.

Calum shook his head. "But it would be really cool to learn," he said.

Harry looked at his father. The lord seemed to consider his son's words for a moment. "Please teach him and add it to the tab," he said.

Harry nodded. "As you wish," he said. He returned home that evening with aching legs. He smiled as Teddy hugged him. His son spoke at length about all the things he had Andromeda had seen, and Harry was happy to listen.

The days progressed quickly after that. Teddy and Andromeda went on adventures while Harry started building the wards as well as teaching Calum. The young goblin looked upon the wards with wide eyes. "You are working on that part, right?" he asked as he pointed west.

"Yes," Harry said. He weaved through the magic as Calum watched.

"Is each string a sequence of the wards?" Calum asked.

"Yes, and each string woven is a stronger ward," Harry said. "Each knot and interlace makes for a connection that adds to the whole."

Calum watched in fascination as Harry worked. He had never seen anything quite like this. The wards were works of art. A net woven, so no harm would come to them. Harry used latent magic in the house to aid him as well as magic from the people living there as we made sure his own emotions stayed far away from these wards. He headed over to his father's study after Harry left. "Master Black weaves magic with such precision, I don't think I have seen anything like it before."

"You should go look at wards made by goblins now to see the difference, son."

"Oh, I will," Calum said. Said and done, though, he found no wards quite as intricately woven as the ones Master Black was making for them. He couldn't tell if that meant Master Black's wards were overworked or just well-made, though. He didn't know enough about wards to make the judgement.

The roaring waters of the Niagara Falls filled their ears. Soft mist pulled from the foaming cascade landed as a mist over their skin and clothes. Teddy raised his camera. He wanted as many pictures as possible, and he wanted his family to be in them.

Harry laughed and pulled his son into his lap. He heard the clicking of the camera as he looked at Teddy. He was off work for a few days to recharge, and they were making the most of it.

The tour guide spoke and Teddy lowered his camera to listen to her. His eyes were bright and smiling. The boat swelled a little, and Harry chuckled at the surprised faces around them.

"That was amazing," Teddy exclaimed as they got off the boat. "I hope I got some good pictures."

"Oh, I'm sure you did, dear," Andromeda said. She ruffled his hair and smiled at Harry, who smiled back at her. They followed after Teddy as he headed up so they could walk around the Falls.

That evening, Harry walked into Teddy's room as he got ready for bed. He sat down next to Teddy with a copy of Lord of the Rings. They were finally getting to the good parts, and Teddy curled up against his father as he listened to him read about goblins and trolls. He liked Aragorn. He was cool.

Harry stopped reading as Teddy fell asleep. He marked back a few pages just in case and laid Teddy down properly. He tucked his son in before heading out to the kitchen so he could grab the full camera from the table, and sat down by his computer to unload it for Teddy.

"How much more do you need to do for the wards?" Andromeda asked as she walked up behind him and rubbed his shoulders slowly.

"Another week's work at least. I'm mostly finished with the base warding, but there is a lot of work in the weaving and adaptive wards that still needs to be done," Harry answered. "After that, though, we'll head over to the parks that Teddy wants to visit."

Andromeda smiled. She patted his shoulders. "That sounds good," she said. "I think he is eager to get going."

"No, really," Harry said. It wasn't like he had noticed at all. Teddy had been bouncing around all evening. He had so much energy, and he was so enthusiastic about everything he and Andromeda had been to see. They spent the evenings, with Teddy just telling his father what he had been up to. Harry had added text to the scrapbook. Now he just needed to finish the wards so they could continue on their way. He headed over the following morning and got to work.

About midday, Harry looked up at the wards and bound them down to a monitor. He headed inside with the magical cuff and knocked on the Lord's door. "Everything is ready," he said. "I can hand them over now." He held the cuff out.

The Lord held his hand out and Harry placed the cuff on his wrist as he transferred the wards over. The Lord stood there blinking for a bit before everything settled. He moved through the ward functions easily and marvelled at just how simple everything was. "I assume it isn't this easy to tap into the wards?" he said.

"No, it is not, and that cannot simply be taken from you either. It binds to you, and you need to add your heir in as the next in line. If you do that, the wards and controls will shift automatically when you die," Harry said. "No need for my involvement or anyone like me. The wards are not static, as you might notice. This means they will adapt and repair if damaged."

"If you make enough wards like this, will warders be needed in the future?" the Lord asked.

Harry smiled. "I'm good, but that doesn't mean I'm perfect. Someone will improve upon my design or find some better way of anchoring it. Wards are alive and there is no one way to make them."

The Lord nodded slowly. "Thank you," he said. "You have dedicated a lot of magic to this and done so pure. I appreciate that you are leaving nothing of yourself behind."

Harry bowed. "As I'm not a goblin even if I am part of the Nation, I see no reason to leave claim in my work when dealing with an individual or family," he said. "I hope you will be in contact if something comes up. I have wards like these on my own property. If you wish, I will be in contact if I find a major improvement that can be made."

"That would be appreciated," the Lord said. He handed Harry the papers he would need at the bank and saw him off. "So, son," he said as he turned to Calum. "Do you want to be a warder?"

"I think not," Calum said. "But I might set a child of mine up with Master Black if they are able."

"Wise choice."

With the wards done, Harry brought his family with him across Canada and down into the United States. They went to national parks and museums before ending their stay in Disneyland.

Teddy ran ahead of his father as they headed for the next ride. He was having a blast. It was so much fun to go on the rides and eat the strange food. He felt hands on his shoulders as Harry caught up with him. He waved at Andromeda. She wasn't going on that many rides, but she seemed happy enough that they were happy. She raised Teddy's camera and took a picture of them. Since Teddy couldn't take the camera on the rides, she was in charge of pictures while they were in the park.

This was their last day in the park. They had spent a grand total of four days there, so Teddy could see everything there was to see. He thought it had been fun, but he actually enjoyed their stays in the national parks more. His had clutched onto Harry's tightly as they moved towards the next ride. He liked being outdoors and travelling around in nature with animals all around him more than the rides, but eh had wanted to do it at least once.

It was late when they left the park. Harry drove them back to the hotel, and they headed up towards their rooms slowly. Teddy yawned and rubbed his eyes, and Harry stopped walking so he wouldn't be alone. The boy looked up at his father and smiled tiredly at him. He took the offered hand and followed his dad, almost on autopilot.

"You guys okay?" Andromeda asked. She had stopped just a little further ahead.

"We'll be fine, Teddy is just tired," Harry said as he smiled and stopped walking so he could pick Teddy up. His magic flowed out around them, forming a tight cocoon around Teddy, before they slammed against the wall and collapsed.

Everything went dark.

Green eyes opened slowly. Something was weighing him down. Teddy moved his head carefully as he heard voices around him. "There are live ones over here!" someone shouted. Black hair brushed his cheek. "Dad?" he said. "DAD!" He tried to move up, but his arms wouldn't listen to him.

"Teddy!" Andromeda pushed her self off the floor and way from the person checking on her.

Teddy was lifted off his father and placed on a stretcher as Andromeda sat down next to him. "I'm right here, sweetie, just try to stay awake for now. They will take care of Harry, I promise." Her face had bleeding scrapes all over it, and she looked terrified.

Tears streamed down Teddy's face as he clutched his grandmother's hand. What if his father didn't make it? They were taken to an ambulance, and he could feel it as it started moving. People were talking quickly. He couldn't focus on them. The shock and adrenaline wore off eventually and Teddy fainted.

Andromeda let them check on her once they were done with Teddy. She had been further ahead, so she hadn't been caught as badly by the blast. She was still wondering what had happened. One second Harry was picking Teddy up and the next they were laying on the floor in a pile of rubble. She had seen them from her position on the floor as her ears rang.

"Ma'am, you have two broken ribs, try not to move too much."

Andromeda hadn't noticed. She needed to know that her boys were okay, and she didn't even know where Harry was. Tears were running down her face as the tension slowly ran off her. She was split from Teddy so they could treat them.

Hours passed by.

Green eyes opened slowly. Harry drew a deep breath and looked around slowly. His head hurt. He could move his limbs, though, so hopefully he hadn't broken anything. He was alone in a hospital room. Where were Teddy and Andromeda. Had they separated them?

A nurse walked into the room. Her lips moved, and Harry drew a rattling breath as his mind caught up with what was going on. "I… I can't hear you," he said, and his own voice felt so loud he reached up to clutch his head. He breathed in a ragged breath, and he realised he could hear that too. What was going on? His whimper was so loud he started shaking. Why could he hear himself like this?

The nurse froze as she watched him, unsure what to do at first, before she hurried out of the room. She returned a short time later, holding a clipboard in her hands. 'Name?' she wrote.

"Hydrus Wezen Iacomus Black," Harry said quietly. It was uncomfortable hearing his own voice in his head when there was n other sound. "Where is my son?" he asked. It was the only thing that really mattered. Teddy had to be okay.

The nurse looked up at him. 'I'll check for him,' she wrote. 'What is his name?'

Harry reached out and took the pad she was holding with shaky so he could write his son's name. If he had lost Teddy… he couldn't. His head was killing him, and he felt like shit. His magic must have protected him at least to a certain extent because he felt drained.

'The doctor will come and check on you in a bit. We need to do some tests,' the nurse wrote.

Harry nodded slowly. "Okay," he said. He hoped they would figure out what the hell was going on. He wanted Glint. She was the only one he really trusted to look him over. It wasn't like he could get a hold of her now. Not stuck in a hospital bed. He closed his eyes just to try to get the headache to go down.

A hand touched his shoulder and jerked away from them. The nurse pointed at a wheelchair, and he moved out of the bed slowly. He was kind of glad he couldn't hear them. At least then, he didn't know what they were talking about. He did his best to keep up with what was going on, but the pain and the confusion of hearing himself breath as well as his own pulse was a bit much. He was quite glad to get back to his room and just fall back asleep.

As Harry returned to oblivion, Teddy woke up slowly and looked around. His grandma was sitting next to him. He reached for her. His dad wasn't there, though. "Where's dad?" he asked.

Andromeda smiled sadly at him. She shouldn't have left her room, but she didn't care. She wasn't leaving Teddy on his own not knowing what was going on. "I don't know, Teddy," she said. "I'll try to find out."

"We just have some tests we need to run, but it seems as if he is uninjured," the nurse said. "We'll need to bring him."

They were heading out of the room as another nurse walked up to them with a slip of paper. She glanced over at Andromeda a few times before she was waved off by the nurse escorting them. She returned while Teddy was with the doctor. "Excuse me, but your name is Andromeda Tonks, right? You are the emergency contact for Hydrus Black?"

"I am," Andromeda said. "We were all in the same explosion, but we were separated when going to the hospital."

"Well, he is here," the nurse said. "He is mostly doing fine, but well, there are some complications."

"Complications?" Andromeda asked.

"Yes well. He is in room four, eighteen." The nurse disappeared before Andromeda could say anything else. She closed her eyes and leaned back until Teddy was brought out again. He was sleeping, thankfully. After accompanying them back to his room, she headed through the corridors of the hospital until she finally found herself by the room where Harry should be. She pushed the door open and walked inside.

Harry looked serene where he lay. His hair had spread out on the pillow, and she could tell that he needed a haircut. She walked up to him and scanned him quickly. She had been a healer for years. That didn't just go away, even if she did try to behave with her family. In that way, Glint was a blessing.

She sat down next to him and reached out to touch his hair carefully. "What is going on?" she asked. There was no one there who could answer her, though. She sat there for a long while before slowly rising again. She needed to return to Teddy. Strong fingers wrapped around her wrist and she turned to Harry. "Harry," she said. He grabbed her wrist as she touched the side of his head. "Can you get Glint here?" he asked softly. "I want her to have a look at me."

"Of course, Harry. I'll…" Andromeda looked down at herself. The damage she had sustained she could probably fix with a couple of spells, even if she shouldn't. "I'll go right away." She tried to pull away from him, but he wouldn't let her.

"Andy," Harry said. "Andy, I can't hear."

Andromeda closed her eyes and drew a deep breath. "Okay," she said. "I'll let Glint know." She really hoped the goblin and her team could come to get them. She would be far better for Harry and Teddy. Not that this nomag medicine wasn't amazing, but she wanted her family treated properly.

The magical district of Orlando was a mess and a half to get through, but she found the Nation's office and walked inside. She waited patiently for her turn and sat down with the clerk once she was called in.

"State your business," the clerk said.

"I need to send a message to Healer Glint Pyrehart stationed at the Gringotts office in the United Kingdom. It is a priority message in concerns to Warder Hydrus Black of the Nation," Andromeda said.

"If Hydrus Black wishes to send a priority message, we will have to come in person," the clerk said.

Andromeda smiled sweetly at him. "Lord Hydrus Black is currently laying in a nomag Hospital. Healer Glint is his personal healer. Her husband is his Master, but sure, if you want to blacken your shield over this, I will send the message the slow way." She rose and headed for the door. There were very few ways for a goblin to become an outcast. Administration errors was one of the few ways that was possible. Other violations were often met with death

"And you are willing to put your honour on this, Madam Tonks?" the clerk asked.

"Oh, certainly," Andromeda said.

The goblin glared at her. "Write your message," he said.

It took less than a day for a team of people to move through the hospital where Andromeda were watching over her boys. They presented paperwork and removed both Harry and Teddy from their care smoothly and quickly.

Glint reached out as she finally had Harry in a proper room for healing. She scanned him and worked through his body slowly. His magic had done an amazing job keeping him safe, but the shock wave had still done some damage. Most of all, to his head. She didn't dare touch any of that without him awake.

She moved over to Teddy's room and checked on him. He seemed to be doing quite well. "I made sure that no one will have too many questions at that Hospital. Your names will fall out of memory and disappear from any written record. The people we have on that are good."

Andromeda nodded. "Thank you," she said.

"Let Dwayna looked you over," Glint said. "I want to make sure you are okay as well."

"How is Harry?" Andromeda asked.

"He is mostly uninjured. His magic took care of the worst of it, so he is a bit low. We will have you all on medical transport home as soon as you are all stable," Glint said. "As for his hearing, I want him awake before I handle any of that. There are so many small parts, I don't want to mess anything up."

It took another day before Harry woke up. By then, both Teddy and Andromeda were healed. Teddy sat and poked at his food. He knew his dad was with Healer Glint, and she would do her very best to fix him, but he hadn't been allowed to see him yet.

Glint walked up to Harry as he opened his eyes. She placed a hand on his arm before motioning for him to pull his legs up. She placed a screen against his legs. "This screen will translate what I say to text for you," she said as she tapped the screen.

Harry read the text and nodded slowly.

"I will scan your ears," Glint said. "Can you tell me anything I might need to know."

"I can hear me," Harry said. "I can hear my own voice. My breathing, my heartbeat."

Glint nodded as she touched his head. She considered what that might mean. "I contacted a colleague of mine who knows more about this kind of injury. Are you willing to see him?"

"Yes," Harry said.

The goblin that entered look eccentric and colourful. He pushed down a pair of multi lensed glasses. "So this is the human. I am Vekk. Glint tells me you have an ear injury."

"I do," Harry said.

"Well, let's see here. You can hear yourself?" Vekk asked. "Do you want to keep that?"

"If the alternative is losing my hearing entirely. I would rather keep this," Harry said. He kept his eyes on the screen as the healers worked on him.

Vekk shook his head. "His magic has miss healed him," he said. "If it hadn't we might have been able to fix this, but I think the best thing we can do now is cement what he has. Though I will look into a way to get him hearing again if I can," he said.

"So I lost my hearing because my magic has been conditioned to heal me," Harry said softly.

Vekk looked at Glint with a concerned look. Conditioned was not a good word.

"He was mistreated as a child to the extent that his magic has need to step in for him," Glint said.

Vekk sighed. "Yes, that would be why this…" He sighed. "I will see what I can do." He reached out and healed what he could. "You will need a tutor in sign language," he said. "For your convenience."

Harry nodded. "For me and my family," he said.

Glint nodded. "Of course, Harry," she said. "I'll get it set up for you. The good thing is that magical sign language is international. You will be able to communicate with anyone that knows how to sign."

Harry smiled sadly. He was glad that she was thinking of things he would need, and told her as much.

"We will move you back to Britain later today. I would like to keep you at Gringotts for a few days at least, though," Glint said. "Now, if you are up for it, your son would like to see that you are still okay."

Harry nodded. "Please let him in," he said. He looked towards the door as Glint walked over to it. It didn't take long before Teddy came rushing into the room. Harry caught him and hugged him close. He moved back and watched Teddy's lips move, but he couldn't hear his voice. He had no idea what he was saying.

Teddy moved and fell quiet. His father would normally at least make sounds to show that he was listening. "Dad," he said.

"Teddy," Harry said softly.

Teddy stared at his father. His voice sounded all wrong. "What's wrong?" he asked.

"I can't hear you," Harry said. "I can't hear. Healer Vekk and Glint say I will probably never hear again."

Teddy bit his lip. "Okay…" he said, but the rest of the sentence died.

"Glint says we can learn how to sign to each other," Harry said. "So we can still talk to each other, just not with our voices."

Teddy looked at him. "Yeah," he said.

Harry sighed softly and hugged his son close. "We will figure this out," he said. "I know we will." he looked at Andromeda. "I want to learn how to read lips too," he said.

Andromeda nodded. She would happily help him with that. She would help with anything he needed at this point. She had almost lost her boys. Never again. She walked up to them and placed her hands on Teddy's shoulders. "We will help Harry, and we will learn," she said.

Teddy looked up at her and nodded. "Okay, grandma," he said as he turned slightly so he was curled against Harry's side. "Will we go home soon?" he asked.

"We will head back to Britain in just a few hours," Andromeda said. Then they needed to start figuring out just what they had to chance for Harry's life to function. That would take some work, but they would get through it and adapt, just like they had so far.
